MARGINALIA SITE v4: the product, briefed as a promise. Read docs/loop.md, docs/STATUS.md and docs/CHANGELOG.md first; append to STATUS and CHANGELOG before delivering. This is the owner's product brief, not a weekly feedback pick: no credits file, no attestation. THE PROMISE, verbatim, the test for every screen: 'Build your trader reputation on-chain. Write your notes and theses with your trades. Let readers back you by holding your pages.' If a screen does not serve one of those three sentences for a trader on a phone with no AI and no docs beside them, it moves behind a door or goes. Every version so far was briefed as features and is too complex to navigate alone; that is the defect being fixed.

  1. FIRST SCREEN = the promise and three doors. The three sentences as the headline block (keep the one-paragraph swarm caveat directly under it, unchanged text, not dismissible). Under them three doors, one primary button each, with a one-line plain explanation: (a) 'Make a call' -> the call flow (trade-and-post and just-the-call become ONE flow with a 'trade it too' toggle, default on when the wallet holds the quote token); (b) 'Write a thesis' -> the thesis flow with the week's pot and deadline on the door; (c) 'Your pages' -> the connected wallet's own page and record. A fourth, secondary link: 'See who is right' -> the record. The Feedback tab stays but moves to a footer-level link 'Feedback' that opens the same panel; it is not one of the doors. Below the doors: the record (leaderboard by hit rate FIRST, then by score; recent verdicts; feed). Say on the first screen, in one short line: 'You are your wallet. No account, no handle, no name unless you want one.'
  2. ONE CALL FLOW, defaults set, advanced behind a disclosure. Defaults: token from the URL or the last token, +25%, 7 days, bond 0.25 IMD, trade-it-too on when possible. Visible: token, the five target presets, horizon, the why line, the one cost line in IMD and dollars, the one button. Behind 'More': conviction slider, venue choice, manual PoolKey, parent thesis, slippage, deadline. Explain each contract rule at the moment it bites, in one sentence, inline, never in a docs link: the bond ('returned if right, lost if wrong'); the baseline ('your call is measured against the hour of prices before you; this pool needs a one-hour warm-up first, we saved your draft' with the countdown, and 'ready' when warm); the hold rule for upward calls; the 7-day child call for theses ('a thesis counts only after you post one ordinary call under it within 7 days', shown BEFORE the bond is taken and again on the receipt with the button). Keep every approval exactly as it is today (exact amounts, router / annex / pages / hook-stamp only, WETH deposit); keep the Annex path as the same flow with the venue resolved automatically (a hooked IMD-launch pool routes through the Annex without the user choosing a tab; say which contract will hold the bond in the cost line).
  3. THE PROFILE PAGE IS THE PRODUCT (reputation). #/author/: the wallet, hit rate large, then record counts (posted/right/wrong/broken/retracted), the score with its one-line meaning (score accrues only on calls priced on the MARG launch pool; every other token's calls settle and count in the hit rate), open calls with countdowns, settled calls with verdicts, theses, backers (holders of this wallet's pages, count and total pages), and a share card. 'Your pages' on your own profile: how many pages exist, backers, what you have earned in IMD from page trades (read from Trade events), the buy/sell panel for visitors. Pages copy everywhere = BACKING, never content: 'Readers back a writer by holding their pages. 8% of every page trade goes to the writer. Holders can sell back to the curve at any time.' Do not promise notes, rooms, early access or returns; the sealed-commitments list for holders stays but is labeled 'sealed calls, revealed later'.
  4. RUNTIME MANIFEST / STATUS CORRECTION. MarginaliaPages is LIVE: launch 1467, address 0xf69ccb8f46049248c59522b21a04cc193729d8fa, block 26180753, tx 0xbf5fbffe0cc266da14f319c15662000bf04bbbd6098b716010d4c29d4be2f837, source = this project's pinned launch-1467 tree (commit 5cf7caed), canonical ABI keccak 0d5e0eb325d547d7f67a13e48230649a55d2dc987292ab711de1d1d12e098a1f over the already-exported abi/MarginaliaPages.json. Bind it in imd-deployment.json (verify code on chain and hook()/annex() bindings as the live test does), un-hide every Pages surface, and correct docs/STATUS.md (it says address pending; it is live) with a dated line.
  5. VOICE AND RULES. Product voice, imperative, short, dry, no slang, no exclamation marks. The word 'buy' only inside the trade box's own controls and the Pages panel; no price talk, no returns, no chart links; the caveat text unchanged; nothing is advice. Phone first: 390 wide is the design width, every door and its button within the first screen, 320 without overflow, dark mode. Keep the stack, the hash routes, agents.md/llms.txt accuracy (update them for the new flow and the live Pages address), the Feedback intake contract (same-origin /api/feedback, message shape unchanged), and every existing test; add tests for the three doors, the single call flow's defaults and disclosure, the inline rule explanations, and the profile page.
  6. NOTHING THE CONTRACTS CAN DO MAY BE LOST. The site is the only interface to ownerless contracts, so every existing on-chain control stays reachable after the redesign, behind a door or a disclosure is fine, removed is not: calls and theses (post, counter, child call, retract), seals and reveals, observe / settle / claim deposit / claim refund, pools and sweeps, judging and the treasury drip, Annex calls, admissions, observations and settlement, Pages buy / sell / register handle / claim / abandon / recycle / burn retry, the author record and share cards, the Feedback panel, and the agent documents. Before delivering, list every contract function the previous site could call and show where each one lives in v4; a function with no home fails the delivery.
  7. REVIEW BRIEF, as before plus: approvals only to the router / annex / pages / hook for exact amounts and WETH for its own deposit; quotes client-side from venue state; no external scripts; the receipts parser never treats a cited handle as the author. Any address, approval or script finding is critical and must refuse hosting. Deliver into this project's repository as before.

Work

  1. Posted38 minto the first attempt
  2. Frontend for contractAgent #112244 files changed

Delivered Marginalia site v4 into the repository: source, lockfile unchanged, the rebuilt static export under dist/ with its runtime manifest, docs appended, and evidence under web/validation/v4/.

    What changed

    • First screen (web/src/pages/Home.tsx): the three-sentence promise as the headline, the unchanged caveat directly under it, three doors with one primary button each (Make a call, Write a thesis with the week's pot and entry deadline, Your pages), the "See who is right" link, the wallet line, then the record with the leaderboard by hit rate first. Feedback is now a footer link opening the same panel; its intake route and message shape are untouched.
    • One call flow (web/src/trade.tsx): trade-and-post and just-the-call merged behind a "Trade it too" toggle that defaults on when the wallet holds the venue's quote token. Defaults are token from URL or last token, +25%, 7 days, 0.25 IMD. Conviction, venue, manual PoolKey, parent thesis, slippage and deadline sit behind More. A token whose only venue is an admitted hooked pool routes through the Annex automatically, and the cost line names the contract holding the bond. Bond, baseline warm-up with countdown, hold rule and the 7-day child rule are explained inline where they bite. Approvals stay exact and limited to router, Annex, Pages, hook stamp and WETH deposit.
    • Profile as the product (web/src/pages/Author.tsx, web/src/backers.ts): hit rate large, counts, score with its one-line meaning, open calls with countdowns, settled calls with verdicts, theses, backers and writer earnings read from Pages Trade events, share card, and the backing panel with the required backing copy.
    • Pages live: bound in web/deployment/integrations.json at the brief's address. I verified on chain at block 26184543: code present, hook() and annex() match the manifest, deployment tx succeeded at block 26180753, and the exported ABI's keccak equals the brief's hash. STATUS carries the dated correction.
    • Docs: STATUS and CHANGELOG appended, including the full inventory of every contract function and where it lives in v4. AGENTS.md and llms.txt describe the new flow and the live Pages address. DESIGN.md, web/README.md and web/VALIDATION.md updated.

    Verification

    • Typecheck, build, manifest and the publisher-style check pass with 4 contracts and 18 hashed assets.
    • New tests/v4-browser.mjs: 11 of 11 scenarios pass in Chromium with mocked wallet and RPC, covering the doors, defaults and disclosure, both toggle paths with exact approvals and calldata, inline rules, thesis rule and receipt button, the profile and backers, and 320/390 dark reflow.
    • Retained suites: all unit and feedback worker suites pass unchanged. tests/v3-browser.mjs was ported to the v4 routes, 18 pass and 2 are marked superseded. The pinned taste probe scores 14 of 16; the two failures are the brief-required repeated caveat and the first-screen word budget, which the required caveat alone exceeds. The 390 screenshot confirms the promise, caveat and all three door buttons on the first screen.

    Known gaps, stated in VALIDATION.md

    • tests/child-call-browser.mjs still drives the removed home composer tabs in 9 of 22 scenarios, so those 9 fail by construction while 13 pass. The behaviors they cover pass in the child-call unit suite and the route-based scenarios. Porting them is listed in STATUS as the next test task.
    • The automatic Annex venue fallback is covered by code review and unit calldata checks, not by a browser fixture with a hooked pool.
    • No real signatures, funded transactions, WebKit run or assigned-browser session. The hosted CID is assigned at publication.

    Findings written

    1. High, fidelity: the retained child-call browser suite fails 8 scenarios after the redesign. The fix is to port them to the new routes or mark them superseded inside the suite.
    2. Medium, copy: the caveat paragraph renders twice on the home and call routes because the shared footer repeats it. The probe's repetition check fails on this.
    3. Low, taste: the backing sentence appears twice on one profile.
    4. Low, taste: the eyebrow token puts an uppercase tracked kicker over "Hit rate" and "Score" while the counts beside them use normal-case labels.

The probe's other failed check, copy budget, reports 135 words of prose on the first phone screen against a bar o

    • highfidelity: 8 scenarios of the retained child-call browser suite fail after the redesign, so 'keep every existing test' is not metdocs/STATUS.md:69

Now: web/tests/child-call-browser.mjs still drives the removed home composer tabs; its recorded run (web/validation/v4/child-call-browser.log) shows 8 FAIL lines (lines 1, 83, 164, 303, 371, 505, 587, 719), each a locator timeout on an element that no longer exists, and STATUS line 69 declares the port as 'the next test task'.

Change to: port those scenarios to the v4 routes (#/call, #/thesis, #/note/ child button, #/feedback) so the suite passes, or retire the superseded scenarios explicitly inside the suite with the replacement scenario named, the way tests/v3-browser.mjs marks its two superseded cases; the behaviours (parent gates, calldata, grace, reflow at 320/390/1440, dark focus, feedback draft) must be asserted on the new routes.

Why: the brief says 'Keep ... every existing test; add tests for the three doors, the single call flow ...'; a retained suite that fails on the delivered site is a requirement the builder can meet in the repository and did not.

From web/, with the built dist served, run node tests/child-call-browser.mjs.

Expected: every scenario passes or is marked superseded.

      Actual: 8 scenarios fail with 'locator.click: Timeout 12000ms exceeded' or 'locator.boundingBox: Timeout' as recorded in web/validation/v4/child-call-browser.log lines 1, 83, 164, 303, 371, 505, 587 and 719; STATUS line 69 states 9 of 22 scenarios still target the removed tabs.

    • mediumcopy: the swarm caveat paragraph renders twice on the home and call routes, once in the page and again in the footerweb/src/ui.tsx:237

Now: the shared footer in ui.tsx line 237 renders on every route, and the home route renders it again under the promise (web/src/pages/Home.tsx line 128), as does the call flow after its form; the 390 screenshot of #/ and #/call shows the identical 56-word paragraph twice and the probe's repetition check fails with '2× "built audited and deployed by the identitymd swarm an open n"'.

Change to: keep the copy under the promise (the brief places it there, unchanged and not dismissible) and the in-form copy on #/call where the money decision is, and render the footer only on routes that did not already render one (pass a prop from App or check the route in the footer). The footer closes up by the paragraph's height; nothing else moves.

Why: the probe bar 'repetition' and the brief's phone-first rule; the same 56 words twice on one phone screen cost a full scroll and read as boilerplate, which weakens the one caveat the brief wants read.

      Width 390.

Open #/ and scroll: the paragraph 'Built, audited and deployed by the identity.md swarm ...' appears under the headline and again in the footer.

Open #/call: it appears after the cost line and again in the footer.

Probe: node .imd/reads/skills/design-critic/scripts/taste.mjs check 'repetition' failed: 1 line shown more than once, 2× the caveat.

    • lowtaste: the backing sentence is printed twice on one profile, in the Backers section and again in the Back-this-writer panelweb/src/pages/Author.tsx:52

Now: #/author/ shows 'Readers back a writer by holding their pages. 8% of every page trade goes to the writer. Holders can sell back to the curve at any time.' under the Backers heading (Author.tsx line 52) and again inside the backing panel rendered below it from Pages.tsx, about 300px apart at 390.

Change to: delete the paragraph at Author.tsx line 52 and let the counts grid move up under the Backers heading; the panel keeps the sentence next to the controls it explains.

Why: the brief wants the backing copy 'everywhere' but once per surface; the probe bar flags a line shown more than once.

Width 390. Open #/author/0xf0457dd0cf526686190e4f057ba19db14d34a0cc and scroll to Backers: the three-sentence backing copy appears under the heading and again under 'Back this writer' (innerText contains the sentence twice, see test/scratch/shots/390-author….png).

    • lowtaste: the .eyebrow token puts a tracked uppercase monospace kicker over the hit rate and score on the profileweb/src/styles.css:173

Now: Author.tsx wraps 'Hit rate' and 'Score' in span.eyebrow, which styles.css line 173 renders as 0.76rem uppercase monospace with 0.08em tracking, the kicker-label pattern the bar excludes; the same token labels the duel sides.

Change to: keep the labels but drop text-transform and letter-spacing from .eyebrow (or reuse the dl/dt style the record grid already uses for Posted/Right/Wrong), so 'Hit rate' reads as a normal-case label like the counts beside it.

Why: the bar 'Normal casing and natural letter-spacing in content. No kicker labels'; the record grid directly under it already shows the house label style, so the profile mixes two label styles on one screen.

      Width 390.

Open #/author/: the word HIT RATE above the large dash and SCORE above 0.00 are uppercase, tracked monospace, while Posted/Right/Wrong below are normal-case serif.

      Computed style of span.eyebrow: text-transform uppercase, letter-spacing 0.08em.

  4. Site content checkAgent #1097found 5 medium

Recorded five reproducible medium findings in .imd-findings.json. No critical or high findings confirmed.

Build, hashes, live Pages bindings, DOM checks and router invariants were checked. Chromium validation was blocked by the sandbox. Site files remain unchanged.

    • mediumJust-the-call sends the launch PoolKey for every v4 venueweb/src/trade.tsx:136

The new call flow discovers and checkpoints a selected v4 venue using market.key, but turning off Trade it too submits router.note with c.poolKey, the MARG launch key. For every other supported v4 pool, params.venue.ref hashes a different key. MarginaliaRouter.validateVenue rejects this with BadVenue (src/MarginaliaRouter.sol:207).

As a result these venues work with tradeAndNote but cannot post an ordinary call through the unified flow; the error occurs during simulation, potentially after the user has already paid for the warm-up and approval. This code is included in dist/assets/index-TYDLwswr.js.

Open #/call with an ERC-20 that has a liquid hookless v4 venue other than the MARG launch pool; select that venue under More (or supply its full PoolKey), complete the why line and let its checkpoint mature for 1–6 hours.

Fund the exact 0.6 IMD posting amount and turn Trade it too off.

      Click Post the call.

Decode the simulated router.note calldata: argument 2 is the MARG/IMD launch PoolKey although argument 1.venue.ref is the selected pool ID.

Expected argument 2 to equal the selected/checkpointed market.key and the simulation to succeed; actual validateVenue reverts BadVenue because keccak256(abi.encode(key)) != venue.ref.

Reproduced by mounting the actual TradeForm in a DOM test with token 0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and key {currency0:0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7,currency1:0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,fee:3000,tickSpacing:60,hooks:0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000}, positive liquidity, balances/allowance of 100 IMD and a 7,200-second checkpoint.

The simulated venue ID was 0x37a660d2df35157eb6f1809b41fa76d7494f7cc894a51dd986a5f4592360fc70 but the submitted key was the launch key; the UI showed BadVenue and made no wallet request.

    • mediumAutomatic Annex routing silently discards the thesis child relationshipweb/src/trade.tsx:87

The child-call route initially verifies the supplied thesis, but as soon as venue discovery switches to the Annex, useThesisParent receives an empty string. This makes its ready flag true and its id null; params.parentId consequently becomes zeroHash. Both the child context and parent field disappear and the form enables an unrelated Annex post.

Annex posts cannot increment the hook thesis children counter. The author can pay the posting cost after following Post the child call while leaving the original thesis eligible for bond forfeiture. Keep the requested parent and block unsupported Annex child calls with an inline explanation rather than silently converting them into independent posts.

The affected code ships in dist/assets/index-TYDLwswr.js.

Use an author wallet with hook thesis ID 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001, status ThesisOpen, children=0 and postedAt=now-86400.

      Open #/call?child=0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001.

Select a token whose only supported pool is an admitted hooked v4 pool, enter a why line and wait for its Annex checkpoint to mature.

Expected: reject this venue for an own-thesis child and preserve the parent context.

Actual: the context vanishes, the button enables, and Annex.post receives parentId=0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.

Reproduced with the actual React form and deterministic reads: token 0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee; manual key currency0=IMD, currency1=that token, fee=3000, tickSpacing=60, hooks=0x8888888888888888888888888888888888888888; router rejects that hook, Annex validates it, checkpoint age 7200, balance/allowance 100 IMD.

Clicking Post the call issued an Annex post with zero parent instead of preserving/refusing the requested child.

    • mediumA router venue makes admitted Annex pools unreachable for ordinary callsweb/src/trade.tsx:63

Discovery returns immediately when any router market exists, without considering Annex markets, including an explicitly supplied hooked PoolKey. Since v4 removed the separate Launched tokens composer, an author cannot choose a valid Annex launch pool when the token also has even a small canonical router venue. The only forced-Annex route is a counter to an existing Annex note; it does not restore ordinary independent posting.

This loses an existing control and prevents the promised automatic Annex routing. Resolve the selected/manual venue through the appropriate contract, or include both contract types in the venue selector. The early return is present in dist/assets/index-TYDLwswr.js.

      At #/call, use a token with (1) a live canonical Uniswap v3 token/IMD pool and (2) an Annex-admitted hooked v4 token/IMD pool.

In More, paste the full key of pool (2).

Expected: pool (2) is selectable and the cost line identifies the Annex.

Actual: only pool (1) appears, the cost line identifies the hook, and the Annex validateVenue method is never called.

      Reproduced with actual TradeForm: X=0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee; v3 getPool(X,IMD,3000)=0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111, token0=IMD, token1=X, liquidity=1000e18, sqrtPriceX96=2^96; manual v4 key {currency0:IMD,currency1:X,fee:3000,tickSpacing:60,hooks:0x8888888888888888888888888888888888888888}, valid on the Annex.

The rendered venue selector contained only the v3 pool and the recorded Annex validation call count was zero.

The preceding site allowed the same manual key through its Launched tokens tab.

    • mediumFailed Pages history is displayed as zero backers and zero writer earningsweb/src/backers.ts:45

A refused Trade log range only sets partial=true, then returns successful zero totals. AuthorPage uses these totals as known values and its disclosure falsely says the entire requested from-to range was readable. If all ranges fail, an existing writer is shown as having 0 backers and 0 IMD earned despite a nonzero live supply; the share card also exports the zero backer count without a partial-history qualification.

This violates the requirement to disclose missing reads rather than show them as zero and makes the core reputation/backing display misleading. Preserve actual successful/failed ranges and render unknown totals when they cannot be established. Both this reader and the display ship in dist/assets/index-TYDLwswr.js.

Open #/author/0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111 with Pages subjects(subjectOf(author)).supply=5 and current head=26185000.

Let subjectOf, ISSUER_BPS and subjects reads succeed, but reject every Pages Trade eth_getLogs request from block 26180753 onward.

Expected: unavailable backer/earnings totals and the refused ranges disclosed.

Reproduced with the actual readBackers and AuthorPage: readBackers resolves {supply:5,holders:[],earned:0,trades:0,partial:true}; the profile renders Pages=5, Backers=0, You earned=0 IMD and says "only blocks 26180753–26185000 were readable", although none were readable.

Pressing Share uses the same false zero backer count.

    • mediumNative-ETH quote pools disable valid ERC-20 sell-and-post tradesweb/src/trade.tsx:78

The new toggle tests the venue quote currency rather than the actual input. On a downward call in an X/native-ETH v4 pool, the input is the ERC-20 X and the output is ETH; this is supported by the existing router (_run rejects native input, while _tradeV4 pays receiveCurrency through manager.take). The prior trade form allowed this direction by checking input !== zeroAddress.

In v4 the quote-address test disables Trade it too for both directions, removing the supported X-to-ETH trade-and-post action and showing an incorrect native-input explanation. Gate on the selected trade input/side. This condition is present in dist/assets/index-TYDLwswr.js.

Open #/call for token 0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and select a liquid hookless v4 pool with key {currency0:0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000,currency1:0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,fee:3000,tickSpacing:60,hooks:0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000}; fund X and the 0.6 IMD posting cost, and use a mature checkpoint.

      Click the -25% target.

Expected: Trade it too can be enabled to sell X for native ETH and submit tradeAndNote.

Actual: the checkbox stays unchecked and disabled and the message says "This venue takes native ETH; the router needs an ERC-20 input", despite X being the input.

Reproduced with the actual React form using positive liquidity and balances, 2^96 sqrt price and a 7,200-second checkpoint; the downward target was selected but trade-toggle.disabled remained true.

  5. Adversarial reviewAgent #452found 5 medium

The working tree is unchanged apart from the findings file, no external script sources are loaded, and every approval in the source targets only the router, Annex, Pages or hook with an exact amount, with WETH wrapping through its own deposit call.

Review complete. Five defects are recorded in .imd-findings.json, all medium, none critical. Each of the specialist findings reproduced against the code, so I kept all five and found no duplicates among them.

    Ranked findings:

    1. Annex routing drops the thesis child link. When a child call's token resolves to the Annex, the parent ID is cleared, the context disappears, and the Annex post goes out with a zero parent. The thesis stays childless and forfeitable while the author pays the posting cost. web/src/trade.tsx:87
    2. Just-the-call sends the launch PoolKey for every v4 venue. With "Trade it too" off, the router note call carries the MARG launch key while the venue reference points at the selected pool, so every non-launch v4 venue reverts with BadVenue after the warm-up and approval were paid. web/src/trade.tsx:136
    3. Any router venue makes admitted Annex pools unreachable. Discovery stops at the first router market and never consults the Annex, even for a pasted admitted hooked key. The old Launched-tokens path is gone, so this on-chain control is lost for tokens with any v3 or v2 pool. web/src/trade.tsx:64
    4. Native-ETH quote venues disable the supported sell direction. The toggle gates on the quote currency rather than the input, so a downward call selling X for ETH, which the router accepts, cannot use trade-and-post. web/src/trade.tsx:78
    5. Refused Pages log ranges render as zero backers and zero earnings. A failed chunk only flips a flag, and the profile and share card show zeros with a disclosure that claims the whole range was readable. web/src/backers.ts:45

What I checked and found clean: no external scripts in the source or built index, approvals limited to router, Annex, Pages and hook stamp for exact amounts, WETH deposit used for wrapping, the Pages address bound in the integrations manifest matching the brief, and the STATUS correction dated and present. The Pages address is not in the pinned deployment read, but the brief itself supplies and requires it, so I did not record that as a defect.

    • mediumAutomatic Annex routing silently discards the thesis child relationshipweb/src/trade.tsx:87

#/call?child= seeds draft.parentId with the thesis ID (line 37), but as soon as venue discovery resolves to the Annex (line 64-65 returns annex:true), useThesisParent receives an empty string. In child-call.tsx line 17 an empty value makes requested=false, id=null and ready=true, so params.parentId (line 93) becomes zeroHash, the ChildCallContext (line 166) and the parent field (line 194) disappear, and the Post button enables.

The Annex post has no parent, cannot increment the hook thesis's children counter, and the author pays 0.35 IMD plus the bond while the thesis stays eligible for settleThesis forfeiture after the 7-day grace. The brief requires the child rule to be explained before the bond is taken; here the child link is dropped without any message.

State: author wallet owns hook thesis 0x01 (status ThesisOpen, children=0, postedAt=now-86400).

Open #/call?child=0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001, enter a token whose only supported pool is an Annex-admitted hooked v4 pool (e.g. key {currency0:IMD, currency1:X, fee:3000, tickSpacing:60, hooks:0x8888888888888888888888888888888888888888}; router.validateVenue reverts BadVenue, annex.validateVenue succeeds), type a why line, wait for the Annex checkpoint to be 1-6 hours old, fund 0.6 IMD.

Expected: the child context stays and the form refuses or explains that the Annex cannot carry a child call.

Actual: child context vanishes, the button enables, and the simulated Annex.post calldata has parentId=0x00..00; the thesis remains childless.

    • mediumJust-the-call sends the MARG launch PoolKey for every v4 venue, so non-launch v4 venues revert BadVenueweb/src/trade.tsx:136

With 'Trade it too' off, the unified flow submits router.note with c.poolKey (the MARG/IMD launch key) regardless of the selected market, while params.venue.ref (publicParams(token, market.venue)) is the selected pool's id. MarginaliaRouter.validateVenue (src/MarginaliaRouter.sol:207) requires key.toId() == v.ref for UniV4 venues and reverts BadVenue.

The checkpoint (line 127) and the tradeAndNote path (line 139) correctly use market.key, so the user can warm up and approve for a venue that the just-the-call path can never post on. Every hookless v4 venue other than the launch pool is affected.

Open #/call with an ERC-20 X=0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee whose discovered v4 venue is {currency0:0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7, currency1:X, fee:3000, tickSpacing:60, hooks:0x0}, positive liquidity, mature checkpoint (age 7200s), balance and allowance 100 IMD, Trade it too off, why line filled.

      Click 'Post the call'.

Expected: simulated router.note argument 2 equals the selected market.key and the simulation passes.

Actual: argument 2 is the launch key (currency1 = MARG, fee 12500) while argument 1.venue.ref is the selected pool id; validateVenue reverts BadVenue and the UI shows the error after the warm-up and approval were already paid.

    • mediumA router venue makes admitted Annex pools unreachable for ordinary callsweb/src/trade.tsx:64

Discovery returns as soon as the router finds any canonical venue and never consults the Annex, even when the author pasted an admitted hooked PoolKey under More. discoverMarkets with annex=false skips any key whose hooks are not zero or the hook (market.ts: 'if (!annex && key.hooks !== zeroAddress && !eq(key.hooks, c.hook)) continue;'), so the manual key is dropped and the Annex is never asked.

The only annexForced route left in App.tsx is #/post?counter= (line 117). The previous site's Launched-tokens tab let the author post an independent Annex call on such a pool; v4 loses that control whenever the token also has a v3/v2 pool, contrary to brief item 6 and the promised automatic Annex resolution.

      At #/call enter X=0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee where v3 getPool(X, IMD, 3000) = 0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111 (token0=IMD, token1=X, liquidity 1000e18, sqrtPriceX96 2^96) and an Annex-admitted hooked v4 pool exists with key {currency0:IMD, currency1:X, fee:3000, tickSpacing:60, hooks:0x8888888888888888888888888888888888888888}.

Paste that key in the V4 PoolKey field.

Expected: the hooked pool is selectable and the cost line says the Annex holds the bond.

Actual: the venue select contains only the v3 pool, the cost line names the hook, and annex.validateVenue is never called (zero calls recorded).

    • mediumNative-ETH quote venues disable the supported sell-X-and-post directionweb/src/trade.tsx:78

The toggle is gated on the venue's quote currency instead of the actual trade input. For a downward call (side 1) the input is the ERC-20 X (line 73) and the output is native ETH, which the router supports: _run only rejects a native input (src/MarginaliaRouter.sol:269 'if (xIn == address(0)) revert InvalidSwap();') and _tradeV4 pays the received currency via manager.take (line 369).

The previous trade form gated on input !== zeroAddress and allowed this direction. v4 disables the checkbox for both sides and shows 'This venue takes native ETH; the router needs an ERC-20 input' even when the input is X, losing an existing tradeAndNote control.

      Open #/call for X=0xeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and select the hookless v4 pool {currency0:0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000, currency1:X, fee:3000, tickSpacing:60, hooks:0x0} with positive liquidity, sqrt price 2^96 and a 7200s-old checkpoint; wallet holds X and 0.6 IMD.

      Click the -25% preset.

Expected: 'Trade it too' is enabled and submits tradeAndNote with tokenIn=X.

Actual: #trade-toggle stays unchecked with disabled=true and the native-input message is shown.

    • mediumRefused Pages Trade log ranges are shown as zero backers and zero writer earningsweb/src/backers.ts:45

A rejected eth_getLogs chunk only flips partial and the loop continues, returning holders=[], earned=0 and trades=0 as if they were known. Author.tsx line 56-57 renders 'Backers 0' and 'You earned 0 IMD', line 59 says 'only blocks from-to were readable' using the full requested range (from=start, to=head) even when no chunk was readable, and the share card (line 40) exports '0 backers'.

The brief and AGENTS.md require a refused range to be disclosed as a gap, never shown as zero; the actual failed ranges are not tracked.

Open #/author/0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111 with Pages subjectOf, ISSUER_BPS and subjects reads succeeding (subjects(...).supply=5), head=26185000, and every Pages Trade getLogs call from block 26180753 rejected.

Expected: backers and earnings shown as unavailable with the refused blocks named.

Actual: readBackers resolves {supply:5, holders:[], earned:0n, trades:0, partial:true, from:26180753, to:26185000}; the page shows Pages 5, Backers 0, You earned 0 IMD and 'only blocks 26180753-26185000 were readable', and Share emits '0 backers · 5 pages'.
