Redesign the existing The IMD Daily frontend from the latest accepted identity-md-launches/launch-2368-the-imd-daily source. Publish at https://the-imd-daily.sites.imd.fun (label: the-imd-daily); report any naming blocker. Preserve all routes and working features. No contract redeployment, issue publication, mint reset, price change or storage/content changes. Keep the old site until the new URL is tested. Test new-origin access to the existing VPS upload service.

ART DIRECTION: A late-night independent newsroom in a futuristic city, featuring a charismatic green frog reporter in a black IMD cap reading a newspaper. Sophisticated editorial typography meets illustrated cyberpunk newsprint. Predominantly ink black/navy (#070D10), subtle teal rules (#17444A), warm white text (#F4F0E6), restrained lime (#8FE85D) and cyan (#47CDD5). Cream is for the newspaper itself, not the entire site. Strong custom identity, not a generic SaaS template. No glassmorphism, repeated rounded cards, excessive neon glow, huge empty hero or emoji substitutes for artwork. Keep text on dark quiet surfaces; never place paragraphs over busy scenery.

ASSETS: Create and bundle original production-quality illustrations: 1) a wide subdued futuristic newsroom/city backdrop, 2) a cutout frog journalist at a desk with newspaper and IMD mug, 3) a small frog reading emblem for the masthead. Reuse these coherently; optimize WebP/AVIF with fallbacks. Bundle all artwork; no hotlinks or README-only assets. Use image-generation tools for finished art. No geometric placeholder art. Do not rasterize the whole website: headings, controls, cards and all live data remain real accessible HTML. Never invent news or alter uploaded PDF artwork.

DESKTOP COMPOSITION: At 1440px, use about 32px outer gutters and a max-width around 1560px. Header about 84px high: small frog emblem and compact blackletter The IMD Daily wordmark left; Today, Archive, My Collection, About navigation centrally; Connect wallet right. Keep Vault and Publisher desk accessible in the footer. Bundle licensed fonts; use blackletter only for the brand, a confident editorial serif for headings, clean sans-serif for UI, tabular digits for amounts/time.

Below the header, build a three-column lead with roughly 30% / 43% / 27% widths after gaps. LEFT: small cyan INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY PRESS label, serif headline 'The world of IMD.' then lime 'One edition at a time.', short copy 'Free to read. Yours to collect.', and the frog reporter illustration anchored at the bottom. CENTER: the latest issue's REAL first-page cover dominates, preserving its proportions/colors, with subtle stacked-paper edges and shadow. No fake replacement cover. Clicking opens the reader. Put Read the edition and Download PDF directly beneath it. RIGHT: calm dark collector panel with thin teal border, heading Collect this edition, compact stamp-like frog emblem, 24-hour open edition label, actual price, live countdown, quantity minus/input/plus, total and mint action. Green primary action, restrained glow. No oversized decorative NFT ad.

MINT ACCURACY: Keep exact approvals, mint, errors, pending states and receipts. 0.1 IMD per copy; ETH is only gas. No capped supply, rarity, sellout percentage, progress-to-supply bar or invented minted count. Show actual minted supply and chain-derived deadline. After expiry show Closed, retain reading/downloads and prevent mint. Preserve recipient selection in an optional expandable area. Keep balance/gas details compact and readable. No automatic transactions.

Below the lead, add a thin metadata strip with actual issue ID, editorial date, Free PDF reading and open/closed status. Then The archive with real cover thumbnails and dates, touch-scrollable on mobile, plus the current issue's saved editorial summary. Do not invent historical issues, page counts or extracted headlines. Hide sections without data. Preserve editions and balances.

READER/MOBILE: Reading mode removes the city scenery and presents wide PDF pages on a quiet dark surround, preserving zoom, page controls, download, fullscreen and lazy loading. Below 1100px simplify columns; below 760px show compact header, real cover and Read button first, collector second, archive below. Reduce mobile decoration; no scaled desktop screenshot. No horizontal overflow. Keyboard access, contrast, reduced-motion support and large touch targets.

SERVICE/DELIVERY: Keep https://the-imd-daily.duckdns.org as upload service; set it as the shipped default while retaining saved settings. Preserve wallet authorization and file hashes. Test existing issue reading, archive, wallet connection, publisher health/login, approval/mint failure states and mobile layout without real purchases/publication. Deliver updated hosted site, commit, artwork, desktop/mobile screenshots and tests. Separate mocked checks from live checks; report unresolved issues. Screenshots alone are not completion.

Three defects are recorded in [.imd-findings.json][findings], with verified source snippets, measured reproductions, and proposed fixes:

    • bug: Entering 1.5 copies becomes a valid purchase of 15. Preserve the input and reject nonintegers.
    • accessibility: WebKit skips the PDF scroll area during keyboard navigation. Make it explicitly focusable.
    • bug: Switching editions retains the previous mint confirmation and receipt. Key the collector by issue ID.

Chromium and WebKit each passed 17 standard live checks; the isolated mocked suite passed 46 records. Additional checks reproduced the defects above. No real purchase or publication occurred. Site source files remain unchanged.

The requested public URL returns 404. Hosting and public URL verification remain after review; no naming-specific blocker was established.

The visual idea is a late-night frog newsroom framing real newspaper editions.

    • mediumbug: quantity entry turns decimal input into a larger valid purchaseweb/src/components/MintPanel.tsx:133

Now: The quantity field removes punctuation before validation, so entering 1.5 produces 15 copies and a 1.5 IMD total with aria-invalid=false. A negative value such as -2 similarly becomes a valid 2.

Change to: Keep the entered string in qtyText and let parseQuantity reject decimals and negative values; retain the existing invalid-quantity message and disable Collect until a whole positive quantity is supplied.

Why: The collector must preserve accurate quantities and totals. Silently converting an invalid amount into a larger valid purchase can request an unintended approval and mint.

At 390×844 in Chromium, load #/ while the live issue is open.

Focus Quantity, select its contents, and type or paste 1.5.

Expected: invalid whole-copy input, no purchasable total.

      Actual: input value 15, aria-invalid=false, Total 1.5 IMD (15 × 0.1 IMD).

Repeat with -2: actual value 2 and Total 0.2 IMD.

Reproduced without connecting a wallet or submitting a transaction.

    • mediumaccessibility: Safari keyboard users cannot scroll the PDF pagesweb/src/components/Reader.tsx:154

Now: The PDF scroll container has no tabIndex. WebKit omits it from keyboard focus, so keyboard users can select a page but cannot scroll within it or pan a zoomed page.

Change to: Add tabIndex={0} to .reader-pages and identify it as a labeled region, retaining the existing visible focus style. Verify Page Down, arrow keys and horizontal scrolling after tabbing from Download in WebKit.

Why: The brief explicitly requires keyboard access and usable reader zoom/page controls. A tall page must remain readable below the toolbar without a pointer.

In WebKit at 1440×900, open #/read/1 and wait for the real PDF canvas.

At 100%, the first page is 1414px high while .reader-pages.clientHeight is 845px.

Focus the toolbar Close button and Tab through the controls: after Download, focus goes to BODY and then Close; .reader-pages never receives focus.

Focus Download, press Tab, then PageDown: .reader-pages.scrollTop stays 0, so the lower 569px of page 1 cannot be reached at this scale using the keyboard.

In Chromium the same sequence focuses .reader-pages and moves scrollTop to 739, confirming the WebKit-specific failure.

    • mediumbug: switching editions carries the previous mint confirmation and receiptweb/src/pages/IssuePage.tsx:37

Now: IssuePage reuses an unkeyed MintPanel when the issue route changes. Its step state persists, so the new edition displays the previous edition's mint confirmation and receipt. The same unkeyed panel is used in the latest-edition lead.

Change to: Key MintPanel by issue.id at both call sites so changing editions creates fresh transaction state and pending completion stays attached to the original edition.

Why: The brief requires accurate mint states and receipts. A receipt for issue 2 must not be presented as confirmation inside issue 1's collector.

At 390×844 in Chromium and WebKit, use the isolated wallet/RPC fixture with two published issues, both open, issue 1 supply 0, and allowance 0.1 IMD.

Open #/issue/2, connect the mock wallet, and confirm Collect 1 copy using only mocked submission and receipt responses.

The decoded mint arguments identify issue 2, quantity 1.

Change the hash directly to #/issue/1 without reloading.

Expected: an idle collector for issue 1.

Actual: heading Fixture one and 0 copies minted appear alongside Confirmed: 1 copy collected and the same Etherscan receipt for the issue 2 transaction.

Reproduced in both engines; no real transaction or purchase was made.
