Every weekly board/today.json GET awaits notedAuthors before returning any entries (web/worker/feedback.js:88). This loop processes only six authors at a time, with two RPC reads per author and no total time budget. Zero posted counts are never cached, so a board with ordinary reader feedback repeats all of those reads on every refresh.
The hosted client aborts the entire board after 20 seconds (web/src/feedback.tsx:12). Thus a modest board plus slow but successful RPC responses makes all entries and the panel pick inaccessible in the UI, even though the feedback store works. Bound the total badge work or perform it asynchronously, returning unbadged entries when reads cannot finish promptly; cache verified zero results briefly as appropriate.
This is an availability defect, not content that must block hosting.
Update the no-backend claims for the new feedback serviceweb/src/ui.tsx:237
The footer rendered by dist/assets/index-Du3m0aFA.js still says there is no backend. The About page repeats that claim (web/src/pages/About.tsx), and dist/index.html repeats it in noscript. In v3.2, Feedback sends the signed message, wallet address and signature to /api/feedback, where the worker stores them in KV and durable storage.
The feedback form does disclose that entries are public, so this is a misleading architecture/privacy statement, not a hosting blocker. Describe feedback as the server-backed exception to the direct-chain reader.
Preserve the selected Feedback tab when Ethereum finishes loadingweb/src/pages/Home.tsx:93
In the hosted app (dist/assets/index-Du3m0aFA.js), clicking Feedback during startup changes only App.bootFeedback. When loadContracts resolves, App replaces the startup composer with HomePage, whose independent tab state defaults to trade because the click never changed the hash. This removes the feedback form while the visitor is reading the rules or typing. pageDraft preserves the text, but the visitor must discover that they need to reopen Feedback.
Carry the selected tab through startup or synchronize it to the route.

- bug: Ethereum startup closes the active Feedback form. At 390×844 in both browsers, selecting Feedback during loading switches back to Trade and post when loading completes. Chromium leaves the visitor at scroll position 1034, looking at the scoreboard. Preserve the selected tab and active form across startup. Source: Home.tsx:93.
- fidelity: the site still promises there is no backend. The footer, About page and noscript copy contradict the new Worker-backed feedback intake. Remove those obsolete claims. Reproduced in the rendered footer and About page at 390×844. Source: ui.tsx:237.

Now: Feedback selected in the startup view is stored in App.bootFeedback, but HomePage creates a separate tab state from the unchanged URL. When Ethereum finishes loading, the active form disappears and Trade and post becomes selected; the visitor remains scrolled down into unrelated scoreboard content. The text survives only if they find and reopen Feedback.
Change to: Keep one composer selection across startup and the loaded home, and preserve the active Feedback instance and its pending/result state through that transition.
Why: A signature-only feedback interaction must remain usable while unrelated chain reads finish; loading must not replace the interaction the visitor is using.
fidelity: the site still promises there is no backendweb/src/ui.tsx:237
Now: Every loaded page footer says "No backend", About says "This site has no backend", and the noscript text says "There is no server behind this page." Feedback now sends the signed message and wallet address to the site Worker, which stores and publishes them from KV.
Change to: Use "Read directly from Ethereum. No analytics or third-party scripts." in the footer; remove "no backend and" from About and remove the second noscript sentence in web/index.html. Keep the feedback form's public-data disclosure.
Why: The new off-chain intake makes these absolute statements false. Removing the obsolete claims preserves the existing voice without adding implementation detail.
Adversarial reviewAgent #865found 2 medium, 2 low
I found four defects: two medium and two low. None is high or critical, so none carries a Foundry proof. All four are in
.imd-findings.json, ranked by severity. No other file was changed; the untracked dotfiles thatgit statuslists were already in the working tree.- Medium: the board and
today.jsoncan time out on badge lookups (web/worker/noted.js:41). The route won't return any entries until it has checked every author's "posted a note" badge on chain. Those checks run six authors at a time with a 4-second timeout per RPC. Only a positive result is cached, so authors with no note are re-checked on every request. The page gives up after 20 seconds and shows an error instead of the entries and the pick. The oracle's read oftoday.jsonis just as slow.- Reproduced (one of three specialist findings I kept): with 37 new authors and each lookup taking 3.5 seconds, the response took about 24.7 seconds.
- Worked out from the code, not run: if the first configured RPC accepts connections but never answers, the setup reads plus one lookup add up to 20 seconds or more, even with a single unbadged author.
- Medium: most of each week's entries can never be ranked (
docs/loop.md:18). Signed weeks start on Thursday, but the snapshot is taken on Sunday. Anything posted from Sunday 00:00 to Thursday 00:00 UTC (96 of 168 hours) is accepted with a 201 and uses up the wallet's weekly quota. It is never in any week's allow-list. Example: an entry signed at 1792281601 belongs to week 2963, but the next Sunday's snapshot is week 2964.loop.mdadmits this, but the form just says "The panel picks each Sunday." This partly comes from the brief itself, which sets both the Sunday schedule and the unix/604800 week. So it's a scope decision for you: rank the previous full week on Sunday, or tell visitors on the form. - Low: the copy still says "no backend" (
web/src/ui.tsx:237,web/src/pages/About.tsx:70). The Feedback tab now sends the signed message, signature and wallet address to/api/feedback, which stores them. - Low: a Feedback tab picked during startup is lost. At
web/src/pages/Home.tsx:93, the home page takes its tab only from the URL. Clicking Feedback while Ethereum is still loading doesn't change the URL, so the page switches to Trade once loading finishes. The typed text is kept in memory, but the visitor has to click Feedback again.
Checked and found correct:
- Signature and ID: the signed message is the exact compact JSON in the required key order and is recovered offline. The ID is
keccak256(abi.encode(address, week, text)). - Limits: the hourly and weekly limits are enforced one wallet at a time, a retry of the same signed entry is idempotent, and changing the kind for the same text returns 409.
- Inputs: text is capped at 600 UTF-8 bytes and invalid Unicode is rejected, the handle check matches the spec, and requests with a different origin are refused.
- Documents:
today.jsonhas exactly the requested fields. The adopted-ledger and pick checks are consistent with the manual append helper. - Thesis notice: the "venue is not stored on chain" notice now appears only after priced calls.
I didn't run the existing test suites, since passing tests were already established.

Footer, About and noscript copy still say the site has no backend, while Feedback POSTs signed messages and addresses to a server that stores themweb/src/ui.tsx:237
v3.2 adds a server route, /api/feedback. It receives the signed message, the signature and the wallet address, stores them in KV and a Durable Object, and serves them publicly. The footer on every page still says 'No backend'. web/src/pages/About.tsx:70 says 'This site has no backend and no analytics'.
This is a misleading architecture and privacy statement, now that Feedback depends on a backend.
Serve dist/ with the feedback Worker mounted.
Open #/about or any page footer: it says there is no backend.
Then open #/?tab=feedback, enter Site / 'Make the next step clearer.' with an empty handle, and sign.
The Network panel shows POST /api/feedback carrying {message, signature, address}, and the Worker stores entry::.
Expected: the copy names Feedback as the server-backed exception.
Actual: the copy says there is no backend.
A Feedback tab chosen during startup is lost when Ethereum finishes loading and HomePage resets to Tradeweb/src/pages/Home.tsx:93
During boot, App.tsx:88 renders a placeholder composer whose Feedback button toggles App-local bootFeedback state without updating the hash. When the contracts load, HomePage mounts and takes its tab only from the hash, so it shows 'trade'. The Feedback form the visitor was reading or typing into disappears with no action from them. pageDraft keeps the text in memory, but the visitor has to notice and click Feedback again.
