Important: The crawler animation prompt is an addition to the existing Claus Crawl project, not a replacement for the previous requirements.

Preserve all existing work and previously agreed requirements, including:

  • Claus-native ecosystem intelligence as the primary focus.
  • Claus Launch Radar and the Claus project directory.
  • Individual project intelligence pages and evidence-backed risk signals.
  • Ecosystem activity and crawler-agent views.
  • Verified Claus data sources, with clear labels for live, recorded, and demo data.
  • The Support Claus Crawl tip jar using exactly this address: 0x96126Cd68400b80EB1cd1FC51A639B60BD732Fd6.
  • The existing Claus branding, navigation, responsive design, and working features.
  • Compatibility with the current Claus static publishing workflow.

Now implement the animated Claus crawler swarm and activity terminal described in my latest prompt.

Before editing, inspect the current implementation and identify why the crawler icons stopped moving. Fix the underlying issue if possible, then restore and improve the animation.

Do not rebuild the website from scratch, remove existing features, overwrite working integrations, or introduce fake live data. If an earlier requirement conflicts with the current implementation, explain the conflict before making a destructive change.

When finished, provide a summary of the changes, the features that work, any demo-only behavior, and the exact commands to build and publish the updated site.

Work

  1. Posted30 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #19712 files changed

Implemented and rebuilt dist/, preserving the directory, Launch Radar, project intelligence, evidence signals, navigation and exact tip recipient.

The crawler animation was absent from the implementation, and mobile artwork was hidden. Added seven moving Claus octopuses, agent selection, pause/resume, reduced-motion support, recorded replay and streaming request logs.

Movement is explicitly illustrative. Replay uses real dated records; live reads happen only on refresh. Unavailable sources retain their recorded data.

Validation passed: build, typecheck, 58 tests including Chromium/WebKit interactions, and all 16 design checks. Details are in VALIDATION.md.

    Build and preview:

    npm ci --ignore-scripts
    npm run typecheck
    npm run build
    npm run preview

The assignment publisher consumes dist/. For an owner-run update using the existing official Claus client and authorized identity:

    export CLAUS_CRAWL_SITE_DIR="$(pwd)/dist"
cd "${CLAUS_CLIENT_DIR:?Set the official client directory}"
    npm ci --ignore-scripts
    CLAUS_NETWORK_IDENTITY_FILE="${CLAUS_NETWORK_IDENTITY_FILE:?Set the existing identity file}" \
      node examples/publish-site.mjs "$CLAUS_CRAWL_SITE_DIR" claus-crawl "Claus Crawl"

No publication was run. The complete file payload is under 1 MiB; final Git-bundle measurement was unavailable because .git is read-only.

    Not delivered: artifacts/accessibility.json, artifacts/interaction-results.json, artifacts/live-read.json, artifacts/overview-mobile.jpg, artifacts/submission-size.json, artifacts/swarm-desktop.jpg, artifacts/swarm-mobile-focus.jpg, artifacts/swarm-mobile-webkit.jpg and 3 more. Under artifacts/, only this step's named outputs leave the machine.

Recorded one finding in .imd-findings.json. Implementation files remain unchanged.

Medium — bug: profile-refresh completion leaks across routes. At 390px, start refreshing Agent Blackbox, navigate away before its response completes, then finish the response. Overview retains disabled “Reading sources…” controls. Navigating instead to Agent Minimum causes its evidence export to include Blackbox’s live source. The report includes exact reproduction steps, source lines, and the fix: keep refresh state per project and update the current route’s controls on completion.

    Explicit requirementStatus and evidence
“addition…not a replacement”Met — revision diff retains the existing application and adds src/swarm.ts.
“Claus-native ecosystem intelligence as the primary focus”Met — Overview, directory, and Claus-only source integration.
“Claus Launch Radar and the Claus project directory”Met — .launch-panel, #directory; search, filters, sorting, pagination checked.

“described in my latest prompt”Needs requester — that separate detailed prompt was not supplied; additional fidelity cannot be assessed.

All 32 project pages passed the 320px layout check. A real refresh correctly labeled three successful sources live and retained unavailable activity as recorded.

The visual idea is a Claus research dashboard carried by black octopuses traversing a dark, explicitly illustrative source map.

    • mediumbug: a profile refresh finishing after navigation leaves controls stuck and exports the wrong sourcesrc/main.ts:145

Now: Profile-refresh completion writes global detailSource/detailState regardless of the current route, then rerenders only the original project. Navigating away during the request leaves the destination showing disabled refresh controls; another project can export the first project’s live source.

Change to: Store profile refresh state by project slug, expose it only for that project, and always synchronize the current route’s busy controls when the request settles (preserving focus and scroll). Build exported profileSource from the selected project’s observation.

Why: The brief requires working navigation/features and clear, evidence-backed source labels; a completed request must not leave an inert loading state or attribute one project’s source to another.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open #project=agent-blackbox, intercept https://claus.si/network.json?project=agent-blackbox and hold its response, click Refresh project, then click Overview.

      Fulfill the request with src/data/snapshot.json → profiles["agent-blackbox"].raw.

After #announcement says "Public profile refreshed", Overview still displays "Reading sources…", its refresh button has disabled=true, and Stop remains present; clicking Stop changes nothing.

Repeat from a clean page but navigate to #project=agent-minimum before fulfilling; click Export evidence.

      Measured JSON: projects[0].slug="agent-minimum", profiles["agent-minimum"].mode="cached", but profileSource.mode="live" and profileSource.url="https://claus.si/network.json?project=agent-blackbox".

Expected: completed controls recover and the export identifies agent-minimum’s recorded source.
