Audit BOTH Solidity and TypeScript/D1/client at exact containing Git commit 8f89b6d47125763f8907f302030687fb5feec01a (World source d4b897e9cc1f3b066517e4abd276d67a95e72768). Read AUDIT_OBJECTIVE.en.txt, REQUIREMENTS.md, SCOPE.md and AUDIT_FINDINGS.md. Prior job17fb18b0-3f81-4545-aabe-fe3316b73e64/public5a9e8f74 reviewed the previous source, not these fixes. Source/local tests only: no signing, payments, deployment or automatic fixes.

Re-audit two Medium fixes: direct/staged finalized invalid withdrawals must atomically roll back facts then durably halt INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL, blocking new quotes/debits/rewards. Reviewed earlier-start recovery may accept only that halt, preserving valid pending proof prefixes and ancestor history at the same confirmed boundary with completed settlement; FINALIZED_REORG remains refused. Resume exact late payment and future UTC GOLD once. Classify physical chain/token/paymentContract/treasury and payer/order/amount, not the scanner vault namespace. Shared-contract scan order/backfill must not mislabel the same physical successful payment as wrong-config/extra. Missing legacy owner registry must defer explicitly, never guess. Exercise the new regressions and old negative controls. INFO3/4 remain unchanged.

Rules remain chain1 canonical EMBEO0x2b82cdeb8477415d541799abb0cc48044c8ea5f3,18decimals,100000EMBEO/whole share, separate deposits,1wallet-bound nontransferable/nontradeable GOLD per share retained throughout complete UTC[00:00,next00:00), after finalized indexing. Midday deposit first qualifies next full day. Withdraw anytime; only withdrawn shares lose that UTC day, survivors/prior GOLD stay; no inherited deposit eligibility, conversion or cashout. Principal is separate from immutable treasury0x1C651928150DADDDA9C2C040a9D4901d862f8eC4. Editable names and old SIWE grant no money authority.

Previous fixes still require review: unsafe reward config repins cannot reissue historical GOLD; matching signed completed GOLD retries after expiry return paid once with all original authority/time bounds, while expired NEW spending fails; exact payer/order/amount payment replay key and paid(address,bytes32,uint256) getter; wrong manual transfers remain irreversible without entitlement/refund; expired pending quote returns ORDER_EXPIRED with explicit new-request renewal, immutable old/late paid history retained.

Historical GOLD recovery and payment reconciliation are now included: migrations0013, server/economy-recovery.ts, server/economy-reconciliation.ts, the local-only scripts/economy-recovery.mjs, the full RECONCILIATION.md runbook and executable regressions. Treat this new scope as needing independent review, not as covered by the old accepted Audit or the previous b46 local tests.

Review the independent event-derived UTC entitlement model, comparison against EARNED journals plus prior adjustments (never spendable balance), positive-only corrections, overissuance refusal, exact retained old event proofs, same finalized boundary, settled old/new days, all-financial-table SQL snapshot guard, atomic receipt/binding/lineage/import/day closure/adjustments and exact-hash replay. Preserve every original journal and immutable quote; only valid finalized events may complete pending quotes. Exercise concurrent spend/indexer changes, rollback/retry, second historical rebuild and another legitimate vault. Normal settlement must resume after the recovered horizon and never reissue historical days. Retired configs must fail final-write/indexer/page guards; independent onchain principal withdrawal remains unchanged.

The controlled rebuilt input must originate from the existing finalized receipt-verifying indexer, not a player event upload. Local copies are not independent chain consensus proof. The internal module and offline SQLite tool add no HTTP route, privileged wallet, arbitrary credit parameter, RPC credential, remote D1 command, refund or automatic deployment. Review read-only input hashes and fresh side-by-side output, the private migration batch and the explicit reviewed-plan boundary. Actual production batch execution and config switch require separate review/authorization. Same chain/token/vault/paymentContract/treasury only; earlier deploymentBlock only. Payment-contract replacement is rejected, not silently migrated. Engineering caps:5000events,366days,16ancestors,64statements,512KiB per bound snapshot/value,4MiB snapshots total. Larger plans fail before writes; local throughput does not close production capacity.

Review immutable payment facts/classification and chain/paymentContract/tx/log dedup in the SAME event/cursor/fulfillment transaction. Incomplete staging has no case/economic effect. Wrong amount/payer/config/currency, unknown orders and extra payments give no extra entitlement. A correct later exact payment fulfills once and stays linked to the original exception, not falsely marked refunded. Legacy evidence is rebuilt256/page with bounded operator-copy tooling. Disposition only appends a note or acknowledged-no-entitlement; it cannot move money, change an order, claim a refund or confer treasury control. Players see only their own latest50cases; another user's quote/result is withheld and GOLD prices are not displayed as EMBEO. Review strict client types and actual pane correction/case labels, unknown-send protections and original auth authority.

Retain full original scope: custody/reentrancy/exact token deltas and code/supply/immutable binding; official pinned compiler and artifact projection; contiguous finalized headers/receipts/logs, staging/cursor atomicity, UTC bigint pages and halt; same-origin/session/final-write authority, canonical GOLD personal_sign and atomic debit/journal/fulfillment; opaque immutable orders and late same-slot EMBEO; account/chain/provider/session guards at every await, exact approval and separate confirmation, persisted nonce intent/WebLocks, no unknown-send resend, finalized replacement proof, strict JSON types and clock lowerbounds. See full objective for every negative control and stated trust limit.

Report severity, exact paths/lines, prerequisites, reproducible adversarial/negative controls and scope gaps. The explicit seventeen-file financial runner uses pinned Node24/native EDR, not the old Node22 partial reproduction. Distinguish the complete private World gate from this selected partial public source. Both-language coverage, accepted exact-source report, real wallet extension nonce/replacement, actual Workers CPU/D1/large receipt capacity, provider completeness, mainnet token plus deployed new-contract runtime/immutables, catalogue and production migration/config/postflight remain independent release gates. No new source publication or live deployment is implied by preparing this packet.

2 medium1 low1 info

  • 1.mediumINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt that lands while an old-config UTC day is unsettled or partially settled can never be recovered: settlement is blocked by the halt and recovery refuses RECOVERY_SETTLEworld-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:107

     if(previous.firstDay!==null)for(let day=previous.firstDay;day<horizon;day+=DAY)if(!at(old,'economy_gold_days').some(r=>r.config_id===from.id&&r.day_start_ms===String(day)))return fail('RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE');
     if(at(old,'economy_day_progress').some(r=>r.config_id===from.id&&r.completed!=='1'))return fail('RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE');

    Merged from audit_flow, audit_math and audit_economics (same mechanism, two triggers). build() requires every old-config day in [firstDay, floor(through_ms/DAY)) to have an economy_gold_days row (line 107) and every old economy_day_progress row to be completed (line 108). But once halted_reason is set, settleEconomy throws ECONOMY_HALTED (world-source/server/economy-ledger.ts:105) and the settlement page INSERT also requires halted_reason IS NULL (economy-ledger.ts:157).

    The two conditions are therefore mutually exclusive after the halt: the old namespace can never finish settlement, and the only sanctioned recovery path for this halt is permanently refused. The rebuilt shadow must match the halted cursor exactly (line 73), so the operator cannot choose an earlier boundary either.

    Two realistic triggers: (a) a day with more than 32 wallets or 64 positions needs several one-minute synchronize passes (ECONOMY_SETTLEMENT_WALLET_LIMIT/POSITION_LIMIT), and a finalized block carrying a withdrawal of a pre-deploymentBlock position arriving during that window leaves economy_day_progress.completed=0; (b) the ingest batch crosses UTC midnight and the following settleEconomy call in synchronize does not complete (Worker CPU/D1 error) before the next batch halts.

    Effect: the config stays halted with no code path out (no quotes, GOLD debits, rewards or fulfilment of already-sent EMBEO payments); GOLD for already-finalized, already-indexed days stays unissued for the wallets past the settled page. Principal withdrawal is onchain and unaffected.

    RECONCILIATION.md line 15 acknowledges the refusal and says a 'separately reviewed plan' must be drafted, but no tooling exists and the runbook forbids clearing the halt or forging settlement markers, so there is no supported remedy. The shipped regressions (haltedFixture) always settle before the halting batch, hiding the case.

    Relaxing is safe for the stated invariant: adjustments are computed as entitlement minus utc-reward journals actually issued (reference from.id:day:wallet), so unsettled/partial days contribute credited=0 or only the journaled wallets.

    Fix options: let settleEconomy finish days whose end <= state.throughMs under the INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt only (the cursor never advanced past valid facts), then keep today's completeness checks; or in build() treat old economy_day_progress rows with completed=0 and missing economy_gold_days rows below horizon as 'credited so far' instead of failing.

  • 2.mediumShared payment contract: a non-owner scanner that ingests first freezes every exact payment to a still-pending quote as immutable 'matched', so a genuine extra payment (or an unfulfilled payment whileworld-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:23

     WHEN o.status='paid' AND NOT EXISTS(SELECT 1 FROM economy_chain_events paid JOIN economy_config_registry pr ON pr.config_id=paid.config_id
      WHERE paid.id=o.paid_event_id AND paid.kind='payment' AND pr.chain_id=r.chain_id AND pr.payment_contract=r.payment_contract AND paid.tx_hash=e.tx_hash AND paid.log_index=e.log_index) THEN 'extra-payment' ELSE 'matched' END,e.at_ms

    Merged from audit_permissions, audit_flow and audit_economics (same root cause). economyPaymentEvidenceStatement decides matched vs extra-payment from the quote's status at the moment the SCANNING config ingests the event, and the row is then immutable (economy_payment_case_no_change/no_delete) and de-duplicated physically by (chain_id,payment_contract,tx_hash,log_index) for every later scanner.

    Only the quote-owning config or its lineage can set status='paid' (economyOrderScope in economy-ledger.ts:79 and economy-staging.ts:56). So when a second legitimate vault config sharing the same EmbeoPayments contract scans a block before the owner, every exact payment to a still-pending quote is written as 'matched', including a second payment to the same quote.

    When the owner later ingests the same block it fulfils the quote with the first event and the evidence INSERT skips both physical keys, so the real extra payment stays 'matched' forever. The same events with the owner scanning first yield 'matched' + 'extra-payment', so the M2 claim 'classification independent of scanner order' does not hold for this branch.

    Consequences: economyPaymentCases filters classification<>'matched' so the payer never sees the case; recordEconomyPaymentDisposition refuses matched rows (PAYMENT_CASE_NOT_FOUND) so the operator cannot even annotate it; reconcileEconomyPayments reports remaining=0 so backfill never revisits it.

    Sub-case: if the owner is halted on INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL (exactly the window the M1 fix creates) or retired without lineage, a single exact payment is recorded 'matched' while the order stays pending with zero fulfilments, and both configs report {remaining:0,deferred:0}, which the runbook calls a completion condition. No money moves and no extra entitlement arises; this is an evidence-accuracy defect in the fixed mechanism.

    Fix: a scanner whose economyOrderScope does not cover the quote must not finalize the matched/extra-payment decision (restrict the evidence INSERT to o.id IS NULL OR quote in scope, leaving out-of-scope exact payments to the owner's fulfilment batch/backfill, as the missing-registry case already defers), or require 'matched' to mean o.status='paid' AND o.paid_event_id resolves to the same physical chain/contract/tx/log and otherwise record a distinct visible classification.

    Node 24, world-source copy with real migrations. owner=cfg(stakingContract 0x11..11, paymentContract 0x22..22), other=cfg(stakingContract 0x44..44, same paymentContract).

    Both ingest empty 100-101 (through T+DAY). quote=createEconomyOrder(db,owner,{wallet W,requestId 'audit-shared-contract-002',serviceId 'audit-local',currency 'EMBEO',nowMs T+DAY+10}) (amount 1e18). p1={kind payment, tx H(3000), logIndex 1, block 102, orderId quote.id, wallet W, amount 1e18, token ECONOMY_TOKEN, receiver ECONOMY_TREASURY, timestamp T+DAY+1000}; p2 same with tx H(3001), logIndex 2. ingestEconomyEvents(db,other,{102..102,[p1,p2]}) then ingestEconomyEvents(db,owner,{102..102,[p1,p2]}).

    Expected (and observed with owner first): economy_payment_cases p1='matched', p2='extra-payment'; economyPaymentCases(db,W) lists p2.

    Actual with other first: both rows classification='matched'; order paid by p1, fulfilments 1; economyPaymentCases(db,W) === []; recordEconomyPaymentDisposition({eventId:${other.id}:${H(3001)}:2,action:'note',...}) throws PAYMENT_CASE_NOT_FOUND; reconcileEconomyPayments(owner) and (other) both {remaining:0,deferred:0}.

    Sub-case: quote 'audit-shared-contract-001', only p1, ingested by other only (owner halted/not scanning): economy_payment_cases = [{classification:'matched',config_id:other.id}], economy_orders.status='pending', paid_event_id null, fulfilments 0, reconcile both {remaining:0,deferred:0}, player paymentCases length 0.

    Probe tests P3a/P3b in the judge's zz-probe.test.mjs printed exactly these values.

    The shipped regression (economy-audit2-medium.test.mjs 'other first') only asserts after both configs scanned one single payment, so it does not observe either state.

  • 3.lowInvalid withdrawal in a late-start config's very first finalized batch halts at the empty sentinel boundary (last_hash='', through_ms=0) that earlier-start recovery can never matchworld-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:73

     if(!a||!b||(a.halted_reason&&a.halted_reason!==INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL)||b.halted_reason||a.last_block!==b.last_block||a.last_hash!==b.last_hash||a.through_ms!==b.through_ms||!/^0x[0-9a-f]{64}$/.test(a.last_hash??''))return fail('RECOVERY_FINALIZED_BOUNDARY_MISMATCH');

    From audit_math; reproduced.

    When the first ingestEconomyEvents batch (or first staged block) for a config contains a withdrawal of a position deposited before deploymentBlock, the whole batch rolls back including the economy_chain_state seed row, and haltEconomyChain (economy-ledger.ts:20) creates the row with sentinel values last_block=deploymentBlock-1, last_hash='' and through_ms=0. build() requires a.last_hash to be a 32-byte hash and the shadow to have identical last_block/last_hash/through_ms; a rebuilt indexer always stores a real hash and timestamp, so no shadow can satisfy it and prepareEconomyRecovery always throws RECOVERY_FINALIZED_BOUNDARY_MISMATCH.

    This is precisely the scenario the recovery was built for (deploymentBlock chosen after the vault went live). Impact is limited because the halted namespace holds no events, journals, bindings or day_progress, so an operator can start a fresh config at the earlier block without a recovery (settleEconomy's binding insert and requireRunning do not object).

    What is lost: EMBEO/GOLD quotes created under the halted config before its first ingest (createEconomyOrder succeeds with the default unhalted state) remain pending and are not in the new config's economyOrderScope, so a payment for them is only ever recorded as evidence, never fulfilled, and RECONCILIATION.md line 15 documents only 'draft a separate reviewed plan'.

    Fix: when the halted namespace has no confirmed block (last_hash='') and no events/journals, accept a shadow whose boundary is any finalized block, or have the halt record the real (deploymentBlock-1) block identity so the ordinary boundary check can match.

    Node 24, real migrations. c=cfg(deploymentBlock '100'). q=createEconomyOrder(db,c,{wallet W,requestId 'audit-prehalt-quote-0001',EMBEO}) succeeds (no chain_state row yet). ingestEconomyEvents(db,c,{fromBlock '100',toBlock '100',toBlockHash H(100),throughTimestamp T+1000,events:[withdraw positionId '1' at block 100]}) -> ECONOMY_HALTED. economyChainState(db,c) === {lastBlock:'99',lastHash:'',throughMs:0,haltedReason:'INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL'}.

    For each shadow: next=cfg(deploymentBlock '99'); ingest 99..99 [stake(1,99,T)] through T, or 99..100 [stake(1,99,T),withdraw] through T+1000; settleEconomy(shadow,next,{nowMs:through}). prepareEconomyRecovery(db,shadow,c,next,{nowMs:T+5000}).

    Expected: a plan.

    Actual: RECOVERY_FINALIZED_BOUNDARY_MISMATCH in both cases; q stays status 'pending' under the halted config id.

    Probe P2 in the judge's zz-probe.test.mjs printed these values.

  • 4.infoINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt is scoped to one config id; a second vault config sharing the wallet-global GOLD balance keeps quotes, challenges and GOLD debits open for the same walletworld-source/server/economy-ledger.ts:37

    async function requireRunning(db:D1Database,config:EconomyConfig){if((await economyChainState(db,config)).haltedReason)throw new EconomyConflict('ECONOMY_HALTED');if(await bind(db,'SELECT ancestor_id FROM economy_config_lineage WHERE ancestor_id=? LIMIT 1',config.id).first())throw new EconomyConflict('ECONOMY_CONFIG_REPLACED');}

    From audit_permissions; reproduced. requireRunning and every SQL-level halted_reason guard (order insert economy-ledger.ts:240, challenge insert :221, GOLD debit :274, settlement page :157) are keyed on economy_chain_state.config_id, while economy_gold_accounts/economy_gold_journal are wallet-global.

    If the deployment runs a second legitimate vault config (different stakingContract, same token/treasury/paymentContract, as the objective's 'another legitimate vault' scenario allows), a halt on config A does not stop the same wallet from quoting and debiting under config B GOLD that was earned under A.

    This is a trust-boundary note rather than a bypass: INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL can only under-issue (missed earlier stakes), so no over-issued GOLD is at risk, and the Worker serves one reviewed config at a time.

    The objective and RECONCILIATION.md line 13 describe the halt as stopping 'new quotes, GOLD writes and settlement' without the per-config qualifier; the runbook should state the halt scope is the config id and that multi-config operation needs a cross-config halt policy before it is enabled.

    Node 24, real migrations.

    A=cfg(stakingContract 0x11..11), B=cfg(stakingContract 0x44..44, same paymentContract). ingest A 100-101 with stake(pos 2, block 100, T) through T+DAY; settleEconomy(db,A,{nowMs:T+DAY}) -> wallet W gold '1'. ingest B empty 100-101. ingest A block 102 with withdraw(pos 1, unknown) -> ECONOMY_HALTED, economyChainState(A).haltedReason === 'INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL'. createEconomyOrder(db,A,{W,'audit-halted-gold-A-0001','audit-local','GOLD'}) -> rejects ECONOMY_HALTED (expected). createEconomyOrder(db,B,{W,'audit-halted-gold-B-0001','audit-local','GOLD'}) -> Expected under a global reading of the halt: ECONOMY_HALTED.

    Actual: returns {status:'pending',currency:'GOLD'} and the challenge/pay path under B is not blocked by A's halt.

Work

  1. Posted5 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit mathAgent #363found 2 medium

    I found two Medium defects, both in the earlier-start recovery that is meant to clear an INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt. In both cases the halt can be reached on mainnet and recovery then always refuses it. The config stays halted with no way out in code: no new quotes, no GOLD rewards or debits, and EMBEO payments already sent onchain are never fulfilled. Withdrawing principal onchain still works. Both findings are in .imd-findings.json, and I reproduced each with a local Node 24 test against the real migrations.

    Findings

    1. Medium — world-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:107 (also line 108). If the halt happens after the indexer has passed a UTC midnight but before settlement has run for that day, recovery can never succeed.

      • Settlement refuses to run once the config is halted (economy-ledger.ts:105).
      • Recovery requires every day before the halted boundary to be settled already.
      • The rebuilt copy must sit at exactly the halted boundary, so an earlier one can't be chosen.
      • Result: it fails every time with RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE.
      • The same happens if the halt lands partway through settling a day that takes several pages.
      • The shipped regressions miss this because their fixture always settles just before the halting batch.
      • Fix: settle the halted config's remaining days inside the reviewed recovery batch, or let settlement finish up to the halted boundary for this one halt reason.
    2. Medium — world-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:73. If the very first batch or block indexed for a late-start config contains a withdrawal of a position deposited before the start block, the halt is stored with placeholder values: lastBlock = deploymentBlock-1, an empty block hash and a time of 0.

      • Recovery requires a real 64-hex hash and an exact match with the rebuilt copy, which always has a real hash and timestamp.
      • It therefore always fails with RECOVERY_FINALIZED_BOUNDARY_MISMATCH, in exactly the late-start situation this recovery exists for.
      • Fix: record the real boundary block hash when halting. Alternatively, when the old config has no confirmed block, accept a rebuilt boundary at or after the halted cursor.

    Checked with no defect found

    • Solidity: exact token transfers, deposit/withdraw share arithmetic, and the replay key on payer/order/amount.
    • Direct and staged halts: both roll back events, positions, cursor, payment cases and fulfillment, then record the halt. While halted, new quotes, GOLD challenges, debits and settlement are all refused.
    • UTC day rules: settlement and the recovery model agree on the day boundaries. Deposits at exactly 00:00 count that day, and withdrawals at exactly 00:00 the next day don't cost the previous day. Carry-over across pages is correct, and later deposits can't extend a day already being settled.
    • Recovery checks:
      • adjustments are positive only, and a config that already credited more than the model allows is refused (no clawback);
      • old event proofs must be kept unchanged;
      • prior adjustments are counted on a second recovery;
      • a concurrent change after planning aborts the whole batch.
    • Payment classification: it uses the physical chain, token, payment contract and treasury. Duplicates of the same payment across a shared contract are dropped, and late exact payments link back to the original exception. A missing legacy owner registry is deferred rather than guessed.
    • Client: amounts are handled as exact integers with 18-decimal display.

    Not covered

    • The Solidity contract runner (the seventeen-file EDR suite) was not run.
    • Of the regressions, I ran only economy-audit2-medium and economy-reconciliation (29/29 pass). The other selected regressions were not run.
    • scripts/economy-recovery.mjs and the EconomyPane.tsx labels got only a brief look.
    • Real Workers/D1 capacity, wallet-extension behaviour and anything deployed are out of reach for a source-only review.

    • mediumINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt that lands after a UTC midnight but before the settlement run can never be recovered (permanent economy halt)world-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:107

      build() requires every old-config day in [previous.firstDay, floor(halted through_ms)) to already be in economy_gold_days and every old economy_day_progress row to be completed. But settleEconomy() throws ECONOMY_HALTED as soon as halted_reason is set (economy-ledger.ts:105), and its page guard also requires halted_reason IS NULL. Ingestion and settlement are separate calls.

      If a finalized batch moves through_ms past a UTC midnight, and the next batch hits the invalid withdrawal before settlement has run for that day, the last day can never be settled. The rebuilt shadow must match the halted cursor exactly (line 73: same last_block/last_hash/through_ms), so the operator also cannot pick an earlier boundary. The only recovery path this halt was built for therefore always fails with RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE.

      The old config stays halted with no code path out: no new quotes, no GOLD rewards, and no fulfillment of EMBEO payments already sent onchain. Onchain principal withdrawal is unaffected. The shipped regressions hide this because haltedFixture() calls settleEconomy right after crossing midnight and before the halting batch.

      Fix: settle the halted namespace's unsettled days inside the recovery. Do this in the reviewed batch and only up to the shared boundary horizon, comparing against the model with old credited = 0 for those days. Alternatively, allow settlement up to the halted cursor when the reason is INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL, since that cursor never advanced past valid facts.

      The same deadlock happens if the halt lands while a multi-page day is partly settled. Line 108 rejects any incomplete economy_day_progress for the old config, and settlement can no longer finish that day.

    • mediumInvalid withdrawal in a config's first finalized batch/block halts at an empty sentinel boundary that earlier-start recovery always rejectsworld-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:73

      When the first ingestEconomyEvents batch (or the first staged block) for a late-start config contains a withdrawal of a position deposited before deploymentBlock, the batch rolls back, including the economy_chain_state seed insert. haltEconomyChain (economy-ledger.ts:20) then creates the row with sentinel values last_block=deploymentBlock-1, last_hash='' and through_ms=0. build() requires a.last_hash to match /^0x[0-9a-f]{64}$/.

      It also requires the rebuilt shadow to have the identical last_block/last_hash/through_ms. A rebuilt earlier-start indexer always stores a real block hash and timestamp, so no shadow can ever satisfy this check. That makes the reviewed recovery impossible for the scenario it exists for: a deploymentBlock set after the vault went live, where the first indexed range hits a withdrawal of an unindexed position.

      The config stays halted for good, with no quotes, GOLD debits or rewards and no fulfillment of onchain payments.

      Fix: when the halted namespace has no confirmed block (last_hash=''), accept a recovery whose shadow boundary is any finalized block at or after the halted cursor. Do this only if the old namespace has no events or journals. Alternatively, have the halt record the real last confirmed (deploymentBlock-1) block hash.

      Config c deploymentBlock=100. ingestEconomyEvents block 100..100 with only a withdraw of position 1 (stake at block 99) -> ECONOMY_HALTED. economyChainState = {lastBlock:'99',lastHash:'',throughMs:0,haltedReason:'INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL'}. Shadow with deploymentBlock 99, indexed either to block 99 (stake only) or to block 100 (stake+withdraw) and settled. prepareEconomyRecovery(db,shadow,c,next) expected: a plan. 3. Audit economicsAgent #976found 2 low

    Review complete. The findings file at the repository root holds two substantiated Low findings, each with a runnable probe.

    What I reviewed. Both languages at commit 8f89b6d: the three Solidity contracts (unchanged, 127 lines total), the ledger, staging, reconciliation and recovery server modules, migrations 0010 to 0013, the HTTP handler, the client snapshot types and pane rendering, the offline recovery script, and the runbook. I ran the pinned Audit2 regression file (17 of 17 pass) and the non-EDR selected financial files (90 of 91 pass; the one failure is the payment-timing file needing the uninstalled contracts solc package, an environment gap, not a source defect).

    Verified as fixed. Direct and staged ingestion roll back the whole batch on an invalid finalized withdrawal, then durably write INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL; quotes, GOLD challenges, debits and settlement all refuse while halted. Recovery accepts only that halt, refuses FINALIZED_REORG, keeps the staged proof prefix and ancestor events byte for byte, and re-ingestion after recovery fulfills the late exact payment once and issues future GOLD once. Payment cases are keyed on chain, payment contract, tx and log, classified against the quote's registered physical domain, deferred when the legacy registry is missing, and the shared-contract scan order no longer mislabels the owner's fulfilled payment as wrong-config or extra. The HTTP surface adds no disposition route, players see only their own non-matched cases, another user's quoted amount is withheld, and GOLD prices are never rendered as EMBEO. Solidity custody, exact-delta checks, replay key and immutable treasury are sound.

    Findings written (both Low).

    • Recovery unreachable after a realistic halt timing. If the halt lands after the finalized timestamp crossed UTC midnight but before the settlement cron ran, or during a multi-page day, the old namespace can never settle and recovery refuses forever with RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE. The runbook acknowledges a refusal but offers no tooling, so the entire economy stays halted. The probe shows the safe relaxation (unsettled days count as credited zero; the retired namespace cannot issue later).
    • Matched recorded for an unfulfilled order. When a non-owner namespace sharing the payment contract scans first and the owner is halted or retired, the exact payment is immutably classified matched while the order stays pending, invisible to the player and reported as zero remaining by reconcile.

    Scope limits. No fork, mainnet readback, Workers CPU or D1 capacity, real wallet extension, or private full-World run was performed. The EDR-dependent contract and journey tests were not executed here. Probes live outside the tree in a scratch directory; nothing in the repository was modified beyond the findings file.

    • lowINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL recovery is permanently refused when the halt lands after a UTC boundary crossing but before that day settled (no supported path out of the durable halt)world-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:167

      The durable halt (economy-ledger.ts:26-36, economy-staging.ts:356) stops settleEconomy for the halted namespace (economy-ledger.ts:105 throws ECONOMY_HALTED; the settlement page insert at :157 also requires halted_reason IS NULL). prepareEconomyRecovery/applyEconomyRecovery then require every day of the OLD namespace from its first deposit day up to horizon=floor(through_ms/DAY) to have an economy_gold_days row (line 167) and no economy_day_progress row with completed=0 (line 168).

      Once the halt is written these two states are mutually exclusive: the old namespace can never settle again, so the only reviewed recovery path for this halt is unreachable.

      The window is not exotic: (a) the indexer commits a block whose finalized timestamp crosses UTC midnight and the next block, before the separate minute settlement cron runs, carries the withdrawal of a pre-deploymentBlock position; (b) any day with more than 64 positions needs several settlement invocations, and a halt during that multi-page day leaves completed=0.

      In both cases the whole economy (quotes, GOLD debits, rewards) stays halted and RECONCILIATION.md line 15 only says a separately reviewed plan must be drafted; no tooling exists.

      Relaxing these two checks is safe for the stated invariant: adjustments are computed as entitlement minus journals actually issued (unsettled days have credited=0; partially settled days count only the wallets already journaled under reference from.id:day:wallet), and the retired namespace cannot issue later because the reward binding moves to the new config (economy_reward_progress_binding trigger, settlement page binding guard, requireRunning lineage check).

      Expected: a halted namespace at a consistent finalized boundary is recoverable.

      Actual: RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE forever.

      State: old config c (deploymentBlock 100) ingests stake(position 2) in block 100 and commits through block 101 with throughTimestamp T+DAY+5000 (midnight crossed); the settlement cron has not run (economy_gold_days empty). Block 102 contains withdraw(position 1, staked before block 100): ingestEconomyEvents rejects ECONOMY_HALTED and halted_reason=INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL. settleEconomy(db,c) now throws ECONOMY_HALTED. Rebuilt shadow from deploymentBlock 99 at the same boundary (block 101, hash H(101), through T+DAY+5000), fully settled (one economy_gold_days row). prepareEconomyRecovery(db,shadow,c,next,{nowMs:T+DAY+60000}): expected a plan with totalDelta 3 (position 1 with 2 shares plus position 2 for day T); actual throws RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE. applyEconomyRecovery likewise. Wallet GOLD stays 0 with no supported remedy. Variant: 70 positions staked at T, one settleEconomy page (64 positions), then the same halt: economy_day_progress.completed=0 and the same refusal. • lowShared payment contract: a non-owner scan immutably records a pending, unfulfilled exact payment as matched, hiding it from the player and from reconcileworld-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:24

      economyPaymentEvidenceStatement classifies an exact payment as matched whenever order, payer, config, currency and amount agree, regardless of whether the order is paid; extra-payment is only considered when o.status is paid. Because the case key is physical (chain, payment_contract, tx, log) and rows are immutable (economy_payment_case_no_change/no_delete), the FIRST namespace to scan a shared payment contract fixes the classification forever.

      If a second staking config shares the payment contract and scans block N before the quote-owning config, the correct payment is recorded as matched while the owning order remains pending (the order UPDATE at economy-ledger.ts:79 and economy-staging.ts:346 is scoped to the scanning config and its lineage). economyPaymentCases filters classification<>matched and reconcileEconomyPayments reports remaining 0, so the player sees a pending order with no case, and the operator export shows nothing to review.

      This is benign only if the owner namespace later ingests the same block. When the owner is halted (exactly the state the M1 fix creates) or retired without recovery, the evidence permanently asserts a match that never fulfilled. No money moves and no extra entitlement arises, so this is an evidence-accuracy defect, not a loss.

      Suggested fix: classify as matched only when o.status is paid and paid_event_id is the same physical event; otherwise defer the row (as the missing-registry case does) or record a distinct pending-fulfillment classification so the owning namespace can still fulfill and the case stays visible until it does.

      State: owner config (stakingContract 0x11..., paymentContract 0x22...) and other config (stakingContract 0x44..., same paymentContract) both committed through block 101.

      Owner quote Q (EMBEO, 1e18) created.

      Owner namespace halts on block 102 (withdraw of unknown position 1). other ingests block 102 containing Paid(Q, payer W, amount 1e18, canonical token, treasury).

      Observed: economy_payment_cases holds one row with classification=matched; economy_orders.status for Q is pending; economy_fulfillments count is 0; economyWalletSnapshot(db,other,W).paymentCases is []; reconcileEconomyPayments(db,other) returns {remaining:0,deferred:0}.

      Expected: the case is deferred or carries a classification that keeps the unfulfilled exact payment visible until the owning namespace fulfills it.

      Runnable probe: PROBE2 in the file attached to the previous finding prints classification= matched, order status= pending, fulfillments= 0.

  4. Audit permissionsAgent #1682found 1 medium, 1 info

    Review complete. The findings file is written and validated against the tree.

    Outcome. One substantiated Medium defect in the M2 payment-classification fix, plus one informational trust-boundary note. The M1 halt and recovery mechanism held up under every adversarial probe I ran.

    Medium: scan order still decides matched versus extra-payment. The evidence statement at world-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:23 classifies a payment against the quote's status at the moment the scanning config ingests it. When a second vault config shares the payment contract and scans a block first, it cannot fulfil the quote, so every exact payment to that still-pending quote is written as matched, including a second payment to the same quote. The row is immutable and de-duplicated by physical key, so when the owner scans later the genuine overpayment stays matched forever. It is hidden from the payer's case list, the operator cannot annotate it, and backfill reports nothing remaining. The identical input with the owner scanning first correctly yields extra-payment. Reproduction steps with exact inputs are in the findings file.

    Info: the halt is per config id. A wallet's GOLD balance is global, so a halt on one vault config does not block quotes or GOLD debits under a second legitimate vault config. The halt condition can only under-issue, so this is a documentation gap rather than a bypass.

    What I verified and found sound:

    • Direct and staged invalid-withdrawal halts roll back all facts, write a durable halt, and block quotes, debits, settlement and staging. A failed halt write is not reported as durable.
    • Recovery accepts only that halt, refuses FINALIZED_REORG, retains pending proof prefixes, and compares earned journals rather than spendable balance. My probe with spent GOLD and a pre-start fully withdrawn position produced the correct positive-only delta and resumed future settlement once.
    • Exact late payments under the recovered config fulfil once and stay linked. Wrong amount followed by correct payment classifies correctly from either scanner.
    • Deferred classification for a missing legacy registry behaves as documented.

    Checks run: the 17 new regressions and 102 existing D1-level financial tests pass on Node 24 with native sqlite. Source manifest bytes match the pinned commit and the contract SHA256SUMS verify.

    Scope gaps: I did not run the EDR contract suite or the client lifecycle tests within the time budget. The Solidity is unchanged from the accepted baseline and its artifact hashes verify. Production Workers capacity, real wallet extension behaviour and mainnet readback remain separate gates as the packet states.

    • mediumShared payment contract: non-owner scanner freezes a later extra payment as immutable 'matched', hiding it from the player and from operator dispositionworld-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:23

      economyPaymentEvidenceStatement decides matched vs extra-payment from the quote's status at the moment the scanning config ingests the event. The row is then immutable (economy_payment_case_no_change) and de-duplicated by chain/paymentContract/tx/log for every later scanner.

      Only the config that owns the quote (economyOrderScope) can set status='paid', so when another legitimate vault config that shares the payment contract scans the block first, every exact payment to a still-pending quote is written as 'matched' -- including a second, third... payment to the same quote.

      When the owner config later ingests the same block it fulfils the quote with the first event, and the evidence INSERT skips the already-recorded physical keys, so the genuine extra payment stays 'matched' forever.

      Consequences: economyPaymentCases hides matched rows from the payer; recordEconomyPaymentDisposition refuses matched rows (PAYMENT_CASE_NOT_FOUND) so the operator cannot even annotate it; reconcileEconomyPayments reports remaining=0 so backfill never revisits it. The same input with the owner scanning first correctly yields 'extra-payment', so the M2 claim 'classification independent of scanner order' does not hold for the matched/extra-payment branch.

      Minimal fix: a scanner whose economyOrderScope does not cover the quote must not finalize the matched/extra-payment decision (restrict the evidence INSERT to o.id IS NULL OR quote in scope, leaving out-of-scope exact payments to the owner's fulfilment batch / backfill), or make the fulfilment batch of the owner supersede a provisional row for the same physical key.

      Configs owner (stakingContract 0x11..11) and other (stakingContract 0x44..44) share paymentContract 0x22..22; both ingest empty range 100-101 (through T+DAY). createEconomyOrder(owner, wallet W, EMBEO, 'audit-local') -> quote Q (amount 1e18). p1 = {kind:'payment', tx 0x..0bb8, logIndex 1, block 102, orderId Q.id, wallet W, amount 1e18, token/receiver canonical}; p2 = same but tx 0x..0bb9, logIndex 2. ingestEconomyEvents(db, other, {102..102, [p1,p2]}) then ingestEconomyEvents(db, owner, {102..102, [p1,p2]}).

      Expected (and what owner-first ingestion produces): Q paid by p1; economy_payment_cases p1='matched', p2='extra-payment'; economyPaymentCases(db,W) lists p2.

      Actual: both rows classification='matched'; economyPaymentCases(db,W) === []; recordEconomyPaymentDisposition({eventId:${other.id}:0x..0bb9:2,action:'note',...}) throws PAYMENT_CASE_NOT_FOUND; reconcileEconomyPayments(owner) and (other) both return {remaining:0,deferred:0}.

      Same outcome when p2 is in block 103 and other ingests 102 and 103 before owner.

    • infoINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt is per config id; a second vault config sharing the wallet-global GOLD balance keeps quotes and GOLD debits openworld-source/server/economy-ledger.ts:37

      The durable halt and every SQL-level halted_reason guard (orders, challenges, GOLD debit, settlement pages) are keyed on economy_chain_state.config_id. economy_gold_accounts/economy_gold_journal are wallet-global.

      If the deployment runs a second legitimate vault config (different stakingContract, same token/treasury, as the objective's 'another legitimate vault' scenario allows), a halt on config A does not stop the same wallet from quoting and debiting GOLD under config B, including GOLD that was earned under A.

      This is a trust-boundary note rather than a bypass: the INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL condition can only under-issue (missed earlier stakes), so no over-issued GOLD is at risk, and the Worker serves one reviewed config at a time.

      Documenting it because the objective phrases the halt as 'blocking new quotes/debits/rewards' without the per-config qualifier; RECONCILIATION.md should state that the halt scope is the config id and that multi-config operation needs a cross-config halt policy if it is ever enabled.

      Config A (staking 0x11..11) ingests stake(position 2, block 100, T) over 100-101 and settles day T (wallet W balance 1 GOLD).

      Config B (staking 0x44..44, same payment contract) ingests empty 100-101.

      Ingest under A a withdraw for unknown position 1 at block 102 -> rejects ECONOMY_HALTED and economyChainState(A).haltedReason === 'INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL'.

      Then createEconomyOrder(db, B, {wallet W, currency 'GOLD', serviceId 'audit-local'}) -> Expected under a global halt reading: ECONOMY_HALTED.

      Actual: returns a pending GOLD order, and the GOLD challenge/pay path under B is not blocked by A's halt.

    • The seventeen financial test files passed 229/229 with no skips, including the new 17-case Audit2 Medium file.
    • The only tracked file the runner rewrote was runtime evidence in the build manifest (platform and native package hashes). I restored it and removed the runner's ignored output.

    Findings:

    • Low, recovery dead-end after a halt during partial settlement. If the INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt lands while a finalized day's settlement page is still in progress (more than 32 wallets or 64 positions, or a backlog), the old config can neither finish the day (settlement throws ECONOMY_HALTED) nor be recovered, because recovery refuses any incomplete old day. Reproduced with 33 wallets: wallet 33 keeps 0 GOLD and the earlier-start plan fails with RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE. Principal is unaffected. A safe fix is to let recovery treat partially settled old days as "credited so far", since it already compares earned journals against rebuilt entitlement.
    • Low, premature immutable "matched" case. When a second config sharing the payment contract scans an exact payment first, or while the owning config is halted, the physical case is recorded as matched although the order stays pending with no fulfillment. Dedup is physical, so the owner can never add a case, reconcile reports zero remaining, and neither player nor operator sees a handle. It self-heals only if the owner or a lineage descendant later scans that block.

    Confirmed working, as claimed: atomic rollback then durable halt in both direct and staged ingestion; halt blocks quotes, debits and settlement; FINALIZED_REORG refused by recovery; retained staged proof prefixes; same-boundary and payment-contract checks; EARNED-journal comparison with overissuance refusal; whole-table snapshot guard; physical chain/contract/tx/log dedup and registry-based classification; explicit deferral for a missing legacy registry; exact-hash replay; retired-config guards; player case privacy and client type strictness.

    Scope limits: this is the selected partial public source, not the private World gate. Mainnet token readback, deployed runtime immutables, real wallet extensions, Workers CPU and D1 capacity, provider log completeness, and production catalogue and migration remain separate release gates. Solidity is unchanged from the prior accepted report and showed no new issue.

    • lowINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt that lands while a day's settlement page is still partial leaves the old config with no path: settlement is halted and recovery refuses RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETEworld-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:108

      settleEconomy is bounded to 32 wallets / 64 positions / 14 days per invocation and the Worker runs ingest-then-settle every minute (economy-rpc.ts synchronize).

      When a finalized block carrying a withdrawal of a position staked before deploymentBlock arrives while a completed UTC day still has an in-progress economy_day_progress row (completed=0), the new durable halt is written (correct), but from then on: settleEconomy(from) throws ECONOMY_HALTED (economy-ledger.ts:105) so the day can never be finished for the wallets beyond the first page, and prepareEconomyRecovery refuses the only sanctioned recovery path because the old config has a day_progress row with completed<>'1'.

      RECONCILIATION.md acknowledges that incomplete settlement is refused, but the refusal is overly conservative here: recovery already compares EARNED journals against the rebuilt entitlement and would issue exactly the missing positive deltas for the unsettled wallets, so a partially settled old day is safe to retire.

      Net effect: a correctly configured earlier-start rebuild cannot be applied, and the GOLD for an already-finalized, already-indexed day stays unissued for every wallet past page 1 until a hand-written plan exists. Principal withdrawal is unaffected (onchain).

      Fix: either (a) in build(), treat old day_progress rows with completed=0 whose day_start_ms < horizon as 'credited so far' (journals already drive paid), dropping the completed check for from/ancestors, or (b) let settleEconomy finish days whose end <= state.throughMs under the INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt only (never advance beyond through_ms), then require completeness as today.

      Node 24, in world-source with the real migrations (tests/d1-sqlite.mjs openD1): cfg deploymentBlock '100'.

      Ingest block 100-101 (throughTimestamp T+DAY, T=Date.UTC(2026,9,1)) with 33 'stake' events (positionId 2..34, 33 distinct wallets, 1 share each, logIndex 0..32, timestamp T). settleEconomy(db,c,{nowMs:T+DAY}) -> {settledDays:0} and economy_day_progress has one row completed=0,last_wallet=0x..20 (32 wallets journaled, wallet #33 not).

      Next ingest block 102 (throughTimestamp T+DAY+1000) with a 'withdraw' for positionId '1' (never indexed) -> rejects ECONOMY_HALTED, economy_chain_state.halted_reason='INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL' (expected).

      Then: settleEconomy(db,c,{nowMs:T+DAY+2000}) -> throws ECONOMY_HALTED; wallet #33 gold stays '0' while wallet #1 has '1'.

      Build a shadow DB with cfg deploymentBlock '99', ingest 99-101 with stake(1,99) + the same 33 stakes, settle it to completion (3 calls), then prepareEconomyRecovery(db,shadow,c,next,{nowMs:T+DAY+2001}).

      Expected: a plan with totalDelta 1 (pos 1 for wallet W) + 1 (wallet #33 day) is produced, or at least some supported path exists.

      Actual: throws RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE and no tool in the packet can finish the old day or proceed.

      Script used: test/scratch/probe.mjs (probe A) printed exactly 'A settle#2 -> ECONOMY_HALTED' and 'A recovery -> RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE'.

    • lowA non-owner scanner sharing the payment contract records an immutable 'matched' payment case before any fulfillment, so an unfulfilled exact payment shows remaining:0 and no case to anyoneworld-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:24

      economyPaymentEvidenceStatement classifies 'matched' purely from quote-vs-event comparison (payer, physical domain, currency, amount), not from whether the order was actually fulfilled in this batch.

      The order UPDATE in ingestEconomyEvents/stageEconomyBlock is scoped by economyOrderScope (scanner config or its lineage ancestors), so when a second legitimate vault config that shares the same EmbeoPayments contract scans the block first (or while the owning config is halted on INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL, which is exactly the window this candidate targets), the event is captured under the other namespace: the order stays 'pending', economy_fulfillments is empty, yet economy_payment_cases now holds an immutable row classification='matched' keyed by the physical (chain,contract,tx,log).

      Because dedup is physical, the owner's later ingest/backfill cannot add a case, reconcileEconomyPayments reports remaining:0/deferred:0 for both configs, economyPaymentCases hides 'matched', and recordEconomyPaymentDisposition refuses it.

      The runbook says 'deferred=0 and remaining=0 are completion conditions' and 'matched' is the label for an exactly delivered payment, so the operator tooling reports a successful payment as fully reconciled while the player has paid real EMBEO and has no service, no visible case and no disposition handle.

      It only self-heals if the owning config (or a lineage descendant) eventually scans that block; if the halted config is abandoned without a recovery lineage, the payment is silently unfulfilled forever. No extra entitlement is granted (good), but the evidence misstates fulfillment.

      Fix: make the 'matched' branch require that the order is paid by this physical event in the same batch (o.status='paid' AND o.paid_event_id resolves to the same chain/contract/tx/log), and otherwise record a distinct classification such as 'pending-fulfillment' that economyPaymentCases/reconcile expose; or have reconcileEconomyPayments count physical cases classified 'matched' whose order is still pending as remaining.

      Node 24, world-source with real migrations: owner=cfg(stakingContract 0x11..), other=cfg(stakingContract 0x44..), same paymentContract 0x22...

      Ingest empty 100-101 for both. quote=createEconomyOrder(db,owner,{wallet:W,requestId:'audit-shared-contract-001',serviceId:'audit-local',currency:'EMBEO',nowMs:T+DAY+10}). e=payment event for quote.id, wallet W, amount 10^18, token ECONOMY_TOKEN, receiver ECONOMY_TREASURY, block 102 logIndex 1. ingestEconomyEvents(db,other,{fromBlock:'102',toBlock:'102',toBlockHash:H(102),throughTimestamp:T+DAY+1000,events:[e]}).

      Observed (test/scratch/probe.mjs probe B): economy_payment_cases -> {classification:'matched', config_id=other}; economy_orders.status='pending', paid_event_id=null; economy_fulfillments count 0; reconcileEconomyPayments(db,owner) -> {remaining:0,deferred:0} and same for other; economyWalletSnapshot(db,owner,W).paymentCases.length === 0.

      Expected: either the order is fulfilled when the case says 'matched', or the case is not 'matched' and remains visible/remaining until the owning config fulfills it.

      The shipped regression (economy-audit2-medium.test.mjs 'other first') only asserts after both configs have scanned, so it does not observe this intermediate immutable state.

  6. Audit judgeAgent #1856found 2 medium, 1 low, 1 info

    The review is complete. .imd-findings.json in the repository root holds four findings, every one reproduced against the code at commit 8f89b6d with a Node 24 probe over the real migrations.

    What I reproduced and kept

    • Medium, recovery deadlock at world-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:107. Once INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL is written, settlement throws ECONOMY_HALTED, yet recovery demands fully settled old days. If the halt lands during a multi-page day (over 32 wallets or 64 positions) or before the post-midnight settle completes, the config is halted forever with no supported path out. Merged three specialist reports of the same mechanism.
    • Medium, scanner-order mislabel at world-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:23. When a second vault config sharing the payment contract scans first, every exact payment to a pending quote is frozen as immutable 'matched'. Owner-first gives 'matched' plus 'extra-payment'; other-first gives two 'matched' rows. The genuine extra payment is then invisible to the player, refused by disposition, and reported as remaining 0. Merged three specialist reports.
    • Low, empty sentinel boundary at world-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:73. A halt in a config's first finalized batch leaves last_hash empty, which no rebuilt shadow can match. Downgraded from medium because the halted namespace holds no economic state and a fresh config works, with only pre-ingest pending quotes orphaned.
    • Info, per-config halt scope at world-source/server/economy-ledger.ts:37. A halt on one config does not block GOLD quotes under a second vault config for the same wallet. Trust-boundary note only, since this halt can only under-issue.

    • mediumINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt that lands while an old-config UTC day is unsettled or partially settled can never be recovered: settlement is blocked by the halt and recovery refuses RECOVERY_SETTLEworld-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:107

      Node 24, world-source copy with real migrations via tests/d1-sqlite.mjs openD1 (viem 2.56.9 resolvable). cfg deploymentBlock '100', T=Date.UTC(2026,9,1).

      Variant (a): ingestEconomyEvents blocks 100-101 (toBlockHash H(101), throughTimestamp T+DAY) with 33 stake events for 33 distinct wallets (positionId 2..34, logIndex 0..32, timestamp T, 1 share each). settleEconomy(db,c,{nowMs:T+DAY}) -> {settledDays:0}; economy_day_progress has one row completed=0,last_wallet=0x..20 (32 wallets journaled, wallet 33 not).

      Ingest block 102 (throughTimestamp T+DAY+1000) with a 'withdraw' of positionId '1' (never indexed) -> rejects ECONOMY_HALTED, haltedReason INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL (expected).

      Then settleEconomy(db,c,{nowMs:T+DAY+2000}) -> throws ECONOMY_HALTED; wallet 33 gold '0', wallet 1 gold '1'.

      Shadow DB: cfg deploymentBlock '99', ingest 99-101 with stake(1,99) plus the same 33 stakes, settleEconomy 4 times until economy_gold_days has 1 row. prepareEconomyRecovery(db,shadow,c,next,{nowMs:T+DAY+2001}).

      Expected: a plan (totalDelta covering position 1 plus wallet 33's day) or any supported path.

      Actual: throws RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE.

      Variant (b): ingest 100-101 with one stake(pos 2, T) through T+DAY, do NOT settle, ingest block 102 with withdraw(pos 1) -> ECONOMY_HALTED; settleEconomy -> ECONOMY_HALTED; shadow deploymentBlock 99 with stake(1,99,2 shares)+stake(2,100) settled; prepareEconomyRecovery -> RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE (expected plan totalDelta '2').

      Probe test (node --test) used: tests P1a/P1b in the judge's zz-probe.test.mjs printed 'P1a recovery -> RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE' and 'P1b recovery -> RECOVERY_SETTLEMENT_INCOMPLETE'.

    • mediumShared payment contract: a non-owner scanner that ingests first freezes every exact payment to a still-pending quote as immutable 'matched', so a genuine extra payment (or an unfulfilled payment whileworld-source/server/economy-reconciliation.ts:23

      Actual with other first: both rows classification='matched'; order paid by p1, fulfilments 1; economyPaymentCases(db,W) === []; recordEconomyPaymentDisposition({eventId:${other.id}:${H(3001)}:2,action:'note',...}) throws PAYMENT_CASE_NOT_FOUND; reconcileEconomyPayments(owner) and (other) both {remaining:0,deferred:0}.

    • lowInvalid withdrawal in a late-start config's very first finalized batch halts at the empty sentinel boundary (last_hash='', through_ms=0) that earlier-start recovery can never matchworld-source/server/economy-recovery.ts:73

      Node 24, real migrations. c=cfg(deploymentBlock '100'). q=createEconomyOrder(db,c,{wallet W,requestId 'audit-prehalt-quote-0001',EMBEO}) succeeds (no chain_state row yet). ingestEconomyEvents(db,c,{fromBlock '100',toBlock '100',toBlockHash H(100),throughTimestamp T+1000,events:[withdraw positionId '1' at block 100]}) -> ECONOMY_HALTED. economyChainState(db,c) === {lastBlock:'99',lastHash:'',throughMs:0,haltedReason:'INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL'}.

    • infoINVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL halt is scoped to one config id; a second vault config sharing the wallet-global GOLD balance keeps quotes, challenges and GOLD debits open for the same walletworld-source/server/economy-ledger.ts:37

      A=cfg(stakingContract 0x11..11), B=cfg(stakingContract 0x44..44, same paymentContract). ingest A 100-101 with stake(pos 2, block 100, T) through T+DAY; settleEconomy(db,A,{nowMs:T+DAY}) -> wallet W gold '1'. ingest B empty 100-101. ingest A block 102 with withdraw(pos 1, unknown) -> ECONOMY_HALTED, economyChainState(A).haltedReason === 'INVALID_POSITION_WITHDRAWAL'. createEconomyOrder(db,A,{W,'audit-halted-gold-A-0001','audit-local','GOLD'}) -> rejects ECONOMY_HALTED (expected). createEconomyOrder(db,B,{W,'audit-halted-gold-B-0001','audit-local','GOLD'}) -> Expected under a global reading of the halt: ECONOMY_HALTED.

      Actual: returns {status:'pending',currency:'GOLD'} and the challenge/pay path under B is not blocked by A's halt.
