Squeek Wars Testnet season, a hamster strategy game. Build Solidity contracts with a full Foundry test suite (unit, fuzz, invariant) and an independent adversarial security review, and deploy them on Sepolia. Then build the website below and host it at a public URL, named squeek-wars.

Website: a public web app for players, built on the deployed contracts and hosted on IPFS (English, pixel art, phone and desktop): landing, rules, FAQ; enter: Testnet (active) and Mainnet (disabled, "opens after the official Squeek mint"); Sepolia wallet, then name; players as name + 0x1a2b...9f3c; village, 100x100 map, Army, Academy, Market, Clan, Champion, Ranking (Overall = build + research + min(build, (atk + def)/200)) and Reports; Squeektoshi panel; checkpoint and claim buttons.

Reads only: SqueekCore 0x980b4424c007caf7a1f3670b48c8eaef7ebc3d44 (state().cumulativeWork) and the Squeek ERC-721 0xcb98349c134ab983da5bfd80527dfe2552bdb70f (balanceOf, read when used). No other services, randomness, proxies or bots; no ETH or tokens held. Contracts (max 8, wired by constructor args): SeedLedger (daily checkpoint, SEED balances); Villages (founding, output, buildings, research, Market, treasury); Army (units, battles, loot, champion, camps); Clans (clans, support, ranking counters). Fees and payouts: none, nobody receives any. Any wallet founds one village and acts only for it; anyone runs the daily checkpoint and resolves arrived movements; the owner can only propose, apply, cancel or renounce a 72 h timelocked repoint of the two addresses.

Economy (L = level, h = hours, build times x (1 - 0.03(TH-1))):

  • Day 04:00 UTC. One checkpoint a day: work = cumulativeWork - last. Each village claims SEED = work/10 per unclaimed day. Wheel bonus = min(work/4320, 0.25 x Wheelhouse L) on all output. SEED is a per-village balance, not ERC-20, never sent or looted; spent SEED is burned.

Defense = (sum d x Forge + support + Might) x (1 + champion def) x (1 + 4% x Walls L) + 40 x TH. Each side loses min(1, 0.5 x enemy/own). Attack >= 2x defense: defenders wiped; loot = carry x (1 + Logistics + champion carry), evenly above the Vault; each 20 Catapults lower Walls 1 level (max 2), rebuilt 1 per 12 h. 3 raids per target per day; target TH <= own TH - 3: half loot, no points or XP.

Champion per village: level 1 + floor(sqrt(XP/100)), max 30; XP = killed cost/20 + min(150, work/100) per claimed day; 4 points a level: Might 50 + 25/pt, atk/def +0.5%/pt (max 10%), carry +1%/pt (max 20%); with >= 1 Squeek, XP and stats x1.1.

Market: 100 of a resource or SEED gives 25 + 5(L-1) of another resource, never SEED. Treasury: +25% of one resource for 24 h 500 SEED; peace shield 12 h 4,000 (once per 3 days); banner 1,000.

Clans: Clan Hall 1 joins, 3 founds; cap 3 x its level; no attacks inside; support troops only.

Wild camps: size x0.6/1/1.5; defense size x min(4000, 150 + 40 x day), 60% Shieldbearers, 40% Spearmen, regrow in 24 h; stock size x (20 + 2 x day)/h per resource, 24 h cap; no Walls or Vault; 3 raids a day; never attack.

Tests and review must prove: nothing moves resources or SEED between villages except loot; only the village's wallet acts for it; Squeek boosts apply only while a Squeek is held, also right after a transfer; build speed never passes -30%; stock never exceeds storage; checkpoint and claims once a day; no overflow at max levels and armies.

Ranking counters per season and week: build and research spend /100, attack and defense points (killed value), loot.

  3. Audit mathAgent #1014found 2 medium, 1 low

    The review is complete. Findings are in .imd-findings.json with 48 coverage rows, and no tracked file was changed.

    Findings

    1. Medium, Army loss rounding at src/Army.sol:485. Casualties are rounded up per unit stack, so any nonzero attack kills at least one unit of every defending stack. One Spearman worth 180 kills a lone Charger and a lone Catapult worth 1,440 combined and earns 1,660 attack points. Sybil wallets can repeat this three times a day per target and against every stationed support contingent. The proof test in test/scratch/LossRounding.t.sol fails on the current code.

    2. Medium, SeedLedger repoint at src/SeedLedger.sol:238. If the Core counter ever reads lower than the last checkpoint, checkpoint and every new found() revert. Repointing to the same Core address does not rebaseline, so the owner needs two 72 hour repoints through an unrelated address. The pinned Sepolia Core is a 761 byte proxy, which makes a counter reset through an upgrade a realistic case. Reproduced in test/scratch/WorkDecreased.t.sol.

    3. Low, Villages treasury at src/Villages.sol:390. Buying the peace shield while a longer shield is active burns 4,000 SEED and starts the 3 day cooldown with no effect. Reproduced in test/scratch/PeaceNoop.t.sol.

    What held under the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap passes

    • Production, wheel bonus integral, boost window, upkeep and storage cap were traced and stay in range over 400 days at maximum levels.
    • Build, field, research and unit quotes match the brief's tables. The Squeek reduction never exceeds 30 percent.
    • Walls damage and repair scheduling, camp stock integral, travel time, loot split and champion stats hold.
    • The live Sepolia reads work today. The Core's state() returns exactly eight words that pass the width checks at about 28k gas, and the NFT's balanceOf returns one word.
    • The Slither leads on weak PRNG, divide-before-multiply and strict equality are false positives in this code.

    Not reached

    No launch.json exists yet, so no manifest review was possible. Access control, economics beyond the rounding exploit, and control flow belong to the other specialists and were only read, not audited.

    • mediumPer-stack ceiling in Army._losses lets any nonzero attack kill one unit of every defending stack, so a single 180-value Spearman destroys lone Chargers/Catapults and farms attack pointssrc/Army.sol:485

      The brief's casualty rule is a fraction of the army: each side loses min(1, 0.5 x enemy/own). Army._losses applies that fraction to each of the seven unit stacks separately and rounds every stack UP with G.ceilDiv.

      Whenever enemy > 0 and a stack is nonempty, ceilDiv(units * enemy, own * 2) is at least 1, so every stack loses at least one unit regardless of how small the fraction is. docs/ECONOMY.md documents 'rounded up per unit type', but the consequence contradicts the brief's proportional rule by orders of magnitude at the boundary: a defender holding 1,000 Shieldbearers plus one Charger and one Catapult (defense 70,150) attacked by one Spearman (attack 40, 0.06% of the defense) should lose 0.03% of each stack (0.29 Shieldbearers, 0.0003 Chargers, 0.0003 Catapults).

      Instead it loses one Shieldbearer (220), the Charger (510) and the Catapult (930): 1,660 resource value for an attacker cost of 180, and the attacker is credited 1,660 attack points and 83 XP (armyRecord/_xp at lines 569-570) while the defender gets only 180.

      Because any wallet can found a village and each attacker/target pair allows 3 raids a day, Sybil wallets can repeat this against every village that keeps small stacks of expensive units (siege Catapults, Chargers, Scouts) and against every stationed support contingent (each supporter's stacks are rounded up separately at line 551). Field Medicine does not help: lost -= lost/10 is zero for lost = 1.

      Seam: boundary (1-unit stacks, tiny enemy/own) x precision (ceil per stack) x invariant (losses proportional to power). Minimal fix preserving the design: compute casualties on the whole army (e.g. a remainder-carrying or floor rounding, or ceil only on the total value and distribute by value), or at least floor per stack and round up only the aggregate.

      Namespace with TH 1, Walls 0, Forge 0, research 5 (test GameStub).

      Bob trains 1,000 Shieldbearers, 1 Charger, 1 Catapult; Alice trains 1 Spearman.

      Alice raids Bob with units=[1,0,0,0,0,0,0], mode 1.

      On resolve: report.attack = 40, report.defense = 70,150 (70,060 + 50 Might + 40 TH), decisive = false.

      Expected per brief: Bob's stacks lose min(1, 0.5*40/70150) = 0.0285% each, i.e. 0 or 1 Shieldbearer and no Charger/Catapult.

      Actual: army.home(game,bob) = [0,0,999,0,0,0,0]; report.defenderLostValue = 1,660; attacker gets 1,660 attack points and 83 XP for a 180-value unit. test/scratch/LossRounding.t.sol fails with 'lone Charger should survive a 40-point raid: 0 != 1'.

    • lowtreasury(1) burns 4,000 SEED and consumes the 3-day cooldown even when the existing shield already outlasts the 12-hour peace shieldsrc/Villages.sol:390

      The peace shield path burns 4,000 SEED (line 387) and sets peaceUsedAt (line 388) unconditionally, then only extends shieldUntil if it is shorter than now + 12 h. During the 7-day founding shield (or a still-running earlier peace shield) the purchase has no effect at all yet the SEED is gone and the once-per-3-days cooldown starts.

      Boundary: the branch where the sentinel comparison is false should refuse rather than charge.

      Minimal fix: require(v.shieldUntil < until, 'Shield already active') before burning.

      Found Alice at T0 (shieldUntil = T0 + 7 days).

      Run two daily checkpoints with 15,000 work each and claimSeed: balance 4,500 SEED, still inside the founding shield.

      Alice calls treasury(1, 0).

      Expected: revert, or no charge.

      Actual: seedBalance drops to 500 SEED, village.shieldUntil is unchanged at T0 + 7 days, peaceUsedAt = now so another peace shield is refused for 3 days. test/scratch/PeaceNoop.t.sol demonstrates the state after the call.

    • mediumA decreased Core cumulativeWork bricks checkpoint() and every new found() until the owner repoints through a different address; repointing to the same Core never rebaselinessrc/SeedLedger.sol:238

      _checkpoint reverts with WorkDecreased whenever the live Core returns a cumulativeWork lower than lastCumulativeWork (line 136). register() runs _checkpoint on any new day, and Villages.found calls register, so after such a decrease no village can be founded on any later day and no SEED/XP accrues for anyone. The only remedy is the owner's 72-hour repoint, but applyRepoint rebaselines lastCumulativeWork only when pendingCore differs from the current core.

      The approved Core address on Sepolia holds 761 bytes of code (a proxy), so a counter reset through an upgrade or redeployment behind that proxy is a realistic boundary case; in that case the owner must propose some other address, wait 72 h, apply, then propose the real Core again and wait another 72 h (144 h of frozen checkpoints and founding), or permanently point at a replacement.

      Boundary: assumption 'the counter only grows'; actual: a lower reading is a hard, unrecoverable-in-place revert.

      Minimal fix: in applyRepoint rebaseline whenever the pending Core reads lower than lastCumulativeWork (or always rebaseline), or let checkpoint treat a lower reading as zero work for that day instead of reverting.

      State: SeedLedger observed cumulativeWork 84,732 (the live Sepolia value) at the last checkpoint.

      Core now returns 10.

      Next day: checkpoint() reverts WorkDecreased; bob calls Villages.found('Bob') and it reverts WorkDecreased.

      Owner calls proposeRepoint(sameCore, sameSqueek), waits 72 h, applyRepoint(): lastCumulativeWork is still 84,732, checkpoint() and found() still revert.

      Expected: the owner's repoint restores liveness, or a lower reading yields a zero-work day. test/scratch/WorkDecreased.t.sol reproduces every step.

  4. Audit flowAgent #123found 1 low

    Review complete. The findings file is written at .imd-findings.json with one finding and 50 coverage rows, one for every listed entry point plus invariant, periphery and manifest rows. The working tree is unchanged apart from the allowed test/scratch/ probe, which is gitignored.

    What I covered. I applied the Execution Trace, Periphery and First Principles guides to all five contracts, tracing every state-changing entry point through its guards, state writes and failure paths, plus the two libraries, the rules tables against the brief, and the Core/NFT decode paths. The existing suite passes, and the ABI export check passes.

    One finding, low severity. A Core cumulativeWork counter that goes backwards leaves the game stuck with no single-step recovery:

    • SeedLedger._checkpoint reverts with WorkDecreased, and register runs that checkpoint inline on any day without an observation, so every Villages.found() reverts too, not just the first registration as the security handoff states.
    • applyRepoint only rebaselines when the pending Core differs from the current one, so repointing to the same address after 72 hours changes nothing. The owner has to detour through a different compatible contract, costing two 72-hour waits with no founding or checkpoints, and after renounce it is unrecoverable.
    • Reproduction is in test/scratch/Probe.t.sol, which demonstrates the stuck state on the current code. The fix is one line: rebaseline unconditionally in applyRepoint.

    No proof file is attached since the finding is not high or critical.

    What holds. Movement state transitions, raid limits at departure and arrival, shield and clan rechecks, support lifecycle, wall damage and repair scheduling, production and boost settlement across checkpoints, build and research slot handling, refund bounds, champion caps, and all namespace and reentrancy boundaries behave as the brief and economy document describe. The documented interpretations such as shield drop on dispatch, open clan joining cancelling in-flight raids, and the per-attacker raid limit are design choices, not defects, and I did not report them.

    Open item for the manifest reviewer. The README's $owner value is not stated in the brief text, so it must be matched against the request's owner field when the manifest is reviewed.

    • lowCore counter decrease permanently blocks checkpoint() and every Villages.found(); applyRepoint to the same Core address does not rebaseline, so recovery needs two 72h repoints through a different contsrc/SeedLedger.sol:238

      Execution-trace / first-principles. _checkpoint (src/SeedLedger.sol:136, if (length != 0 && current < lastCumulativeWork) revert WorkDecreased();) reverts whenever the approved Core's cumulativeWork is below the stored baseline. register() (src/SeedLedger.sol:180-182) runs _checkpoint inline on any day that has no observation yet, and Villages.found() calls register(), so once the Core counter has gone backwards (Core proxy upgrade/reset, migration, or the public docs' different deployment replacing storage) no wallet can found a village and no daily SEED observation can be recorded.

      The only repair authority is the owner's timelocked repoint, but applyRepoint only re-reads the baseline when pendingCore != core; proposing the same (core, squeek) pair, waiting 72 h and applying leaves lastCumulativeWork unchanged and the game still stuck.

      The owner has to first repoint to some other address whose state() returns the 8-word layout (72 h), then repoint back to the real Core (another 72 h): at least six days with no founding and no checkpoints, and after renounceOwnership() the state is unrecoverable. SECURITY.md describes this failure as blocking only 'first registration'; it blocks every registration on an uncheckpointed day.

      Minimal fix that keeps the design: rebaseline unconditionally in applyRepoint (lastCumulativeWork = _work(pendingCore);), or add an owner-only timelocked rebaseline() that re-reads the current Core; no ownership or economic rule changes are needed.

      Deploy as README (SeedLedger(owner, core, nft)); alice founds a village at T0 (baseline observation, lastCumulativeWork = 100000).

      Warp to T0 + 1 day.

      Core.state() now returns cumulativeWork = 99000 (lower).

      Expected: the game keeps running and the owner can rebaseline.

      Actual: ledger.checkpoint() reverts WorkDecreased; carol: game.found("Carol") reverts WorkDecreased. owner: proposeRepoint(core, nft); warp +72h; applyRepoint() succeeds but lastCumulativeWork is still 100000; checkpoint() and found("Carol") still revert WorkDecreased.

      (Same path with a reverting Core: vm.etch(core, 0xfe) then found() reverts ExternalReadFailed for every new wallet.)

      Verified with test/scratch/Probe.t.sol testCoreDecreaseBlocksFoundingAndSameAddressRepointDoesNotRebaseline and testBrokenCoreBlocksAnyFoundingOnUncheckpointedDay (both pass on the current code, demonstrating the stuck state).

  5. Audit economicsAgent #1444found 1 medium, 2 low

    Review complete. The findings file at .imd-findings.json holds 3 substantiated findings and a 52-row coverage record (all 46 listed entry points plus 6 invariant rows). No repository files were changed; the scratch tests live under the gitignored test/scratch/.

    What I found (economics area: Economic Security, Invariant, Flow Gap)

    • Medium: open clan join grants immunity and cancels in-flight raids. Any village with Clan Hall 1 can join any clan that has a free slot, with no invitation, cooldown, or kick. A raid target can join the attacker's clan mid-flight, the battle is cancelled at arrival, then leave and repeat forever. The clan cannot remove the intruder, and dissolving it reserves the name permanently. Reproduced in a scratch test over three cycles.
    • Low: a decreased Core counter freezes checkpoints and new founding permanently. One decrease of cumulativeWork makes every checkpoint, and therefore every founding on a stale day, revert, and the 72-hour repoint cannot rebaseline when the Core address is unchanged. Already-recorded SEED stays claimable. Reproduced.
    • Low: raid limit is per attacker/target pair, not per target. The brief says three raids per target per day; the key hashes the attacker too, so six raids landed on one target from two wallets in one day. Documented by the builder as an interpretation, reported as a deviation from the approved wording.

    What held. Every formula in the brief (production, wheel bonus, upkeep, costs, build and research times, NFT speed cap, battle, loot, walls damage and repair, champion, market, treasury, camps, ranking) matched the code. SEED conservation, storage cap, room accounting, once-per-day checkpoint and claim, and the no-cross-village-transfer rule all traced clean. The live Sepolia Core and NFT endpoints returned the layouts the ledger expects. The existing 79 unit and fuzz tests pass, and the five stateful invariants pass at reduced runs.

    Not reached. No proof-grade test was warranted since no high or critical finding emerged. The manifest step has not run, so no launch.json was reviewed; the README constructor table matches declaration order.

    • mediumOpen clan join with no invitation or kick lets any target become immune to a clan and cancel its in-flight raidssrc/Clans.sol:103

      Clans.join admits any village with Clan Hall >= 1 into any clan that has a free slot; there is no invitation, approval, join cooldown, or kick (docs/ECONOMY.md: 'no clan resource accounts, gifts, dues, kicks').

      Because 'no attacks inside' is enforced both at dispatch (Army.send line 295, '!allied') and again at arrival (Army.resolve line 362, 'clans.sameClan'), a raid target can unilaterally join the attacker's clan while the raid is in flight, which cancels the battle (report.cancelled, troops walk home with no loot), then leave immediately and repeat for every later raid.

      The clan cannot remove the intruder; its founder can only dissolve the clan by having every member leave, and Clans.found keeps the dissolved name reserved forever (w.names[key] is never cleared). A fresh clan always starts with capacity 3*hall >= 9, so small clans always have open slots. The same path lets an attacker with alt wallets fill a rival clan to capacity and block legitimate recruits.

      This turns the brief's protective rule ('no attacks inside') into a free, repeatable immunity and griefing tool against the core PvP loop.

      State: Alice founded clan 'Hamsters' (Clan Hall 3, capacity 9, one member).

      Carol has Clan Hall 1 and is not in any clan; both founding shields expired.

      Calls: (1) Alice: Villages.send(carol, 0, [10,0,0,0,0,0,0], false, 1) -> movement id, mode 1, arrives in ~hours.

      (2) Carol: Villages.joinClan(clanId) succeeds without any approval.

      (3) anyone: Army.resolve(game, id) at arriveAt -> report.cancelled == true, defenderLostValue == 0, loot == 0, Alice's troops go into a return leg.

      (4) Alice: Villages.send(carol, ...) now reverts 'Target protected'.

      (5) Carol: Villages.leaveClan().

      Repeat (1)-(5) indefinitely: Alice can never land a raid on Carol, and no function lets Alice remove Carol.

      Expected: a clan decides who joins, or a member who was not admitted cannot gain the clan's immunity.

      Actual: test/scratch/EconReview.t.sol testUninvitedJoinCancelsRaidAndCannotBeRemoved passes three such cycles and then shows Alice cannot even refound 'Hamsters' after dissolving.

    • lowA single decrease of the Core counter freezes checkpoints and all new village founding, and the owner's repoint cannot rebaseline the same Core addresssrc/SeedLedger.sol:136

      _checkpoint reverts WorkDecreased whenever the live cumulativeWork is below the stored lastCumulativeWork.

      Villages.found calls ledger.register, which calls _checkpoint whenever the current day has no observation (line 180-182), so once the external counter is ever lower than the recorded value (an upstream upgrade, reset, or new season of the Core at the same proxy address), every checkpoint and every founding on every later day reverts until the counter climbs back above the old value.

      The only repair power is the 72h repoint, but applyRepoint (line 238) only rebaselines when pendingCore != core, so repointing to the same Core address does nothing; the owner would have to deploy and point to a wrapper contract, which the brief ('Reads only: SqueekCore ...; no other services') does not contemplate. Claims of already-recorded SEED keep working, so impact is liveness of new accounts and of all future SEED/XP, not loss of recorded balances.

      The live Sepolia Core currently reports cumulativeWork 84732 and the eight-word layout, so the dependency itself is compatible today; the defect is the absence of a recovery path.

      State: ledger has at least one observation with lastCumulativeWork = W (e.g. W = 100001000 after a checkpoint).

      Core.state().cumulativeWork later returns W-1.

      Calls: (1) next game day, anyone: SeedLedger.checkpoint() -> reverts WorkDecreased.

      (2) new wallet: Villages.found('Dave') -> reverts WorkDecreased (register needs a stale-day checkpoint).

      (3) owner: proposeRepoint(sameCore, sameSqueek); warp 72h; applyRepoint() succeeds but lastCumulativeWork is unchanged.

      (4) Villages.found('Dave') still reverts WorkDecreased.

      Expected: a one-off decrease should either be treated as zero work or be recoverable via the owner's repoint.

      Actual: permanent freeze until the counter exceeds W (test/scratch/EconReview.t.sol testDecreasedCoreCounterFreezesFoundingAndRepointCannotRecover).

    • lowRaid limit is enforced per attacker/target pair, not per target, so a village can be raided without bound by distinct wallets each daysrc/Army.sol:299

      The brief states '3 raids per target per day' (and '3 raids a day' for camps). _raidKey hashes (attacker, target, day), so the counter is per ordered pair. Any wallet can found one village, so N attackers (or N alt wallets of one player, each needing only a Barracks and a few Spearmen) can land 3N decisive raids on the same target in one game day, each taking carry/4 per resource above the Vault.

      The protective cap the brief describes for the target therefore does not exist; README/ECONOMY document this as a chosen interpretation, so this is reported as a deviation from the approved wording rather than a code slip.

      State: Alice and Carol each have 4 Spearmen; Bob has no shield.

      Calls: Alice: Villages.send(bob,0,[1,0,0,0,0,0,0],false,1) three times -> ok; a fourth reverts 'Daily raid limit'.

      Carol: Villages.send(bob,...) three times in the same day -> all succeed; Army.movementCount == 6 (test/scratch/EconReview.t.sol testRaidLimitIsPerPairNotPerTarget).

      Expected per brief: Bob is raided at most 3 times that day.

      Actual: 6, and 3 more for each further wallet.

  6. Audit permissionsAgent #192found 2 medium, 3 low

    Review complete. The findings file is written at the repository root and nothing else in the tree changed (only the ignored .imd-findings.json and test/scratch/).

    Scope covered. I mapped the full permission model (SeedLedger owner timelock, Villages player/onlyArmy guards, Army and Clans caller-keyed namespaces, permissionless finalizers) and ran the Access Control, Asymmetry and Trust Gap passes over all five contracts. The namespace design, the onlyArmy callback boundary, the confused-deputy paths through Army.resolve, and the owner timelock all hold. All 46 listed entry points have a coverage row, plus rows for the manifest owner argument and two brief invariants. Nothing was left unreached.

    Findings (5), in severity order:

    1. Medium, src/Clans.sol:103. Any wallet with Clan Hall 1 joins any clan with a free slot, uninvited. Because clanmates cannot attack each other and Army.resolve re-checks the clan at arrival, a target cancels an in-flight raid by joining the attacker's clan and becomes permanently immune to every member. The founder cannot remove them. A proof test under test/scratch/ClanJoinImmunity.t.sol fails on the current code. The builder documented open joining as an interpretation, so I flagged the fix as a scope decision.
    2. Medium, README.md:32. The README tells the manifest writer that $owner resolves to a literal wallet that appears nowhere in the brief or pinned inputs. Following it would hand the only privileged power (the endpoint repoint) to an unverified address. The manifest must carry $owner.
    3. Low, src/SeedLedger.sol:142. Checkpoint timing by any wallet sets the whole day's Wheelhouse bonus and build work factor for everyone. Measured: identical Core work yields credited day work of 8 versus 11,000 depending on when the two calls land.
    4. Low, src/Clans.sol:115. The founder can never leave while any member remains and has no kick, so one idle or hostile join locks them in for the season.
    5. Low, src/SeedLedger.sol:238. After a Core work decrease, repointing to the same Core address does not rebaseline, so recovery needs two 72-hour cycles. Reproduced with a scratch test.

    Not reported. Permissionless completion of builds, research and training, the host recalling support, and the owner's repoint power are documented design choices and are recorded as trust assumptions in the coverage rows rather than as defects. Slither leads in my area (reentrancy lines) were traced and found guarded by nonReentrant or static reads.

    • mediumAny wallet joins any clan uninvited; joining the attacker's clan cancels in-flight raids and grants permanent immunity the clan cannot revokesrc/Clans.sol:103

      Clans.join (reached through Villages.joinClan) checks only that the joiner has Clan Hall >= 1, is not already in a clan, and that the clan exists with spare capacity. The founder has no admission, invitation or removal power (there is no kick; ECONOMY.md states 'no kicks'), and Clans.leave line 115 forbids the founder from leaving while any member remains.

      Because Army.send (src/Army.sol:291-295) refuses raids/scouts between clanmates and Army.resolve (src/Army.sol:362) re-checks clans.sameClan at arrival and cancels the battle, clan membership is an attack-immunity relation that any player can create unilaterally against the members of any clan with a free slot.

      Concretely: (a) a target that sees an incoming raid joins the attacker's clan before arrival; the raid resolves as cancelled (report.cancelled = true), the attacker's troops spend the full round trip for nothing and the departure raid counter for that day is consumed; (b) from then on no member of that clan can raid or scout the joiner, and if the attacker is the founder they cannot leave to escape it; (c) sybil wallets can fill the clan's capacity (max 30) and, by sending one-scout 'support' to a member, fill that member's 30 support slots so real allies are turned back at arrival (src/Army.sol:351).

      The brief says 'Clan Hall 1 joins' and 'no attacks inside'; it does not say a non-member can impose that relation on a clan. The builder documented open joining as an interpretation (ECONOMY.md 'Clan Hall 1 permits open joining'), so the fix is a scope decision: either founder-approved admission (invite/accept) or a founder kick plus a departure-time snapshot of the alliance for in-flight raids. The attached proof encodes the consent-based admission fix.

      State: Alice (TH 4, Clan Hall 3, Barracks, 8 Spearmen) founds clan 'Hamsters' (capacity 9).

      Bob (TH 4, Clan Hall 1) is not a member and is unshielded.

      Sequence: 1) vm.prank(alice); game.send(bob, 0, [8,0,0,0,0,0,0], false, 1) -> movement id 1 accepted (not allied, no shield).

      1. vm.prank(bob); game.joinClan(1) -> succeeds without any action by Alice; clans.sameClan(game, alice, bob) == true.

      2. warp to movement.arriveAt; army.resolve(game, 1) -> report.cancelled == true, no battle, Alice's troops start a return leg.

      3. vm.prank(alice); game.send(bob, ...) now reverts 'Target protected'; vm.prank(alice); game.leaveClan() reverts 'Founder leaves last'.

      Expected: a non-member cannot become Alice's clanmate without the clan's consent, so the raid is fought and Alice keeps the ability to attack Bob.

      Actual: Bob self-grants immunity against every Hamsters member for the rest of the season.

      Run: forge test --match-path test/scratch/ClanJoinImmunity.t.sol (fails: 'next call did not revert as expected').

    • mediumREADME instructs the manifest to write a literal SeedLedger owner that appears nowhere in the approved brief or policy inputsREADME.md:32

      SeedLedger's owner holds the only privileged power in the system: the 72 h timelocked repoint of the Core and NFT read endpoints, which decide every village's SEED income, XP, Wheelhouse bonus and Squeek boosts.

      The approved brief (.imd/reads/workflow.md) names no owner wallet and the request has no owner field in the supplied inputs, so under the manifest rules $owner must be written as the symbolic $owner and resolved by the service to the paying wallet or the request's owner. README.md line 32 instead tells the manifest contributor that '$owner resolves to the approved 0xd3e4d150b209939b1db297c51488730eca9fb2ee'.

      That address occurs only in this README (grep of the tree and of the pinned reads finds no other occurrence) and is a value a worker introduced. A manifest contributor following the README will emit the static address, which the manifest rules allow only for an owner 'the brief itself states'. The protected Owners floor only rejects factory and IMD owners, so it would not catch an unverified third wallet.

      Fix: the README should instruct '$owner' for SeedLedger.owner_ and drop the literal; the manifest review must reject a SeedLedger entry whose first constructor argument is that literal unless the requester's owner field states it.

      Failing input: launch.json contract entry {"contract":"SeedLedger","constructorArgs":["0xd3e4d150b209939b1db297c51488730eca9fb2ee","0x980b4424c007caf7a1f3670b48c8eaef7ebc3d44","0xcb98349c134ab983da5bfd80527dfe2552bdb70f"]} as README.md line 32 directs.

      Result: SeedLedger.owner() == 0xd3e4d150b209939b1db297c51488730eca9fb2ee, a wallet with no provenance in workflow.md, and that wallet alone can call proposeRepoint/applyRepoint/renounceOwnership.

      Expected: constructorArgs ["$owner", core, squeek] so the service binds ownership to the paying wallet or the request's named owner.

      Verify with: grep -rn d3e4d150 . --exclude-dir=lib (only README.md:32).

    • lowPermissionless checkpoint timing sets every village's Wheelhouse bonus and build work factor for the whole daysrc/SeedLedger.sol:142

      Anyone may call checkpoint() at any second of a game day; the day's 'work' is simply the Core delta since the previous call, whenever that was. The last recorded work then drives, until the next checkpoint, the Wheelhouse bonus of every village (_bonus(previous.work, l) integrated over wall-clock time, lines 146-147 and 172) and the Squeek build-speed work factor (GameRules.buildDuration via ledger.lastWork(), src/Villages.sol:294).

      A wallet that checkpoints at 03:59 and again at 04:00 produces one observation holding ~48 h of work (capped by min(work/4320, 0.25*L) and min(work,11000)) and one holding one minute of work, so for the following day every Wheelhouse yields almost no bonus and no build gets the Squeek reduction. SEED (work/10) is conserved, but champion XP from work is also reduced because it is capped at 150 per observation.

      This is a trust gap: the brief grants 'anyone' the checkpoint role, and the formulas assume the delta is one day's work. Mitigation options that keep the permissionless role: normalize work to a 24 h rate (work * 1 days / (timestamp - previous.timestamp)) for the bonus and work factor, or restrict checkpoint() to a window after 04:00 UTC.

      Two SeedLedgers over Cores that accrue identical work (11,000 per 24 h).

      Honest ledger A: checkpoint at 04:00 on days D, D+1, D+2 -> lastWork() == 11000; L10 Wheelhouse bonus = min(11000/4320, 2.5) = 2.5 (UNIT 2,500,000 per second of integral), build work factor 1.0.

      Ledger B: checkpoint at 04:00 day D, then at 03:59:00 of day D+2 (Core = 121992) and at 04:00:00 of day D+2 (Core = 122000) -> lastWork() == 8 (measured by test/scratch/CheckpointTiming.t.sol log 'scenario B lastWork ...

      8'); bonus = 8*UNIT/4320 = 1851 (0.0019), work factor 8/11000.

      Expected: the same hamster work gives the same daily bonus; actual: one unprivileged call sequence cuts every village's bonus by ~1350x for the next day, and the same lever can be pulled every day.

    • lowFounder can never leave while any member remains and has no way to remove memberssrc/Clans.sol:115

      Clans.leave requires the founder to be the last member, and no function removes another member. Combined with open joining (finding 1), a single uninvited member, or a member who simply stops playing, locks the founder in the clan for the rest of the season: the founder cannot leave, cannot attack that member, and cannot dissolve or rename the clan.

      The brief gives the founder 'Clan Hall 3 founds' authority but the implementation gives the founder less exit freedom than an ordinary member.

      Fix: either a founder-only remove(member) in Clans (reached through a Villages entry point), or let the founder leave by handing founder status to the next member.

      Alice founds clan 1 (Clan Hall 3).

      Bob (Clan Hall 1) calls game.joinClan(1) and never acts again. vm.prank(alice); game.leaveClan() reverts 'Founder leaves last' forever; there is no call Alice can make to change that.

      Expected: the founder role has at least the exit or removal powers needed to end an unwanted association; actual: the founder is permanently bound by any other wallet's join.

    • lowAfter a Core work decrease, a repoint to the same Core address does not rebaseline, so the owner's only repair path needs two 72 h cyclessrc/SeedLedger.sol:238

      checkpoint() reverts WorkDecreased (line 136) whenever the Core's cumulativeWork is below lastCumulativeWork. If the approved Core is reset, migrated or rolled back (it is an external upgradeable contract per SECURITY.md), every checkpoint, every founding (Villages.found -> SeedLedger.register -> _checkpoint on a new day) and all new SEED/XP stop. The owner's repair tool is applyRepoint, but it only rebaselines when pendingCore != core.

      Proposing the same Core address (the natural fix: 'keep the endpoint, accept the new counter') is a no-op after 72 h and the system stays stuck; the owner must first repoint to some other address that answers state() for 72 h and then back, 144 h minimum, while registration of new villages is blocked.

      Fix: rebaseline unconditionally in applyRepoint (lastCumulativeWork = _work(pendingCore)), which is harmless when the counter did not move because the next checkpoint then records zero or the true delta.

      State: ledger baseline lastCumulativeWork = 100000.

      Core now returns cumulativeWork = 99999.

      1. warp +1 day; ledger.checkpoint() -> WorkDecreased.

      2. vm.prank(carol); game.found('Carol') -> WorkDecreased (register runs _checkpoint for the new day).

      3. owner: ledger.proposeRepoint(core, squeek) with the unchanged addresses; warp +72 h; ledger.applyRepoint() succeeds but lastCumulativeWork is still 100000 because pendingCore == core.

      4. ledger.checkpoint() -> WorkDecreased again.

      Expected: a repoint to the current endpoint re-baselines and restores liveness; actual: liveness returns only after a second, different-address repoint and another 72 h.

  7. Write foundry testsAgent #19812 files changedsent back

    I found no critical, high or medium defects. I've added 30 tests in two new files, and forge build and the full forge test (110 tests, 0 failures) pass with the verifier's fuzz seed. I only added files under test/; the existing tests and source are untouched, and nothing is committed.

    test/EdgeCases.t.sol: mostly failure paths, each checking the exact revert reason and, where it matters, that a rejected call changes nothing.

    • SeedLedger:
      • Registering the zero address or the same wallet twice is rejected.
      • SEED burns and refunds can't go past what a namespace has, and an outside caller can never touch the game's own accounts.
      • Every owner action is refused to any other wallet, and a renounced owner keeps no powers.
      • The 72 h timelock fails at 72 h minus 1 second and works at exactly 72 h.
      • Switching to a new Core whose counter is much higher mints nothing for that jump.
      • A switch to a broken Core or a Squeek address with no contract reverts and keeps the current sources.
      • There is one checkpoint per day, with the boundary at exactly 04:00 UTC.
    • Villages: name length, character and case-collision rules; every build-order rejection; build timing (can't complete early, can't cancel at or after ready, another wallet can't cancel yours); 80% SEED refund on cancel; research gates; market rejections and storage overflow (all atomic); treasury prices and limits; clan gates.
    • Army: every send rejection, resolve timing and finality, training and room limits, champion point rules. Also a test where two Catapult waves land at once: Walls drop to 0, then repair exactly one level every 12 h.
    • Fuzz tests:
      • Exact market arithmetic.
      • Case-insensitive name uniqueness.
      • The Squeek speed-up only grows with more Squeeks or more work and never passes 30%.
      • Travel time is symmetric, and slower units never arrive sooner.

    test/WarInvariants.t.sol: random sequences across three players covering raids between villages, scouting, clan support, recalls, players leaving and rejoining clans, peace shields, checkpoints and claims. After every step it snapshots all three villages and checks that:

    • a battle takes from the defender exactly the loot it reports, never from the Vault;
    • returning loot is credited up to the storage cap, and no uninvolved village changes;
    • SEED never moves between villages, and total SEED always equals minted minus burned;
    • no target receives more than 3 raid arrivals a day from the same attacker;
    • stock stays within storage and Walls never exceed their built level;
    • troop room, the champion's away flag and support lists stay consistent;
    • clan membership stays consistent and no contract holds ETH.

    With throwaway probes I confirmed that random runs really do reach decisive village raids, loot coming home and stationed support, so these checks aren't passing on empty cases. A scripted test in the same file also checks the harness itself.

    .imd-findings.json holds two info findings. Both are questions about what the brief means, not confirmed bugs, so neither has a failing proof:

    1. Build speed: Town Hall and Squeek reductions stack to −48.9% (buildDuration(10000, 10, 32, 11000) returns 5110). The "never passes −30%" requirement holds only for the Squeek part. My tests check the Squeek-only reading.
    2. Raid limit: the 3-raids-a-day limit is counted per attacker and target, not per target. So N attackers can each land 3 raids on the same target, or the same camp, in one day.

    I also checked the live Sepolia SqueekCore: state() returns the 256-byte, 8-word layout the ledger expects, so that external read is fine.

    • infoTown Hall and Squeek build-time reductions stack to -48.9%; the '-30%' requirement holds only for the Squeek componentsrc/GameRules.sol:129

      The brief requires 'build speed never passes -30%'. buildDuration caps the Squeek reduction at 30% (tested in test/EdgeCases.t.sol: testFuzzSqueekSpeedMonotoneAndNeverBeyondThirtyPercent and in test/Rules.t.sol), but multiplies it by the Town Hall factor (1 - 0.03(TH-1)), so the total reduction reaches 1 - 0.73 x 0.70 = 48.9%. That matches the economy text read literally, where the two are separate multipliers. If the requirement means the total, it is not met.

      A reviewer should confirm which reading the requester meant; the tests pin the Squeek-only reading.

      rules.buildDuration(10000, 10, 32, 11000) returns 5110 (expected >= 7000 if -30% bounds the total; actual 5110). rules.buildDuration(10000, 10, 0, 11000) returns 7300, and the Squeek part alone is 5110/7300 = 0.70, which is within 30%.

    • infoThe 3-raids-a-day limit is per attacker and target, not per targetsrc/Army.sol:268

      _raidKey hashes (attacker, target, campId, day, arrival), so each attacker may land 3 raids per target per day. The brief says '3 raids per target per day' and, for wild camps, '3 raids a day'. That can also be read as a cap on the target across all attackers. test/WarInvariants.t.sol checks the per-(attacker, target, day) reading and it holds.

      If the limit is meant per target, a target can be raided 3 x N times a day by N attackers, and a camp's stock can be drained by many raiders on the same day.

      With three villages A, B, C outside any clan and target D's shield expired, A, B and C each send 3 raids to D on day d and all 9 resolve as battles (none cancelled).

      Expected under the per-target reading: raids 4 to 9 are rejected at send or cancelled on arrival.

      Actual: all 9 are accepted, because each attacker has its own key.

  8. Audit judgeAgent #1842found 3 medium, 3 low, 2 info

    The review is complete. The findings file is written and verified, and git shows no tracked changes beyond the findings file and my scratch tests, which are both permitted outputs.

    Outcome. I kept 8 of the 14 specialist findings after merging duplicates and reproducing each against the code. Three are medium and carry a Foundry proof that fails on the current tree. No critical or high defects exist: the game holds no funds, and nothing moves SEED or resources between villages except loot.

    Findings written to .imd-findings.json

    1. Medium, Army._losses rounding. Per-stack ceiling kills one unit of every nonempty defending stack on any nonzero attack. A single Spearman worth 180 destroys a lone Charger and Catapult worth 1,440 and farms attack points. The attached specialist proof fails as stated.
    2. Medium, open clan membership. Any Clan Hall 1 village joins any clan uninvited, which cancels the clan's in-flight raids at arrival and grants immunity nobody can revoke. The founder cannot kick or leave. I merged the economics and permissions reports and the separate founder-lock finding into this one root cause. I rewrote the proof so it passes with any consent-based admission fix rather than demanding one specific revert.
    3. Medium, Core counter decrease. A lower cumulativeWork reading reverts every checkpoint and every new founding, and a same-address repoint does not rebaseline. Four specialists reported this. My own proof shows the owner's only repair power leaves the ledger stuck.
    4. Low, peace shield. Buying it during a longer shield burns 4,000 SEED and consumes the cooldown with no effect.
    5. Low, README owner literal. README line 32 names a wallet absent from the brief. The accepted launch.json correctly uses $owner, so I downgraded this from the specialist's medium.
    6. Low, checkpoint timing. The raw Core delta between two permissionless calls drives the next day's Wheelhouse bonus and build factor. The code matches the brief's literal formula, so this is a formula weakness.
    7. Info, raid limit per pair. A documented interpretation of ambiguous wording.
    8. Info, Town Hall and Squeek stacking to -48.9%. The -30% bound holds for the Squeek component alone.

    Dropped or merged. Nothing failed to reproduce. The six remaining specialist entries were duplicates of findings 2, 3 and 7.

    Checks beyond the specialists. The live Sepolia Core returns the eight-word layout with cumulativeWork 84,732, so the dependency is compatible today. Runtime sizes are under the limit, the manifest is schema-valid with arguments in declaration order, and all five ABI exports exist. My own pass over the entry points found nothing further. One warning for whoever runs tests here: with via_ir, a cached block.timestamp local drifts after vm.warp, so use vm.getBlockTimestamp as the project's own tests do.

    Coverage. All 46 listed entry points are answered, plus rows for the manifest and the live dependency. Thirty-three hold, thirteen point to findings 1 through 4, none are unreached.

    • mediumPer-stack ceiling in Army._losses kills one unit of every defending stack on any nonzero attack, so a 180-value Spearman destroys lone Chargers/Catapults and farms attack pointssrc/Army.sol:485

      The brief's casualty rule is a fraction of the army: each side loses min(1, 0.5 x enemy/own). Army._losses applies that fraction to each of the seven unit stacks separately and rounds every stack UP with G.ceilDiv.

      Whenever enemy > 0 and a stack is nonempty, ceilDiv(units * enemy, own * 2) >= 1, so every nonempty stack loses at least one unit regardless of how small the fraction is. docs/ECONOMY.md documents 'rounded up per unit type', but at the boundary this contradicts the proportional rule by orders of magnitude: a defender holding 1,000 Shieldbearers plus one Charger and one Catapult (defense 70,150) attacked by one Spearman (attack 40) loses one Shieldbearer (220), the Charger (510) and the Catapult (930): 1,660 resource value for an attacker cost of 180, and the attacker is credited 1,660 attack points and 83 XP through armyRecord/_xp (src/Army.sol:569-570) while the defender gets 180.

      Every stationed support contingent is rounded up separately (line 551), so the same raid also kills one unit of each supporter's stacks. Field Medicine does not help: lost -= lost/10 is zero for lost = 1. Any wallet can found a village and each attacker/target pair allows 3 raids a day, so Sybil wallets can repeat this against every village that keeps small stacks of expensive units.

      Reported by audit_math; reproduced by running its proof. Minimal fix preserving the design: round casualties on the whole army (floor per stack and round up only the aggregate, or carry remainders by value) so that a 0.03% casualty rate cannot remove whole stacks.

      Expected per brief: Bob loses min(1, 0.5*40/70150) = 0.0285% of his army, i.e. at most one Shieldbearer and no Charger/Catapult.

      Actual: army.home(game,bob) = [0,0,999,0,0,0,0], report.defenderLostValue = 1,660, attacker credited 1,660 attack points. forge test --match-path test/scratch/LossRounding.t.sol fails: 'lone Charger should survive a 40-point raid: 0 != 1'.

    • mediumAny village with Clan Hall 1 joins any clan uninvited; joining the attacker's clan cancels in-flight raids and grants immunity the clan cannot revoke, while the founder can neither remove members nor src/Clans.sol:103

      Clans.join (reached through Villages.joinClan) checks only Clan Hall >= 1, no current membership, and a free slot in an existing clan. There is no invitation, approval, cooldown or removal: no function removes another member (ECONOMY.md: 'no kicks'), and Clans.leave line 115 (require(c.founder != player || c.members.length == 1, "Founder leaves last");) forbids the founder from leaving while any member remains.

      Because Army.send line 295 refuses raids/scouts between clanmates and Army.resolve line 362 (protected_ = block.timestamp < d.shieldUntil || clans.sameClan(game, m.owner, m.target);) re-checks the clan at arrival and cancels the battle, clan membership is an attack-immunity relation that any player can impose unilaterally on every clan with a free slot (a fresh clan starts with capacity >= 9).

      A target that sees an incoming raid joins the attacker's clan before arrival: the raid resolves cancelled (troops walk home, the day's departure raid counter is consumed), no member of that clan can raid or scout the joiner afterwards, the founder cannot leave to escape it, and the joiner may leave and repeat at will.

      Sybil wallets can also fill a clan to capacity (max 30) and fill a member's 30 support slots with one-scout 'support' so real allies are turned back at arrival (src/Army.sol:351). A dissolved clan's name stays reserved forever (Clans.found never clears w.names). Merged from audit_economics and audit_permissions (open join) and audit_permissions (founder cannot leave): one root cause, the clan has no control over its membership.

      The brief says 'Clan Hall 1 joins, 3 founds; no attacks inside'; it does not say a non-member can impose that relation on a clan, and the builder documented open joining as an interpretation. Fix is a scope decision that keeps the design: founder-approved admission (invite/accept) and/or a founder-only remove(member) reached through a Villages entry point; the attached proof passes with any consent-based admission and does not require a specific revert.

      State: Alice (TH 4, Clan Hall 3, Barracks, 8 Spearmen) founds clan 'Hamsters' (capacity 9).

      Bob (TH 4, Clan Hall 1) is not a member and unshielded.

      1. vm.prank(alice); game.send(bob, 0, [8,0,0,0,0,0,0], false, 1) -> movement 1 accepted.

      2. vm.prank(bob); game.joinClan(1) succeeds with no action by Alice; clans.sameClan(game, alice, bob) == true.

      3. warp to arriveAt; army.resolve(game, 1) -> report.cancelled == true, no battle.

      4. vm.prank(alice); game.send(bob, ...) reverts 'Target protected'; vm.prank(alice); game.leaveClan() reverts 'Founder leaves last'.

      Expected: a non-member cannot become Alice's clanmate without the clan's consent, so the raid is fought and Alice can still raid Bob.

      Actual: Bob self-grants immunity against every Hamsters member. forge test --match-path test/scratch/ClanJoinImmunity.t.sol fails: 'raid cancelled by uninvited join'.

    • mediumA decreased Core cumulativeWork bricks checkpoint() and every new Villages.found(); the owner's repoint does not rebaseline when the proposed Core is the current one, so recovery needs two 72 h repoinsrc/SeedLedger.sol:238

      _checkpoint line 136 reverts WorkDecreased whenever the live Core's cumulativeWork is below the stored lastCumulativeWork. register() lines 180-182 runs _checkpoint on any day without an observation and Villages.found calls register, so once the external counter has gone backwards (the approved Core on Sepolia is a 761-byte proxy, so an upgrade, reset or migration behind the same address is realistic) no wallet can found a village and no SEED/XP accrues for anyone until the counter climbs back above the old value.

      The only repair authority the brief grants is the 72 h repoint, but applyRepoint rebaselines only when pendingCore != core: proposing the same (core, squeek) pair, waiting 72 h and applying is a no-op and the game stays stuck. The owner must first repoint to some other address whose state() returns the 8-word layout (72 h), then back (another 72 h): at least six days with no founding or checkpoints, and after renounceOwnership() the state is unrecoverable.

      Already-recorded SEED stays claimable, so the impact is liveness of registration and of all future SEED/XP/Wheelhouse bonus, not loss of balances.

      Live check: the approved Core returns the eight-word layout with cumulativeWork 84,732 today, so the dependency is compatible now; the defect is the absence of an in-design recovery path. Merged from audit_math, audit_flow, audit_economics and audit_permissions (same root cause). Minimal fix keeping the design: rebaseline unconditionally in applyRepoint (lastCumulativeWork = _work(pendingCore)), or treat a lower reading as a zero-work day in _checkpoint.

      The attached proof passes with either.

      Deploy as README (SeedLedger(owner, core, nft), Villages wired).

      Alice founds at T0: baseline observation, lastCumulativeWork = 100000.

      Core.state() now returns cumulativeWork = 99000.

      Warp T0 + 1 day.

      Owner: proposeRepoint(core, nft) with the unchanged addresses; warp +72 h; applyRepoint() succeeds but lastCumulativeWork is still 100000.

      Then ledger.checkpoint() reverts WorkDecreased and vm.prank(carol); game.found('Carol') reverts WorkDecreased.

      Expected: after the owner's repoint the ledger is live again (checkpoint succeeds, Carol can found). forge test --match-path test/scratch/CoreDecreaseRepoint.t.sol fails: 'WorkDecreased()'.

    • lowtreasury(1) burns 4,000 SEED and starts the 3-day cooldown even when the existing shield already outlasts the 12-hour peace shieldsrc/Villages.sol:390

      The peace shield branch burns 4,000 SEED (line 387) and sets peaceUsedAt (line 388) unconditionally and only then extends shieldUntil if it is shorter than now + 12 h. During the 7-day founding shield, or a still-running earlier peace shield, the purchase changes nothing yet the SEED is gone and the once-per-3-days cooldown is consumed.

      Reported by audit_math; reproduced with test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol testPeaceShieldNoopStillCharges (passes on the current code, demonstrating the state).

      Minimal fix: require(v.shieldUntil < until, 'Shield already active') before burning.

      Found Alice at T0 (shieldUntil = T0 + 7 days).

      Two daily checkpoints with 15,000 work each, claimSeed: balance 4,500 SEED, still inside the founding shield.

      Alice calls treasury(1, 0).

      Expected: revert or no charge.

      Actual: seedBalance(alice) = 500 SEED, village.shieldUntil unchanged at T0 + 7 days, peaceUsedAt = now, and a second treasury(1, 0) reverts 'Peace cooldown'.

    • lowREADME instructs the manifest to resolve $owner to a literal wallet that appears nowhere in the approved brief; the accepted launch.json correctly uses $ownerREADME.md:32

      SeedLedger's owner holds the only privileged power (the 72 h repoint of the Core and NFT endpoints that decide every village's SEED, XP and Wheelhouse bonus). The approved brief (.imd/reads/workflow.md) names no owner wallet, and under the manifest rules an owner the brief does not state must be written as the symbolic $owner.

      README.md line 32 tells the manifest contributor that $owner 'resolves to the approved 0xd3e4...2ee', an address that occurs only in this README (grep of the tree and of workflow.md finds no other occurrence) and was introduced by a worker.

      The accepted launch.json writes "$owner" for SeedLedger's first argument, so the manifest itself is not defective and this is not blocking; the README line is a misleading operator instruction that a later contributor could copy as a static address. Reported by audit_permissions; recalibrated to low because the manifest in the tree does not follow it.

      Fix: replace the literal with '$owner is resolved by the service to the paying wallet or the request's named owner'.

      grep -rn d3e4d150 . --exclude-dir=lib --exclude-dir=.git prints only README.md:32; grep -n d3e4d150 .imd/reads/workflow.md prints nothing; launch.json contracts[1].constructorArgs[0] == "$owner".

      Expected: no deployment document names an owner wallet the brief does not state.

      Actual: README.md:32 does.

    • lowCheckpoint work is the raw Core delta between two permissionless calls, so one short gap sets a near-zero Wheelhouse bonus and build work factor for every village for the whole next daysrc/SeedLedger.sol:142

      _checkpoint records as the day's work whatever the Core accrued since the previous call, regardless of how long ago that was, and lastWork()/the observation's work then drive the Wheelhouse bonus of every village (lines 146-147 and 172 integrate _bonus(previous.work, l) over wall-clock time) and the Squeek build work factor (GameRules.buildDuration via ledger.lastWork() at src/Villages.sol:294) until the next observation.

      If one day's checkpoint lands late (say 03:59, the last minute of the game day) and the next is taken at 04:00:00, the second observation holds about one minute of work: for the following 24 h every Wheelhouse yields almost nothing and no build gets a Squeek reduction, while the earlier 2-day delta is also capped to 150 checkpoint XP instead of 300. SEED (work/10) is conserved.

      The code implements the brief's literal formula ('work = cumulativeWork - last'), and no caller can force the previous checkpoint to be late, so the lever is limited to being the first caller after a late day; it is a formula weakness rather than a permission bypass. Reported by audit_permissions; reproduced with test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol testCheckpointTimingCollapsesWork.

      Mitigation keeping the permissionless role: normalise work to a 24 h rate (work * 1 days / (timestamp - previous.timestamp)) for the bonus and work factor.

      Ledger with Core accruing 11,000 work per day.

      Checkpoint day D at 04:00 (work 11,000; lastWork() == 11000; L10 Wheelhouse bonus 2.5).

      Nobody checkpoints day D+1 until 03:59:00 of its last minute (Core +21,992); then a checkpoint at 04:00:00 of day D+2 records work = 8. lastWork() == 8; wheelIntegral(10, t0 + 1 day) - wheelIntegral(10, t0) == 8e6/4320 * 86400 = 159,926,400 (bonus 0.0019 instead of 2.5); rules.buildDuration(10000, 1, 32, 8) == 9998 (no Squeek reduction).

      Expected: the same hamster work gives the same daily bonus; actual: the bonus and work factor for the next day collapse.

    • infoThe 3-raids-a-day limit is enforced per attacker/target pair, not per target, so a target can be raided 3 x N times a day by N walletssrc/Army.sol:268

      _raidKey hashes (attacker, target, campId, day, arrival), so the counter at Army.send line 300 and Army.resolve line 366 is per ordered pair. The brief says '3 raids per target per day' and, for camps, '3 raids a day'; that wording can be read either as 'each attacker may raid each target 3 times' (the builder's documented interpretation, README and ECONOMY.md) or as a cap on the target across all attackers.

      Since any wallet can found one village, N attackers (or N alt wallets each needing only a Barracks and a few Spearmen) can land 3N decisive raids on one target in a game day, and a camp's stock can be drained by many raiders. Reported by audit_economics and write_foundry_tests; merged. Reproduced with test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol testRaidLimitPerPair.

      Kept as information because the implemented reading is a reasonable one of the approved wording and is documented; the requester should confirm which reading was meant.

      Alice and Carol each have 4 Spearmen; Bob is unshielded.

      Alice sends raids to Bob three times (ok), Carol three times the same day (ok), a fourth by Alice reverts 'Daily raid limit'; army.movementCount(game) == 6.

      Expected under the per-target reading: Bob is raided at most 3 times that day.

      Actual: 6, and 3 more per further wallet.

    • infoTown Hall and Squeek build-time reductions multiply to -48.9%; the '-30%' bound holds only for the Squeek componentsrc/GameRules.sol:129

      buildDuration caps the Squeek reduction at 30% (300_000 * (1 - 0.5^n) * workFactor) and multiplies it by the Town Hall factor (1 - 0.03(TH-1)), so at TH 10 with 32 Squeeks and full work the total reduction is 1 - 0.73 x 0.70 = 48.9%.

      The brief lists 'build times x (1 - 0.03(TH-1))' as a separate global multiplier and the Squeek rule as 'build time x (1 - 0.30(1 - 0.5^n) x ...)', so 'build speed never passes -30%' most naturally bounds the Squeek component, which the code and the project's tests honour. Reported by write_foundry_tests; reproduced by evaluating the formula.

      Information only: if the requester meant the total, the bound is not met.

      rules.buildDuration(10000, 10, 32, 11000) returns 5110 (total -48.9%); rules.buildDuration(10000, 10, 0, 11000) returns 7300 (Town Hall alone); 5110/7300 = 0.70, so the Squeek part alone is exactly -30%.

      Expected if -30% bounds the total: >= 7000.

      Actual: 5110.

  9. Build contract projectAgent #7414 files changed

    All three medium findings reproduced and are fixed, but one of the three proof tests still fails, on a line I've disputed. If the reviewer doesn't accept that dispute, the verifier will reject the result.

    forge build and forge fmt --check pass. forge test with the verifier's seed passes all 87 project tests, including the invariant group and six fuzz tests. ABIs are regenerated and match the build. Army's runtime is 23,644 bytes, under the 24,576 limit.

    Fixed:

    • Casualties killing whole small stacks (src/Army.sol): each unit type now loses its rounded-down share, and the army's total is rounded up once. The extra units come from the types with the largest leftover fractions. In the reviewer's example the raid now kills one Shieldbearer, and the lone Charger and Catapult survive. Its proof passes, and the existing single-stack fuzz test still matches exactly.
    • Joining a clan uninvited (src/Clans.sol, src/Villages.sol): joining now needs an invitation from the clan's founder, through the new Villages.inviteToClan(wallet, open); passing false withdraws it. An invitation is used up on joining, so a member who leaves needs a new one. A raid target can no longer join the attacker's clan to cancel the raid.
    • Ledger stuck after the Core counter goes backwards (src/SeedLedger.sol): one 72-hour repoint to the same Core now resets the baseline when the counter reads lower, so checkpoints and founding work again. If the counter went up instead, the baseline stays and earned work isn't lost. Its proof passes.
    • Peace shield charging for nothing (advisory): the purchase is now refused, with no SEED burned and no cooldown, while a longer shield is running.
    • README owner line (advisory): the README no longer names a wallet address; it tells the manifest step to write $owner.

    Disputed:

    • The clan proof's last line. It sends the same 8 Spearmen at Bob a second time. That first raid isn't decisive (attack 320 against defense 212), and by the brief's rule "each side loses min(1, 0.5 × enemy/own)" Alice loses 3 Spearmen. Only 5 come home, so the second send fails with "Insufficient troops". The original code loses the same 3. Everything the proof is actually checking now passes: the raid is fought, and with her 5 survivors Alice can raid Bob again.
    • Three other advisories, left as they were: the checkpoint timing gap follows the brief's formula, raid limits stay per attacker and target as documented, and the 30% cap applies to the Squeek reduction only. Each has its reasoning in the responses file.

    I added tests for each fix and updated README, ECONOMY.md, ABI.md and VALIDATION.md. My answers to all eight findings are in .imd-responses.json.

  10. ManifestAgent #17671 file changed

    I updated launch.json. Since my last round, accepted work changed the source of Army, Clans, SeedLedger and Villages. None of those changes touched a constructor, so the contract list, their order and every constructor argument are still correct and stay as they were:

    #ContractConstructor args
    1GameRulesnone (it has no constructor)
    2SeedLedger$owner, SqueekCore 0x980b…3d44, Squeek ERC-721 0xcb98…b70f
    3Clansnone
    4Army$contract:GameRules, $contract:SeedLedger, $contract:Clans
    5Villages$contract:GameRules, $contract:SeedLedger, $contract:Clans, $contract:Army

    Only change: one phrase in notes. "Clans tracks membership and ranking counters" now reads "Clans tracks founder-invited membership, support eligibility and ranking counters", to match the clan invitations added in the new Clans source. It's the only line in the diff.

    Checks:

    • The file has only kind, contracts and notes. Notes are 990 characters, contract names are unique, and every reference points to an earlier contract.
    • SeedLedger is the only contract with an owner, and that owner is $owner. No contract takes msg.sender or tx.origin as owner.
    • forge test with the required fuzz seed: all 87 tests passed.
    • I also ran a throwaway test that deploys the five contracts in manifest order, from an address standing in for the factory. Every constructor succeeded, and SeedLedger's owner came out as the launch owner 0xd3e4…b2ee.

    The change is in the working tree and not committed, since you didn't ask for a commit.

  11. Write foundry testsAgent #6412 files changed

    I updated my test suite for the revised implementation. forge test now passes with the verifier's fuzz seed: all 118 tests across 15 suites, including both invariant suites.

    What broke. After my last round, the implementation changed in two ways that broke 3 of my tests:

    • Clans are now invite-only. WarInvariantTest's setup and testJoinMissingOrFullClan failed with "Not invited".
    • A peace shield can't be bought while a longer shield is still running. testTreasuryRejectionsAndExactSeedBurns expected an insufficient-SEED error, but now gets "Shield already active" first.

    What I changed. Only test/EdgeCases.t.sol and test/WarInvariants.t.sol; the rest of last round's accepted tests are untouched.

    • Treasury test: a peace shield bought during the 7-day founding shield is now refused without spending SEED. Once that shield expires, the old insufficient-SEED failure is checked again.
    • Clan join test: now covers every rejection on the join path:
      • joining without an invitation is refused;
      • only the founder can invite, and inviting the zero address is refused;
      • a cancelled invitation doesn't let anyone in;
      • an invitation is used up when the player joins;
      • after leaving, a player needs a fresh invitation to rejoin.
    • New test, testPeaceShieldExtendsOnlyAnExpiredOrShorterShieldAndRespectsCooldown: a shield costs exactly 4,000 SEED and lasts 12 hours. A second purchase is refused at 1 second short of the 3-day cooldown and goes through at exactly 3 days, and the SEED burned is checked.
    • War invariants: setup now invites Bob before he joins. I added a random-call step where either the founder or a non-founder tries to invite or cancel an invitation. The join/leave step now flags any join that succeeds without an invitation, or that leaves the invitation unused. In the run, both steps were called about 190 times with no violations.

    The other change, rounding troop losses once per army instead of once per unit type, passed my existing tests without edits.

    I found no new defects, so I didn't write .imd-findings.json.

  12. Audit judgeAgent #541found nothing

    This round I have no findings to report. All three medium findings are fixed, and I'm not raising anything new. .imd-findings.json has "findings": [] and a coverage record that marks all 48 entry points as holds. I made no changes to the code, and I deleted the scratch tests after running them.

    Medium findings:

    • 8d8e2e0a (casualties rounded up per unit stack): fixed. The math audit's copy of the same proof (Proof_e5e2bdd8457f) also passes. Army._casualties (src/Army.sol:506) now rounds down for each unit type and rounds up only once, for the army as a whole, giving the leftover units to the types with the largest remainders. Each type loses at most one unit more than its rounded-down share, and nothing underflows. In the proof's scenario the defender now loses one Shieldbearer, and the Charger and Catapult survive.
    • 91744504 (anyone can join any clan uninvited): fixed, and the author is right about the proof. Joining now needs an invitation, which is used up on joining (src/Clans.sol:111-112). Only the clan's founder can invite (Clans.invite, reached through Villages.inviteToClan). The original proof still fails, but only on its last line, with "Insufficient troops": the raid is fought and Alice loses 3 of her 8 Spearmen, as the brief's casualty rule requires. I ran a copy that sends the 5 survivors instead, and it passes: the raid is not cancelled, attack is 320, Alice and Bob are not clanmates, and the follow-up raid departs. The permissions audit's version of this proof (Proof_336b4e4bd641) passes as it is. Invitations to a dissolved clan can't be used, because joining requires a live founder and clan ids are never reused.
    • 4ee335fe (a lower Core work counter blocks checkpoints and founding): fixed. The proof passes. applyRepoint (src/SeedLedger.sol:240) now resets the baseline when the Core address changes or when the live counter is below the stored one. Recovery therefore takes one 72-hour repoint, and work not yet checkpointed is kept when the counter only rose.

    Advisory findings:

    • Peace shield charging while a longer shield runs: fixed. Villages.treasury now checks the shield before burning SEED, and refuses with "Shield already active".

    • README naming an owner wallet: fixed. README.md no longer names a literal wallet and says to write $owner. launch.json uses $owner for SeedLedger and lists five contracts in dependency order, with only the schema's three keys.

    • Disputed items, dropped:

      • checkpoint timing setting the next day's bonus;
      • the raid limit counting per attacker and target;
      • the 30% build-speed cap applying only to the Squeek reduction.

      The author's answers hold: each follows the brief's wording or a reading the project already documents. Changing them is the requester's decision, not a defect fix, so I'm not reporting them again.

    Checks:

    • The full project test suite passes. It now includes the author's new tests for clans, casualty rounding, the repoint and the peace shield.

    • Sizes are within the deployment limits:

      ContractDeployed size (limit 24,576)Creation code (limit 49,152)
      Army23,644 bytes24,132 bytes
      Villages20,583 bytes21,231 bytes
    • I traced the Slither leads in the changed code and none of them is a defect. The "uninitialized" variables in _casualties are memory or local variables that start at zero. The "reentrancy" calls only go to the project's own contracts or are read-only calls.
