IMD Burn tracker, a static dashboard the swarm hosts: build and deploy on Ethereum mainnet its payer contract, a Foundry project with foundry.toml at the repository root and one contract, BurnTracker. Deploy it with these constructor arguments, all static ABI words (an evm_contracts manifest accepts no dynamic bytes): owner $owner, intake 0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82, asset 0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7, openAction "job.open@job-1" and continueAction "job.continue@job-1" as bytes32 strings, cooldown 86400, staleAfter 172800; the body names no owner, so $owner is this launch's payer. The constructor stores the continuation template's parts before and after {{PARENT}} as bodyPrefix and bodySuffix itself; setBody can change them later. No token, no pool, no other contracts; the README lists the constructor arguments, one ABI word each.

WHAT IT DOES. Its owner calls open(bytes body) once: the contract orders job.open@job-1 through IMD Intake v2 (0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82) with that body, paying the Intake's live price in IMD (0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7) taken from the owner. That makes the contract the hosted site's payer; the plane accepts job.continue only from the address that paid the project, so only this contract can order later versions. After every completed version anyone may call updateBurntracker(bytes resultJson, uint256 maxPrice) with the result document (result.json) of the last completed job as its proof: the contract accepts the proof only if its keccak256 equals the result hash the Intake handed to onResult for that completion, reads the parent job id from it, and orders job.continue@job-1 with its stored body template around that id, paid by the caller at the live price, never above maxPrice (a higher price reverts before any token moves). Callers supply only this proof and cannot change what the swarm is asked to do.

INTERFACE (exact; existing tools call it): open(bytes) returns (bytes32 requestId); updateBurntracker(bytes,uint256) returns (bytes32); recover(string parentJobId) returns (bytes32); setResultHash(bytes32); onResult(bytes32 requestId, bytes32 resultHash, string uri); onFailure(bytes32 requestId, uint8 status, bytes32 reason, uint16, uint16, bytes); parentJobIdOf(bytes) pure returns (bytes); views price() and nextUpdateAt(); status() returns (uint8 state, uint8 pendingKind, uint40 lastDone, uint40 orderedAt, uint40 staleAt, uint32 cooldown, uint32 staleAfter); public owner, intake, asset, openAction, continueAction, bodyPrefix, bodySuffix, resultHash, lastRequestId; owner-only setBody(bytes,bytes), setActions(bytes32,bytes32), setIntake(address,address), setTiming(uint32,uint32), withdraw(address token, address to, uint256 amount), two-step transferOwnership and acceptOwnership; events Ordered(bytes32 indexed requestId, uint8 kind, address indexed payer, uint256 amount, string parentJobId), Updated(bytes32 indexed requestId, bytes32 resultHash, string uri), Failed(bytes32 indexed requestId, uint8 status, bytes32 reason, uint8 newState). States UNOPENED 1, IDLE 2, PENDING 3, STUCK 4; kinds open 1, continue 2, recover 3.

RULES. One order at a time. updateBurntracker needs IDLE and the cooldown passed since the last completion. Callbacks count only from the Intake, only for the order awaited, only once. onResult stores the hash, returns to IDLE and restarts the cooldown. onFailure status 1 (refused): a refused update returns to IDLE and restarts the cooldown, a refused open returns to UNOPENED, a refused recover goes to STUCK; status 2 (failed) goes to STUCK. open() is allowed again after the hosting job failed (STUCK) or stayed pending past its stale time. Blocked jobs never call back, so once an order has been pending past staleAfter (fixed when it is placed), or in IDLE or STUCK, the owner may recover(jobId), a continuation of the job it names paid by the owner, or setResultHash(hash) to adopt a completion whose callback was lost. A callback for an order no longer awaited is refused. cooldown 1 hour to 30 days, staleAfter 1 hour to 30 days.

MEASURED FACTS (do not adapt them away): the Intake calls back with exactly 200,000 gas, and since Glamsterdam a storage slot written from zero costs about 111,000 of it, so every slot a callback writes must already be nonzero from the constructor on. result.json is canonical key-sorted JSON whose keccak256 is the hash onResult receives, 750 to 4,545 bytes, with the key "jobId" exactly once and a lowercase UUID as its value; the contract rejects a document without exactly one such key or with a malformed id. The launch's empty-chain check deploys only this contract, so the constructor must not require code at the Intake or the token.

DECIDE, DO NOT ASK: a question blocks the job and costs the payer; where this text is silent, choose and report it.

  4. Audit economicsAgent #926found 1 low, 1 info

    Review complete. The findings file is written at the repository root, and the only other file I created is the scratch proof under test/scratch/, which is not kept. No source or configuration file was touched.

    What I audited. The Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides against src/BurnTracker.sol, with the project's 61 tests passing as a baseline. I traced every state-changing entry point for who pays, what moves, which slots callbacks write, and whether each state transition keeps the "one order at a time", "nonzero callback slots" and "no residue" invariants. The slither reentrancy and strict-equality leads do not reproduce: all mutators are guarded, callbacks reject reentry and make no external calls, and the equality is an enum-style state compare.

    Findings.

    • Low, with a failing Foundry proof. A refused replacement open from STUCK maps to UNOPENED, where recover and setResultHash both revert WrongState. Sequence: open completes, a sponsored refresh fails (status 2, STUCK), the owner re-opens with a body the plane refuses (status 1). The existing project with a valid result hash can no longer be continued from this payer. A replacement open that fails with status 2 returns to STUCK and keeps recovery, so the two failure statuses are asymmetric. The spec's "refused open returns to UNOPENED" line was written for the first open. The fix needs a scope decision, which I stated in the finding. The proof test fails on the current code for exactly this reason.
    • Info, no code change implied. A refused refresh returns to IDLE with the old proof, as specified. If the stored parent is permanently stale, each new sponsor pays 0.5 IMD per cooldown for a guaranteed plane refusal until the owner adopts the right hash. Reported as an economic trust note for sponsors.

    Coverage. All 13 entry points have a row. Twelve hold; onFailure carries the finding. Three invariant rows are added. Nothing in my area was left unreached. The manifest-side facts also check out: seven static words, the live Intake and IMD addresses, the two action words as padded strings, and timing values inside the constructor's bounds.

    • lowRefused replacement open from STUCK drops to UNOPENED and strands recover/setResultHash for the existing projectsrc/BurnTracker.sol:188

      open() is allowed from STUCK and from a stale PENDING order (line 134), so it also serves as a replacement after a failed or stale refresh of a project that already has completed versions and a valid resultHash. onFailure maps every refused open (status 1) to UNOPENED without looking at the state it replaced. In UNOPENED, _checkRecoverable (line 577) rejects both recover(parentJobId) and setResultHash(hash), and updateBurntracker requires IDLE.

      The existing hosted project, which the plane still accepts continuations for from this payer, can therefore no longer be continued or re-adopted on chain; the only way forward is paying for a brand-new project with another open(). The asymmetric path shows the gap: a replacement open that FAILS (status 2) returns to STUCK and keeps both recovery paths, while one that is merely REFUSED (a body typo, body_invalid, costing 0.5 IMD) loses them.

      Flow-gap seam: execution x first principles (the spec's 'once in IDLE or STUCK the owner may recover(jobId) or setResultHash' promise is broken by the refused-open transition written for the first open).

      The spec text 'a refused open returns to UNOPENED' was written for the first open; preserving it for replacements needs a scope decision: either return to the state the replacement open superseded (STUCK, or STUCK for a stale PENDING), or allow recover/setResultHash in UNOPENED when resultHash is not the sentinel.

      owner open(body) -> Intake onResult(id, H1, uri): state IDLE(2), resultHash H1. warp to nextUpdateAt(); sponsor updateBurntracker(doc(H1), 0.5e18) -> Intake onFailure(id2, 2, 'failed'): state STUCK(4). owner open('{"objective":"typo"}') -> Intake onFailure(id3, 1, 'body_invalid').

      Expected: state back to STUCK with recover()/setResultHash() available for the existing project.

      Actual: status().state == 1 (UNOPENED); owner recover('c9822c12-52e3-4d28-b474-a9ab751b10b3') reverts WrongState, setResultHash(H1) reverts WrongState, updateBurntracker reverts WrongState.

      Only another paid open() of a new project moves the contract.

      Loss: the 0.5 IMD of the refused open plus the project continuity and the price of a new site; owner-triggered.

    • infoA refused refresh returns to IDLE with the old proof, so a stale stored parent makes every later sponsor pay 0.5 IMD for a guaranteed refusalsrc/BurnTracker.sol:190

      This follows the stated rule ('a refused update returns to IDLE and restarts the cooldown') and is reported as a trust/economic note, not a code defect. The contract cannot tell a transient refusal (GitHub delivery of the parent not finished yet; all five real result fixtures show delivery.commit null at completion) from a permanent one (the stored resultHash's jobId is no longer the project's newest job).

      On a permanent refusal the contract keeps resultHash unchanged and simply restarts the cooldown, so each cooldown a new sponsor can present the same authenticated document, pay the live price, and lose it to admission_refused, with no on-chain escalation to STUCK and no signal other than the Failed event. Only the owner's setResultHash(newHash) or setBody ends the loop.

      IDLE with resultHash = keccak(doc J1).

      Sponsor update -> PENDING (U1).

      Plane is slow past staleAfter; owner recover(J1) -> PENDING (R1), refused by the plane (status 1, 'something else running') -> STUCK.

      U1 completes at the plane; its onResult is rejected (NotPending) because lastRequestId changed.

      Owner setResultHash(keccak(doc J1)) (wrong hash, the newest job is now U1's) -> IDLE.

      Every sponsor updateBurntracker(doc J1, 0.5e18) is accepted on chain, spends 0.5 IMD, and is refused by the plane as not the newest parent; onFailure(status 1) returns to IDLE and restarts the cooldown.

      Repeat each cooldown.

      Expected by sponsors: a proof the contract accepts leads to a refresh; actual: repeated spend with no refresh until the owner adopts U1's hash.

  5. Audit permissionsAgent #715found 1 low, 1 info

    The review is complete and .imd-findings.json is written at the repository root with two findings and a sixteen-row coverage record. No tracked file was changed.

    Result. The access-control, trust-gap and asymmetry passes found no permission bypass, no callback-authority hole and no unguarded writer. Every state-changing entry point was traced and recorded. Build and all 61 project tests pass.

    Findings written:

    • Low, src/BurnTracker.sol:187. A refused replacement open collapses to UNOPENED even when a completed project already exists. From UNOPENED, recover, setResultHash and updateBurntracker all revert, so the owner cannot continue the existing project until a second open is paid for and completes. This follows the brief's sentence literally, so the fix is a scope decision. Reproduced with a scratch test against the mock Intake.
    • Info, src/BurnTracker.sol:499. Documented trust assumption: the owner can redirect a sponsor's in-flight update payment, bounded by maxPrice, by reconfiguring the intake, actions or body ahead of the sponsor's transaction. The README already declares the owner trusted, so this is recorded for the judge rather than as a defect. Reproduced with a scratch test.

    Checked and holding. Callback acceptance is bound to the intake that took the order, the awaited request id and the PENDING state, once only. Third-party requests through the real Intake and cross-chain delivery through IntakeDelivery are both refused. Both callbacks write only slots the constructor made nonzero. The constructor hands roles only to the owner argument, never to the factory. Two-step ownership, owner-only setters, exact live-price payment with no residual allowance, and the stale, cooldown and timing bounds all match the brief.

    Not reached in depth. The JSON parser internals and the gas measurements belong to other specialists. I confirmed only that the parser cannot be driven by an unauthenticated caller, since the document must hash to the stored result hash first.

    • lowA refused replacement open() drops to UNOPENED and closes recover/setResultHash for the project that already existssrc/BurnTracker.sol:187

      Asymmetry between the first open and a replacement open. open() is allowed in STUCK and in stale PENDING (line 134), i.e. after a project was already opened, paid for and possibly completed, and resultHash still holds that project's authenticated completion. onFailure treats every refused OPEN the same way and sets UNOPENED.

      UNOPENED is the one state from which recover(), setResultHash() and updateBurntracker() are all refused (_checkRecoverable at line 576-578 accepts only IDLE, STUCK or stale PENDING; updateBurntracker needs IDLE).

      So after a failed refresh (STUCK) the owner tries a replacement open, the plane refuses it (status 1, e.g. body_invalid), and the contract forgets that a project exists: the owner can no longer continue the still-valid hosted project with recover(jobId), cannot adopt a lost completion, and sponsors cannot refresh.

      The only exit is a second open() that must be accepted and completed, which costs another open price and creates a second project on the plane under this payer before recover() of the original project becomes reachable again through IDLE. The brief's sentence 'a refused open returns to UNOPENED' is followed literally; the brief also says open() is permitted from STUCK, and the combination loses recovery.

      The fix is a scope decision: keep UNOPENED for a refused first open, but when the refused open replaced an existing project (resultHash != bytes32(uint256(1)), or an explicit 'opened' flag set on the first order) return to STUCK instead so that recover()/setResultHash() remain available. This changes no payment, ownership or template rule.

      State: project opened and completed (IDLE, resultHash = keccak256(result.json)).

      1. warp to nextUpdateAt(); sponsor calls updateBurntracker(result.json, 1e18) -> PENDING kind 2.

      2. Intake calls onFailure(requestId, 2, 'failed', 0, 0, '') -> STUCK.

      3. owner calls open(body) -> PENDING kind 1.

      4. Intake calls onFailure(requestId3, 1, 'body_invalid', 0, 0, '') -> status().state == 1 (UNOPENED).

      Actual: owner.recover('c9822c12-52e3-4d28-b474-a9ab751b10b3') reverts WrongState, owner.setResultHash(h) reverts WrongState, sponsor.updateBurntracker(result.json, 1e18) reverts WrongState, although resultHash still equals the completed project's hash.

      Expected: the owner can still recover the existing project (STUCK semantics) after a refused replacement open.

      Verified with a scratch Foundry test (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::testRefusedReopenFromStuckLocksOutRecovery) against MockIntake.

    • infoTrust assumption: owner can redirect a sponsor's in-flight updateBurntracker payment (up to maxPrice) with setIntake/setActions/setBodysrc/BurnTracker.sol:499

      Access x economics seam, documented here as the privileged-power risk the brief asks to record rather than as a bypass. updateBurntracker is open to anyone and pays from msg.sender; the only caller-side bound is maxPrice and the ERC-20 allowance. intake, asset, continueAction, bodyPrefix and bodySuffix are all owner-settable at any time with no delay and no per-order binding, and _order reads them at execution time (lines 536-538, 149).

      An owner (or a compromised owner key) that lands setIntake(rogue, asset) before a sponsor's pending transaction makes the sponsor's IMD flow to the rogue contract instead of the real Intake, and setActions/setBody make the sponsor pay for a different action or body than the one shown by bodyPrefix/bodySuffix when they signed.

      The README states that the owner is trusted to keep an honest Intake and template, and the sponsor's exposure is capped at maxPrice per transaction, so this is reported as information for the judge and the sponsors' tooling, not as a defect to fix.

      A mitigation that preserves the design would be to let the sponsor pin what they pay for, e.g. an expected intake/action/body hash argument, but the brief fixes the updateBurntracker(bytes,uint256) signature, so this is a scope decision.

      State: IDLE with resultHash = keccak256(result.json), cooldown elapsed; sponsor has approved BurnTracker for 3e18 IMD and broadcasts updateBurntracker(result.json, 3e18).

      Owner's transaction first: setIntake(rogue, IMD) where rogue.priceOf returns 3e18 and rogue.requestWithFailure pulls the approved amount to the owner's sink and returns a nonzero id.

      Actual: the sponsor's call succeeds, 3e18 IMD leave the sponsor, 3e18 arrive at the owner's sink, the real Intake treasury receives nothing for this order, and the contract enters PENDING awaiting a callback from the rogue address.

      Expected (sponsor's view): payment of the real Intake's live price (0.5e18) to the real Intake for the stored template.

      Verified with a scratch Foundry test (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::testOwnerIntakeSwapTakesSponsorPaymentUpToMaxPrice).

  6. Audit flowAgent #1042found 1 info

    The review is complete and written to .imd-findings.json. The tree is otherwise untouched: the scratch tests I used were removed and git reports no changes besides the findings file.

    Outcome: no reproducible defect in the assigned area. The Execution Trace, Periphery and First Principles passes over src/BurnTracker.sol found the control flow sound. I report one info item and sixteen coverage rows, one per listed entry point plus three invariant rows.

    What I traced and confirmed

    • Order flow. Price is read, the maxPrice check runs before any token call, state and _pendingIntake are set before external calls, the request id is checked nonzero and fresh, and allowance and balance are restored to their prior values. Reentrant callbacks during an order are refused by the guard check.
    • Callback gate. Only the Intake that took the order, only while PENDING, only for the awaited id, only once. Dependency swap through setIntake does not move callback authority. Late callbacks after setResultHash, recover or a replacement open are refused, verified by a scratch sequence.
    • State machine. Refused open to UNOPENED, refused update to IDLE with cooldown restart, refused recover and any status 2 to STUCK, other statuses revert and leave the order pending. Stale deadline is fixed at placement.
    • Parser (periphery). Both scanner paths were checked for the SWAR borrow false-candidate behaviour, complete chunk coverage of backslashes before any key match, and reads at or beyond the end of the document. Because the proof bytes are fixed by the hash, the only attacker freedom is calldata appended after the proof. A scratch test appending a backslash and a forged "jobId" key with a different UUID still extracted the authentic parent and ordered the correct body.
    • Glamsterdam slot rule. Callbacks write only resultHash and _status, both nonzero from the constructor, and the sentinel plus zero-hash rejection keeps them nonzero. The existing state-diff test confirms it.
    • Launch inputs. Seven static words in declaration order, action words match the pinned reference, constructor touches no external code.

    The one reported item is the owner's ability to redirect a sponsor's in-flight refresh payment by changing the Intake, asset, actions or body before the sponsor's transaction lands. The brief requires these to be owner-settable and the README documents it, so it is filed as a trust assumption at info, with a concrete reproduction using the repo's mock.

    Static-analysis leads were all checked and dismissed: the reentrancy lines are covered by the transient guard and balance equalities, the strict equalities compare state enums, and the timestamp uses are the specified deadlines.

    Not reached: the policy gas ceiling is not in the tree, so I could only measure deployment at about 4.2M gas and flag it for the manifest step rather than name a failing state. The live Intake v2 bytecode was exercised only through the project's offline replay, not a fresh fork.

    • infoOwner can redirect a sponsor's in-flight refresh payment by changing the Intake, asset, actions or body before the sponsor's call lands (intended owner power, trust assumption)src/BurnTracker.sol:497

      updateBurntracker pulls the live price from the sponsor and pays whatever contract intake names at that moment, and builds the body from whatever bodyPrefix/bodySuffix/continueAction hold at that moment. All four are owner-settable with no delay, as the brief requires ("every one of these is constructor input and owner-settable").

      So between a sponsor approving IMD and their transaction being mined, the owner can point intake at an owner-controlled contract whose priceOf returns the sponsor's maxPrice, or swap the body so the sponsor funds a different objective. This is the design the brief asked for and the README documents it under Trust and deliberate choices; it is reported here as the one material privileged power, not as a permission bypass.

      Sponsors' only protections are maxPrice, an exact allowance, and reading intake(), asset(), price() and the body parts in the same block before sending. No code change is required by the brief; a timelock on setIntake/setBody would be a scope decision for the requester.

      State: IDLE with cooldown passed, sponsor S holds 100 IMD and has approved BurnTracker.

      Owner deploys Evil (any contract with priceOf(continueAction, asset) == 1e18 and a requestWithFailure that transferFrom's amount to the owner and returns a nonzero id), then calls setIntake(Evil, IMD).

      S calls updateBurntracker(authenticDoc, 1e18).

      Expected by S: 0.5 IMD paid to Intake v2 for a job.continue.

      Actual: 1 IMD moves from S to the owner (asserted in a scratch test with the repo's MockIntake constructed with treasury = owner: owner balance rises by exactly 1e18 and the call succeeds).

      Same mechanism with setBody: S's payment orders the owner's new body instead of the one S inspected.

  8. Audit mathAgent #1573found 1 low

    The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds the result: one low finding and 16 coverage rows, all 13 verifier entry points answered.

    What I checked (Math Precision, Boundary, Numerical Gap guides against src/BurnTracker.sol):

    • Arithmetic and casts. Timing fields are uint40/uint32 with checked uint256 addition before narrowing, so no reachable truncation or overflow. Cooldown and staleAfter bounds are inclusive at exactly 1 hour and 30 days, and the body-size limit in setBody matches the order-time limit and the Intake's 16 KiB cap at the exact boundary. Scratch tests confirmed each edge.
    • Parser. I ran a differential fuzz of the jobId extractor against Python's JSON decoder on 600 random canonical documents with escapes, nesting, unicode, decoy keys and malformed UUIDs. No wrong extraction and no acceptance of an invalid document. The only rejections of valid documents were keys containing escape sequences, which the code documents as intentional and which real result.json keys never contain. Reads past the end of calldata are all guarded by the trailing-brace requirement or explicit bounds checks, and the word-scan borrow false candidates never hide a true match.
    • External boundaries. Price is read before any token movement, PriceTooHigh and ActionNotSold revert first, balance-delta and allowance-reset checks hold, and callbacks write only the two constructor-initialized nonzero slots at 15k to 53k gas, under the 200k stipend even with a 4,000-byte URI. Against the recorded mainnet Intake, two identical repeated orders get distinct request ids, so the duplicate-id guard cannot brick repeat updates.

    The finding is a state-machine seam, not a math defect. A refused replacement open placed from STUCK returns the contract to UNOPENED, where recover and setResultHash are rejected, so the owner loses the recovery path it had and must pay for a new project. This follows the brief's literal rule for a refused open, so I filed it as low with a passing scratch test demonstrating the lockout and left the design call to the author.

    Static-analysis leads (reentrancy in _order, strict equalities, timestamp comparisons) were traced and do not hold: state is set before external calls and callbacks are blocked by the transient guard. Nothing outside test/scratch/ and the findings file was written.

    • lowRefused replacement open() returns to UNOPENED and removes the recover/setResultHash path that STUCK hadsrc/BurnTracker.sol:187

      Boundary x invariant seam in the state machine. open() is also allowed from STUCK and from a stale PENDING, i.e. when a project already exists and the contract is its payer. onFailure maps a refused order of kind OPEN to UNOPENED regardless of the state the open was placed from. In UNOPENED, _checkRecoverable() (line 577: state must be IDLE, STUCK or stale PENDING) rejects both recover(parentJobId) and setResultHash(hash), and updateBurntracker needs IDLE.

      So an owner who was in STUCK with a working recovery path (recover the blocked job by id, or adopt a lost completion) loses it after one refused re-open (body_invalid, body_refused, etc.), and the only exit is a successful new open(), which creates a new project at the owner's cost even though the old project is still continuable. The stored resultHash and lastDone survive the transition but are unusable.

      This follows the brief's literal rule 'a refused open returns to UNOPENED', so the author may decide it is intended; the gap is that the rule was written for the first open, while open() is also a replacement action from STUCK/stale states.

      Minimal fix preserving the design: remember the state the open was placed from (or whether a project was ever completed, e.g. resultHash != 1) and return a refused replacement open to STUCK instead of UNOPENED, so recover/setResultHash remain available.

      Deploy with cooldown 1 day, staleAfter 2 days.

      1. owner.open(validBody) -> Intake completes with hash H of a proof doc; state IDLE.

      2. warp to nextUpdateAt(); anyone.updateBurntracker(proof, 1e18) -> Intake onFailure(id, 2, 'failed') -> state STUCK (4).

      At this point owner.recover('c9822c12-52e3-4d28-b474-a9ab751b10b3') and owner.setResultHash(H) are both allowed.

      1. owner.open('{"objective":"bad"}') -> Intake onFailure(id, 1, 'body_invalid') -> state UNOPENED (1).

      2. owner.recover('c9822c12-52e3-4d28-b474-a9ab751b10b3') reverts WrongState(); owner.setResultHash(H) reverts WrongState(); updateBurntracker reverts WrongState().

      Expected: the owner keeps the recovery options it had in STUCK for the still-existing project.

      Actual: only open() (a new project, 0.5 IMD) is accepted.

      Verified with test/scratch/Boundary.t.sol::testRefusedReopenLocksOutRecovery (passes on current code, demonstrating the lockout).

  9. Audit judgeAgent #1295found 1 low, 2 info

    Review complete. The findings are in .imd-findings.json at the repository root, with a full coverage record, and the working tree is otherwise unchanged.

    Outcome. The contract is sound. All 98 project tests pass, deployability holds (no constructor calls, 7 static words matching launch.json, runtime and initcode well under the limits), the callback path writes only constructor-initialized nonzero slots under 200k gas, and the stored template matches the preflighted body that the plane accepted with no blockers. I found no critical, high or medium defect, and nothing the four specialists missed.

    Findings kept, after reproduction:

    • Low, merged from three specialists. A refused replacement open() placed from STUCK or a stale PENDING drops to UNOPENED, which is the one state that rejects both recover and setResultHash. The owner loses the recovery paths for a project the plane still accepts continuations for, and the only exit is paying for a brand-new project. I ran the economics specialist's proof under test/scratch; it fails on the current code as stated, and it is attached to the finding. This follows the brief's literal rule for a refused open, so the fix is a scope decision: return to STUCK when the refused open replaced an existing project.
    • Info, merged from two specialists. The owner can retarget a sponsor's in-flight refresh payment up to maxPrice through setIntake, setActions or setBody, since they take effect with no delay. Reproduced with a scratch test where the sponsor's full maxPrice landed with the owner. The brief asks for these powers and the README documents them, so this is a recorded trust assumption.
    • Info. A refused refresh returns to IDLE with the hash unchanged, so a permanently refused parent costs each later sponsor the price every cooldown until the owner adopts a new hash. Reproduced over three cycles. This is the brief's stated rule.

    Dropped. The slither reentrancy and strict-equality leads do not reproduce: state is written before external calls, every entry point is guarded, callbacks are refused while the guard is entered, and the equalities compare a state enum. The aderyn lines are style notes.

    Coverage. All 13 entry points are answered. Twelve hold; onFailure carries the low finding. Two invariant rows cover deployability and payment atomicity.

    • lowRefused replacement open() drops to UNOPENED and strands recover/setResultHash for the existing projectsrc/BurnTracker.sol:188

      open() is allowed from STUCK and from a stale PENDING (line 134), so it also serves as a replacement order for a project that already exists, was paid for and holds a valid resultHash. onFailure maps every refused OPEN (status 1) to UNOPENED without regard to the state the open was placed from.

      UNOPENED is the one state in which _checkRecoverable (line 577: IDLE, STUCK or stale PENDING) rejects both recover(parentJobId) and setResultHash(hash), and updateBurntracker needs IDLE.

      So after a failed refresh (STUCK) a single refused replacement open (body_invalid, body_refused, each spending the owner's 0.5 IMD) removes the owner's two recovery paths for a project the plane still accepts continuations for from this payer; the only exit is another accepted and completed open(), i.e. a brand-new project at a further 0.5 IMD plus the hosting work.

      A replacement open that FAILS (status 2) returns to STUCK and keeps both paths, so the loss is specific to refusal. This follows the brief's sentence 'a refused open returns to UNOPENED' literally; that sentence was written for the first open, and combining it with 'open() is allowed again from STUCK' breaks the brief's promise that in STUCK the owner may recover(jobId) or setResultHash. Owner-triggered, no third-party loss, so low.

      Merged from audit_economics, audit_permissions and audit_math (same root cause). Minimal fix preserving the design: when the refused open replaced an existing project (e.g. resultHash != bytes32(uint256(1)), or record the state the open was placed from), return to STUCK instead of UNOPENED; keep UNOPENED for a refused first open.

      Deploy BurnTracker(owner, intake, token, 'job.open@job-1', 'job.continue@job-1', 1 days, 2 days).

      1. owner.open(validBody) -> intake calls onResult(id1, H=keccak256(doc), uri): status().state == 2 (IDLE), resultHash == H.

      2. warp to nextUpdateAt(); sponsor.updateBurntracker(doc, 0.5e18) -> intake calls onFailure(id2, 2, 'failed', 0, 0, ''): state == 4 (STUCK); here owner.recover('c9822c12-52e3-4d28-b474-a9ab751b10b3') and owner.setResultHash(H) are both allowed.

      3. owner.open('{"objective":"typo"}') -> intake calls onFailure(id3, 1, 'body_invalid', 0, 0, '').

      Expected: state back to 4 (STUCK) with recover()/setResultHash() still available for the existing project.

      Actual: state == 1 (UNOPENED); owner.recover(...) reverts WrongState(), owner.setResultHash(H) reverts WrongState(), sponsor.updateBurntracker(doc, 0.5e18) reverts WrongState(), although resultHash still equals H.

      Verified by running the attached test: it fails on the current code with 'refused replacement open should return to STUCK, not UNOPENED: 1 != 4'.

    • infoTrust assumption: owner can redirect a sponsor's in-flight updateBurntracker payment (up to maxPrice) with setIntake, setActions or setBodysrc/BurnTracker.sol:499

      updateBurntracker is callable by anyone and pays from msg.sender; _order reads intake, asset, continueAction and the body parts at execution time (lines 536-538, 149) and the only caller-side bounds are maxPrice and the ERC-20 allowance. All four values are owner-settable at any time with no delay, as the brief requires ('every one of these is constructor input and owner-settable').

      An owner, or a compromised owner key, that lands setIntake(rogue, asset) before a sponsor's pending transaction makes the sponsor's IMD flow to the rogue contract at up to maxPrice; setBody/setActions make the sponsor pay for a different body or action than the one they inspected.

      The README documents this under 'Trust and deliberate choices', and the brief fixes the updateBurntracker(bytes,uint256) signature, so this is recorded as the one material privileged power rather than as a defect; a timelock on setIntake/setBody or an expected-intake/body-hash argument would be a scope decision for the requester. Merged from audit_flow and audit_permissions.

      State: project completed (IDLE, resultHash = keccak256(doc)), cooldown elapsed; sponsor has approved BurnTracker for IMD.

      Owner deploys a MockIntake whose treasury is the owner, sets priceOf('job.continue@job-1') = 1e18, then calls setIntake(thatMock, token).

      Sponsor calls updateBurntracker(doc, 1e18).

      Expected by the sponsor: 0.5e18 IMD paid to Intake v2 for the stored template.

      Actual: the call succeeds and exactly 1e18 IMD moves from the sponsor to the owner (asserted in scratch test testOwnerIntakeSwapTakesSponsorPayment against test/helpers/MockIntake.sol: owner balance rises by 1e18).

    • infoA refused refresh returns to IDLE with the old proof, so a permanently refused parent makes every later sponsor spend 0.5 IMD each cooldownsrc/BurnTracker.sol:190

      Follows the stated rule ('a refused update returns to IDLE and restarts the cooldown'); recorded as an economic trust note, not a code defect. The contract cannot distinguish a transient refusal (the parent's GitHub delivery not finished yet; the five real result fixtures all show delivery.commit null at completion) from a permanent one (the stored resultHash's jobId is no longer the project's newest job, e.g. after an owner setResultHash adopted a stale completion).

      On refusal resultHash is unchanged and only lastDone is reset, so each cooldown a new sponsor can present the same authenticated document, pass every on-chain check, pay the live price and lose it to admission_refused, with no escalation to STUCK and no signal other than the Failed event. Only the owner's setResultHash(newHash) or setBody ends the loop; sponsors' tooling should read recent Failed events before paying.

      State: IDLE with resultHash = keccak256(doc J1), cooldown elapsed.

      Loop three times: sponsor.updateBurntracker(doc J1, 1e18) succeeds and PENDING; intake calls onFailure(id, 1, 'admission_refused', 0, 0, ''); assert sponsor balance fell by exactly 0.5e18, status().state == 2 (IDLE), resultHash still == keccak256(doc J1); warp to nextUpdateAt().

      Each iteration is accepted on chain and spends 0.5 IMD (scratch test testRefusedContinueKeepsHashAndLoopsEveryCooldown against test/helpers/MockIntake.sol passes on the current code, showing the loop).
