Build SQUEEK ARENA, a complete, original Web3 hamster racing and betting game for the SqueekChain community.

Create a finished, playable website with exactly THREE animated hamster racers: BROWN, WHITE and GOLDEN.

    Requirements (the evidence for each is a file or element in the repo):

    • Network and token: met. Sepolia only, chain ID 11155111 (src/config.ts:11-12); SQK at 0x6872…cc76 with 18 decimals and the standard ERC-20 ABI (config.ts:19-24); no fake token anywhere.
    • Wallet: met.
      • Connect and disconnect, and a "Switch to Sepolia" button: src/wallet/ConnectSheet.tsx:51-75.
      • The header reacts when the account or network changes; the profile shows the address and the real SQK balance (src/Player.tsx:63-67).
      • Approve and bet transactions: src/Arena.tsx:146-160. Hashes and status: src/txs.tsx.
      • "Never request private keys": met; the sheet says so at ConnectSheet.tsx:104.
    • Race game: met in code: three animated wheels (src/hamsters.tsx), selection cards (Arena.tsx:213-234), pools and countdown (Arena.tsx:186-192, 228). In the contract (contracts/src/SqueekArena.sol):
      • betting closes on the clock (lines 213-219, 245);
      • the result comes from a future block hash (243-275);
      • each hamster's odds are equal and the longest time wins (195-208);
      • all three times and the winner are shown (Arena.tsx:195-226);

    • Payouts: met in the contract. Escrow; the whole pool is split by stake (line 186); 0% fee is disclosed (src/main.tsx:104); full refund if nobody backed the winner (277-280) or the race expires (262-267); the claimed flag blocks double claims (288); no owner can touch funds. The site can strand a round, though (finding 1).
    • Website: met. Arena, cards, balance and bet input (Arena.tsx:239-269, shown once the contract exists), pools, countdown, winner announcement, profile and history, leaderboard, and a responsive layout with no horizontal scroll at 320, 390 or 1440.
    • References: met. The token is checked against the docs page (README); the API is noted as unused.
    • Testing on Sepolia: needs the requester. The tests passed on a local copy of Sepolia (README says so plainly), but no real Sepolia transactions exist yet.
    • Live URL: after review (dist/ is the export).
    • "Build and deploy the actual smart contract on Sepolia": needs the requester, specifically a funded Sepolia key. eth_getCode at 0x7b32…c329 returns 0x, and the site says so openly and offers a deploy button rather than faking it.

    Brief overrides one check: the headline is the tagline you supplied, "Pick your hamster. Place your SQK. Win the race." It is 9 words, over the six-word rule, and stays because the brief set it.

    The idea: a warm, paper-toned betting dapp where three hamster wheels are the scoreboard. The wheels carry the site, and nothing competes with them.

    Findings:

    1. Medium, bug: the Start, Reveal and Refund buttons only appear for the newest closed round with bets (src/useArena.ts:75). An older round that nobody started has no button anywhere on the site, so its stakes sit in escrow with no way out from the site. The funds are safe in the contract, but only reachable by calling it directly.
    2. Medium, bug: clicking "Browser wallet" with no wallet installed prints "Provider not found." (ConnectSheet.tsx:103). It should say that no wallet was found and suggest installing MetaMask or opening the page in a wa

    • mediumbug: a closed round with bets has no Start or Reveal button once a newer round has bets, so its SQK sits in escrow with no way out from the sitesrc/useArena.ts:75

      Now: the arena shows RoundPanel (Start the race / Reveal the race / Refund this round) only for last, the newest closed round with bets, and only looks back 6 rounds (LOOKBACK = 6). The profile history (Player.tsx) only offers Claim. If round N closes and nobody locks it before round N+1 (which also has bets) closes, round N drops out of the arena. Its row in the history says 'Betting' / 'Pending' with no button, and nothing on the site can call lock(N) or settle(N).

      Change to: render a RoundPanel for every round in rounds that is closed with totalPool > 0 and status 0 or 1, oldest first. In Player.tsx, give a history row with status 0 (closed) or 1 a 'Start the race' / 'Reveal the race' button that calls the same lock/settle as roundAction. Leave the ABI, address and transaction code as they are.

      Why: the brief asks for 'race settlement, payouts and refunds' and 'Supports safe refunds if a race cannot be settled'. The contract allows this (lock has no deadline, settle refunds after 256 blocks), but the site gives a bettor in a skipped round no way to reach it.

      Code path, any width (no wallet on this machine, contract not deployed): round 5 gets a bet and closes, and nobody calls lock(5).

      Round 6 gets a bet and closes. useArena.ts:75 now gives last = round 6, so Arena.tsx:272 renders RoundPanel for round 6 only.

      Round 5's row in Player.tsx:99 shows STATUS[0] = 'Betting', and Player.tsx:116 shows 'Pending' with no button.

      Expected: a Start the race button for round 5.

      Actual: none, and after 6 more rounds it drops out of the arena's reads entirely.

    • mediumbug: picking Browser wallet with no wallet installed shows the raw library error 'Provider not found.'src/wallet/ConnectSheet.tsx:103

      Now: on a desktop browser with no extension, the sheet lists 'Browser wallet'. Tapping it prints wagmi's 'Provider not found.' under the list, which tells the visitor nothing they can act on.

      Change to: when error.name is 'ProviderNotFoundError', show 'No browser wallet found. Install MetaMask, or open this page in your wallet app's browser.' Keep the first line of error.message for other errors.

      Why: the bar asks that every state of the main action 'says only what the app knows' in plain words. Connect is the first step of the brief's wallet requirement, and this is the failure most first visitors without a wallet will hit.

      Chromium, 390x844, dist served locally, no wallet extension: click Connect, then Browser wallet.

      Measured sheet text: 'Connect a wallet / Browser wallet / Coinbase Wallet / Provider not found. / Your wallet signs every transaction...'.

      Expected: a sentence saying no wallet was found and what to do.

    • lowfidelity: before the contract exists the arena prints 'Pool 0 SQK', '0 SQK' and '0% of pool' as if read from the chainsrc/Arena.tsx:192

      Now: getCode at 0x7b323e55617e7f7a7a41e5172d70ad25f462c329 returns 0x, so there is no pool. Arena.tsx:135-136 still falls back to [0n,0n,0n] and the bar and each lane print 0 SQK / 0% of pool, next to 'Not deployed yet'.

      Change to: when !a.deployed, render the pool and the lane amounts as '–', or skip arena__pool and the two lane__pool/lane__meta spans. The three wheels and names stay so the cards keep their height.

      Why: each state should say only what the app knows, and the brief says 'Do not invent data'. A zero pool reads as an empty live race, not as no contract.

      Chromium 390 and 1440, no wallet: load the page. The arena__clock reads 'Not deployed yet' while the bar shows 'Pool 0 SQK' and every lane shows '0 SQK' and '0% of pool' (screenshot test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png). eth_getCode on Sepolia for the arena address returns "0x".

    • lowbug: leaderboard 'Wins' shows claims over bet calls, and the profile's 'Races won' stays 0 until a win is claimedsrc/Player.tsx:164

      Now: stats.wins goes up in claim() only for settled rounds (SqueekArena.sol:299), and stats.bets goes up on every bet() call (line 232). Three bets on one round that wins and is claimed show '1/3'. An unclaimed win shows '0/1'. The profile's 'Races won' (Player.tsx:70) has the same issue.

      Change to: rename the column header from 'Wins' to 'Paid wins' and print only {r.wins}, and in the profile rename 'Races won' to 'Wins claimed'. The ratio over bet calls goes.

      Why: the labels should name the data in the reader's words. A ratio of claims to transactions reads as a win rate and is not one.

      Contract logic, any width: one address calls bet(0, 1e18) three times in round 1. Brown wins and the address claims. stats = {bets: 3, wins: 1}, so the leaderboard prints '1/3' for a player who won the only race they entered.

    • lowtaste: at 1440 the 'not on Sepolia yet' notice takes the left 1.5fr column and leaves the right column of the arena card emptysrc/styles.css:238

      Now: in the desktop layout the bet form uses the left column and the round panel the right. Before deployment only the notice renders, so about 400px of blank card sits to its right.

      Change to: add .panel--notice { grid-column: 1 / -1; } inside the same media block. The notice then spans the card under the lanes, its prose keeps its own measure, and the card loses no height.

      Why: a hole where an element is missing reads as unfinished on the first desktop screen.

      Chromium 1440x900, no wallet: load the page.

      In test/scratch/taste/shots/1440-full.png the notice and the Deploy button end near x=810 inside a card that runs to x=1243.

      The space to their right is empty.

    • lowtaste: the 'Browser wallet' row keeps an empty 28px icon slot, so its label sits out of line with an empty gap before itsrc/wallet/ConnectSheet.tsx:96

      Now: wagmi's generic injected connector has no icon and WALLET_ICONS has no 'injected' entry, so the first row is a blank 28px square followed by 'Browser wallet'. Under it, Coinbase Wallet shows its logo.

      Change to: add an 'injected' entry to WALLET_ICONS that reuses the site's own favicon.svg ('./favicon.svg'), so every row has a mark in the same slot.

      Why: the empty slot reads as a broken image on the sheet every visitor opens first.
