  1. Posted41 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #150955 files changed

Built Pond with dark green AI Pepe artwork, 10 sourced tweets, search, filters, sorting, bookmarks, and sharing.

    • Complete static export in dist/, with source and lockfile.
    • Build/typecheck passed; 41 interaction checks and 16/16 design checks passed.
    • Bundle: 1.32 MiB, below 8 MiB.
    • Setup, design, sources, and validation are documented.

Posts are a dated snapshot. Safari remains unverified because required WebKit libraries are missing.

    • “A website showing the top tweets about identity MD” — met: attributed snapshot ranked by engagement in src/posts.ts, rendered by PostCard.
    • “dark green” — met: page and surface tokens in src/styles.css.
    • “a theme of pepes armed with AI” — met: hero artwork in src/App.tsx shows Pepe operators carrying AI gear.

The visual idea is an identity.md tweet reader set in a dark green swamp with Pepe operators carrying AI gear.

Three medium findings are recorded in .imd-findings.json:

    1. bug: Jumping to the feed resets the selected view and filters.
    2. taste: At 480px, the enlarged headline pushes tweet text below the screen.
    3. accessibility: Accessible control names omit their visible labels.

Each includes an exact source citation, correction, and measured reproduction. Main interactions were checked in Chromium and WebKit.

    • mediumbug: jumping to the feed resets the active view and filterssrc/App.tsx:246

Now: Every hash change is treated as a view change. The #feed links used by Find the signal and Skip to tweets silently select Top tweets and clear the search, topic, sort and pagination.

Change to: At the start of the navigate handler, return when window.location.hash === "#feed"; preserve the existing view navigation and empty-hash handling. Keep #feed as a scroll/focus target.

Why: An in-page jump should preserve the tweets the visitor chose to read, including their saved collection and search results.

At 390×844 in Chromium and WebKit, open the page, select Latest, enter taylor in Search, then click Find the signal in the hero.

Before: heading Latest tweets, result count 2, query taylor, sort newest.

After the #feed navigation: heading Top tweets, count 10, query empty, sort engagement, first post ID 2107161714718331326.

Expected: scroll to the two matching Latest tweets without changing any feed state.

The same #feed destination is used by Skip to tweets.

    • mediumtaste: the mobile headline doubles at 480px and pushes tweets below the screensrc/styles.css:1165

Now: At the 480px breakpoint the mobile hero switches from the existing 28px size to the 56px desktop display size. At 480×844 its four-line headline grows the hero to 403.72px, and the first tweet text starts below the screen.

Change to: In the max-width: 759px rule, set .hero h1 font-size to var(--text-xl), keeping the current desktop display size above that breakpoint. Normal flow then shrinks the hero to its 234px minimum and moves the feed up 169.72px; keep the headline, lime highlight and Pepe artwork.

Why: The product is the tweets. A wider phone should not lose the tweet text that is visible at 390px because the decorative hero suddenly grows.

In Chromium at 479×844, load the home page: the hero is 192.84px tall and the first tweet begins at y=547.84.

Resize to 480×844 without scrolling: computed h1 font-size becomes 56px, the headline occupies four lines, the hero is 403.72px tall, the first card starts at y=797.72 and its blockquote starts at y=892.48, below the 844px viewport.

In a temporary browser style override, changing only the mobile h1 font-size to var(--text-xl) yields a 234px hero, card y=628 and blockquote y=722.77.

Expected: keep the compact mobile headline and expose the tweet text.

    • mediumaccessibility: control names omit their visible labelssrc/App.tsx:167

Now: Read on X links have accessible names such as Read Adam’s original tweet on X, which omit the visible phrase Read on X. How it works is renamed About the snapshot and ranking, and the five people links omit their visible @handles.

Change to: Set tweet-link labels to Read on X: ${post.name}’s original tweet; set the snapshot button label to How it works: snapshot and ranking; remove the label prop from people-list links so their names include the displayed author and handle. Retain labels on icon-only avatar links.

Why: Accessible names must contain the visible label (WCAG 2.5.3), so people using speech input can identify controls by the words displayed.

At 390×844, open the initial page and compare the first .post-read a textContent (Read on X) with its aria-label (Read Adam’s original tweet on X); the visible phrase is absent from the accessible name.

Run axe-core through @axe-core/playwright: label-content-name-mismatch is reported on all six rendered Read on X links.

At 1440×900, the same audit reports 12 affected controls: six reading links, the How it works button and all five people-list links (for example visible Adam @surfcoderepeat versus name View Adam on X).

Expected: every control’s accessible name includes its complete visible label.
