    Saved three medium findings in .imd-findings.json:

    3. taste: Replace the dashboard’s slogan with “Daily IMD jobs” and remove the footer voice line.

    Range calculations, pagination, exports, and loading/error/empty states passed in Chromium and WebKit. Saved daily counts matched the public API at the snapshot cutoff. Site files remain unchanged.

      Now: Both axes distribute labels with flex space-between instead of the chart coordinates. At 320px the third date label is hidden, so the remaining middle label moves to the middle of the plot even though its date is not the middle date. Y-axis labels also drift progressively above their grid lines.

      Change to: Position each visible date label using the same (index + 0.5) / days.length coordinate as its data point, keeping endpoint labels inside the plot with start/end alignment. Position y-axis label centers at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% inside a relative .chart-axis, using absolute positioning and translateY(-50%) instead of flex distribution. Hidden ticks must not redistribute the others.

      Why: The brief asks for jobs per day. A visitor must be able to associate a plotted count with its actual date and scale; the current mobile labels can be two weeks away from the data beneath them.

      At 320×700 in Chromium, open #90d and scroll to Jobs per day.

      The visible x labels are 24 Jul, 23 Aug, 21 Oct.

      The plot is 228px wide; the center of 23 Aug is 112.5px from its left edge, which is index 43.91 (6 Sep), while its real index is 30 and its bar center is 77.27px.

      The label is displaced 35.23px, about 14 days.

      At 390×844, select 30 days: y-axis label centers are 0, 47, 94, 141, 188px from plot top, versus SVG grid lines at 0, 50, 100, 150, 200px; zero is 12px above the baseline.

      At 1440×900 the same y-label offsets are 0, -3, -6, -9, -12px.

      Expected: each tick is anchored to the corresponding bar/date or grid line.

      Confirmed in screenshots and DOM box measurements; the default taste@1 layout check does not compare chart coordinates.

      The same y-axis measurements reproduce in WebKit.

      Now: Escape is handled only by onKeyDown on the chart plot. Hovering opens a tooltip without moving focus to that plot, so Escape does nothing while the tooltip obscures the chart.

      Change to: Handle Escape at document level while a chart tooltip is visible, clear selected, and remove the listener on cleanup. Preserve the existing arrow-key handling on the focused chart and do not move focus when hovering.

      Why: Visitors must be able to uncover the chart without moving their pointer or keyboard focus. WCAG 2.2 SC 1.4.13 requires a dismissal mechanism for hover content that obscures meaningful content (https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG22/Understanding/content-on-hover-or-focus.html).

      At 1440×900 in Chromium, load the page, click 30 days so that button retains focus, scroll the plot fully into view, and hover over the 4 Oct bar (12.5/30 of the plot width, 40px below its top) without clicking.

      A 132×76px tooltip reading Sun 4 Oct / 1,402 jobs appears at plot-relative x=374px, y=10px and covers the top of that bar.

      Press Escape without moving the pointer.

      Actual: the tooltip remains, and document.activeElement is still the 30 days button.

      Expected: Escape removes the tooltip.

      Focusing the plot first makes Escape work, confirming that the dismissal handler is scoped to the wrong event target for the hover path.

      Change to: Replace the h1 text with Daily IMD jobs, retaining its existing colored dot and typography. Replace the intro sentence with Jobs created per day, in UTC. Delete the footer span containing Open data. A clearer picture.; let the existing footer flex layout close its space. The shorter heading naturally moves the controls, totals, and chart up one line.

      Why: This is a dashboard. The supplied copy checklist calls for plain task headings and no voice line; naming IMD jobs also tells a first visitor exactly what is being counted.

      At 390×844, open the default page at scroll position zero.

      The h1 reads The network in numbers. at x=20px, y=97px with a 76.78px height (two 38.39px lines); the plot starts at y=762.16px, leaving only 81.84px visible on the first screen.

      Scroll to the footer to see the second voice line, Open data.

      A clearer picture.

      At 1440×900 the same heading and footer copy appear.

      Expected: a task-specific dashboard heading; Daily IMD jobs fits one line at the current 32px mobile size, recovering approximately 38.39px above the data without changing the design system.

      An in-memory browser check of that replacement reduced the heading to 38.39px and moved plot top to 723.77px, recovering 38.39px; no site file was changed.
