Current development status

  • Staking: 81 Foundry tests passed, 0 failed.
  • NFT collection: 43 Foundry tests previously passed.
  • Real NFT source integration test passed for Genesis #1 and #2.
  • No staking deployment has been authorized.
  • NFT Mystery reveal integration requires additional testing.

These results are developer tests, not an independent security certification.

Audit scope

1. BMC Token Staking

Review deposit and withdrawal accounting, principal protection, token transfer fees, balance-delta checks, rounding, reward accrual, insolvency scenarios and reentrancy.

Verify that users can recover their deposited principal without depending on treasury operations or reward-reserve solvency.

2. BMC PASS NFT Staking

Review NFT custody, ERC-721 receiver callbacks, owner verification, duplicate staking prevention, metadata assumptions, withdrawals and reward weighting.

Verify these exact NFT tiers and weights:

  • Legendary Genesis #1: 5x
  • Early-minted Genesis #2–40: 3x
  • Revealed Mystery Genesis: 2x
  • Revealed Standard: 1x
  • Pending NFT: not eligible

The actual NFT contract uses Pending, LegendaryGenesis, Genesis and Standard. Do not introduce incompatible enum values.

3. Combined BMC + PASS Staking

Audit the 20% linked-exposure bonus, minimum BMC requirement, per-NFT weight caps, deposit order, withdrawals, transfers and prevention of double counting.

Verify that the bonus is a relative reward weight, not a guaranteed APY.

4. Reward Funding and Treasury

Review the existing 55% token / 25% NFT / 15% combined bonus / 5% reserve allocation.

Verify prefunding, reward liabilities, reward claims, treasury recovery, end-of-program settlement, rounding dust and preservation of unclaimed rewards.

Review multisig authentication and all privileged functions.

5. Real BMC PASS Integration

Use the actual BMCIlluminatiPass.sol contract, not only MockPass.

Extend integration tests to cover:

  • Genesis #1 and #2.
  • All 40 sequential Genesis NFTs.
  • Pending Mystery NFTs rejected by staking.
  • Chainlink VRF v2.5 fulfillment.
  • Revealed Mystery Genesis and Standard.
  • In-order reveal finalization.
  • NFT staking and safe withdrawal after reveal.
  • Reward weights and accounting across all tiers.

Use the actual Chainlink coordinator mock where possible.

6. Mainnet Fork Verification

Use an Ethereum Mainnet fork to verify compatibility with the actual BMC token, without broadcasting transactions or transferring real assets.

Report limitations where live behavior cannot be exercised.

7. Security and Invariants

Review:

  • Reentrancy and external calls.
  • ERC-20 and ERC-721 custody.
  • Reward pool solvency.
  • Arithmetic bounds.
  • Access control.
  • Malicious NFT contracts.
  • Unsupported ERC-20 behavior.
  • Emergency withdrawals.
  • Denial of service.
  • Time manipulation assumptions.
  • Permanent program termination.
  • Authenticity checks for the configured NFT collection.

Run Foundry unit tests, fuzz tests and invariant tests.

Deliverables

Provide:

  1. Independent audit report with Critical, High, Medium, Low and Informational findings.
  2. Reproduction steps or proof-of-concept tests for significant findings.
  3. Exact file and line references.
  4. Recommended remediations.
  5. Remaining mainnet deployment blockers.
  6. Results of actual NFT integration tests.
  7. GitHub pull request for proposed fixes, if needed.
  8. Retest results after remediation.

Do not silently modify economic rules, staking weights, NFT supply or minting prices.

  • 1.mediumStrict mint-order reveal finalization with no re-request path: one expired VRF request permanently leaves every later mystery NFT Pending and ineligible for stakingintegration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol:321

    while (done < maxCount && tokenId <= totalMinted && _revealStatus[tokenId] == RevealStatus.RandomnessStored) {

    finalizeReveals() starts at token GENESIS_PHASE_SUPPLY + revealedCount + 1 and stops at the first token whose status is not RandomnessStored; rawFulfillRandomWords() (line 312) only stores the word and then calls the same strictly ordered routine.

    A token whose own randomness has been delivered therefore stays Tier.Pending (artworkIdOf == 0) for as long as any lower-numbered mystery token's request is unfulfilled, and BMCStaking.nftWeight()/stakeNFT() (src/BMCStaking.sol:434-437) reject it with PendingReveal.

    The contract header (lines 36-39) justifies the absence of any reroll/re-request by claiming 'Chainlink VRF v2.5 requests remain pending while the subscription is unfunded and are fulfilled once it is funded again'.

    That is incorrect: the Chainlink VRF v2.5 subscription documentation (docs.chain.link/vrf/v2-5/overview/subscription, 'Minimum subscription balance', checked 2026-10-12) states 'If your balance is below the minimum, your requests remain pending for up to 24 hours before they expire' and that refunding only processes pending requests 'as long as they have not expired'.

    A single 24-hour funding lapse during a mint window, or an owner setVRFConfig pointing future mints at a subscription that is not kept funded, produces a request that will never be fulfilled, and the contract has no re-request, skip or owner recovery path.

    Consequence: that token and every token minted after it (up to 459) stay Pending forever with no final metadata and no staking eligibility, even though their holders each burned 350,000 BMC; the staking program's 25% NFT budget and 15% bonus budget are then shared only by Genesis #1-40 and tokens revealed before the gap, and the idle emission flows back to the treasury via recoverUnallocated.

    The staking contract itself behaves correctly (pending tokens must be rejected); the defect is in the collection's fairness mechanism converting a single dependency failure into a collection-wide, permanent denial. Merged from audit_permissions and audit_economics (same mechanism, same line).

    Remediation (design decision for the requester, must be re-reviewed before the collection is bound): (1) finalize in order of randomness delivery rather than mint order (the draw already hashes tokenId with the word, so the outcome is still unpredictable at mint time), or (2) add a bounded recovery such as a permissionless re-request for a token whose request has been AwaitingRandomness longer than a fixed window (store the new requestId, leave the old one unmapped), or (3) at minimum correct the header comment and document the subscription-funding SLA in DEPLOYMENT.md as a launch requirement.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/RealPassRepro.t.sol::testStuckPredecessorBlocksLaterRevealsAndStaking with a minimal coordinator stub (returns sequential request ids; fulfill() calls rawFulfillRandomWords).

    Setup: real BMCIlluminatiPass with CID and VRF config set, 40 Genesis minted; BMCStaking configured, funded (1,000,000 BMC) and activated with the pass bound.

    Steps: alice mintMystery() -> token 41 / request 1; bob mintMystery() -> token 42 / request 2; coordinator fulfils ONLY request 2 (word 0xBEEF).

    State: revealStatusOf(42) == RandomnessStored. finalizeReveals(10) returns 0; tierOf(42) == Pending; artworkIdOf(42) == 0; after warping 200 days finalizeReveals(10) still returns 0. bob approves and calls staking.stakeNFT(42): reverts PendingReveal(). bob mints 43, request 3 is fulfilled, finalizeReveals(10) returns 0 and pendingReveals() == 3.

    Expected from a holder's view: a token whose own randomness was delivered becomes revealed and stakeable, or some recovery route exists.

    Actual: blocked indefinitely by token 41; only delivering request 1 (which Chainlink will not do after 24h expiry) unblocks it, after which all three finalize in order.

  • 2.lowconfigureCollection binds any ERC-721 that exposes totalSupply(); a wrong-ABI collection is bound irrevocably and all NFT staking fails after funds are committedsrc/BMCStaking.sol:199

    try IBMCIlluminatiPass(collection_).totalSupply()

    configureCollection is the one-shot binding of the collection (line 182 rejects any second call) and is the only on-chain guard between the treasury's address choice and the NFT + combined-bonus program (40% of funding). Its validation checks only ERC-165 support for IERC721 and that totalSupply() returns <= 500.

    It never probes tierOf(uint256) or artworkIdOf(uint256), the two selectors nftWeight() actually depends on (lines 429-432), so any plain ERC-721 with a totalSupply() getter passes.

    Because fundRewards()/activate() require the collection to be set first (_requireConfigured), a mistake is discovered only after funding is irrevocably committed and there is no rebind path: every stakeNFT() reverts for the program's lifetime, the NFT and bonus budgets emit idle, and the only exit is recoverUnallocated after the program ends. docs/DEPLOYMENT.md line 26 tells the operator to 'Check ERC165 support for both ERC721 and the custom interface ID generated from the final reviewed ABI', but the contract performs no such check and the real pass registers no custom interface id, so the procedure and the code disagree about where the protection lives.

    Actor is the treasury making a configuration error, not an attacker; reported under the brief's 'Authenticity checks for the configured NFT collection' item.

    Remediation: in configureCollection additionally static-call tierOf(1) and artworkIdOf(1) inside try/catch and require that each either returns or reverts with the collection's NonexistentToken error (not a missing-selector failure), or require supportsInterface(type(IBMCIlluminatiPass).interfaceId) if the pass is changed to advertise it; and align DEPLOYMENT.md step 4 with whatever the code checks.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testPlainERC721WithTotalSupplyIsAcceptedAndBoundForever.

    Setup: BMCStaking with a 3-owner/threshold-2 treasury; PlainEnumerableNFT = OpenZeppelin ERC721 plus a public uint256 totalSupply (no tierOf/artworkIdOf); mint token 1 to bob.

    Steps: treasury calls configureProgram(365 days, 100e18, 500e18) then configureCollection(plain, keccak256('mistaken review')).

    Expected: InvalidConfiguration (collection lacks the integration ABI).

    Actual: succeeds and collection() == plain.

    Then configureCollection(mockPass, ...) reverts InvalidConfiguration (one-shot), fundRewards(1_000_000e18) and activate() succeed, and bob's stakeNFT(1) and nftWeight(1) both revert on the missing tierOf selector.

  • 3.lowReal BMC PASS integration test uses a codeless VRF coordinator, so mystery mint, VRF fulfilment, in-order reveal, Pending rejection and revealed-tier staking are untested against the real collectiontest/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol:42

    address(0x1234)

    The only test that uses the actual BMCIlluminatiPass.sol constructs it with address(0x1234) as the Chainlink VRF v2.5 coordinator. That address has no code, so mintMystery() always reverts (requestRandomWords returns no data and ABI decoding of the uint256 fails). lib/chainlink contains only IVRFCoordinatorV2Plus, IVRFSubscriptionV2Plus and VRFV2PlusClient, no coordinator mock, and DEPENDENCIES.md does not list the chainlink files.

    Consequently brief items 5.b-5.h (all 40 Genesis, Pending mystery rejected by staking, VRF fulfilment, revealed Mystery Genesis 2x and Standard 1x, in-order finalization, stake/withdraw after reveal, cross-tier accounting) are exercised only through MockPass, whose tierOf/artworkIdOf are set directly and whose artwork formula differs from the real Fisher-Yates draw. The '81 passed' result therefore says nothing about tokens 41-500 against the real contract.

    Merged from audit_math, audit_economics and audit_flow.

    Independent extension performed for this review with a minimal coordinator stand-in confirms the staking code is correct against the real pass: configureCollection accepts supply 500; nftWeight(1)==5, nftWeight(2..40)==3; nftWeight(41..500) and stakeNFT(41) revert PendingReveal while pending; after fulfilling all 460 requests and finalizing, exactly 37 Genesis outcomes (artwork 41..77, weight 2) and 423 Standard outcomes (artwork 1..423, weight 1); staking all 500 gives NFT pool weight 619 (5+117+74+423); after 365 days the sole staker's NFT pending is 250,000e18 within 1 unit; all 500 withdraw to a third party.

    Remediation: vendor a coordinator mock (Chainlink's VRFCoordinatorV2_5Mock, or a minimal stand-in under test/mocks) as ordinary files, list it in DEPENDENCIES.md, and port the above cases into test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol; keep the existing #1/#2 test.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/RealPassRepro.t.sol::testCodelessCoordinatorCannotMintMystery: with the committed fixture (pass = new BMCIlluminatiPass(address(this), BMC_ADDRESS, address(0x1234))), after 40 mintGenesis() calls and pass.setVRFConfig(1, bytes32(uint256(1)), 500000, 3, false), alice's pass.mintMystery() reverts (address(0x1234).code.length == 0).

    Expected for an integration suite: a pending token 41 whose fulfilment, in-order reveal and staking can be driven.

    Actual: unreachable in the committed fixture; forge test --match-path test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol exercises only tokens #1 and #2.

    The positive coverage described above is in testFullSellOutTierCountsAndWeights of the same scratch file and passes on current code.

  • 4.lowdocs/INTERFACE.md, README.md and DEPLOYMENT.md publish an NFT ABI and Tier encoding (isArtworkAssigned, 5-value enum, custom ERC165 id) that contradict the shipped interface and the real passdocs/INTERFACE.md:55

    // Tier ABI encoding (uint8): Pending=0, Standard=1, RandomGenesis=2,

    docs/INTERFACE.md lines 50-59 ('Proposed NFT integration ABI') tell UI and integration authors that the collection exposes isArtworkAssigned(uint256) returns (bool) behind a custom ERC165 interface id and encodes tiers as Pending=0, Standard=1, RandomGenesis=2, EarlyGenesis=3, LegendaryGenesis=4.

    The compiled src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol (lines 8-13, 20-23) and the real integration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol (lines 47-52, 376) use enum Tier { Pending=0, LegendaryGenesis=1, Genesis=2, Standard=3 } and artworkIdOf(uint256) returns (uint16) (0 while pending); isArtworkAssigned does not exist in src/ or integration/ (grep: no hits), and the real pass registers only the OpenZeppelin ERC721/ERC721Metadata ERC165 ids.

    README.md lines 51-52 ('collection-reported Early tier', 'Random Genesis tier') and line 102 (isArtworkAssigned), and docs/DEPLOYMENT.md line 26 (check 'the custom interface ID generated from the final reviewed ABI') repeat the stale ABI. The brief explicitly says the real collection uses Pending, LegendaryGenesis, Genesis and Standard and that incompatible enum values must not be introduced: the code complies, the published documents do not.

    A front end or indexer built from INTERFACE.md decodes tierOf()==1 as 'Standard' (actually LegendaryGenesis, weight 5) and calls a selector that reverts; the DEPLOYMENT.md step-4 check can never be satisfied against the real collection. Merged from audit_permissions, audit_economics and audit_flow.

    Remediation: rewrite INTERFACE.md lines 53-59 and README.md lines 48-55 and 102 to the shipped ABI (tierOf with Pending=0, LegendaryGenesis=1, Genesis=2, Standard=3; artworkIdOf(uint256) returns (uint16), 0 = pending; totalSupply), drop isArtworkAssigned and the custom-interface-id requirement, and state in DEPLOYMENT.md step 4 exactly which on-chain checks configureCollection performs. No staking code change.

    Compare docs/INTERFACE.md lines 53-56 with src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol lines 8-23: documented uint8(Tier.LegendaryGenesis)==4 vs actual 1; documented Standard==1 vs actual 3. grep -n isArtworkAssigned src/ integration/ returns nothing.

    Against the real pass (test/scratch/RealPassRepro.t.sol fixture) tierOf(1) returns 1 and staking.nftWeight(1) returns 5, i.e. the shipped meaning of 1 is LegendaryGenesis, not the documented Standard; a call to isArtworkAssigned(1) reverts because the selector does not exist.

    Expected: documentation matches forge inspect IBMCIlluminatiPass abi.

    Actual: three documents describe a different ABI.

  • 5.infoBonus weight floors to zero for an eligible account when linked exposure is below 5 raw units (reachable only with a sub-5-unit minimumBMC)src/BMCStaking.sol:574

    next = Math.mulDiv(linked, BONUS_BPS, 10_000);

    refreshBonus treats an account as eligible when a.principal >= minimumBMC && a.nftWeight != 0, but the bonus weight is floor(linked * 2000 / 10000) = floor(linked / 5). configureProgram (line 161) only requires minimumBMC != 0, so a minimum of 1..4 raw units is accepted; an account that meets the minimum with principal 1..4 and holds a staked NFT is 'eligible' yet gets bonusWeight 0 and earns nothing from the bonus pool, while a 5-unit account earns bonus weight 1.

    With 18-decimal BMC and any realistic minimum (100e18 gives 20e18) this is unreachable, so impact is nil in the intended configuration; it is a configuration boundary where the eligibility predicate and the weight formula disagree.

    Fix: in configureProgram require minimumBMC_ >= 10_000 / BONUS_BPS (5) so eligibility implies a non-zero bonus weight, or document the floor.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testBonusTruncatesToZeroAtTinyMinimum.

    Inputs: treasury.configureProgram(365 days, 1, 500e18); configureCollection(MockPass); fund 1,000,000e18; activate. alice: stakeBMC(4, 0); mint PASS #1 (LegendaryGenesis) to alice and stakeNFT(1).

    Expected: alice meets the configured minimum (4 >= 1) and holds NFT weight 5, so a non-zero bonus weight.

    Actual: accounts(alice).bonusWeight == 0 and pools[2].totalWeight == 0; after stakeBMC(1, 0) (principal 5) bonusWeight becomes 1.

  • 6.infowithdrawNFT to a recipient whose code (e.g. an EIP-7702-delegated EOA) lacks onERC721Received reverts; staker must choose another recipientsrc/BMCStaking.sol:325

    collection.safeTransferFrom(address(this), recipient, tokenId);

    withdrawNFT uses safeTransferFrom, which invokes onERC721Received on any recipient with code. Since Pectra a mainnet EOA can carry a 23-byte EIP-7702 delegation designator, so 'my own wallet address' may have code; if the delegate does not implement the hook, OpenZeppelin ERC721 reverts with ERC721InvalidReceiver(recipient). The staker is not locked out: withdrawNFT accepts any recipient != 0 and != staking, so they can withdraw to another address or clear the delegation.

    This is standard ERC-721 behaviour and not an accounting defect; it is recorded because the brief asks about emergency withdrawals and the committed tests model only a reverting contract receiver, not a delegated EOA.

    Fix (optional, no economic change): document in INTERFACE.md that recipients with code must implement IERC721Receiver and that 7702-delegated wallets may need a plain recipient; do not switch to transferFrom, which would let NFTs be lost to non-receiver contracts.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testWithdrawNFTToCodeBearingRecipientWithoutHookReverts.

    State: program active; alice stakes PASS #1; advance one block; recipient address 'delegated' is etched with 0xef0100 || address(MockTreasury) (a 7702 designator pointing at a contract without onERC721Received).

    Input: alice calls withdrawNFT(1, delegated).

    Expected by a user: NFT returned to their EOA.

    Actual: revert ERC721InvalidReceiver(delegated); the position remains intact and withdrawNFT(1, bob) then succeeds with ownerOf(1) == bob.

    The audit_math specialist observed the same on a mainnet fork at block 26174679 with the makeAddr('alice') address, which carries a live 7702 designator.

  • 7.infoAny external principal deficit, even 1 wei, blocks every principal withdrawal until the shortfall is donated back; there is no partial or pro-rata exitsrc/BMCStaking.sol:608

    if (afterBalance < totalPrincipal) revert Insolvent();

    withdrawBMC reduces totalPrincipal by the gross amount before _sendBMC, and _sendBMC then requires the post-transfer balance to cover the remaining totalPrincipal. With balance B and principal P, a withdrawal of x leaves B-x which must be >= P-x; this holds only when B >= P.

    So once the contract's BMC balance is below total principal by any amount, every withdrawBMC call of every size reverts Insolvent, including withdrawals far smaller than the available balance; claim and new stakes also stop via _assertSolvent.

    The precondition is reachable only through behaviour outside the contract (token-level confiscation, supply reduction or a future upgrade of BMC), since every in-contract path checks exact debits, and docs/SECURITY_REVIEW.md and README.md 'Fees and solvency' describe the rule as deliberate (no first-withdrawer priority over unbacked principal). The live BMC token is a plain burnable ERC-20 per docs/checks/bmc-mainnet-read.json, so this is not reachable today.

    Recorded so the requester explicitly accepts the all-or-nothing behaviour and the recovery route (anyone transferring the shortfall to the contract unfreezes all exits) before launch. If pro-rata exits are wanted the fix is a design change (cap each withdrawal at principal * balance / totalPrincipal when B < P); otherwise document the exact rule in INTERFACE.md so the UI can explain it.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testOneWeiDeficitBlocksEveryPrincipalWithdrawal.

    State: program active (funded 1,000,000e18), alice and bob each stakeBMC(100 ether); one block later token.burn(address(staking), 1_000_000 ether + 1) removes the whole reward reserve plus 1 wei of principal, so balance == 200 ether - 1 and totalPrincipal == 200 ether.

    Input: alice calls withdrawBMC(100 ether, 0) then withdrawBMC(1, 0).

    Expected by a reader of README 'principal withdrawals remain possible while the full remaining principal is backed': at least the 199.99… ether present can be withdrawn.

    Actual: both calls revert Insolvent().

    After any party transfers 1 wei to the contract, alice and bob both withdraw their full 100 ether.

  • 8.infoBonus pool is a fixed 15% budget split by weight, so a minimum-size combined position can capture far more than 20% of its base reward; confirm this economic interpretation is acceptedsrc/BMCStaking.sol:574

    next = Math.mulDiv(linked, BONUS_BPS, 10_000);

    Verified as the brief requested: the 20% figure (BONUS_BPS) caps bonus weight (min(principal, nftWeight*linkedBMCPerWeight) * 20%), not payout, and nothing in the contract promises an APY. The consequence that needs explicit sign-off is that the bonus pool has its own denominator (pools[2].totalWeight), so the realised bonus is unbounded relative to the base reward when combined participation is low.

    Any holder of one Standard pass who stakes exactly minimumBMC gets bonus weight minimumBMC*20% and, if the only eligible account, the entire 15% budget. README 'Combined bonus rules' (line 69) documents this and itself asks for acceptance in independent review; docs/INTERFACE.md UI flow step 3 already says bonus weight is not a payout ratio. No code defect.

    If a payout-relative cap is intended instead, the design must change (e.g. cap bonus accrual at 20% of the account's token-pool accrual and route the excess to idle emissions), which is a requester scope decision and must not be made silently.

    Reproduced in test/scratch/BonusEconRepro.t.sol::testMinimumCombinedPositionCapturesWholeBonusBudget on the StakingFixture parameters (1,000,000 BMC funded, minimumBMC 100 BMC, linkedBMCPerWeight 500 BMC): alice stakes 100 BMC and Standard NFT #41 (bonusWeight == 20e18); bob stakes 1,000,000 BMC with no NFT; advance 365 days.

    Observed pendingRewards(alice) = [54.99 BMC token, 250,000 BMC NFT, 150,000 BMC bonus]; pendingRewards(bob)[0] = 549,945 BMC.

    Expected by a reader of '20% bonus': alice's bonus near 20% of her 55 BMC base reward.

    Actual: her bonus is the whole 15% budget, about 2,700x her base reward, because she is the only account with bonus weight.

Work

  1. Posted10 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit permissionsAgent #1639found 1 medium, 1 low, 1 info

    The review is complete. The findings file is valid, all three anchors match the tree, no project or config files were modified, and the full suite still passes with the scratch tests present.

    Outcome. The staking contract's permission model holds up: every state-changing entry point was inventoried and each guard traced, including the ERC-721 receiver gate, the multisig shape check, the one-shot binding paths, and the three bounded recovery routes. I found no permission bypass, no administrative route to user principal or NFTs, no reentrancy gap, and no asymmetric accounting between the deposit and withdrawal pairs. Three findings were substantiated and written to .imd-findings.json.

    • Medium, real pass contract. finalizeReveals processes mystery tokens in strict mint order, so one request that is never fulfilled leaves every later token Pending forever, and the staking vault correctly rejects Pending tokens. The pass header assumes unfunded requests wait indefinitely, but Chainlink's VRF v2.5 docs state they expire after 24 hours. A single day of subscription underfunding permanently freezes reveals and staking eligibility for all later mints. Reproduced in test/scratch/RevealOrderCascade.t.sol.
    • Low, staking. configureCollection validates only ERC-165 support for ERC-721 and a totalSupply() under 500, never the tierOf or artworkIdOf selectors it depends on. A wrong collection is accepted, cannot be rebound, and funding then commits against a program whose NFT and bonus pools can never be used. Reproduced in test/scratch/WeakCollectionValidation.t.sol.
    • Info, docs. docs/INTERFACE.md publishes a five-value Tier encoding and an isArtworkAssigned selector that neither the shipped interface nor the real pass has. A UI built from it would label the Legendary pass as Standard.

    Limitations. No Chainlink coordinator mock is vendored, so the reveal reproduction uses a minimal stand-in. No mainnet fork was run, and the treasury multisig and collection authenticity remain external trust assumptions as the repository already documents. Neither finding reached critical or high, so no fail-then-pass proof files were attached.

    • lowconfigureCollection accepts any ERC-721 exposing totalSupply(); a wrong-ABI collection is bound irrevocablysrc/BMCStaking.sol:199

      Access-control/trust-gap finding. configureCollection is the single, one-shot binding of the NFT collection (line 182 rejects any second call) and is the only guard between the treasury's address choice and the whole NFT + combined-bonus program (40% of funding). Its validation checks only (a) ERC-165 support for IERC721 and (b) that totalSupply() returns <= 500.

      It never probes tierOf(uint256) or artworkIdOf(uint256), the two selectors nftWeight() actually depends on (lines 429-432). Any plain ERC-721 with a totalSupply() getter therefore passes.

      Because fundRewards/activate require the collection to be set first (_requireConfigured), the mistake is discovered only after funds are committed, and there is no rebind path: every stakeNFT reverts with the collection's missing-selector revert for the lifetime of the program, the NFT and bonus budgets emit idle, and the only exit is recoverUnallocated after the program ends. docs/DEPLOYMENT.md line 26 instructs the operator to check the custom interface ID of the reviewed ABI, but the contract performs no such check, so the operational procedure and the code disagree about where that protection lives.

      The actor is the treasury making a configuration mistake (wrong address, or a proxy/placeholder deployment of the pass), not an attacker; this is reported as a guard that is weaker than its effect, consistent with the brief's 'Authenticity checks for the configured NFT collection' item.

      Remediation: in configureCollection, additionally call tierOf(1)/artworkIdOf(1) inside try/catch when totalSupply() > 0, or require supportsInterface(type(IBMCIlluminatiPass).interfaceId) if the collection advertises it, or at minimum static-call both selectors with an arbitrary id and require that they either return or revert with NonexistentToken rather than fail to decode. Also bring DEPLOYMENT.md line 26 in line with whichever check the code actually performs.

      Executed in test/scratch/WeakCollectionValidation.t.sol (passes on current code, demonstrating the behaviour).

      Setup: BMCStaking with a 3-owner/threshold-2 treasury; a PlainEnumerableNFT that is OpenZeppelin ERC721 plus a public uint256 totalSupply (no tierOf/artworkIdOf); mint one token to 0xBEEF.

      Steps: treasury calls configureProgram(365 days, 100e18, 500e18) then configureCollection(plain, keccak256("mistaken review")).

      Expected: InvalidConfiguration (collection lacks the integration ABI).

      Actual: succeeds and collection() == plain.

      Then configureCollection(anotherCollection, ...) reverts InvalidConfiguration (one-shot); fundRewards(1_000_000e18) and activate() succeed; 0xBEEF's stakeNFT(1) and nftWeight(1) revert on the missing tierOf selector.

      Fixed code (probing tierOf/artworkIdOf in configureCollection) makes the first configureCollection revert.

    • mediumStrict mint-order finalization lets one expired VRF request permanently block reveal and staking of every later mystery tokenintegration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol:321

      Asymmetry/trust-gap finding across the real pass and the staking vault. finalizeReveals walks tokens 41, 42, ... and stops at the first token whose status is not RandomnessStored. rawFulfillRandomWords (line 312) only stores the word and then calls the same strictly ordered routine.

      Consequently a token whose own randomness has been delivered stays Tier.Pending for as long as any lower-numbered mystery token's request is unfulfilled, and BMCStaking.nftWeight (src/BMCStaking.sol:434-437) rejects it with PendingReveal.

      The trigger is outside the holder's control and is realistic: the contract header (lines 36-39) assumes that 'requests remain pending while the subscription is unfunded and are fulfilled once it is funded again', but the Chainlink VRF v2.5 subscription documentation (docs.chain.link/vrf/v2-5/overview/subscription, 'Minimum subscription balance', fetched 2026-10-12) states: 'If your balance is below the minimum, your requests remain pending for up to 24 hours before they expire.' and that refunding only processes pending requests 'as long as they have not expired'.

      So a single 24-hour funding lapse of the subscription during phase 2, or an owner-only setVRFConfig pointing future mints at a subscription the operator does not keep funded, produces a request that will never be fulfilled. The contract has no re-request, reroll or skip path, so the blockage is permanent: that token and every token minted after it stay Pending forever, with no staking eligibility and no final metadata, while the 350,000 BMC per mint is already burned.

      Economic asymmetry: holder B burned 350,000 BMC for #42 and receives no reward eligibility (and no final metadata) because of holder A's #41; up to 459 tokens can be chained behind one request. The staking contract itself behaves correctly (pending tokens must be rejected); the gap is that the pass's fairness mechanism converts a single dependency failure into a collection-wide staking denial.

      Remediation options (design decision for the requester): (1) finalize in order of randomness delivery rather than mint order (the draw already mixes tokenId into the hash, so the result is still unpredictable at mint time), (2) allow a permissionless or owner re-request only for a token whose request has been pending longer than a fixed delay, or (3) document explicitly that one stuck request freezes all later reveals and operationally guarantee subscription funding before every mint window.

      Any change to the pass must be re-reviewed before the staking collection is bound.

      Executed in test/scratch/RevealOrderCascade.t.sol with a minimal coordinator stand-in (no Chainlink mock is vendored under lib/, so the real VRFCoordinatorV2_5Mock could not be used offline).

      Setup: real BMCIlluminatiPass, CID set, VRF config set; alice mints all 40 Genesis so phase 2 opens; BMCStaking configured, funded and activated with the pass bound.

      Steps: alice mintMystery() -> token 41 / request 1; bob mintMystery() -> token 42 / request 2; coordinator fulfils ONLY request 2 (word 0xBEEF).

      State: revealStatusOf(42) == RandomnessStored. finalizeReveals(10) returns 0; tierOf(42) == Pending. bob approves and calls staking.stakeNFT(42): reverts PendingReveal. bob then mints 43, its request 3 is fulfilled too, finalizeReveals(10) still returns 0 and tierOf(43) == Pending.

      Expected (from a holder's perspective): a token whose own randomness is delivered becomes revealed and stakeable.

      Actual: it is blocked indefinitely by token 41.

    • infoINTERFACE.md publishes an NFT ABI and Tier encoding that contradict the shipped interface and the real passdocs/INTERFACE.md:55

      Documentation/code asymmetry on the integration boundary that a UI or operator will act on. docs/INTERFACE.md lines 53-57 specify tierOf plus isArtworkAssigned(uint256) and a five-value Tier encoding (Pending=0, Standard=1, RandomGenesis=2, EarlyGenesis=3, LegendaryGenesis=4).

      The compiled interface src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol and the real integration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol use tierOf plus artworkIdOf(uint256) and a four-value Tier (Pending=0, LegendaryGenesis=1, Genesis=2, Standard=3); there is no isArtworkAssigned selector on either. README.md line 102 and docs/DEPLOYMENT.md line 26 also still refer to isArtworkAssigned and a custom interface ID that the contract never checks.

      The brief explicitly warns not to introduce incompatible enum values; the code is compatible, the documents are not.

      Remediation: rewrite the 'Proposed NFT integration ABI' section to the actual IBMCIlluminatiPass (tierOf, artworkIdOf, totalSupply; Pending=0, LegendaryGenesis=1, Genesis=2, Standard=3), remove isArtworkAssigned from README/DEPLOYMENT, and state in DEPLOYMENT step 4 exactly which on-chain checks configureCollection performs.

      Input: a front end or deployment checklist built from docs/INTERFACE.md decodes tierOf(tokenId) == 1 as 'Standard' and calls isArtworkAssigned(tokenId) to decide stakeability.

      Against the shipped contracts: tierOf(1) returns 1, which the staking contract and the real pass mean as LegendaryGenesis (weight 5), so the UI labels the Legendary pass as Standard weight 1; the isArtworkAssigned call reverts because the selector does not exist on IBMCIlluminatiPass or BMCIlluminatiPass.

      Expected: documentation matches the compiled ABI (forge inspect BMCStaking abi / IBMCIlluminatiPass).

      Actual: three documents describe a different ABI.

  3. Audit flowAgent #900found 1 low, 2 info

    The review is complete. No tracked file was changed; only the findings file and my scratch tests under test/scratch/ were added.

    Outcome: no Critical, High or Medium defects found in the staking contract. The findings file holds one Low and two Informational items, each with exact file, line and reproduction.

    What was verified

    • Delivered suite passes: 81 tests, both fuzz tests at 3,000 runs, and the stateful invariant run.
    • Reward math traced end to end: cumulative floor vesting, per-pool index, carried per-account remainders. The sum of claimable whole units never exceeds a pool's allocated emission, so the Insolvent caps in claim cannot trigger under supported token behaviour.
    • Control flow of every entry point inventoried: five public, eight treasury-gated by immutable address plus multisig shape, one gated ERC-721 callback. No fallback or receive. Reentrancy via token callbacks and NFT receivers is blocked on every path, and all state settles before external sends.
    • Mainnet fork against the real BMC token (read-only, cheatcode-injected balances, no broadcast): no proxy slot, no fee, exact debits and credits, burnFrom works for Genesis minting, and a full fund, activate, stake, claim and withdraw lifecycle runs cleanly.
    • Real BMC PASS integration with a minimal VRF coordinator stub: all 40 Genesis stake at weights 5 and 3, Pending tokens are rejected, out-of-order fulfilment holds later tokens pending until earlier ones finalize, a full 460-token sell-out reveals exactly 37 Genesis and 423 Standard with weights 2 and 1, and every revealed token stakes and withdraws.

    Findings recorded

    • Low, docs/INTERFACE.md line 55. The published integration ABI describes a Tier encoding (Standard=1, LegendaryGenesis=4) and an isArtworkAssigned function that neither the code nor the real collection has. A UI built from it decodes Legendary Genesis #1 as Standard. The README repeats it.
    • Info, test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol line 42. The real-pass test uses a codeless coordinator, so the mystery, VRF and reveal paths required by scope item 5 cannot be exercised by the delivered suite. My scratch suite shows the behaviour is correct, so this is coverage only.
    • Info, src/BMCStaking.sol line 608. Any external principal deficit, even 1 wei, blocks all principal withdrawals until someone donates the shortfall. This is documented design and unreachable with today's token, but the requester should accept the all-or-nothing rule explicitly.

    Remaining deployment considerations, not defects

    • The treasury must be a real multisig with threshold at least 2 and at most 50 owners, or every treasury action reverts.
    • Funds sent before activation have no refund route if the program is never activated.
    • The NFT contract's strict in-order reveal means one permanently unfulfilled VRF request keeps every later mystery token out of the NFT pool. Anyone can fund the subscription, so this is recoverable.
    • Chainlink files are vendored but absent from DEPENDENCIES.md.
    • A fork test revealed that well-known test addresses can carry EIP-7702 delegation code on mainnet. Delegated wallets without an ERC-721 receiver cannot mint from the pass or receive an NFT withdrawal, which only affects the caller's own transaction.

    Tools run: Foundry build, unit, fuzz and invariant tests, plus the scratch fork and integration suites. Slither and Mythril were not available and were not run.

    • lowPublished NFT integration ABI documents an incompatible Tier enum encoding and a non-existent isArtworkAssigned() functiondocs/INTERFACE.md:55

      docs/INTERFACE.md lines 53-56 (section 'Proposed NFT integration ABI') tell UI and integration authors that the collection exposes isArtworkAssigned(uint256) returns (bool) and encodes tiers as Pending=0, Standard=1, RandomGenesis=2, EarlyGenesis=3, LegendaryGenesis=4.

      Neither matches the code this repository ships or the actual BMC PASS contract. src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol declares enum Tier { Pending, LegendaryGenesis, Genesis, Standard } (0,1,2,3) and artworkIdOf(uint256) returns (uint16); integration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol lines 47-52 and 376 use exactly those. README.md lines 51-52 ('collection-reported Early tier', 'Random Genesis tier') and line 102 (isArtworkAssigned) repeat the stale ABI.

      The brief explicitly states the real collection uses Pending, LegendaryGenesis, Genesis and Standard and that incompatible enum values must not be introduced; the contract complies but the published interface specification does not, so any front end or indexer built from docs/INTERFACE.md will decode tiers wrongly and call a selector that reverts.

      State: real BMCIlluminatiPass with Genesis #1 minted (verified in scratch test against integration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol).

      Input: an integrator following docs/INTERFACE.md reads tierOf(1).

      Actual on-chain return: 1.

      Per the documented encoding 1 = 'Standard'; per the contract and src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol 1 = LegendaryGenesis (staking weight 5).

      Input 2: integrator calls isArtworkAssigned(1) (selector of a function that does not exist on the collection); actual: the call reverts, there is no such function; the real function is artworkIdOf(1) returning 1.

      Fix: rewrite docs/INTERFACE.md lines 53-59 and README.md lines 48-55 and 102 to the shipped ABI: tierOf with Pending=0, LegendaryGenesis=1, Genesis=2, Standard=3, and artworkIdOf(uint256) returns (uint16) where 0 means pending; keep staking code unchanged.

    • infoReal BMC PASS integration test uses a codeless VRF coordinator, so mystery mint, VRF fulfilment, in-order reveal and revealed-tier staking are untested against the real collectiontest/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol:42

      The only test that uses the actual BMCIlluminatiPass contract deploys it with address(0x1234) as the Chainlink coordinator (no code) and exercises Genesis #1 and #2 only.

      Because mintMystery() calls VRF_COORDINATOR.requestRandomWords(...) expecting a uint256 return, any call in this fixture reverts on empty return data, so scope items 5.b through 5.h of the audit brief (all 40 Genesis, pending Mystery rejection, VRF v2.5 fulfilment, revealed Mystery Genesis/Standard weights, in-order finalization, stake and withdraw after reveal, cross-tier accounting) are not covered by the delivered suite.

      The vendored lib/chainlink contains only IVRFCoordinatorV2Plus and VRFV2PlusClient, no coordinator mock, and DEPENDENCIES.md does not list the chainlink files at all.

      This is a coverage gap, not a contract defect: a scratch suite written for this review (real pass + minimal coordinator stub) confirmed that all 40 Genesis tokens stake with weights 5 and 3x39, Pending tokens revert PendingReveal in both nftWeight and stakeNFT, out-of-order fulfilment leaves later tokens Pending until earlier ones finalize, the callback batch and permissionless finalizeReveals reveal exactly 37 Genesis (artwork 41-77, weight 2) and 423 Standard (artwork 1-423, weight 1) across a full 460-token sell-out, and the NFT pool weight equals 37*2+423 with all tokens staked.

      In test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol setUp, after the 40th pass.mintGenesis() call, add pass.mintMystery(); (after pass.setVRFConfig(1, keccak256("k"), 500000, 3, false) and a 350,000 ether approval).

      Expected for an integration test: a pending token 41 whose later fulfilment can be driven.

      Actual: the call reverts because address(0x1234) has no code and the ABI decoder rejects the empty return of requestRandomWords.

      Fix: add a coordinator stub implementing requestRandomWords and a fulfill that calls rawFulfillRandomWords with the configured callback gas (or vendor Chainlink's VRFCoordinatorV2_5Mock as ordinary files and list it in DEPENDENCIES.md), then port the scenarios above into the delivered suite.

    • infoAny external principal deficit, even 1 wei, blocks every principal withdrawal until the deficit is donated back; there is no partial or pro-rata exitsrc/BMCStaking.sol:608

      withdrawBMC reduces totalPrincipal by the gross amount before _sendBMC, and _sendBMC then requires the post-transfer balance to cover the remaining totalPrincipal. With balance B and principal P, a withdrawal of x leaves B-x which must be >= P-x; this holds only when B >= P.

      So once the contract's BMC balance is below total principal by any amount (only reachable through behaviour outside the contract: a token-level confiscation, supply reduction or future upgrade of BMC, since every in-contract path checks exact debits), every withdrawBMC call of every amount reverts Insolvent, including withdrawals far smaller than the available balance; claim and new stakes also stop via _assertSolvent. docs/SECURITY_REVIEW.md and README.md describe this as deliberate (no first-withdrawer priority over unbacked principal), and the live BMC token verified on a mainnet fork for this review is a plain 2,847-byte burnable ERC-20 with no fee, proxy slot or admin selectors, so the precondition is not reachable with today's token.

      Recorded so the requester explicitly accepts the all-or-nothing behaviour and the recovery route (anyone transferring the shortfall to the contract unfreezes all exits) before launch.

      State: program active, alice and bob each staked 100 ether, one block later token.burn(address(staking), FUNDING + 1) removes the whole reward reserve plus 1 wei of principal, so balance = 200 ether - 1 and totalPrincipal = 200 ether.

      Input: alice calls withdrawBMC(100 ether, 0) and then withdrawBMC(1, 0).

      Expected by a reader of README 'Fees and solvency' (principal exits remain possible while backed): at least the 199.99… ether that is present can be withdrawn.

      Actual: both calls revert Insolvent() (verified in a scratch test against the current source).

      After any third party transfers 1 wei to the contract, both alice and bob withdraw their full 100 ether.

      If pro-rata exits are wanted the fix is a design change (cap each withdrawal at principal * balance / totalPrincipal when B < P); if not, document the exact all-or-nothing rule in INTERFACE.md so the UI can explain it.

  4. Audit mathAgent #1489found 1 low, 2 info

    The findings file is written and all three path/line/snippet triples match the tree exactly. The review is complete.

    Outcome: the arithmetic in src/BMCStaking.sol holds up. I found no critical, high or medium defects in the math, boundaries or numerical seams. Three substantiated items are recorded in .imd-findings.json: one low and two informational.

    What I verified

    • Index and remainder math. The 2^128-scaled index, exact mulmod fraction carry, and cumulative floor vesting keep paid + accrued <= allocated and paid + accrued + recovered <= budget under all sequences I could construct. The per-pool caps in claim cannot revert for a legitimate claim, and recoverRemainder never underflows.
    • Overflow bounds. Index total is below budget * 2^128, per-account products are bounded by the budget, NFT weight per account cannot exceed 1042 so the linked-cap product fits, and remainder sums stay under 2^129.
    • Adversarial fuzz. A tiny-budget sequence fuzz (7 to 255 raw units funded, 1 to 13 unit deposits, random stakes, exits, claims and time jumps, then full close-out with exact claim assertions) passed 2000 runs. Per-block checkpoint griefing with a near-maximum weight for 2000 blocks lost one raw unit in total.
    • Real PASS contract, all 500 tokens. With a minimal coordinator stand-in, all 40 Genesis weigh 5 and 3, pending Mystery tokens are rejected, out-of-order fulfillment waits for in-order finalization, the 37 Mystery Genesis weigh 2 and the 423 Standard weigh 1, and stake, accrue, withdraw and claim all reconcile.
    • Mainnet fork, read-only, block 26174679. The live BMC bytecode exposes only the standard ERC-20 functions plus burn, burnFrom and INITIAL_SUPPLY, with no owner, fee, pause or blocklist entry points. Funding, staking, claim, withdrawal and recovery against the real token moved exact amounts with no fee. No transaction was broadcast.

    Findings recorded

    1. Low. The committed real-PASS integration test uses a codeless VRF coordinator address, so mystery mint, VRF fulfillment, reveal ordering and tier weights for tokens 41 to 500 are untested in the repository. My extended run shows they behave correctly, but that coverage is not committed.
    2. Info. Bonus weight floors to zero for an account that meets a minimum below 5 raw units. Unreachable with any realistic configuration.
    3. Info. withdrawNFT to an EIP-7702-delegated EOA without a receiver hook reverts, as observed on the fork. The staker can choose another recipient, so nothing is locked.

    Limitations. The real Chainlink coordinator mock is not vendored, so I used a stand-in. Live PASS behaviour on mainnet could not be exercised because the collection is not deployed. Nothing outside test/scratch/ and the findings file was modified.

    • lowReal-PASS integration test cannot reach mystery mint, VRF fulfillment or reveal: coordinator is a codeless address and no coordinator mock is vendoredtest/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol:42

      The only test that uses the actual BMCIlluminatiPass.sol constructs it with address(0x1234) as the Chainlink VRF v2.5 coordinator. That address has no code, so any mintMystery() call in this fixture reverts when requestRandomWords returns no data, and lib/chainlink contains only interfaces (IVRFCoordinatorV2Plus, IVRFSubscriptionV2Plus, VRFV2PlusClient), no coordinator mock.

      Consequently none of the cases the brief requires against the real collection are exercised in-repo: all 40 sequential Genesis weights, Pending mystery tokens rejected by stakeNFT/nftWeight, VRF fulfillment, in-order finalizeReveals, revealed Mystery Genesis (2x) and Standard (1x) weights, configureCollection at totalSupply()==500, and staking/withdrawal after reveal. The test suite's '81 passed' therefore says nothing about tokens 41..500 against the real contract.

      Independent extension performed for this review (scratch test with a minimal coordinator stand-in that records requestRandomWords and calls rawFulfillRandomWords): minted 40 Genesis + 460 Mystery on the real contract; configureCollection accepted supply 500; nftWeight(1)==5, nftWeight(2..40)==3; nftWeight(41..500) and stakeNFT(41) revert PendingReveal while pending; fulfilling token 42 before 41 leaves 42 in RandomnessStored until 41 is fulfilled, after which both finalize in order; after all 460 fulfillments: 37 Genesis outcomes with artwork 41..77 weigh 2, 423 Standard outcomes with artwork 1..423 weigh 1; staking all 500 gives NFT pool weight 619 (5+117+74+423); after 365 days the sole staker's NFT pending equals 250000e18 - 1 raw unit (documented index dust) and claim() pays exactly that; all 500 withdraw to a third party.

      All passed.

      Expected: these paths covered by committed tests.

      Actual: not reachable in the committed fixture.

      Fix: vendor a coordinator mock (Chainlink's VRFCoordinatorV2_5Mock or a minimal stand-in under test/mocks) and add the above cases to test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol; keep the existing #1/#2 test.

      State: test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol setUp as committed (pass = new BMCIlluminatiPass(address(this), BMC_ADDRESS, address(0x1234))).

      Input: after 40 mintGenesis() calls, call pass.setVRFConfig(1, bytes32(uint256(1)), 500000, 3, false) then pass.mintMystery().

      Expected (per brief): mystery mint + VRF fulfillment + reveal + staking weights tested.

      Actual: mintMystery reverts because VRF_COORDINATOR (0x1234) has no code; no committed test covers tokens 41..500, Pending rejection, VRF, or finalizeReveals ordering.

      Verified separately with a stand-in coordinator: all tier/weight/ordering expectations hold on the real contract.

    • infoBonus weight floors to zero for an eligible account when linked exposure is below 5 raw units (reachable with a sub-5-unit minimumBMC)src/BMCStaking.sol:574

      Boundary x precision seam in refreshBonus. Eligibility is a.principal >= minimumBMC && a.nftWeight != 0, but the bonus weight is floor(linked * 2000 / 10000) = floor(linked / 5). configureProgram only requires minimumBMC != 0, so a minimum of 1..4 raw units is accepted; an account that satisfies the minimum with principal 1..4 and holds a staked NFT is 'eligible' yet gets bonusWeight 0 and earns nothing from the bonus pool, while a 5-unit account earns bonus weight 1.

      Concrete arithmetic: linked = min(4, 5 * (2^128-1)) = 4; 4 * 2000 / 10000 = 0.8 -> 0. With the 18-decimal BMC and any realistic minimum this is unreachable (100e18 minimum gives bonus 20e18), so impact is nil in the intended configuration; it is a configuration boundary where the eligibility predicate and the weight formula disagree.

      Fix: in configureProgram require minimumBMC_ >= 10_000 / BONUS_BPS (i.e. >= 5) so that eligibility implies a non-zero bonus weight, or document the floor.

      Inputs (Base.t.sol fixture): treasury.configureProgram(365 days, 1, type(uint128).max); configureCollection(mock); fund 1_000_000e18; activate. alice: stakeBMC(4, 0); mint PASS #1 (LegendaryGenesis) and stakeNFT(1).

      Expected: alice meets the configured minimum (4 >= 1) and holds NFT weight 5, so a non-zero bonus weight.

      Actual: accounts(alice).bonusWeight == 0 and pools[2].totalWeight == 0; after stakeBMC(1, 0) (principal 5) bonusWeight becomes 1.

      Verified with a scratch Foundry test (testBonusTruncatesToZeroAtTinyMinimum, passing assertions bonus==0 then bonus==1).

    • infowithdrawNFT to an EIP-7702-delegated EOA whose delegate lacks onERC721Received reverts; staker must pick a different recipientsrc/BMCStaking.sol:325

      Boundary: the ERC-721 safeTransferFrom in withdrawNFT invokes onERC721Received on any recipient with code. Since Pectra, a mainnet EOA can carry a 23-byte EIP-7702 delegation designator, so 'my own wallet address' may have code and the hook call goes to the delegate; if that delegate does not implement the hook, OpenZeppelin ERC721 reverts with ERC721InvalidReceiver(recipient).

      Observed on a mainnet fork at block 26174679: the forge-std makeAddr('alice') address 0x328809Bc894f92807417D2dAD6b7C998c1aFdac6 has 23 bytes of code (7702 designator) and withdrawNFT(1, thatAddress) reverted with ERC721InvalidReceiver. The staker is not locked out: withdrawNFT accepts any recipient != 0 and != staking, so they can withdraw to another address or clear the delegation.

      This is standard ERC-721 behaviour and not an accounting defect; it is recorded because the brief asks about emergency withdrawals and the committed tests only model a reverting contract receiver, not a delegated EOA. Fix (optional, no economic change): document that recipients with code must implement IERC721Receiver, or surface a clearer custom error; do not switch to transferFrom, which would allow NFTs to be lost to non-receiver contracts.

      State: mainnet fork at block 26174679 (or any address with an EIP-7702 designator and no onERC721Received).

      Steps: staker stakes PASS #1, advances one block, calls withdrawNFT(1, 0x328809Bc894f92807417D2dAD6b7C998c1aFdac6).

      Expected by a user: NFT returned to their EOA.

      Actual: revert ERC721InvalidReceiver(0x328809Bc894f92807417D2dAD6b7C998c1aFdac6); position remains intact and withdrawNFT(1, ) then succeeds.

  5. Audit economicsAgent #559found 1 medium, 1 low, 2 info

    The review is complete. The findings file is written and every path, line and snippet in it was validated against the tree.

    Outcome

    BMCStaking.sol holds up on the economics. I traced vesting, the per-weight index, fraction carry, the three recovery paths, the 55/25/15/5 split, the bonus formula and every insolvency guard, and found no exploitable accounting defect. Measured rounding dust after roughly 800 adversarial checkpoints was 5 raw units on 950,000 BMC paid. The real defects are at the integration seam and in the documentation.

    Findings written to .imd-findings.json

    • Medium, NFT reveal liveness. finalizeReveals only advances in strict mint order and the collection has no re-request path. Chainlink documents that VRF v2.5 requests made while a subscription is under-funded expire after 24 hours, contrary to the comment in the contract header. One unfulfilled request leaves that token and every later mystery token Pending forever, so stakeNFT rejects them for good and the 25% NFT and 15% bonus budgets are shared only by Genesis #1–40 and earlier reveals. Reproduced with a coordinator mock in test/scratch/RealPassMystery.t.sol.
    • Low, integration test gap. The only real-collection test builds the pass with coordinator 0x1234, which has no code, so mystery mint, VRF fulfillment, Pending rejection, revealed-tier weights and in-order finalization are never exercised against the real contract.
    • Info, stale ABI docs. docs/INTERFACE.md, README and docs/DEPLOYMENT.md describe isArtworkAssigned, a five-value Tier enum and a custom ERC165 id that neither the staking code nor the real pass implements. I confirmed the real pass returns false for that interface id.
    • Info, bonus economics. The 20% figure caps weight, not payout, as the brief asks. With fixture parameters a 100 BMC plus one Standard pass position captures the whole 150,000 BMC bonus budget against a base reward of about 55 BMC. This matches the README but needs explicit requester sign-off.

    Verification results

    • Existing suite: 81 tests pass, including invariants at 128 runs by 128 depth.
    • Real pass integration via my scratch coordinator mock: all 40 Genesis weights (5 and 3) correct, Pending mystery tokens rejected, revealed Mystery Genesis and Standard weighted 2 and 1 with artwork in range, stake and withdraw after reveal work.
    • Mainnet fork at block 26174700 with the real BMC token: funding, stake, claim, principal withdrawal, NFT withdrawal and reserve recovery all succeed with zero fee. The live bytecode exposes only standard ERC-20 plus burn, burnFrom and an initial-supply getter, with no owner, pause, fee or blocklist selectors. No transaction was broadcast; balances were set with cheatcodes.
    • Not run: Slither and Mythril are not installed. Live VRF behaviour cannot be exercised on a fork without a funded subscription.

    Remaining deployment blockers

    1. Decide a recovery path for expired VRF requests in the pass contract before any mystery mint is sold.
    2. Replace the placeholder coordinator in the integration test with a vendored mock and add the missing coverage.
    3. Correct the interface documentation so the UI and deployment checklist match the actual ABI.
    4. Obtain written acceptance of the bonus-weight interpretation and the launch parameters.

    • mediumStrict in-order reveal with no re-request path: one unfulfilled VRF request permanently leaves every later mystery NFT Pending and ineligible for stakingintegration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol:321

      finalizeReveals() only advances from token GENESIS_PHASE_SUPPLY + revealedCount + 1 and stops at the first token whose status is not RandomnessStored. The contract has no re-request, reroll or fallback (header lines 36-39 state this), and the header's justification is incorrect: Chainlink VRF v2.5 docs state that requests made while the subscription balance is below the minimum remain pending for up to 24 hours and then expire; they are not fulfilled later.

      A fulfillment callback that fails (coordinator records success=false) is likewise terminal. Hence if token N's request is never fulfilled, tokens N+1..500 keep tier Pending and artworkIdOf()==0 forever even though their random words were delivered and stored.

      Economic consequence for the staking program: BMCStaking.nftWeight() reverts PendingReveal for all of them, so holders who burned 350,000 BMC each can never stake, never earn from the 25% NFT budget and never qualify for the 15% bonus pool; the NFT and bonus budgets are then shared only by Genesis #1-40 and the few mystery tokens revealed before the gap, while idle emissions for zero-weight intervals flow back to the treasury.

      Trigger does not need a malicious actor: the subscription owner missing a 24h top-up window during a mint burst is enough, and any minter can push a batch of requests while the balance is low.

      Remediation: keep in-order fairness but add a bounded recovery, e.g. a permissionless or owner-triggered re-request for a token that has been AwaitingRandomness longer than a fixed window (which stores a fresh requestId and keeps the old one unmapped), or allow finalization to skip tokens whose request is provably expired; document the subscription funding SLA in the NFT and staking deployment docs.

      Deploy BMCIlluminatiPass with a coordinator mock that returns sequential request ids (test/scratch/RealPassMystery.t.sol::testUnfulfilledPredecessorBlocksAllLaterRevealsAndStaking).

      Mint 40 Genesis, then three mystery tokens 41, 42, 43.

      Deliver randomness only for 42 and 43 (41's request is treated as expired).

      State: revealStatusOf(42)==RandomnessStored, revealStatusOf(41)==AwaitingRandomness.

      Call finalizeReveals(100): expected progress on the tokens that have randomness or some recovery route; actual returns 0, pendingReveals()==3, tierOf(42)==Pending even after warping 200 days, and staking.stakeNFT(42) reverts PendingReveal().

      No function in the contract can change this state.

    • lowReal-collection integration test cannot exercise mystery mint, VRF fulfillment, reveal or Pending rejection because the coordinator is a codeless placeholdertest/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol:42

      The only test that uses the real BMCIlluminatiPass constructs it with VRF coordinator address(0x1234), which has no code, so mintMystery() can never succeed (the requestRandomWords call returns no data and reverts).

      Consequently the brief's required integration coverage is absent against the real contract: all 40 Genesis tokens, Pending mystery tokens rejected by stakeNFT, rawFulfillRandomWords fulfillment, revealed Mystery Genesis (weight 2) and Standard (weight 1), in-order finalization, and staking/withdrawal after reveal. Those paths are only covered through MockPass, whose tierOf/artworkIdOf are set directly and whose artwork formula differs from the real Fisher-Yates draw.

      The 43 developer tests mentioned in the brief are in the NFT repository and do not cover the staking integration.

      Remediation: vendor a minimal VRF coordinator mock (or Chainlink's VRFCoordinatorV2_5Mock) as ordinary files under lib/ and extend this test as in test/scratch/RealPassMystery.t.sol, which passes on the current code for the 40-Genesis, Pending-rejection, reveal, weight and withdraw-after-reveal paths.

      On the current test file, add vm.prank(alice); pass.mintMystery(); after minting 40 Genesis tokens: it reverts because address(0x1234) has no code. forge test --match-path test/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol therefore exercises only tokens #1 and #2. Running test/scratch/RealPassMystery.t.sol with a coordinator mock shows the missing paths behave correctly (expected weights 5/3/2/1 observed, Pending rejected) and also surfaces the stuck-predecessor defect reported separately.

    • infoInterface and README documentation describe an NFT ABI (isArtworkAssigned, 5-value Tier enum, custom ERC165 id) that neither the staking code nor the real BMCIlluminatiPass implementsdocs/INTERFACE.md:55

      docs/INTERFACE.md lines 50-59 tell integrators the collection must expose isArtworkAssigned(uint256) and a Tier enum Pending=0, Standard=1, RandomGenesis=2, EarlyGenesis=3, LegendaryGenesis=4 behind a custom ERC165 interface id.

      The shipped src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol and the real integration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol use Tier {Pending=0, LegendaryGenesis=1, Genesis=2, Standard=3} and artworkIdOf(uint256) (0 while pending); the real contract registers only the OpenZeppelin ERC721/ERC721Metadata ERC165 ids, and configureCollection() checks only IERC721.

      README.md lines 51-55 likewise speak of a collection-reported 'Early tier', 'Random Genesis tier' and an 'artwork-assignment flag', and docs/DEPLOYMENT.md step 4 instructs the multisig to check a custom ERC165 id that does not exist. The code itself is consistent with the real collection (verified: weights 5/3/2/1 and Pending rejection against BMCIlluminatiPass in test/scratch/RealPassMystery.t.sol).

      The risk is operational: a UI or deployment coordinator following the documented enum would map Standard=1 to LegendaryGenesis and Genesis=2 correctly by accident but LegendaryGenesis=4 and EarlyGenesis=3 to out-of-range/Standard, and the deployment checklist step for the custom ERC165 id can never be satisfied.

      Remediation: rewrite the ABI section to match IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol (tierOf, artworkIdOf, totalSupply; enum order Pending, LegendaryGenesis, Genesis, Standard) and drop the isArtworkAssigned and custom-interface-id requirements, or add them to the code if they are still intended.

      Compare docs/INTERFACE.md lines 53-56 with src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol lines 7-25: documented uint8(Tier.LegendaryGenesis)==4 vs actual 1; documented function isArtworkAssigned(uint256) is absent from both the interface and integration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol (grep returns no hits in src/ or integration/). Calling BMCIlluminatiPass.supportsInterface(type(IBMCIlluminatiPass).interfaceId) returns false, so the DEPLOYMENT.md step 4 check would fail against the real collection.

    • infoBonus pool is a fixed 15% budget split by weight, so a minimum-size combined position can capture a reward far above 20% of its base reward; confirm this economic interpretation is acceptedsrc/BMCStaking.sol:574

      Verified as requested: the 20% figure caps bonus weight (min(principal, nftWeight*linkedBMCPerWeight) * 20%), not payout, and nothing in the contract promises an APY. The consequence worth explicit sign-off is that the bonus pool has its own denominator, so the realised 'bonus' is unbounded relative to the base reward when participation is low.

      With the fixture parameters (funding 1,000,000 BMC, minimumBMC 100 BMC, linkedBMCPerWeight 500 BMC) an account staking exactly 100 BMC plus one Standard NFT has bonusWeight 20 BMC; if it is the only eligible account for the program it receives the entire 150,000 BMC bonus budget, i.e. 1,500x its principal, while a 1,000,000 BMC token-only staker receives at most 550,000 BMC from the token pool.

      Any holder of one Standard pass can therefore buy a disproportionate share of the 15% budget for minimumBMC of principal, and the per-NFT cap only matters once principal exceeds nftWeight*linkedBMCPerWeight. No code defect; this is the documented design (README 'Combined bonus rules'), but it should be an explicit requester decision and reflected in the UI copy.

      If a payout-relative cap is intended, the design must change (e.g. cap bonus accrual to 20% of the account's token-pool accrual and return the excess to idle emissions).

      On the StakingFixture (1,000,000 BMC funded, minimum 100 BMC, cap 500 BMC): alice stakes 100 BMC and stakes Standard NFT #41; bob stakes 1,000,000 BMC with no NFT; advance 365 days. pendingRewards(alice)[2] == 150,000 BMC (whole 15% budget, minus at most 1 unit of rounding) and pendingRewards(alice)[0] is about 55 BMC, i.e. the bonus is roughly 2,700x her base reward instead of 20%. CombinedStaking.t.sol::testBonusWeightIsNotAnAPYOrAPerAccountPayoutPercentage shows the same effect at a smaller ratio.

  6. Audit judgeAgent #1182found 1 medium, 3 low, 4 info

    Review complete. .imd-findings.json holds 8 verified findings, merged from the 13 specialist reports. No tracked file was modified; only the findings file and my scratch tests under test/scratch/ were written, and both are gitignored.

    What I verified

    The committed suite passes (81 tests). Every specialist claim was re-run against the code in scratch Foundry tests, and all reproduced. Duplicates across the four specialists collapsed into four shared findings. The Chainlink VRF v2.5 docs confirm the claim the medium finding rests on: underfunded requests expire after 24 hours and are not fulfilled later, which contradicts the pass contract's header comment.

    Findings kept, by severity

    • Medium. Strict mint-order reveal in BMCIlluminatiPass.finalizeReveals has no re-request path. One expired VRF request leaves that token and every later mystery token Pending forever, so staking rejects them with PendingReveal. Reproduced with a coordinator stub: fulfilling only token 42's request leaves it Pending after 200 days, and the holder cannot stake it.
    • Low. The one-shot collection binding checks only ERC-721 support and a supply cap. A plain ERC-721 with totalSupply() is accepted and bound irrevocably, and every NFT stake then reverts after funding is committed.
    • Low. The real-pass integration test uses a codeless coordinator, so mystery mint, fulfilment, reveal ordering, Pending rejection and revealed-tier staking are untested against the real contract. My extended run confirms the staking code is correct across all 500 tokens, with weights 5/3/2/1 and pool weight 619.
    • Low. The published interface docs, README and deployment guide describe an ABI the code does not ship. The tier enum is reordered and a nonexistent selector is named, so a UI built from them mislabels the Legendary pass as Standard.
    • Info. Four design-boundary notes with reproductions: bonus weight floors to zero when the minimum is under 5 raw units, safe NFT withdrawal to a 7702-delegated EOA without the receiver hook reverts, a 1-wei principal deficit blocks all withdrawals rather than pro-rata exits, and the 15% bonus pool has its own denominator so a minimum position can capture the whole budget. The last two are documented design choices the README itself asks the reviewer to confirm.

    Dropped or downgraded

    Nothing was dropped as irreproducible. The coverage gap and the documentation mismatch were each reported by three specialists at different severities. I set both to low, since neither is a contract defect but both would mislead an operator or integrator at launch.

    No proofs attached. No finding reached high or critical, so none carries a required proof test. The reproductions are described step by step in each finding and live in test/scratch/.

    Remaining deployment blockers from this review

    1. Decide the reveal-ordering fix for the pass contract before binding the collection.
    2. Add selector probing to configureCollection or align the deployment checklist with what the code actually checks.
    3. Rewrite the three documents to the shipped ABI.
    4. Vendor a coordinator mock and commit the extended real-pass tests.

    • mediumStrict mint-order reveal finalization with no re-request path: one expired VRF request permanently leaves every later mystery NFT Pending and ineligible for stakingintegration/contracts/BMCIlluminatiPass.sol:321

      finalizeReveals() starts at token GENESIS_PHASE_SUPPLY + revealedCount + 1 and stops at the first token whose status is not RandomnessStored; rawFulfillRandomWords() (line 312) only stores the word and then calls the same strictly ordered routine.

      Steps: alice mintMystery() -> token 41 / request 1; bob mintMystery() -> token 42 / request 2; coordinator fulfils ONLY request 2 (word 0xBEEF).

      State: revealStatusOf(42) == RandomnessStored. finalizeReveals(10) returns 0; tierOf(42) == Pending; artworkIdOf(42) == 0; after warping 200 days finalizeReveals(10) still returns 0. bob approves and calls staking.stakeNFT(42): reverts PendingReveal(). bob mints 43, request 3 is fulfilled, finalizeReveals(10) returns 0 and pendingReveals() == 3.

    • lowconfigureCollection binds any ERC-721 that exposes totalSupply(); a wrong-ABI collection is bound irrevocably and all NFT staking fails after funds are committedsrc/BMCStaking.sol:199

      configureCollection is the one-shot binding of the collection (line 182 rejects any second call) and is the only on-chain guard between the treasury's address choice and the NFT + combined-bonus program (40% of funding).

      Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testPlainERC721WithTotalSupplyIsAcceptedAndBoundForever.

      Setup: BMCStaking with a 3-owner/threshold-2 treasury; PlainEnumerableNFT = OpenZeppelin ERC721 plus a public uint256 totalSupply (no tierOf/artworkIdOf); mint token 1 to bob.

      Steps: treasury calls configureProgram(365 days, 100e18, 500e18) then configureCollection(plain, keccak256('mistaken review')).

      Expected: InvalidConfiguration (collection lacks the integration ABI).

      Actual: succeeds and collection() == plain.

      Then configureCollection(mockPass, ...) reverts InvalidConfiguration (one-shot), fundRewards(1_000_000e18) and activate() succeed, and bob's stakeNFT(1) and nftWeight(1) both revert on the missing tierOf selector.

    • lowReal BMC PASS integration test uses a codeless VRF coordinator, so mystery mint, VRF fulfilment, in-order reveal, Pending rejection and revealed-tier staking are untested against the real collectiontest/RealBMCPassIntegration.t.sol:42

      Reproduced in test/scratch/RealPassRepro.t.sol::testCodelessCoordinatorCannotMintMystery: with the committed fixture (pass = new BMCIlluminatiPass(address(this), BMC_ADDRESS, address(0x1234))), after 40 mintGenesis() calls and pass.setVRFConfig(1, bytes32(uint256(1)), 500000, 3, false), alice's pass.mintMystery() reverts (address(0x1234).code.length == 0).

    • lowdocs/INTERFACE.md, README.md and DEPLOYMENT.md publish an NFT ABI and Tier encoding (isArtworkAssigned, 5-value enum, custom ERC165 id) that contradict the shipped interface and the real passdocs/INTERFACE.md:55

      docs/INTERFACE.md lines 50-59 ('Proposed NFT integration ABI') tell UI and integration authors that the collection exposes isArtworkAssigned(uint256) returns (bool) behind a custom ERC165 interface id and encodes tiers as Pending=0, Standard=1, RandomGenesis=2, EarlyGenesis=3, LegendaryGenesis=4.

      Compare docs/INTERFACE.md lines 53-56 with src/interfaces/IBMCIlluminatiPass.sol lines 8-23: documented uint8(Tier.LegendaryGenesis)==4 vs actual 1; documented Standard==1 vs actual 3. grep -n isArtworkAssigned src/ integration/ returns nothing.

    • infoBonus weight floors to zero for an eligible account when linked exposure is below 5 raw units (reachable only with a sub-5-unit minimumBMC)src/BMCStaking.sol:574

      refreshBonus treats an account as eligible when a.principal >= minimumBMC && a.nftWeight != 0, but the bonus weight is floor(linked * 2000 / 10000) = floor(linked / 5). configureProgram (line 161) only requires minimumBMC != 0, so a minimum of 1..4 raw units is accepted; an account that meets the minimum with principal 1..4 and holds a staked NFT is 'eligible' yet gets bonusWeight 0 and earns nothing from the bonus pool, while a 5-unit account earns bonus weight 1.

      Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testBonusTruncatesToZeroAtTinyMinimum.

      Inputs: treasury.configureProgram(365 days, 1, 500e18); configureCollection(MockPass); fund 1,000,000e18; activate. alice: stakeBMC(4, 0); mint PASS #1 (LegendaryGenesis) to alice and stakeNFT(1).

      Expected: alice meets the configured minimum (4 >= 1) and holds NFT weight 5, so a non-zero bonus weight.

      Actual: accounts(alice).bonusWeight == 0 and pools[2].totalWeight == 0; after stakeBMC(1, 0) (principal 5) bonusWeight becomes 1.

    • infowithdrawNFT to a recipient whose code (e.g. an EIP-7702-delegated EOA) lacks onERC721Received reverts; staker must choose another recipientsrc/BMCStaking.sol:325

      withdrawNFT uses safeTransferFrom, which invokes onERC721Received on any recipient with code.

      Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testWithdrawNFTToCodeBearingRecipientWithoutHookReverts.

    • infoAny external principal deficit, even 1 wei, blocks every principal withdrawal until the shortfall is donated back; there is no partial or pro-rata exitsrc/BMCStaking.sol:608

      withdrawBMC reduces totalPrincipal by the gross amount before _sendBMC, and _sendBMC then requires the post-transfer balance to cover the remaining totalPrincipal.

      Reproduced in test/scratch/StakingEdgesRepro.t.sol::testOneWeiDeficitBlocksEveryPrincipalWithdrawal.

      Actual: both calls revert Insolvent().

      After any party transfers 1 wei to the contract, alice and bob both withdraw their full 100 ether.

    • infoBonus pool is a fixed 15% budget split by weight, so a minimum-size combined position can capture far more than 20% of its base reward; confirm this economic interpretation is acceptedsrc/BMCStaking.sol:574
