Bold cel-shaded cartoon, thick black outlines, flat colours, glossy highlights, 1980s disco palette. sweatbands, sequinned headbands, a small sparkly beret The base character's pose: chin slightly raised, confident smile, eyes glancing just past the camera; framed head and shoulders, shoulders running off the bottom edge; draw every item in that pose and perspective.
Anatomy of this character to respect: A very large afro surrounds the face and reaches past the shoulders; hats must sit on top of the hair volume (around y≈40-260), not on the skull at y≈255, and earrings or glasses arms will be hidden by hair. Lips are already drawn on the base with glossy lipstick.
Draw 16 hat variants as separate 1024x1024 RGBA PNG layers for a generative PFP collection, matching the attached base character's rendering style, lighting and line weight exactly. Colours and materials come from the request and the item itself (felt, leather, brass, wool, glass, fabric), NOT from the base character's skin or bone: an item must never look made of the character's own surface.
Make the 16 variants clearly different from each other in shape, material and colour, covering the full range the request names.
Placement: A HAT ONLY, never headgear that encloses the head: no helmet, hood, cowl, mask, balaclava, veil, visor, face plate, cheek guard, ear flaps or chin strap. A hat sits on top of the skull and ends in a band or brim around the crown; the brow, eyes, ears, cheeks and jaw stay bare (19 Oct: enclosing headgear came out as a mask perched on the head).
WORN ON THE ATTACHED BASE, at eye level in the base's own facing and perspective (never from below): the hat sits DOWN over the top of the head so its band and lower edge cover the upper cranium; never show the inside, underside, lining or opening of the hat, and never perch it on top with head visible under the brim.
The hat's lower edge wraps the crown and overlaps the top of the head, so its lowest pixel falls between y=270 and y=405 (crown is at y=36, eye line at y=435); centred on x=530; brims may extend past the 320px head. A hat whose lowest pixel is above y=270 looks like it is floating and is wrong.
Never squash, fold or bend a hat sideways to fit the picture: a hat too tall for the space above the head (from the top edge down to the crown at y=36) is drawn shorter, never cropped by the top edge. BIG HAIR on this character: headwear sits ON the hair, not on a skull hidden inside it, and its lowest pixel keeps to the same y=270..405 band.
A headband or sweatband wraps AROUND the hair across the forehead just above the eyebrows: a curved band that follows the round shape of the head and hair in perspective, bulging toward the viewer in the middle and disappearing behind the hair at both sides, with hair puffing out above and below it; never a straight flat bar laid across the picture. A hat or beret is sized to the hair, not the skull: it sits down into the hair with hair showing round its edge.
This layer is painted IN FRONT of the character, so never draw anything that should be behind it (the back of a hood, the back of a chain, the back of a hat brim behind the head): it would show in front. Only the hat pixels; everything else fully transparent. Write artifacts/hat_01.png .. hat_16.png and artifacts/hat.json: an array of {"file","name","weight"} with weights summing to 100, rarer lower.
