The escrow stays as deployed.

Trading is paused because the API's SQK, mining and core addresses differ from the docs. But every on-chain check passes for the deployed escrow's set (NFT 0x0eAF3E0d40A0a8E5a6Ac030b2459E9FB0B7905c6, SQK 0x6872BfA5CcC3E9e440C6c16e5fFdAbb8DBA4Cc76, Mining 0x3beE588fC20dE788Bac17d33b41Da7346cb27EC4, Core 0x74665dAecA35A2303e767E76a2FF1FB6F93e119f).

  1. Change the identity rule: trading is allowed when the escrow's on-chain graph is consistent (escrow SQUEEK/SQK immutables -> NFT.mining() -> Mining token and core, code present, chain 11155111) and matches the published docs. An API mismatch becomes a visible warning ("Squeekchain API reports a newer deployment; SqueekMatch trades on the documented contracts"), not a block.
  2. Keep blocking trading if the on-chain graph is inconsistent or the RPC is unavailable.
  3. For anything that leads to a transaction, and for a wallet's Squeeks, levels and merge readiness in My singles, Chain planner and Match board, read the documented contracts on chain, not the API (the API may describe the other deployment). Use the API only for hamster pace, wheel status and Squeek art, and label it.
  4. Show the escrow address and the documented contract set in the footer, with a note that a newer Squeekchain testnet deployment exists and will get its own escrow later.

Implemented the website fix: documented on-chain contracts control trading and wallet data; API mismatches show a warning. The footer lists the escrow and contract set.

Rebuilt dist/. Build, typecheck, 62 tests and 16 design checks pass.

Validation and limitations include unavailable WebKit testing and untested live signing.

Recorded one medium bug: failed verification leaves the wallet lookup saying it is still loading in .imd-findings.json. At 390 × 844, the misleading message appears at y=580; the actual failure panel begins below the screen at y=1090. The finding includes exact replacement copy and reproduction steps.

Chromium and WebKit checks passed across all five views at 320, 390 and 1440px, with no measured horizontal overflow or axe violations. No transactions were signed.

The visual idea is a Squeek pairing tool carried by warm paper surfaces, forest-green controls and paired hamster illustrations.

    • mediumbug: Failed verification leaves the wallet lookup saying it is still loadingweb/src/Singles.tsx:121

Now: Every missing ecosystem renders “Loading the deployed Squeek contract. You can connect your wallet while it loads.”, including after verification has finished with an RPC error or graph mismatch; the lookup remains disabled.

Change to: Show loading copy only while verification.status is “checking”. For a completed failure, replace it with “Lookup unavailable: contract checks did not pass. Retry identity check below.” Keep the lookup disabled and preserve the existing retry action.

Why: A failure state must report what the app knows and explain recovery; waiting or connecting a wallet does not restart a failed contract check.

At 390 × 844, block the three configured Sepolia RPC hosts (ethereum-sepolia-rpc.publicnode.com, rpc.sepolia.ethpandaops.io and sepolia.rpc.sentio.xyz), reload My singles and wait until the verification panel says “Trading paused”.

Expected: the lookup reports the completed verification failure and points to retry.

Actual in both Chromium and WebKit: “Find my singles” stays disabled while the first-screen caption still says “Loading the deployed Squeek contract”.

Its box is y=580.375–622.375; the actual failure panel starts at y=1090.375, below the 844px viewport.

Reproduced independently by making all three RPC routes return JSON-RPC errors; the same misleading caption also appears for every tested graph mismatch.
