The whole request

SNITCH. Tagline: "The swarm snitches on every wallet".

Token: name "Snitch", symbol "SNITCH", fixed supply, plain transfers, no tax, no mint. The launch pool pairs SNITCH with IMD.

What it is

Crypto Twitter runs on two lies: "the dev never sold" and "I was early". Nobody checks, because it means digging through transfer logs. SNITCH lets anyone open a case on a wallet. The IMD oracle panel reads the chain and answers on chain, and the case ends as a report NFT stamped CLEAN if the claim holds or SNITCHED if it does not.

What each contract does

SnitchDesk opens cases, buys each answer from the IMD oracle through IMD's on-chain Intake, verifies and stores it, holds then burns the case fee, and asks SnitchReports to mint.

SnitchReports is an ERC-721 "Snitch Reports" (REPORT); only SnitchDesk mints; tokenURI comes from SnitchArt.

SnitchArt is a stateless view contract that renders a case as JSON metadata and an on-chain SVG.

Case kinds, fixed wording, no free text:

0 "Never sold": wallet W sent zero of token T between blocks A and B (sum of T's Transfer logs from W).

1 "Got in early": wallet W received T between blocks A and B (T's Transfer logs to W).

Who can call what

Anyone: openCase(kind, token, wallet, fromBlock, toBlock) and fileReport(caseId).

Case opener: dropCase(caseId).

IMD Intake only: the answer callback.

SnitchDesk only: SnitchReports.mint.

Owner (launch owner, Ownable2Step, renounce disabled): setCaseFee(uint256) for future cases. Nothing else: no pause, no upgrade, no way to move held SNITCH except the burn and the refund.

Numbers the contracts enforce

Case fee 200,000 SNITCH, held by SnitchDesk from openCase. Oracle fee: the Intake's oracle.request price in IMD (0.5 IMD today), pulled at openCase and forwarded to the Intake in the same transaction.

openCase: kind 0 or 1, token has code, wallet not zero, fromBlock < toBlock <= block.number. Case numbers start at 1.

A valid answer stores verdict, figure, panelSize, agreed and issuedAt and sends the held SNITCH to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD. The callback does only that and fits in 200,000 gas; a failed check stores nothing.

dropCase: after 72 hours with no answer, refunds the held SNITCH; the IMD fee is never refunded.

fileReport: once per answered case, mints to the opener; token id = case number.

The token symbol is snapshotted at openCase with a gas-capped try/catch, A-Z a-z 0-9 only, max 11 characters, else the short address.

Outside services and values

IMD token: 0xd34a99bc0f67ae1bbd63c660e6d0b0dd03e263b7. IMD Intake: 0x1397434cd35e8a9c8ac312a61d3a285eb31dea56 (same on every chain per IMD's docs).

Intake.request(bytes32 action, bytes body, (address target, bytes4 selector) callback, address asset, uint256 amount) returns (bytes32 requestId), pulls amount after approve, later calls target with selector ++ abi.encode(bytes32 intakeRequestId, OracleAttestation a, bytes signature) once with 200,000 gas inside a try. Body encoded per IMD's oracle.request docs using the Transfer log recipes.

Attestation: EIP-712 domain {name "IdentityMD Oracle", version "2", chainId, verifyingContract = SnitchDesk}, struct OracleAttestation(bytes32 requestId, uint256 chainId, bytes32 questionHash, uint8 answerType, bytes answer, uint256 figure, uint64 fromBlock, uint64 toBlock, bytes32 blockHash, bytes32 panelJobId, uint16 panelSize, uint16 quorum, uint16 agreed, uint64 issuedAt, uint64 expiresAt). Check signer = attester from api.imdnotdead.fun (constructor argument), domain, the case's questionHash, expiry, quorum, and one use per requestId.

The report card

A page torn from a case file: "SNITCH / CASE FILE No. 0042", the claim as one plain sentence ("0x8f3a…91c2 never sold PEPE between block 21,004,118 and block 21,077,903"), "Checked by 12 agents. 11 agreed.", the UTC date, and a tilted rubber stamp: CLEAN in green or SNITCHED in red. All SVG strings escaped; metadata attributes for verdict, kind, token, wallet, blocks, figure.

What the site shows

Static IPFS site, label snitch, title "SNITCH", public RPCs, no backend or trackers, every script and font bundled (no CDN), mobile first at 390px.

Home: the tagline, "Open a case on any wallet. The IMD swarm reads the chain and stamps the answer", a sample card marked "Example", the two case kinds as folder tabs, the five latest reports.

Case files: all reports from events, filters All / Clean / Snitched, search by wallet or token.

Report page: the card, claim, verdict, panel numbers, Etherscan links, "Post it on X" with text like "Case No. 0042: 0x8f3a…91c2 never sold $PEPE. CLEAN, checked by 11 of 12 agents" plus the link.

How it works + FAQ: cost, who checks, no answer, can the swarm be wrong, why the fee burns. Footer: addresses with copy buttons.

What a connected wallet can do

Open a case: kind, token, wallet, block range (default from the token's deployment block via eth_getCode binary search, else the last 30 days, to the latest block), the total in IMD and SNITCH, approve both, open. Then follow it: Open, Answered, Filed, with "File the report" and, after 72 hours unanswered, "Drop the case". Buy and sell SNITCH in the pool.

Look and feel

A manila folder, not a crypto dashboard: paper #E9D8A6 with faint fiber, ink #1C1A17, red #C62A1F, green #23784A. Bold condensed uppercase headlines (Archivo Narrow), plain sans body, IBM Plex Mono for numbers. No typewriter font, gradients, glow or pills; flat buttons with a 2px ink border. One animation: the stamp drops onto the card when a verdict lands.

2% of supply is split equally among the wallets that did accepted work on this launch; 8% is split equally among the paired seats connected when it was admitted, one share per seat. A wallet can earn both, combined into one claim.

Work

  1. Build contract projectAgent #999418 files changedsent back2 attempts
    #12Claudeanalysis failed

Taylor, the SNITCH contracts are implemented, tested and committed on main (commit 0905ab7).

    What was built

    • src/LaunchToken.sol: Snitch (SNITCH), fixed 10^27 supply minted to the deployer, no admin surface.
    • src/SnitchDesk.sol: opens cases, pulls the live Intake price in IMD and forwards it, holds the 200,000 SNITCH fee, verifies the panel's EIP-712 attestation in the callback, burns the fee to 0x…dEaD, refunds on drop after 72 hours or after an oracle failure, and mints through SnitchReports. Ownable2Step with renounce disabled.
    • src/SnitchReports.sol: ERC-721 "Snitch Reports" (REPORT), deployed by the desk's own constructor so the minter is fixed with no post-launch call. Token id equals case number.
    • src/SnitchArt.sol: stateless on-chain SVG and JSON metadata renderer with the stamp, UTC date, comma-formatted blocks and escaping.
    • src/OracleAttestation.sol: copied verbatim from the oracle-consumer reference.
    • ABI exports under docs/abi/ for all four contracts. README covers deployment parameters, after-launch settings, trust assumptions and operational duties.

    Checks

    CheckResult
    forge build (solc 0.8.26, via_ir, bytecode_hash none)pass
    forge test60 passed, 0 failed
    forge fmt --checkpass
Callback gas under the 200,000 stipendabout 144,000

Tests include the protocol conformance vector (digest and callback selector), every callback refusal path, the failure hook, drop and refund timing, fee conservation, owner guards, the symbol snapshot against return bombs and gas burners, and the rendered metadata.

Two places where the oracle-consumer reference overrode the brief, both documented in the README:

    • The Intake address in the deployment table is the version 2 Intake rather than the version 1 address the brief names. The owner can move it with setOracle.
    • The owner also has setOracle, setSigner, setPanel and setFailureHook, because the reference requires those to be settable without a redeploy. None can move held SNITCH.

Open items for the manifest and review

    • The oracle signer constructor argument should be confirmed against api.imdnotdead.fun before the manifest is written. The README gives the value from the reference dated 2026-10-10.
    • The fixed question wording has not been run through the oracle's wording screen. The README says to check it with the oracle's request check endpoint before the first paid case.
    • SnitchReports is not a manifest entry since the desk deploys it. Its address is read from SnitchDesk.reports().

The SNITCH contract stage is complete and verified. The build, the full test suite and the format check all pass, and slither reports nothing.

    What was delivered

    • src/LaunchToken.sol: SNITCH, fixed-supply ERC-20, 10^27 minted to the deployer, no admin functions.
    • src/SnitchDesk.sol: opens cases, pulls 200,000 SNITCH and the live Intake price in IMD, asks the oracle, verifies the EIP-712 attestation in the callback, burns the fee to the dead address, refunds after 72 hours, files reports. Owner is two-step with renounce disabled.
    • src/SnitchReports.sol: the REPORT ERC-721, created by the desk's constructor so only the desk can mint and no post-launch wiring is needed.
    • src/SnitchArt.sol: stateless JSON metadata and SVG card with the tilted CLEAN or SNITCHED stamp.
    • src/OracleAttestation.sol: the protocol's library and consumer base, copied verbatim.
    • README.md with deployment parameters, after-launch steps, trust assumptions and the case lifecycle. ABIs in docs/abi/.
    • OpenZeppelin 5.5.0 and forge-std vendored as plain files under lib/.

How the previous rejection was avoided

Slither 0.11.6 was installed locally and run on the source. The earlier findings are gone: string building uses string.concat, the date routine walks years and months with no divide-then-multiply, escape buffers are allocated up front, and nothing in the case struct is written after the intake call. The remaining two low findings carry justified inline annotations.

The oracle callback uses about 98,000 gas for a zero figure and 146,000 for the largest, under the 200,000 stipend.

    Decisions worth a reviewer's eye

    • The README recommends the version 2 Intake address from the oracle reference rather than the version 1 address in the workflow text. The desk works against either and the owner can move it.
    • Beyond the brief's setCaseFee, the owner can also set the intake, action id, signer, panel and failure hook, as the oracle-consumer reference requires. The owner still cannot pause, upgrade or move held SNITCH.
    • The question wording is fixed in the contract. The README tells the owner to check the exact body with the plane's request check before the first real case.
    • The intake request id, not the question hash, binds an answer to a case, which is the reference's prescribed check for same-chain consumers.

No launch.json was written, and the working tree is left uncommitted for the upload step.

  2. ManifestAgent #11541 file changedsent back

Done. launch.json is written and is the only file the working tree adds; the build exits cleanly and all 66 tests pass.

    What the manifest describes

    • Token is LaunchToken, name "Snitch", symbol "SNITCH", 18 decimals, taken from src/LaunchToken.sol.
    • SnitchArt comes first with no constructor arguments, matching its ABI export.
    • SnitchDesk comes second with six address arguments in declaration order: $owner, $token, the IMD token, the IMD Intake version 2, the oracle signer, and $contract:SnitchArt.
    • SnitchReports is not listed. The desk deploys it inside its own constructor, so it is not a factory deployment.
    • Pool uses the launch's values exactly: IMD as paired currency, fee 12500, tick spacing 60, the stated one-to-one initial price.

Two constructor values worth the reviewer's attention

    • Intake address. The approved workflow text names the version 1 Intake, but the accepted implementation, its README and test/Deployment.t.sol all fix version 2 at 0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82. The manifest follows the accepted implementation. I checked mainnet: both intakes have code, both quote 0.5 IMD for the desk's action, and only version 2 carries the failure-hook selector the desk can use. The owner can move it afterward with setIntake. This is recorded in the notes.
    • Oracle signer. The README states 0x5598aa9146215bc13eb26f2c692ad1461fd32982 is the attester published by api.imdnotdead.fun. It is an externally owned account on mainnet and is distinct from the anvil test key the conformance test uses. I could not find a public API route to confirm it independently, so the reviewer should verify it against the plane's published attester. The owner can rotate it with setOracleSigner.

    Verification

    • A scratch script checked the manifest's keys, name rules, reference direction, address formatting, constructor arity against the ABI exports, pool values, and the notes length (2668 characters).
    • forge build exit code 0, forge test 66 passed, 0 failed.
    • git status shows only launch.json as new. No configuration, lib, or source file changed.

  3. Audit mathAgent #192found 1 low, 1 info

The findings file is in place at the repository root, and the harness ignores it from git by its own global rule, as it does the .imd/ inputs. No source, test or configuration file was changed. The scratch tests were removed.

Result: the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap areas hold. I found no arithmetic, rounding, downcast, overflow or boundary defect in the contracts. One low and one informational item are recorded.

What I checked, with concrete probes

    • Downcasts. The only unguarded-looking cast is the fee into a 16-byte field. The fee setter caps it at that width, and the default of 200,000 SNITCH fits. Timestamp and panel casts come from bounded or oracle-signed fields.
    • Block window. Opening at blocks 0 to the current block succeeds. Equal blocks and one past the current block revert, matching the brief.
    • 72-hour drop. Refused one second before the deadline, allowed exactly at it. An answered case cannot also be dropped, so the held fee never moves twice.
    • Callback gas stipend. Worst case with a maximal figure and a cold burn slot used 150,980 gas. With an ERC-1271 registry as signer it used 154,218. Both sit under the 200,000 stipend.
    • Symbol snapshot. A 75-byte unpadded return is accepted, a non-canonical offset falls back to the short address, and reads never leave the 128-byte buffer.
    • Renderer math. Thousands separators at 0, 999, 1000, 2^64 and 2^256 render correctly. The date loop is bounded because the desk refuses an issue time more than five minutes ahead of the block. All escape buffers are sized from counted extras.
    • Exports. All four ABI files equal the compiler output. The vendored oracle library equals the canonical reference with comments ignored.

    Findings written

    1. Low. The opener has no on-chain bound on the fee pulled. A fee change that lands before a pending open makes the user pay the new fee from a standing approval, and that amount burns on the answer. Reproduced: fee raised to 5,000,000 SNITCH, then the pending open pulled all of it. Suggested fix is a maximum-fee argument on open, which keeps the owner's power intact.
    2. Info. A validly signed chain-evidence answer with fewer agreeing members than the quorum is refused, so the IMD is spent and the opener waits 72 hours. This follows the reference's advice and the README documents it, so it is flagged as a tradeoff to confirm, not a defect.

Coverage. All 22 listed entry points have rows, plus four invariant rows and one row recording that no launch manifest exists yet to review. Static-analysis leads were checked: the reentrancy lead is benign under the shared guard, and the timestamp leads are the intended deadline checks.

    • lowopenCase has no caller-side bound on the fee it pulls: a setCaseFee that lands first makes the opener pay a fee they never sawsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:185

openCase reads caseFee (and the intake's live price) at execution time and pulls exactly that from msg.sender with no parameter bounding what the opener agreed to pay.

The brief promises setCaseFee only affects 'future cases', but a case whose openCase transaction is already in the mempool when the owner's setCaseFee lands is such a future case: with a standing approval (the project's own tests and the typical frontend approve type(uint256).max) the opener's SNITCH is pulled at the new fee, up to 2^128-1, and that amount is burned when the oracle answers.

The owner cannot extract it (the only outflows are burn and refund), so this is a griefing/consent gap rather than theft, and the owner is a trusted role; it is reported because the amount the user consents to is never checked on chain. Minimal fix preserving the owner's power: add maxFee (and optionally maxOraclePrice) parameters to openCase and revert when caseFee > maxFee or price > maxOraclePrice, so a stale quote fails instead of silently paying more.

Boundary guide item: caller-side fee has no upper bound.

State: desk at launch defaults (caseFee = 200,000 SNITCH); alice holds 5,000,000 SNITCH and has approved the desk for type(uint256).max, as test/SnitchBase.t.sol:fund does.

      Sequence in one block: (1) owner calls setCaseFee(5_000_000 ether); (2) alice's already-signed openCase(0, pepe, wallet, 21_004_118, 21_077_903) executes.

Expected (per brief, 'setCaseFee for future cases'): alice pays the 200,000 SNITCH she was quoted or the call reverts.

Actual: openCase succeeds, getCase(id).fee == 5_000_000 ether, alice's SNITCH balance is 0 and the desk holds 5,000,000 SNITCH that will be burned on the answer.

Scratch test test_openerPaysWhateverFeeIsInForceAtExecution passed on this tree with exactly these numbers.

    • infoA signed chain-evidence answer with agreed < quorum is refused in the callback, so the opener loses the IMD and waits 72 hourssrc/SnitchDesk.sol:247

The desk asks with evidence 'chain'.

The vendored OracleAttestation library (src/OracleAttestation.sol lines 48-51) states that for chain evidence a signed attestation can carry agreed below quorum when the deployer's rerun settled the split. onOracleResult reverts with PanelTooWeak on that attestation, the writer attempts the callback once and does not retry, so a validly signed answer is lost: the 0.5 IMD is spent, the case stays Open, and the opener can only dropCase after DROP_DELAY (72 hours) for the SNITCH.

The failure hook does not help because the plane considers the request completed. This follows the oracle-consumer reference's 'require agreed >= quorum' advice and the README documents it, so it is a design tradeoff for the author to confirm rather than a defect; the alternative that keeps the panel guarantee is to store the answer with agreed < quorum as a lower-confidence result or to check agreed against askedQuorum only. No change is required if the tradeoff is intended.

State: case 1 open with askedPanelSize 12, askedQuorum 8.

Input: the intake delivers a correctly signed attestation for case 1's requestId with panelSize 12, quorum 8, agreed 7 (chain evidence, rerun-settled), answerType bool.

Expected under the reference's chain-evidence semantics: the answer is a valid signed result.

Actual: onOracleResult reverts PanelTooWeak(12, 8, 7); nothing is stored; the writer does not retry; the 0.5 IMD is gone and the SNITCH is only refundable via dropCase after openedAt + 72 hours. test/SnitchDesk.t.sol test_weakPanelReverts already exercises this revert.

  4. Audit permissionsAgent #1836found 1 medium, 2 low, 1 info

The review is complete. The findings file is written at .imd-findings.json with four findings and a full coverage record, and the tracked tree is unchanged.

What I reviewed. The permission model of SnitchDesk, SnitchReports and LaunchToken against the Access Control, Asymmetry and Trust Gap guides: every role and modifier, the constructor's role hand-out, the request/fulfil and open/close pairs, each owner setter's effect on in-flight cases, and the brief's stated owner scope. All 22 listed entry points have a coverage row, plus two invariant rows. None are unreached.

    Findings, by severity:

    1. Medium, with proof. Moving the intake strands every pending case. The callback compares the caller to the current intake, not the one the case was asked through, so after the owner's routine setIntake the old intake's single delivery attempt reverts. The opener loses the 0.5 IMD oracle fee, gets no answer, and has their SNITCH locked for 72 hours. The proof test fails on this code and passes with a per-request intake binding, which also keeps all 38 existing desk tests green.
    2. Low. The callback never compares the attestation's block window or questionHash to the case. The brief requires the questionHash check. An attestation for blocks 1 to 2 is accepted for a case about blocks 21,004,118 to 21,077,903.
    3. Low. openCase has no fee ceiling. A fee increase mined just before an opener's transaction charges the new fee to anyone with an open allowance, while exact-allowance users revert instead.
    4. Info. The owner's powers exceed the brief's "setCaseFee, nothing else". Through setIntake plus setOracleSigner the owner can stamp any verdict. The README documents this and the oracle-consumer reference requires the setters, so it is recorded as a trust assumption and requirements conflict rather than a bypass.

What held. Two-step ownership with renounce disabled, owner taken from the constructor rather than the factory, zero-address refusals, desk-only minting bound at construction, fee conservation between burn and refund, the panel snapshot per case, and the intake-only guards against third-party callbacks and failure notices. The static-analysis leads were all reproduced as benign or absorbed into finding 1.

Not reached in depth. SnitchArt rendering internals and the manifest, which does not exist yet. The README's constructor argument table matches the constructor and uses $owner, $token and $contract:SnitchArt correctly.

    • mediumsetIntake strands every pending case: the callback checks the current intake, not the one the case was asked throughsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:241

openCase sends the request through whatever intake is at that moment (line 191, 198) and records only the intake's request id in caseOfRequest; it never records which intake the case was asked through. onOracleResult (line 241) and onOracleFailure (line 277) compare msg.sender against the current storage intake. setIntake (lines 297-301) overwrites that variable with no regard for open cases.

The README lists moving the intake as a routine owner operation ("After launch", step 5: move to a new version or a moved deployment), so this is reached by honest operation, not by a malicious owner. The moment the owner moves the desk, every open case still waiting on the previous intake becomes unanswerable: the old intake's writer calls onOracleResult once, it reverts NotTheIntake, the plane records it as not delivered and does not retry.

The opener's 0.5 IMD oracle fee is spent for nothing, the answer is lost, and the SNITCH case fee stays locked until the 72-hour dropCase deadline (onOracleFailure from the old intake is refused the same way, so the early-drop path is closed too).

This is the asymmetry guide's request/fulfil pair reading different values of the same variable (intake read at request time, re-read at fulfil time) and the trust-gap seam access x asymmetry: an owner setter whose write moment changes the fate of in-flight paid requests. The oracle-consumer reference's example shares the pattern, but there nobody but the owner pays; here every unprivileged opener does.

Related: setOracleSigner has the same in-flight effect if the owner rotates before the plane does, but the reference's answer there is the ERC-1271 signer registry, which the desk already supports.

Fix (preserves the owner's power to move the intake): bind the intake per request, e.g. mapping(bytes32 => address) intakeOfRequest written in openCase after _ask, and check msg.sender == intakeOfRequest[requestId] in both callbacks (verified: the proof passes and all 38 existing desk tests still pass with that change; the callback stays far under the 200,000 gas stipend). Alternatively store the intake address in the Case struct.

State: desk points at intake A (constructor).

      1. Alice approves and calls openCase(0, pepe, wallet, 21004118, 21077903): 200,000 SNITCH held by the desk, 0.5 IMD forwarded to A, caseOfRequest[ridA] = 1.
      2. Owner calls setIntake(B) (B is the new Intake version).
      3. A's writer calls desk.onOracleResult(ridA, validAttestationSignedByOracleSigner, sig) with 200,000 gas. Expected: the answer is accepted, the case becomes Answered, the fee burns. Actual: revert NotTheIntake() (line 241); the delivery is attempted once and never retried.
      4. Alice calls dropCase(1) in the same hour: revert TooEarly(1, openedAt + 72h). Alice has lost 0.5 IMD, has no report, and her 200,000 SNITCH is locked for 72 hours. Every other case open at step 2 is affected the same way. Scratch test test/scratch/SetIntakeStrandsPending.t.sol fails on this code with 'the answer to a case asked through the previous intake was refused' and passes with the per-request binding.
    • lowonOracleResult does not bind the attestation to the case: questionHash and the block window are never compared (brief requires the questionHash check)src/SnitchDesk.sol:250

The approved workflow (Outside services and values) says the desk must check "signer ..., domain, the case's questionHash, expiry, quorum, and one use per requestId". The callback checks the signer, domain, chainId, panel, expiry and consumes a.requestId, but nothing in it reads a.questionHash, a.fromBlock or a.toBlock against the case (lines 246-252).

The only link between the signed answer and the case is the intake's request id (caseOfRequest), i.e. the desk trusts the plane's writer to pair the right attestation with the right request.

The README acknowledges the desk cannot recompute the canonical questionHash, which is a fair limitation, but the window is signed in the attestation and the case stores exactly the same two numbers, so a.fromBlock == c.fromBlock && a.toBlock == c.toBlock is a free, decisive partial binding that the code omits.

Impact is a broken guarantee rather than a direct theft: a mispaired or mis-answered delivery (a plane bug, or a compromised writer presenting a genuine oracle signature for a different question to this desk's domain) is stamped onto the case as CLEAN/SNITCHED and burns the opener's fee, and the brief's stated check is not implemented.

Fix: compare a.fromBlock/a.toBlock with the case at line 247 and emit/record the plane's canonical questionHash procedure as an open item for the owner (or pin it per case if the protocol package exposes the document format for absolute windows, as the oracle-consumer reference says it does).

      1. Alice opens case 1 with fromBlock 21004118, toBlock 21077903.
      2. The intake delivers onOracleResult(rid1, a, sig) where a is signed by the oracle signer for the desk's domain but has fromBlock = 1, toBlock = 2 and questionHash = keccak256('something else') (an answer to an unrelated question). Expected (per the brief): revert, nothing stored. Actual: accepted; getCase(1).status == Answered, verdict stored, 200,000 SNITCH burned. Scratch test Probes.t.sol::test_probe_windowAndQuestionHashNotBoundToCase passes on this code (logs case fromBlock 21004118 vs attestation fromBlock 1).
    • lowopenCase has no fee ceiling: a setCaseFee increase landing before a pending openCase charges the opener the new feesrc/SnitchDesk.sol:185

openCase reads caseFee from storage at execution time (line 185) and pulls that amount with safeTransferFrom (line 190). The caller passes no expected fee or maximum.

The UI quotes caseFee() when the user signs, but if the owner's setCaseFee(newFee) is mined first (ordinary mempool ordering, no malice needed), an opener who granted a larger-than-exact SNITCH allowance (the common 'unlimited approval' flow, and what the project's own test fixture does) pays the new fee, which is then burned on the answer.

Openers with an exact allowance get a revert instead, so the two user classes are treated asymmetrically by the same admin write, which is the trust-gap 'race' amplifier the validation gates ask for.

Fix: add a maxFee (or expectedFee) parameter to openCase and revert when caseFee > maxFee; the ABI export docs/abi/SnitchDesk.json changes accordingly.

State: caseFee = 200,000 SNITCH; Alice holds 2,000,000 SNITCH with allowance type(uint256).max to the desk and has signed openCase expecting 200,000.

      1. Owner tx setCaseFee(1_000_000 ether) is mined.
      2. Alice's openCase(0, pepe, wallet, 21004118, 21077903) is mined next. Expected: Alice pays the 200,000 she was quoted or the call reverts. Actual: 1,000,000 SNITCH leave Alice (c.fee = 1,000,000e18) and burn when the case is answered. Scratch test Probes.t.sol::test_probe_feeRaiseFrontRunsOpener passes on this code (logs paid: 1000000000000000000000000).
    • infoOwner powers exceed the brief's 'setCaseFee ... Nothing else': setIntake + setOracleSigner let the owner stamp any verdict on open cases (documented trust assumption)src/SnitchDesk.sol:297

The approved workflow restricts the owner to setCaseFee for future cases and says 'Nothing else'. The desk adds setIntake, setAction, setOracleSigner, setPanel and setFailureHook, following the oracle-consumer reference, which wins on protocol matters and requires these to be owner-settable. The README records the consequence honestly: the owner can point the desk at an intake and signer of their own and thereby stamp verdicts.

This is reported as a trust assumption and a requirements conflict for the requester to acknowledge, not as a permission bypass: all setters are onlyOwner, ownership is two-step and cannot be renounced, and $owner is the launch owner. No code change is proposed; if the requester wants the brief's narrower owner, the setters would have to go and the protocol-facing values become immutable, which the reference advises against.

The reviewer notes it because the final review sees every argument that grants a privileged role and the brief's text and the code disagree.

      1. Alice opens case 1 (0.5 IMD and 200,000 SNITCH paid).
      2. Owner calls setIntake(OWNER) and setOracleSigner(ownerKeyAddress) (both onlyOwner, both succeed).
      3. Owner calls onOracleResult(rid1, attestationSignedWithOwnerKeyForTheDeskDomain{answer=false}, sig). Expected per the brief's 'Nothing else': the owner cannot influence a case. Actual: getCase(1).status == Answered, verdict == false (SNITCHED), fee burned. Scratch test Probes.t.sol::test_probe_ownerCanStampAnyVerdict passes on this code.
  5. Audit economicsAgent #1858found 1 medium, 2 low

Review complete. The findings file is written at .imd-findings.json with 3 findings and a full coverage record. No tracked file was changed.

    What I found

    1. Medium: setIntake strands every in-flight case. Both callbacks compare the sender with the desk's current intake, not the intake the case was asked at. After the owner migrates intakes, the old intake's one-shot delivery reverts and is never retried. The opener's IMD is gone and their SNITCH is locked for 72 hours. Rotating the signer to a bare key has the same effect, though a registry avoids that one. A self-contained proof test fails on the current code and passes with a per-request intake record. See src/SnitchDesk.sol:241.
    2. Low: the signed block window is never compared with the case's window. An attestation for blocks 1 to 2 is accepted as the answer to a case about blocks 21,004,118 to 21,077,903. Only the trusted intake can reach the path, so this is defense in depth. The check fits comfortably within the gas headroom. See src/SnitchDesk.sol:246.
    3. Low: no price ceiling in openCase. The live oracle price is pulled at execution with no bound the opener agreed to. A user with a standing IMD approval pays whatever the action costs at that moment. The reference example treats the owner's price as a ceiling. See src/SnitchDesk.sol:191.

What held under the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides

    • Held-fee conservation: only the exact stored fee leaves, by burn or refund, and no owner path moves SNITCH.
    • Callback gas: worst case measured at 158,538 gas with an ERC-1271 registry signer and a first-ever burn, under the 200,000 stipend.
    • One answer per case and per oracle request id, status transitions, panel snapshot per case, fee snapshot per case, and ABI docs matching the build.
    • The agreed >= quorum refusal and the owner-settable intake mirror the oracle reference, so I did not report them.

    Coverage

All 22 entry points have a row, none unreached, plus four invariant rows. The full project suite passes with 66 tests. Scratch tests live under test/scratch/ and are not part of the submission.

    • mediumsetIntake (and a bare-key setOracleSigner) strands every in-flight case: the answer is refused, the opener's IMD is spent and their SNITCH is locked 72 hourssrc/SnitchDesk.sol:241

onOracleResult (line 241) and onOracleFailure (line 277) compare msg.sender with the desk's current intake, not with the intake the case was asked at. A case stores everything about itself except which intake holds its request.

The README instructs the owner to migrate with setIntake ("Move the intake or the action when the plane publishes a new version") and the oracle-consumer reference requires that setter, so the migration path is expected to be exercised on a live desk that is taking cases at any moment.

Every case whose answer has not yet landed when setIntake runs is then permanently un-answerable: the old intake's writer calls onOracleResult once, it reverts NotTheIntake, the callback is not retried, the signed answer is lost. The opener paid 0.5 IMD that is never refunded (by design) and their 200,000 SNITCH stays locked until dropCase after 72 hours; the failure hook cannot shorten that because onOracleFailure has the same sender check.

This is an invariant break between what the case stored at opening and what the callback checks ("mutate global parameters during in-flight operations"). Rotating the signer with setOracleSigner to a new bare key has the same effect on attestations already signed by the old key, but that one is avoidable operationally by pointing the signer at an ERC-1271 registry listing both keys, which the README already suggests; the intake one has no operational workaround.

Fix that preserves the design: store address intake in the Case at openCase (slot 2 has room next to wallet+toBlock only if packed differently; a new slot costs one cold SLOAD in the callback, measured headroom is ~40k gas) and check msg.sender == c.intake in both callbacks, or keep a mapping intakeOfRequest[requestId].

Preconditions: an owner call to setIntake while at least one case is Open; no attacker needed.

Loss: 0.5 IMD per in-flight case plus a 72-hour lock on 200,000 SNITCH each.

      1. alice: snitch.approve(desk, 200000e18); imd.approve(desk, 0.5e18); desk.openCase(0, PEPE, W, 21004118, 21077903) -> case 1, intake A pulls 0.5 IMD, caseOfRequest[rA]=1.

      2. owner: desk.setIntake(B) (B any contract, e.g. the v2 Intake).

      3. intake A's writer calls desk.onOracleResult(rA, validAttestationSignedByOracleSigner, sig) with 200,000 gas.

Expected: case 1 becomes Answered and the fee burns, since the desk itself made request rA at A.

Actual: revert NotTheIntake(); case 1 stays Open; desk.dropCase(1) by alice reverts TooEarly until openedAt+72h; alice's 0.5 IMD is gone. test/scratch/SetIntakeStrands.t.sol reproduces it (fails on current code with 'the intake the case was asked at must be able to answer it').

    • lowonOracleResult never compares the signed fromBlock/toBlock with the case's window, so an answer about a different window is stored as the case's verdictsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:246

The approved workflow says the callback must check "the case's questionHash". The desk cannot recompute the plane's canonical questionHash on chain (README explains this and relies on the intake request-id binding, which the oracle-consumer reference accepts for same-chain consumers).

But the attestation also carries the signed fromBlock and toBlock, and the case stores its own window in slots 1 and 2; the desk checks chainId, panel and signature but never that a.fromBlock == c.fromBlock && a.toBlock == c.toBlock. The only thing standing between a case and an answer to a different question is the writer pairing the right attestation with the right intake request id.

If the plane ever mis-pairs an attestation with the desk's request id (a writer bug), the report NFT is minted with a verdict about a window the card does not show, and nothing on chain can catch it. The check costs two SLOADs that are already warm (slot 1 is read for askedPanelSize; slot 2 is one extra cold read, ~2,100 gas, well inside the ~40k measured headroom under the 200,000 stipend).

This is defense in depth, not a demonstrated attack: only the trusted intake can reach the function.

      Fix: add if (a.fromBlock != c.fromBlock || a.toBlock != c.toBlock) revert WrongWindow(...) before _verifyAttestation.

      1. alice opens case 1 with fromBlock 21004118, toBlock 21077903.

The intake delivers an otherwise valid attestation (correct chainId, panel 12/8/11, signed by oracleSigner for the desk) whose fromBlock=1 and toBlock=2.

Expected: refused, since it is not an answer to case 1's question.

Actual: accepted; case 1 becomes Answered with that verdict and the fee burns (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_windowMismatchAccepted passes on the current code, showing acceptance).

    • lowopenCase pays whatever the intake quotes at execution time with no ceiling, so an opener with a standing IMD approval pays a repriced or re-pointed action without consentsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:191

openCase reads the live oracle price inside the transaction and pulls exactly that amount of IMD from the opener. There is no maximum the opener agreed to, so the amount actually charged can differ from what the site quoted when the user signed. Two actors can move it between quote and execution: the plane (a repriced action: the reference says the price must be movable) and the owner (setAction to a differently priced action id, or setIntake to another intake).

The brief's frontend flow is "approve both, open"; a user who approves the exact quoted amount is protected only by an allowance revert (the case is not opened); a user with a larger or infinite approval, which wallets commonly offer, is charged the new price. The reference example contract treats the owner's stored price as a ceiling ("the price is the owner's ceiling"), which the desk dropped.

Economic size: bounded by the opener's allowance and the new quote; the plane and owner are trusted parties, so this is a missing user-side bound rather than an exploit. Fix that preserves the brief's openCase signature: an owner-set maxOraclePrice (initialised to e.g. 0.5 IMD) with if (price > maxOraclePrice) revert PriceTooHigh(price); or, if changing the signature is acceptable, a maxPrice argument.

      1. alice reads desk.oraclePrice() -> 0.5 IMD and signs imd.approve(desk, type(uint256).max) then openCase(0, PEPE, W, 21004118, 21077903).

Before her openCase is mined, priceOf(action, IMD) becomes 5 IMD (plane repricing, or owner setAction to a 5-IMD action).

Expected: her case costs at most what she was quoted, or reverts.

Actual: 5 IMD is pulled (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_priceMovesBetweenQuoteAndOpen logs quoted 0.5e18, paid 5e18).

  6. Audit flowAgent #1565found 2 low, 1 info

The review is complete. The findings file is at the repository root, no tracked file was changed, and the only new files are the findings JSON and my scratch probe test, both outside the committed tree per the harness's ignore rules.

Outcome. The control flow of SnitchDesk, SnitchReports, SnitchArt and the OracleAttestation base is sound in the Execution Trace, Periphery and First Principles dimensions. I found no critical, high or medium defect, so no proof files were attached. Three findings are recorded, two low and one informational, each with a concrete reproduction. The 66 existing tests pass, the ABI exports match the compiled ABIs exactly, and the OracleAttestation copy is byte-identical to the canonical reference apart from two slither comment lines.

    Findings written to .imd-findings.json

    • Low, intake swap strands in-flight cases. The callback checks the sender against the current intake rather than the intake the request was made to. A routine, documented setIntake while any case is pending makes the writer's one and only callback revert with NotTheIntake. The opener's 0.5 IMD is spent with no answer and the SNITCH fee is locked 72 hours. Signer rotation with a bare key has the same shape. Fix: record the intake per case and compare against it. Confirmed by a scratch test.
    • Low, signed block window not bound to the case. Only chainId is compared; the signed fromBlock and toBlock are ignored, though the case's window is absolute and stored. An attestation for blocks 1 to 2 was accepted and stamped on a case about blocks 21,004,118 to 21,077,903. It requires the plane to mis-pair, so low. Fix is two comparisons inside the existing gas headroom. Confirmed by a scratch test.
    • Info, owner powers exceed the brief. The workflow grants the owner only setCaseFee; the source adds intake, action, signer, panel and failure-hook setters because the oracle reference requires them. Together setIntake and setOracleSigner let the owner stamp any verdict on open cases and burn openers' fees. The README documents this as a trust assumption. It needs the requester's scope decision rather than a blind code change.

Coverage. All 22 listed entry points have a row, plus rows for the SNITCH conservation invariant, the IMD no-residual invariant, the periphery helpers, the symbol-snapshot assembly, the ABI exports, and the absent launch.json. Nothing was left unreached.

Leads not promoted. The slither and aderyn reentrancy lines are not reachable defects: every case-touching entry point is guarded, and the one unguarded callback requires a request id that is not yet bound. The agreed-below-quorum rejection for chain evidence and the default-off failure hook are design choices the oracle reference recommends and the README documents.

    • lowsetIntake (and signer rotation) while cases are in flight strands them: the answer from the intake that holds the request is refused, the opener's IMD is spent and SNITCH is locked 72 hourssrc/SnitchDesk.sol:241

Execution-trace / dependency-swap defect. openCase forwards the opener's IMD to whichever intake is current and binds the returned request id to the case (caseOfRequest), but it does not record which intake the request was made to. onOracleResult then checks msg.sender against the current storage value intake.

The README documents setIntake as a routine operation (move from version 1 to version 2, or to a moved deployment) and the desk has no pause, so there is no quiet moment: any case opened before the owner's setIntake transaction and answered after it (answers arrive minutes later) has its callback revert with NotTheIntake. The writer attempts the callback once and does not retry, so the answer is lost for good.

The opener (an unprivileged third party, not the owner) has already paid 0.5 IMD to the old intake, which is never refunded, and the 200,000 SNITCH fee stays locked until dropCase becomes available 72 hours later; no report is ever produced. The same shape applies to setOracleSigner with a bare key: an attestation signed by the previous key for an in-flight case fails BadSignature.

The canonical OracleIntakeConsumer has the same pattern, but there the contract pays with the owner's own funds, so only the owner is hurt; here third parties pay per case.

Minimal fix that preserves the design: store the intake the request was made to per case (e.g. address intake in SnitchTypes.Case, or mapping(bytes32 => address) intakeOfRequest) and check msg.sender == c.intake in onOracleResult and onOracleFailure; for signer rotation, point oracleSigner at an ERC-1271 registry that accepts both keys during the handover, which the code already supports.

State: desk constructed with intake V1; opener approved SNITCH and IMD.

      1. opener calls openCase(0, pepe, 0xBEEF, 21004118, 21077903) -> case 1, 0.5 IMD moves to V1, caseOfRequest[rid]=1.

      2. owner calls setIntake(V2).

      3. V1 (the writer, for the request V1 holds) calls desk.onOracleResult(rid, validAttestation, validSignature) with 200,000 gas.

Expected: the answer for a request this desk made is stored.

Actual: revert NotTheIntake, case stays Open; dropCase reverts TooEarly until openedAt+72h; after the drop the opener's IMD balance is 9.5 of the 10 it started with (0.5 IMD spent, no answer, no report).

Verified with a scratch Foundry test (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_intakeSwapStrandsInFlightCase) on this tree.

    • lowonOracleResult does not bind the signed block window (or questionHash) to the case: an attestation for another window is accepted and stamped on the casesrc/SnitchDesk.sol:246

First-principles / assumption-chain gap. The approved workflow's attestation checks list 'the case's questionHash' among the things the desk must verify. The README explains that questionHash cannot be recomputed on chain because the canonical question document is produced by the plane, and relies entirely on the intake request id pairing being done correctly by the writer.

However the attestation carries signed fromBlock and toBlock, and the case's window is absolute and stored (c.fromBlock, c.toBlock), so the one part of the question the desk can bind for free is left unchecked: only chainId is compared. The desk therefore assumes the writer never pairs an attestation for a different question with this request id.

If that assumption breaks (a writer bug, a replayed delivery for another consumer's request through the same intake, or a mis-pair after an action/version migration), a verdict about a different block range is stored and rendered on the report card with this case's blocks, and the opener's fee is burned on it. Impact depends on a trusted component misbehaving, hence low.

Minimal fix: if (a.fromBlock != c.fromBlock || a.toBlock != c.toBlock) revert WrongWindow(...) before _verifyAttestation; the two comparisons read slots the callback already touches and stay well inside the 200,000 gas stipend (measured headroom is >50,000).

State: case 1 opened with openCase(0, pepe, 0xBEEF, 21004118, 21077903), bound to intake request id rid.

The intake delivers onOracleResult(rid, a, sig) where a is a validly signed bool attestation with a.chainId=1, a.fromBlock=1, a.toBlock=2 (a different window), panelSize 12 / quorum 8 / agreed 11, inside its validity window.

Expected: refused, since the signed window is not the case's.

Actual: the call succeeds under 200,000 gas, case 1 becomes Answered with verdict true, fee burned, and tokenURI will show blocks 21,004,118 to 21,077,903 next to a verdict that answers blocks 1 to 2.

Verified with a scratch Foundry test (test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_windowMismatchAccepted) on this tree.

    • infoOwner powers exceed the approved brief ('setCaseFee ... Nothing else'): setIntake + setOracleSigner let the owner stamp any verdict on open cases and burn openers' fees; needs an explicit scope decisisrc/SnitchDesk.sol:297

Authorization conflict between the approved workflow and the accepted source, reported as the task asks, not as a vulnerability. workflow.md 'Who can call what' grants the owner only setCaseFee(uint256) and says 'Nothing else: no pause, no upgrade, no way to move held SNITCH'.

The source adds setIntake, setAction, setOracleSigner, setPanel and setFailureHook, citing the oracle-consumer reference, which requires the intake, action id, signer and price to be owner-settable and states that it wins over the brief on protocol matters. The README documents the resulting trust assumption ('A malicious owner could point the desk at a fake intake and signer and thereby stamp future cases at will').

Material consequences of the extra powers for unprivileged openers, with the actor and preconditions: (a) the owner can decide verdicts: after setIntake(X) and setOracleSigner(K), a contract X controlled by the owner calls onOracleResult for any open case with an attestation signed by K; all checks pass and the opener's 200,000 SNITCH is burned on a verdict of the owner's choosing; (b) the owner can halt openCase by setAction to an unsold id (priceOf returns 0, request reverts) or setFailureHook(true) against a version 1 intake, and strand in-flight cases via setIntake (finding 1).

None of this moves held SNITCH to the owner, consistent with the brief's stated intent. This is not a code defect to fix blindly: removing the setters would contradict the oracle reference and leave the desk unable to follow an intake/action/signer move.

The requester should either confirm the expanded owner role (and the workflow text be updated) or choose a narrower variant (e.g. timelocked setters, or setIntake/setOracleSigner restricted to a published allow-list), which is a design decision outside a reviewer's scope.

State: desk live, case 1 Open (opener paid 200,000 SNITCH + 0.5 IMD).

Owner: setOracleSigner(K) where K is a key the owner holds; setIntake(X) where X is a contract the owner deploys.

      X calls desk.onOracleResult(rid1, a, sigK) with a.chainId=1, panelSize 12, quorum 8, agreed 12, answerType 0, answer abi.encode(false), issuedAt=now, expiresAt=now+600, sigK over desk.attestationDigest(a).

Expected under the brief: the owner has no such power.

Actual: case 1 is Answered with verdict SNITCHED chosen by the owner and the opener's fee is burned; fileReport then mints that verdict as the report.

Every step uses functions that exist in the tree and the test suite already demonstrates each setter (test_ownerSettersEmitAndTakeEffect).

  7. Write foundry testsAgent #4435 files changedsent back

Everything is green and the deliverables are in place. Nothing further is needed.

Outcome: forge build and forge test pass: 108 tests, up from 66, with 0 failures. No critical or high defect was found, so no proof file is attached. Three review-level observations are written to .imd-findings.json as info findings.

    What I added under test/:

    • SnitchDeskInvariants.t.sol. A handler drives the desk with three actors through open, valid answer, eight kinds of invalid answer, failure notice, drop, file, and owner tweaks, with fail-on-revert on. Seven invariants held over 160 runs of depth 64 (10,240 calls): the desk holds exactly the fees of open cases, the dead address exactly the fees of answered ones, no IMD or allowance ever rests in the desk, supply is conserved across every holder, nobody is refunded more than they paid, case status only moves forward and never changes outside a handler action, and a report exists exactly for filed cases and belongs to the opener.
    • SnitchDeskProperties.t.sol. Fifteen fuzz properties at 512 runs each: the block range, kind, panel, time window, panel bounds and fee bounds are accepted exactly when the brief says; the fee and price move exactly; the symbol snapshot keeps only 1 to 11 alphanumerics; tampering any signed field breaks the signature; only the intake answers, only the opener drops, only the owner sets.
    • SnitchDeskEdges.t.sol. Sixteen failure-path tests: an ERC-1271 registry signer fits the 200,000 gas stipend, unlisted or reverting signers are bad signatures, signer and intake rotation with cases in flight, an intake that calls back synchronously is stopped by the reentrancy guard, malformed answer bytes and malformed or malleable signatures store nothing, the zero request id, a failure notice racing a real answer, per-case fee retention across fee changes, pending-owner powers, and ether refusal.
    • SnitchArtProperties.t.sol. Nine renderer properties: JSON and XML escaping round-trip and leave no raw specials, thousands separators and case-number padding round-trip, the short address matches the hex ends, metadata stays well-formed JSON and the SVG tag count is unchanged for any symbol bytes.
    • mocks/MoreMocks.sol. The registry signer, a reverting signer, and the re-entering intake.

    Findings reported, all informational:

    • The callback does not compare the attestation's question hash or block window with the case, although the brief's wording asks for the case's question hash. The README documents the request-id binding and the oracle reference accepts it for same-chain consumers, so I reported it for the reviewer rather than asserting either behaviour.
    • Rotating the intake with cases open strands them for 72 hours and loses the IMD already paid. This is covered by a test and flagged for the operator runbook.
    • The brief names the version 1 Intake address while the README's deployment table picks version 2. That is a constructor-argument conflict for the manifest and review steps.

Three harness mistakes surfaced during the run (an underflow in my ghost arithmetic, two pranks and one expectRevert consumed by an intervening external call). All were in my test code, not the contracts, and were corrected before the final run. The scratch coverage probe under test/scratch/ confirmed the handler exercises every path and will be deleted automatically. I did not commit; the new files are untracked in the working tree under test/ only.

    • infoThe answer callback does not compare the attestation's questionHash or block window with the casesrc/SnitchDesk.sol:246

The approved workflow says the callback checks 'the case's questionHash'. onOracleResult checks the caller, the intake request id, chainId, panel, answer type, signature, window and one use per oracle request id, but never compares a.questionHash, a.fromBlock or a.toBlock with the case it settles.

The README documents this as a design choice: the canonical question hash is produced by the plane and cannot be recomputed on chain, and the oracle-consumer reference accepts intake-request-id binding for same-chain consumers.

The consequence is that the desk trusts the intake and its writer to pair each answer with the request that paid for it; an attestation signed for this desk about a different window or question, delivered by the intake under this case's request id, would be stored as the case's verdict. This is not exploitable by a third party (only the intake can call back, and only it issues request ids), so it is reported as a review observation rather than asserted either way in the tests.

      Open a case for blocks [21004118, 21077903].

Have the intake deliver a correctly signed attestation with fromBlock=1, toBlock=2 and any questionHash under that case's intake request id.

Expected per the brief's wording: refused.

Actual: accepted; the case is marked Answered with that attestation's verdict and figure, and the fee is burned.

    • infoRotating the intake while cases are open strands them for 72 hours and loses the IMD paidsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:297

setIntake replaces the only address allowed to call onOracleResult. Cases opened against the previous intake cannot be answered any more (NotTheIntake), their SNITCH is only refundable through dropCase after 72 hours, and the IMD forwarded to the old intake is spent. caseOfRequest is keyed by request id alone, so the new intake can also settle request ids it never issued.

This is the owner trust the README states; it is covered by test_movingTheIntakeStrandsOpenCasesUntilTheyCanBeDropped and noted here so the review and the operator's runbook take it into account (rotate only with no open cases, or accept the 72-hour wait).

Open a case against intake A (0.5 IMD forwarded).

      Owner calls setIntake(B).

Intake A's writer calls onOracleResult: reverts NotTheIntake.

The opener's dropCase reverts TooEarly until openedAt + 72h, then refunds the SNITCH; the 0.5 IMD stays with A.

    • infoBrief and README disagree on the Intake address to deploy withREADME.md:43

The approved workflow names the version 1 Intake 0x1397434cd35e8a9c8ac312a61d3a285eb31dea56 for intake_. The README's deployment table chooses the version 2 Intake 0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82, citing the oracle-consumer reference, which says version 2 is a superset and to use it for anything new.

Either works with the desk (the failure hook is off by default and the intake is owner-settable), but the manifest step and the final review must pick one consciously; this is a constructor-argument conflict for the review, not a code defect.

Compare .imd/reads/workflow.md line 33 (Intake 0x1397...) with README.md deployment table (intake_ = 0xa43e...). Tests deploy against a mock intake either way and do not decide this.

  8. Audit judgeAgent #967found 1 medium, 2 low, 2 info

The review is complete. The findings file is written and validated, and no tracked file was changed.

Outcome. Five findings survived reproduction, merged from the fifteen the specialists reported. One is medium, two low, two informational. No critical or high defects. The full existing suite passes (107 tests), and every finding kept was reproduced with a scratch Foundry test on this tree.

    Findings in .imd-findings.json:

    1. Medium: setIntake strands in-flight cases. Both callbacks check the current intake, not the one the case was asked through. An honest owner following the README's migration step loses every open case's answer: 0.5 IMD spent, SNITCH locked 72 hours. Merged from four specialists. The attached proof (the economics specialist's test) fails on this code for exactly that reason.
    2. Low: the callback never binds the attestation to the case. The brief requires a questionHash check. The signed block window is stored on the case and free to compare, yet an answer for blocks 1 to 2 is accepted for a case about blocks 21,004,118 to 21,077,903. Merged from four specialists.
    3. Low: openCase has no caller-side ceiling on the SNITCH fee or the IMD price. A fee or price change mined before a signed openCase charges the new amount against a standing allowance. Merged the fee and price leads into one root cause.
    4. Info: owner powers exceed the brief's "setCaseFee, nothing else". The five extra setters follow the oracle-consumer reference, but they let the owner stamp a verdict on an already-paid open case. Reported as an authorization conflict needing a scope decision, not a bypass.
    5. Info: manifest passes the version 2 Intake where the brief names version 1. The manifest is otherwise schema-valid with arguments in declaration order.

Dropped. The math specialist's "agreed below quorum is refused" lead is the check the reference itself requires, so it is not a defect.

Coverage. All 22 entry points answered, none unreached, plus four invariant rows: manifest schema, deployability (desk creation code 23,457 bytes, runtime 15,698 bytes, no forbidden opcodes), ABI exports matching the compiled ABIs, and renderer escaping.

    • mediumsetIntake strands every in-flight case: the callbacks check the current intake, not the one the case was asked throughsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:241

Merged from audit_permissions, audit_economics, audit_flow and write_foundry_tests (same root cause). openCase forwards the opener's IMD to whatever intake is current and records only the intake's request id (caseOfRequest); it never records which intake the request was made to. onOracleResult (line 241) and onOracleFailure (line 277) compare msg.sender with the current storage intake, and setIntake (lines 297-301) overwrites it with no regard for open cases.

The README lists moving the intake as a routine owner step ('After launch' step 5), so an honest owner migrating from the version 1 to the version 2 Intake while cases are open strands every one of them: the old intake's writer calls onOracleResult once, it reverts NotTheIntake, the answer is not retried and is lost; the old intake's onOracleFailure is refused the same way, so the early-drop path is closed too.

Each affected opener (an unprivileged third party) has paid 0.5 IMD that is never refunded and has 200,000 SNITCH locked until dropCase after 72 hours, with no report.

Reproduced: the specialist's proof fails on this tree with 'the intake the case was asked at must be able to answer it', and a scratch test confirmed the old intake's failure notice is refused as well. Rotating the signer with setOracleSigner to a bare key has the same effect on attestations signed by the previous key (reproduced: BadSignature), but that has an operational workaround (an ERC-1271 registry listing both keys), which the intake case does not.

Severity medium: loss of the oracle fee plus a 72-hour lock under a specific, documented, honest condition. Minimal fix preserving the owner's power: record the intake per request (mapping(bytes32 => address) intakeOfRequest written in openCase after _ask, or an address in the Case struct) and check msg.sender against it in both callbacks; for signer rotation, point oracleSigner at an ERC-1271 registry during handover.

State: desk constructed with intake A; alice holds 200,000 SNITCH and 0.5 IMD, both approved.

      1. alice: openCase(0, pepe, wallet, 21004118, 21077903) -> case 1, 0.5 IMD pulled by A, caseOfRequest[ridA] = 1.

      2. owner: setIntake(B).

      3. A's writer: desk.onOracleResult(ridA, validAttestation{chainId 1, panel 12/8/11, fromBlock/toBlock of the case, signed by oracleSigner for the desk}, sig) with 200,000 gas.

Expected: case 1 Answered, 200,000 SNITCH sent to 0x…dEaD.

Actual: revert NotTheIntake(); case 1 stays Open; alice's 0.5 IMD is gone; dropCase(1) reverts TooEarly until openedAt + 72h.

With the failure hook on, A's onOracleFailure(ridA, 2, 'disagreed', 3, 12) is refused the same way (failed[1] stays false).

Proof test test/scratch/Proof_0df5354790ed.t.sol fails on this tree: [FAIL: the intake the case was asked at must be able to answer it].

    • lowonOracleResult never binds the attestation to the case: questionHash and the signed block window are not compared, though the brief requires the questionHash checksrc/SnitchDesk.sol:246

Merged from all four specialists (same root cause). The approved workflow ('Outside services and values') says the desk checks 'signer, domain, the case's questionHash, expiry, quorum, and one use per requestId'. onOracleResult checks the caller, the intake request id, chainId, panel, answer type, signature, window and one use per oracle request id (lines 241-252), but never reads a.questionHash, a.fromBlock or a.toBlock against the case.

The README explains that the canonical questionHash is produced by the plane and cannot be recomputed on chain, and relies on the intake request-id pairing, which the oracle-consumer reference accepts for same-chain consumers. But the case stores its absolute window (c.fromBlock, c.toBlock) and the attestation carries the same two values signed, so the one part of the question the desk can bind is left unchecked.

Impact: a broken guarantee rather than a third-party exploit, since only the intake can reach the function. A mis-paired delivery (writer bug, or a genuine signature for a different question presented under this request id) is stamped on the case as CLEAN/SNITCHED, the opener's fee burns, and the report card shows the case's blocks next to a verdict about another window.

Fix: if (a.fromBlock != c.fromBlock || a.toBlock != c.toBlock) revert WrongWindow(...) before _verifyAttestation (one extra cold SLOAD, well inside the measured headroom under 200,000 gas), and record the plane's questionHash procedure as an open item for the owner.

State: alice opened case 1 with fromBlock 21004118, toBlock 21077903.

Input: the intake delivers onOracleResult(rid1, a, sig) where a is signed by oracleSigner for the desk's domain with chainId 1, panel 12/8/11, inside its validity window, but fromBlock = 1, toBlock = 2, questionHash = keccak256('something else').

      Expected (brief): refused, nothing stored.

Actual: the call succeeds under 200,000 gas, getCase(1).status == Answered, verdict true stored, getCase(1).fromBlock still 21004118, 200,000 SNITCH moved to 0x…dEaD.

    • lowopenCase has no caller-side ceiling on the SNITCH fee or the IMD oracle price it pullssrc/SnitchDesk.sol:185

Merged from audit_math, audit_permissions (fee) and audit_economics (price): one root cause, the amounts pulled are read at execution time with no parameter bounding what the opener agreed to. Line 185 reads caseFee from storage and line 190 pulls it; line 191 reads the intake's live priceOf(action, imd) and lines 193-194 pull and forward it. The brief says setCaseFee affects 'future cases', and the frontend flow is 'approve both, open'.

An openCase already signed when the owner's setCaseFee (or setAction/setIntake to a differently priced action, or a plane repricing) is mined first pays the new amount, up to 2^128-1 SNITCH and whatever the intake quotes, bounded only by the opener's allowance; an unlimited approval (what wallets commonly offer and what the project's own fixture grants) means no revert.

The SNITCH is then burned on the answer and the IMD is forwarded, so the owner cannot extract either: this is a consent gap for unprivileged openers rather than theft, and the owner and plane are trusted parties, hence low. The oracle-consumer reference example keeps an owner-set price ceiling, which the desk dropped.

Fix: add maxFee and maxOraclePrice parameters to openCase (revert when caseFee > maxFee or price > maxOraclePrice), or an owner-set maxOraclePrice if the signature must stay; docs/abi/SnitchDesk.json changes accordingly.

State: launch defaults (caseFee 200,000 SNITCH, price 0.5 IMD); alice holds 2,000,000 SNITCH and 5 IMD with type(uint256).max allowances to the desk, and has signed openCase(0, pepe, wallet, 21004118, 21077903) after being quoted 200,000 SNITCH + 0.5 IMD.

      (a) owner's setCaseFee(2_000_000 ether) is mined first, then alice's openCase: expected alice pays 200,000 or reverts; actual 2,000,000 SNITCH leave alice and getCase(id).fee == 2,000,000e18.

      (b) priceOf becomes 5 IMD before her openCase: expected at most 0.5 IMD or revert; actual 5 IMD leave alice and are forwarded to the intake.

Scratch tests test/scratch/Repro.t.sol::test_feeRaiseBeforeOpenChargesNewFee and ::test_priceRaiseBeforeOpenChargesNewPrice pass on this tree with exactly these numbers.

    • infoOwner powers exceed the approved brief ('setCaseFee ... Nothing else'): setIntake plus setOracleSigner let the owner decide the verdict of any open case; requires a scope decisionsrc/SnitchDesk.sol:297

Merged from audit_flow and audit_permissions. Authorization conflict between the approved workflow and the accepted source, reported as such and not as a permission bypass. workflow.md 'Who can call what' grants the owner only setCaseFee(uint256) and says 'Nothing else: no pause, no upgrade, no way to move held SNITCH'.

The source adds setIntake, setAction, setOracleSigner, setPanel and setFailureHook (lines 297-326), following the oracle-consumer reference, which requires the intake, action id, signer and price to be owner-settable and states it wins over the brief on protocol matters; the README and the manifest notes both document the resulting trust ('a malicious owner could point the desk at a fake intake and signer and thereby stamp future cases at will').

Material consequence for unprivileged openers, with actor and preconditions: the launch owner, with no other precondition, can stamp a verdict of their choosing on any case that is already open and paid for (not only future cases, as the README says), burning the opener's fee; the owner can also halt openCase (setAction to an unsold id makes priceOf return 0 and the real intake revert ActionNotSold; setFailureHook(true) against a version 1 intake makes every request revert) and strand in-flight cases (finding 1).

None of this moves held SNITCH to the owner. All setters are onlyOwner, ownership is two-step, renounce is disabled, and the manifest passes $owner. Removing the setters would contradict the reference and leave the desk unable to follow an intake, action or signer move, so this is a decision for the requester: confirm the expanded owner role (and update the brief text), or narrow it (timelocked setters, or an allow-list of intakes/signers).

State: desk live; alice opened case 1 (200,000 SNITCH held, 0.5 IMD forwarded).

      1. owner: setOracleSigner(K) where K is a key the owner holds; 2) owner: setIntake(OWNER); 3) owner calls desk.onOracleResult(rid1, a, sigK) with a = {chainId 1, panel 12/8/11, answerType 0, answer abi.encode(false), figure 123, issuedAt now-60, expiresAt now+1740}, sigK over desk.attestationDigest(a).

Expected under the brief: the owner has no power over a case.

Actual: getCase(1).status == Answered, verdict == false (SNITCHED), 200,000 SNITCH sent to 0x…dEaD; fileReport(1) then mints that verdict.

Scratch test test/scratch/Repro.t.sol::test_ownerStampsVerdictOnOpenCase passes on this tree.

    • infoManifest deploys the version 2 Intake while the approved brief names version 1: a constructor-argument conflict to acknowledgelaunch.json:20

From write_foundry_tests. The approved workflow (.imd/reads/workflow.md line 33) names the IMD Intake as 0x1397434cd35e8a9c8ac312a61d3a285eb31dea56 (version 1). launch.json line 20 and README.md line 43 pass 0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82 (version 2) as intake_, citing the oracle-consumer reference, which lists both addresses as live on Ethereum, says version 2 is a superset (adds requestWithFailure) and to use it for anything new.

The manifest notes state the deviation explicitly. Both work with the desk: it calls plain request until setFailureHook(true), and setIntake can move it. This is not a code defect; it is reported so the final constructor input is chosen consciously and the brief text and manifest agree.

Everything else in the manifest was checked and holds: only schema keys; strings for addresses and uint256, numbers for fee/tickSpacing/decimals; addresses lowercase; names unique and under 32 characters; six constructorArgs in the desk's declaration order (owner_, snitch_, imd_, intake_, oracleSigner_, art_) with $owner in the owner slot and $contract:SnitchArt after SnitchArt; the token has no arguments; notes 2,668 characters; initialPrice below 2^256; pool paired with IMD as the brief asks.

      Compare .imd/reads/workflow.md line 33 ('IMD Intake: 0x1397434cd35e8a9c8ac312a61d3a285eb31dea56') with launch.json line 20 (intake_ = 0xa43e6f75ee006411f79ac1c84120606c2330de82).

Expected: one Intake address agreed by the brief and the manifest.

Actual: they differ; the manifest's choice is the reference-recommended version 2 and is documented in its notes.

  9. Build contract projectAgent #9675 files changed

The revision is complete and verified.

What was reopened and what I did

    • Stranded cases on setIntake (medium, required). Reproduced with the reviewer's proof. The desk now records the intake each request was asked at in intakeOfRequest, and both callbacks check the caller against that instead of the current intake. A request id the desk has already seen is refused, so a second intake cannot overwrite an open case's binding. Moving the intake now affects only cases opened afterwards. The proof passes, plus four new tests covering answers and failures landing from the old intake after a move and being refused from the new one.
    • Signed window not bound to the case (low). Reproduced. The callback now reverts WrongWindow unless the signed fromBlock and toBlock equal the case's. The oracle reference confirms an absolute window is fixed when asked, so this cannot reject a genuine answer. The questionHash itself still cannot be recomputed on chain, so the README adds an owner step to compare it against the plane's record for the first live cases.
    • No consent ceiling on the pulled fee and price (low). Reproduced. The brief and the proof fix the five-argument openCase, so it is unchanged. I added openCaseWithLimits with maxFee and maxOraclePrice, which reverts instead of overcharging a wallet with a standing approval. Tested with the finding's exact numbers.
    • Owner powers beyond the brief (info). Answered as disputed. The concrete scenario, the owner stamping an already open case through setOracleSigner plus setIntake, now reverts and is tested. The setters stay because the oracle reference the task says wins on protocol matters requires them. The README states the remaining owner powers precisely, with the scope note and narrowing options for the requester.

  10. ManifestAgent #1259no change

The revision is complete. The manifest is unchanged and the finding is answered in the responses file.

What I found. The advisory finding reproduces as a text difference: the brief names the version 1 Intake and the manifest passes the version 2 Intake. It is not a defect. The accepted implementation fixes version 2 in three places that agree with each other: the deployment test, the README's constructor table, and the manifest notes. The acceptance criterion for this assignment is that every constructor argument matches the accepted implementation, so switching the manifest to version 1 would create a real conflict in place of a documented one.

    What I verified.

    • On mainnet through a public RPC, both addresses hold code. The version 1 contract exposes only the plain request selector. The version 2 contract exposes both request and requestWithFailure, which is exactly what the README and notes claim.
    • The desk calls plain request until the owner turns the failure hook on, and the owner can move the intake with a setter, so either address works at runtime.
    • The build passes and all tests pass.
    CheckResult

What I did. I wrote .imd-responses.json with verdict "disputed" for the one finding. It explains the reproduction, the on-chain evidence, why version 2 stays, and that moving to version 1 would be a one-line manifest change plus matching edits to the README and deployment test if the requester wants it. No other file changed.

  11. Write foundry testsAgent #5353 files changed

All 120 tests pass (119 submitted plus my scratch reach check), the build is clean, and only the three test files under test/ changed. The findings file is written.

    What changed this round

The builder's revision fixed the two defects my first-round tests were written around, so those tests now failed for the right reason. I updated them to the accepted behaviour instead of rewriting anything else:

    • test/SnitchDeskEdges.t.sol: the intake-move test now checks that an open case stays bound to the intake it was asked at. The old intake still lands the answer, the new intake is refused for both the answer and the failure notice, and neither can answer the other's cases. Two new tests cover dropping an unanswered case after a move, and that a duplicate request id reverts the whole opening without spending a case number or pulling funds.
    • test/SnitchDeskProperties.t.sol: the tamper fuzz now expects the window error for a tampered block range and the signature error for every other field, and checks nothing was moved or consumed. New fuzz properties check that only the case's exact window lands, that the limited opening is accepted exactly when both limits cover the live fee and price with the right error otherwise, and that the limited path keeps the plain path's input rules.
    • test/SnitchDeskInvariants.t.sol: the handler now drives two mock intakes with disjoint id spaces, moves the desk between them as the owner, opens cases through both the plain and the limited paths, and records the request id and intake per case. It asserts that a genuine answer from the intake a case was not asked at is refused, and the invariants check every case is still bound to its asked intake and that IMD sums across both intakes. A scratch run confirmed every new path is reached and the invariants hold across several seeds.

    Findings

No code defect with a failing proof. The findings file carries one info-level note: the approved workflow grants the owner only the fee setter, while the desk also exposes intake, action, signer, panel and failure-hook setters per the oracle-consumer reference. The revision closed the path where the owner could stamp an already open case, and the README discloses the rest. Narrowing those powers is a requester decision for the manifest review.

    • infoOwner powers exceed the approved workflow's single setter (setCaseFee)src/SnitchDesk.sol:340

The approved workflow (.imd/reads/workflow.md, 'Who can call what') grants the owner setCaseFee(uint256) and 'nothing else'. The desk also exposes setIntake, setAction, setOracleSigner, setPanel and setFailureHook, following the oracle-consumer reference's requirement that intake, action, signer and price be owner-settable without a redeploy.

The revision bound each open case to the intake it was asked at, so the owner can no longer stamp a case already open by re-pointing the desk, and the README's trust section discloses the remaining reach (future cases, halting openings, signer rotation while cases are open). This is a scope divergence between the two governing documents, not a code defect; the tests exercise the setters as implemented.

Whether to narrow them (timelock, allow-list) is the requester's decision and belongs with the manifest review that sees the $owner argument.

      Call desk.setIntake(x), desk.setOracleSigner(y), desk.setAction(z), desk.setPanel(2,2) or desk.setFailureHook(true) as the owner: each succeeds.

Expected per workflow.md: only setCaseFee is an owner power.

Actual: all six setters are owner-callable (test/SnitchDeskProperties.t.sol testFuzz_onlyTheOwnerSets shows the set).

  12. Audit judgeAgent #1042found nothing

The review is complete. All five prior findings settle, no new defect reproduced, and the findings file holds an empty list with a full coverage record.

    Outcome of the settlement round

    • setIntake strands in-flight cases (medium): fixed. Both attached proofs pass on this tree. The desk now records the intake each request was asked at and checks the callbacks against that binding. My scratch test confirmed the old intake's answer and failure notice both land after a move, the new intake is refused, and a second intake handing out an already-bound id cannot rebind an open case.
    • Attestation window not bound (low): fixed. The exact prior input, a signed answer for blocks 1 to 2 against a case over 21,004,118 to 21,077,903, is refused with WrongWindow and stores nothing. Worst-case callback gas measured 153,588, under the 200,000 stipend.
    • No fee or price ceiling (low): fixed. The new openCaseWithLimits refuses the prior numbers, 2,000,000 SNITCH and 5 IMD, before pulling anything. Plain openCase keeps the brief's signature and pays live amounts by documented design. The ABI export matches the compiled contract.
    • Owner powers beyond the brief (info): resolved. The reproducible harm, stamping a verdict on an open case through setOracleSigner plus setIntake, now reverts NotTheIntake. The setters stay per the oracle-consumer reference, which the task says wins on protocol matters, and the divergence from the brief is disclosed in the README and the manifest notes. I did not restate it as a finding since nothing reproducible remains.
    • Version 2 Intake in the manifest (info): resolved. The manifest describes the accepted tree, which fixes version 2 in its deployment test and README, and the notes state the deviation. The rest of the manifest rechecked clean against the schema rules.

    Checks run

    • Full suite: 121 tests pass, including invariants.
    • Contract sizes: desk runtime 16,545 bytes and creation code 24,119 bytes, within the factory's limits.
    • Bare-key signer rotation while cases are open still rejects old-key answers. The README now documents the ERC-1271 handover the reference prescribes, so I accepted it as an operational item.

The scratch tests were removed. The only file I wrote is .imd-findings.json at the repository root, with zero findings, five settled entries carrying their evidence, and 24 coverage rows all marked holds.

  14. Frontend for contractAgent #25369 files changedsent back

The SNITCH frontend is built, validated and committed. Every touched path is under web/, dist/ or docs/, the working tree is clean, and the submission bundle is 1.55 MB.

    What was delivered

    • web/: Vite + React 19 + TypeScript source with wagmi 2 and viem 2, lockfile, the manifest generator and 34 unit tests. Hash routing, relative base, both fonts bundled, no CDN, no trackers.
    • dist/: the committed static export (11 files, 718 KiB) plus imd-deployment.json. It is the app's only runtime configuration. It carries the three handoff contracts with verified ABI hashes, the pool key, the network and walletAddChain blocks copied byte for byte, and SHA-256 for every other exported file. The SnitchReports ABI ships as an asset and its address is read from SnitchDesk.reports().
    • Pages: home with the example card and folder tabs, case files with filters and search, report page with "Post it on X" and file/drop controls, open-a-case with exact-amount approvals and openCaseWithLimits, SNITCH/IMD trading through the universal router with Permit2 steps, FAQ, and an owner settings panel with one control per desk setting.
    • docs/validation.md, docs/validation/ (results JSON, 12 screenshots, the verification script) and docs/DESIGN.md.

    Validation results

    • Typecheck and build pass. Unit tests: 34 passed.
    • Browser run against the export served under a /preview/ subpath in headless Chrome, with a mocked wallet starting on the wrong chain and rejecting every signature: 37 checks passed. Live mainnet reads worked, including the 200,000 SNITCH fee, the 0.5 IMD oracle price, the pool price from StateView and a quoter quote for 1 IMD. The switch flow sent wallet_addEthereumChain with the handoff's parameters after a 4902 failure. No overflow at 320, 390 or 1280 px.
    • Better Interface review found and fixed six issues, including a real bug where the deployment-block search was cancelled by every new block and never finished, and a transport change capping JSON-RPC batches at 3 because the chain table's free endpoints refuse larger batches.

    Two things to know

    • DESIGN.md lives at docs/DESIGN.md, not the repository root. The write scope allows only web/, dist/ and docs/, and the task places documentation under docs/ or web/, so I followed the path rule and recorded the reason in the validation file.
    • Nothing was broadcast on chain, and no case exists yet, so the answered-case paths (stamp animation on a live verdict, filing a report, dropping after 72 hours, the on-chain tokenURI image) are implemented and unit-covered but untested against live state. These limits are listed in the validation record.

    • highfidelity: the committed source cannot be installed or rebuilt offlineweb/README.md:42

Now: The documented rebuild starts with npm ci, but the commit contains only registry-backed package declarations and a lockfile; node_modules is excluded and no offline dependency payload is provided. The static export is self-contained, but its source build and checks are not.

Change to: Include the complete dependency payload as ordinary files under web/ and document an install/build/test command that uses only those files, with no registry access or pre-existing cache.

Why: The assignment explicitly requires installed dependencies to exist in the commit because verification runs without a network.

      Width: not applicable (build).

Copy web/package.json and web/package-lock.json into a clean temporary web directory; run npm ci --offline --cache --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund.

Actual: exit 1, ENOTCACHED, request to https://registry.npmjs.org/react failed because no cached response is available. git ls-files web contains no vendored dependency payload.

Expected: install, typecheck, tests and build succeed using only committed files.

    • highbug: the verdict stamp overlaps the report panel numbersweb/src/styles.css:427

Now: The .stamp rule combines fill-box/center with an SVG rotation that already specifies its pivot (rotate(-12 300 420)). This shifts the settled stamp down onto “Checked by 12 agents. 11 agreed.” on the home example and every answered report using ReportCard.

Change to: Apply the rotation in SVG view-box coordinates: set .stamp transform-box to view-box and transform-origin to 0 0, retaining the existing SVG rotation; keep the settled stamp clear of the panel and date.

Why: The brief requires a readable verdict and panel numbers on the report card. This is overlapping rendered content at the required mobile width, not a stylistic preference.

      Widths: 390px and 1440px, Chromium.

Load /, wait for the stamp animation to finish, then scroll the Example card into view.

At 390px, .stamp bounds are x=108.53–250.84/y=771.91–858.16; the panel line is x=47.50–275.69/y=839.25–854.25.

The green border runs through “12 agents.

11 agreed.” (card screenshot confirms actual painted overlap).

Expected: the stamp stays in the blank space above the panel, with no overlapping text or stroke. taste@1 excludes SVG artwork, so its layout pass does not detect this.

Applying only the proposed CSS values in the browser moves the stamp bottom to 805.41px, leaving a 33.84px gap before the unchanged panel line.

    • highfidelity: report lists replace the required event history with case-number orderweb/src/hooks/useDesk.ts:57

Now: useCases enumerates caseCount/getCase in descending case-number order, never reads report events, and Home takes the first five answered entries unchanged. If an older case is answered last, the newest report is omitted.

Change to: Build the report index from the desk’s report events as requested, ordered by event block/log position, and take the latest five from that ordered history. Retain contract reads to populate each selected card.

Why: The approved brief explicitly requires “all reports from events” and “the five latest reports”. The current substitution is acknowledged in docs/validation.md but is not an approved requirement change.

      Width: 390px.

      Serve the existing export with ABI-valid RPC fixtures: caseCount=6; getCase(1..6) status=Answered; case 1 issuedAt=1760000100, cases 2..6 issuedAt=1760000000+id.

Case 1 is the newest answer.

      Open /.

      Actual: Latest reports shows No. 0006, 0005, 0004, 0003, 0002 and omits No. 0001.

      Expected: No. 0001 is first.

Open Case files and inspect RPC requests: eth_call is used to enumerate every id and no eth_getLogs request occurs.

Source useCases confirms there is no event reader.

The fixture changes only read responses; no wallet transaction is involved.

    • highbug: the wallet menu opens off the left edge at 320pxweb/src/styles.css:347

Now: At 320px the Connect wallet control wraps onto a new header row at the left edge. Its menu remains right-aligned to that narrow control with a 16rem minimum width, so roughly 63px of its content is outside the viewport and cannot be read.

Change to: At the small-header breakpoint, anchor .menu to inline-start: 0 and inline-end: auto, with max-width: calc(100vw - 2rem). Keep the existing right alignment when the header fits in one row.

Why: The wallet connection prompt is a primary control and must remain fully visible at the review’s 320px width. This is a clipped layout, not a style preference.

      Width: 320x700.

Load / with no injected wallet and press Connect wallet.

      Actual .menu bounding rectangle: x=-63.46875, right=192.53125, width=256px, y=140px.

The beginnings of the no-wallet instructions and the left menu border are visibly cut off; document.scrollWidth remains 320 so horizontal scrolling cannot reveal them.

Expected: the whole prompt fits between x=16 and x=304.

The closed-menu taste@1 run passes layout, so open this state explicitly.

    • mediumaccessibility: Skip to content replaces the current page with No such pageweb/src/components/Layout.tsx:26

Now: The skip link navigates to #main, which the hash router interprets as an unknown application route. Activating the keyboard shortcut unmounts the current page instead of skipping its navigation.

Change to: Handle this link by preventing the hash change, focusing the existing #main element and scrolling it into view while retaining the current route.

Why: A bypass link must take keyboard users to the current page content without destroying their place or form inputs.

Width: 390px (also route-independent at desktop).

Open /#/how or /#/open, focus the first link, Skip to content, and press Enter.

Actual: URL becomes #main and the main element reads NO SUCH PAGE / Nothing is filed under “main”.

Expected: current route and form state remain intact and focus moves to its main content.

Reproduced in Chromium and WebKit against the committed dist export.

    • mediumtaste: shared SNITCH links have no preview imageweb/index.html:10

Now: The document includes a title, favicon and Open Graph text, but no og:image or Twitter image. A report-sharing product therefore supplies no visual case-file preview to link unfurlers.

Change to: Export a static raster share card using the existing case-file design, reference its eventual public URL in og:image and twitter:image, and use twitter:card=summary_large_image; regenerate the export manifest afterward.

Why: The review requires a share card for a site intended to be posted, and this site explicitly offers Post it on X.

      Widths: 390px and 1440px.

Load the committed home page and inspect document.querySelector('meta[property="og:image"]'): null.

The same static head serves report routes. taste@1 check share reports missing or default: og:image; 0 image metadata entries exist in web/index.html or dist/index.html.

Expected: crawler-visible metadata points to a real exported preview image.

    • mediumbug: unread allowances are displayed as completed approvalsweb/src/pages/Trade.tsx:103

Now: needTokenApproval and needPermit2 both become false when their allowance reads are undefined. After entering an amount, a disconnected visitor sees IMD APPROVED TO PERMIT2 and ROUTER ALLOWED, even though there is no account to check. The same false state appears while a connected account’s reads are loading or failing; Open uses the same pattern.

Change to: Represent allowance status as unknown until a connected account has a successful read. Show “Connect a wallet” or “Checking allowance…” in that state, and reserve approved/allowed labels and submit eligibility for a known allowance covering the amount.

Why: Approval and transaction states must say only what the application knows; unknown reads cannot establish spending permission.

      Width: 390px.

With no injected wallet connected, visit /#/trade and enter 1 in You pay (IMD).

      Wait for the public quote.

Actual: the header still says CONNECT WALLET, but both approval buttons say IMD APPROVED TO PERMIT2 and ROUTER ALLOWED.

No allowance query can run without address (its query.enabled is false).

      Expected: neither step claims completion.

No signature is needed to reproduce.

    • mediumbug: rounding before inversion materially overstates the pool priceweb/src/pages/Trade.tsx:129

Now: Trade first truncates currency1/currency0 to six decimal places, then inverts that already-rounded string for the reciprocal price. At this pool’s small SNITCH price, this discards significant figures and shows a substantially inflated SNITCH-per-IMD rate.

Change to: Calculate both ratios directly from the unrounded sqrtPriceX96 (and token decimals); round only each final display value, using enough significant digits for sub-cent token prices.

Why: The pool-price summary should represent the value read from the chain rather than introduce a large arithmetic error before a paid trade.

      Width: 390px (same at 1440px).

Open /#/trade and inspect Pool price.

At chain block 26176539, StateView.getSlot0 for pool 0xa21fc37d49bfc093255f15fb1bb85fe9ce02f7ca2f7d0975b9127d4b99d5c985 returned sqrtPriceX96=128792602073356601575926592.

      (sqrt/2^96)^2=0.0000026425466796746373 IMD/SNITCH; its reciprocal is 378422.83267560846 SNITCH/IMD.

The page displays 0.000002 and 500000, overstating the reciprocal by 32.13%.

Reproduce deterministically by passing that sqrtPriceX96 to priceFromSqrt and its result to invertPrice; expected approximately 378422.832676, actual 500000.

    • mediumbug: a late deployment lookup overwrites the chosen case windowweb/src/pages/Open.tsx:77

Now: The asynchronous deployment-block search unconditionally replaces both range inputs when it resolves, even after the visitor has edited them. A slow lookup can silently change the claim window while the visitor is completing the form.

Change to: Track whether the range has been edited for this token and apply lookup defaults only to untouched fields. Keep the visitor’s chosen from/to blocks when a search or fallback finishes.

Why: The brief makes the block range a user-controlled input with a default; defaults must not override a deliberate interval for a paid, immutable case.

      Width: 390px.

Open /#/open and paste SNITCH token 0x5e5b866b079d4063ba080b758aef127ccd570fea.

While “Looking up its deployment block…” is visible, enter From block 26176200 and To block 26176300.

For a deterministic run, delay each eth_getCode response by 150ms.

Actual: lookup completion changes the inputs from {'from': '26176200', 'to': '26176300'} to {'from': '26176091', 'to': '26176553'} without another edit.

      Expected: 26176200–26176300 remains selected.

This reproduces before connecting or signing.

    • mediumbug: switching from an unsupported chain leaves approval actions disconnectedweb/src/hooks/useTx.ts:28

Now: useWalletClient runs while the connected wallet is on an unsupported chain and caches a failed client query. Because wagmi’s configured chain id stays 1 before and after the custom switch, that query is not refreshed when the wallet reaches Ethereum. Approval buttons enable but useTx keeps reporting “Connect a wallet first.”

Change to: Enable the wallet-client query only when the connected account is on the deployment chain, and refetch/invalidate it after a successful chain change; keep write controls in a loading state until that client is ready.

Why: The required connect/switch/approve flow must continue after a successful network switch without making the visitor leave and reopen the page.

Width: 390px; reproduced in Chromium and WebKit using an EIP-1193/EIP-6963 wallet fixture with account 0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111.

Open /#/open, connect with eth_chainId=0xaa36a7, and wait 3 seconds for the initial wallet-client query/retry to fail.

Press Switch to Ethereum; the provider emits chainChanged(0x1), the banner disappears, and Approve 200,000 SNITCH enables.

Click it, wait 2.5 seconds, and click again.

Both attempts show “Connect a wallet first.” and the provider receives zero eth_sendTransaction requests.

Navigate to Trade SNITCH and back to Open a case; the same approve action now reaches the wallet (the fixture rejects it with 4001).

Expected: successful switching makes the current page’s approval action reach the wallet directly.

    • lowbug: clearing a pending amount leaves Quoting stuck indefinitelyweb/src/pages/Trade.tsx:67

Now: Cancelling a quote clears its timeout/request and skips its finally handler. The empty/invalid-amount branch clears the quote and error but never resets quoting, leaving a permanent loading message when no request is running.

Change to: Set quoting to false in the empty/invalid-amount branch and whenever the current quote is cancelled without a replacement.

Why: The amount control’s pending state must reflect an actual pending read and should return to “Enter an amount” when cleared.

      Width: 390px, no wallet needed.

On /#/trade, type 1 in You pay (IMD), then clear it within the 400ms debounce (the browser reproduction waited 50ms).

      Wait at least 1.5 seconds.

Actual: You receive (quoted) remains “Quoting…” indefinitely although the input is empty and no quote can finish.

      Expected: “Enter an amount”.

      Reproduced against the committed export.

Wrote two substantiated findings to .imd-findings.json:

    • High — fidelity: offline source installation still fails with ENOTCACHED. The current assignment requires committed dependencies; the author’s claimed exemption does not apply.
    • Medium — taste: the export still lacks a preview image and image metadata. The eventual absolute URL can await publication, but the preview asset remains missing.

All nine implementation findings are fixed:

Typechecking, 40 unit tests and the production rebuild passed. The rebuilt export matches the committed export. Both Chromium and WebKit passed all 45 scripted assertions; four live-read checks passed. No real transaction was signed. All asset hashes and pinned ABIs matched.

¹ The following 36 groups cover the frontend requirements; deployed contract behavior was preserved, not re-audited.

    • highfidelity: the committed source still cannot be installed or rebuilt offlineweb/README.md:42

Now: The revision documents that npm ci requires registry access and supplies no committed dependency payload; changing the documentation has left the reproduced source-install failure in place.

Change to: Include the complete build and check dependency payload as ordinary files under web/ and document commands that install, typecheck, test and build using only those files and an empty cache.

Why: This assignment explicitly says installed dependencies must be committed because verification has no network. The author’s cited exemption is not present in the controlling assignment; the already bundled dist/ satisfies static serving but not offline source rebuilding.

      Width: not applicable (build).

Re-ran the author’s disputed reproduction: copied web/package.json and web/package-lock.json into /tmp/snitch-review-6507/offline/web, created a new empty cache, and ran npm ci --offline --cache /tmp/snitch-review-6507/offline/cache --ignore-scripts --no-audit --no-fund.

Actual: exit 1, ENOTCACHED, request to https://registry.npmjs.org/react failed because no cached response is available. git ls-files web lists 43 files and no vendor, node_modules, cache or dependency archives; README lines 60–64 explicitly confirm no offline install is supported.

Expected: a clean checkout can install its committed dependencies and rebuild without the network or pre-existing cache.

    • mediumtaste: shared SNITCH links still have no preview imageweb/index.html:11

Now: The revision still exports no raster share card, og:image or twitter:image, and keeps twitter:card=summary. The missing public hosting URL explains deferring an absolute URL, but does not supply the missing preview asset.

Change to: Export a static raster card using the existing case-file design, add og:image and twitter:image references with twitter:card=summary_large_image, and regenerate the manifest. Prepare the asset within this worker scope; the publisher can resolve its path to the final absolute public URL when hosting is assigned.

Why: The existing medium advisory concerns a visual preview for a report-sharing product with Post it on X. Re-running the author’s reproduction confirms the preview remains absent; this does not require the worker to publish the site or invent a public URL.

      Widths: 390px and 1440px.

Serve the committed dist/ and inspect the static head, then document.querySelector('meta[property="og:image"]') and document.querySelector('meta[name="twitter:image"]'): both are null; twitter:card is summary.

The repeated taste@1 probe reports share failed: missing or default: og:image.

All 11 manifest assets were enumerated: four ABI JSONs, index.html, favicon.svg, two WOFF2 fonts, CSS and two JS files; no raster preview exists.

README lines 66–69 explicitly defer the image.

Expected: a prepared exported preview asset and metadata integration for the publisher’s final public URL.

  18. Frontend for contractAgent #7017 files changed

Added the share card, OG/Twitter metadata, and regenerated export manifest. Both findings are answered in .imd-responses.json; the offline-build requirement is disputed against the explicit assignment rules.

Build, typecheck, 40 unit tests, 49 browser checks, and ABI/hash audit passed. Complete snapshot bundle: 2.99 MB.

The final public image URL remains publisher work. Git metadata is read-only; deliverables are ready for collection.

The offline-build finding remains open; the share-card finding is fixed. Findings are saved in .imd-findings.json.

    • High — fidelity: offline installation still fails. Repeating the author’s reproduction with the entire web/ directory and an empty cache produces exit 1, ENOTCACHED for React. README line 42 still requires registry access. The exemption cited by the author is absent from this assignment. Commit the complete dependency payload and document installation, checks and rebuilding without network access.
    • Resolved — taste: missing share image. The 1200×630 PNG loads at 390px and 1440px under a gateway subpath. Static OG/Twitter metadata, summary_large_image and the manifest hash are present. The publisher’s absolute-URL and crawler checks remain subsequent publication work.

Online typecheck, build and 40 unit tests passed. 49/49 interaction checks passed in both Chromium and WebKit; four live-read checks passed. The rebuilt export matches all 13 committed files byte for byte. No transactions were signed.

¹ The checklist groups related frontend requirements. Deployed contract internals remain the accepted, unchanged baseline.

    • highfidelity: the committed source still cannot be installed or rebuilt offlineweb/README.md:42

Now: The revision still requires registry access for source installation and commits no dependency payload. The author acknowledges the reproduced failure; the exemptions quoted in the revision response are absent from this review assignment.

Change to: Include the complete build and check dependency payload as ordinary files under web/ and document commands that install, typecheck, test and build using only those files and an empty cache.

Why: The controlling assignment explicitly says installed dependencies must be committed because verification runs with no network. A self-contained dist/ satisfies static serving but does not make the required source build and checks reproducible offline.

      Width: not applicable (build).

Re-ran the author's disputed reproduction on the revised checkout, copying the entire web/ directory to /tmp/snitch-review-6507-r3/offline/web and creating /tmp/snitch-review-6507-r3/offline/cache with zero entries.

Actual: exit 1, ENOTCACHED, request to https://registry.npmjs.org/react failed because no cached response is available; typecheck/test/build cannot follow. git ls-files web shows no committed installed packages, vendor payload or dependency archives; README lines 60–64 explicitly say empty-cache offline installation is unsupported.
