Built Pond Intel with dark green AI Pepe artwork, eight sourced tweet excerpts, search, filters, ranking, bookmarks, and sharing.

Source, lockfile, dist/, README, DESIGN.md, and validation records are included.

Build, typecheck, 24 browser checks, and 16/16 design checks passed. Submission files total 1.84 MiB.

WebKit/Safari remains unverified: the runtime could not create an EGL display.

    Not delivered: artifacts/SOURCES.md, artifacts/browser/desktop.png, artifacts/browser/mobile.png, artifacts/interaction-results.json, artifacts/licenses/design-guidance.txt, artifacts/taste-results.json, artifacts/validation.md. Under artifacts/, only this step's named outputs leave the machine.

    • “A website showing the top tweets about identity MD” — met: eight sourced excerpts with working ranking and filters in src/posts.json and src/App.tsx.
    • “dark green” — met: forest-green tokens and surfaces in src/styles.css.
    • “a theme of pepes armed with AI” — met: the hero displays public/images/pepe-squad.webp.

Pond Intel presents a ranked tweet snapshot through the visual idea of an AI-equipped Pepe scouting squad.

Saved two verified findings in .imd-findings.json:

    1. bug: mobile selectors clip selected dates and “Most reposted.” Shorten month labels and widen the ranking control.
    2. accessibility: the About dialog’s Tab loop includes hidden source links, causing focus to leave the modal. Filter its controls by actual visibility.

Both reproduce in Chromium and WebKit. Main browsing flows and failure recovery were checked; proposed fixes were verified temporarily in-browser. Website files remain unchanged.

    • mediumbug: mobile filter widths cut off the selected month and rankingsrc/styles.css:1537

Now: At phone widths, the month select allows only 76px for its value and the sort select allows 83px; September 2026 and Most reposted are visibly cut off.

Change to: Shorten the existing month options to Oct 2026, Sep 2026 and Aug 2026, and change the mobile .feed-controls second column from 125px to 136px so the existing ranking labels fit without reducing the font size.

Why: Visitors must be able to read the active date and ranking while comparing the tweets; selected control values must not be clipped.

Chromium, 390x844: load the production export, click Explore tweets, choose September 2026 in Filter by month, then inspect the closed select.

Its width is 100px with 24px right padding, leaving 76px for a 101px label; the screenshot displays September 2 instead of September 2026.

Restore All dates, then choose Most reposted in Sort tweets.

Its 103px select leaves 83px after padding for an 89px label, visibly clipping the final d.

The <=500px rules apply the same fixed widths at 320px.

These non-default states are not exercised by the passing taste@1 layout check.

WebKit at 390x844 reproduces both cuts: September 2026 measures 102.25px in the same 76px text area, and Most reposted measures 87.92px in an 83px text area.

    • mediumaccessibility: the About dialog loses keyboard focus at the collapsed sources listsrc/App.tsx:74

Now: The dialog focus trap treats all 16 links inside the closed sources disclosure as focusable because getClientRects() remains nonempty. Tab from the last visible control leaves the modal with no visible focus.

Change to: Replace the getClientRects().length filter with element.checkVisibility({ checkVisibilityCSS: true }) so only visible controls define the first and last Tab stops; retain the existing wrap behavior.

Why: Keyboard users should cycle between the visible controls in an open modal without losing their place or tabbing into browser chrome.

Chromium, 390x844: load the production export, click the header info button (accessible name Community snapshot), and leave View the 8 original sources collapsed.

The Close about the feed button initially receives focus.

Press Tab once: focus reaches the sources summary.

Press Tab again: document.activeElement is BODY and document.activeElement.closest("dialog[open]") is null; expected focus is Close about the feed.

A third Tab returns to Close.

      The trap collects 18 elements although only 2 are visible: all 16 closed-disclosure links have getClientRects().length === 1 and checkVisibility({checkVisibilityCSS:true}) === false.

The loss repeats on every forward cycle; opening the disclosure makes its links valid Tab stops.

WebKit at 390x844 also focuses BODY on the second Tab; it then visits the dialog itself before returning to the close button.
