Audit BOSS before its launch: BossHook (Uniswap v4 hook, 2.5% fee in IMD on top of the pool LP fee of 1.25%: 1.5% to the pot, 1% to the treasury; every buy hits the boss, every sell heals it; on a kill 10% of the pot seeds the next boss and the rest is split 50/50 between the killing blow and, by damage, the wallets by the damage each still holds; credit follows the BOSS: BossToken reports every transfer to the hook, a buy is credited to the wallet that receives the BOSS from the pool, BOSS handed back to the pool forfeits in proportion, BOSS sent to another wallet carries its open-round credit; once a round closes its credit is frozen except the killing blow's, which travels with its BOSS (the router that executed the kill pays it out in proportion to its balance); the killer prize goes to the wallet holding more than half of the blow's BOSS, else to the signer; within one transaction a sell takes back the pending credit of the BOSS it hands in, the net credit created never exceeds the HP removed, and pending credit is scoped to the swap's sender), AbilityBoard and OracleGate (abilities must be contracts written by the swarm, accepted only with an IMD oracle attestation, 21 seats, quorum 15).

This commit fixes the findings of jobs be67d693, 853ff4df, 94b6c9a5 and 965a5fce; the README lists the known limits.

Focus: can anyone drain or lock the pot, steal another wallet's prize or credit, get credit without net damage, block trades or transfers, replay an attestation, or make the treasury pay more than intended? Every finding with a location, a reproduction and a Foundry proof where possible.

  • 1.lowBOSS sent to the BOSS token contract keeps live credit and strands its damage-pool share, unlike BOSS sent to the hooksrc/BossHook.sol:717

            bool sink = to == pm || to == address(this);

    onBossTransfer treats only the PoolManager and the hook as sinks. BOSS transferred to the BossToken contract itself is equally dead: BossToken has no function that moves its own balance, so that BOSS can never leave and never be sold. The hook takes the wallet branch for it, moves the sender's open-round credit to address(bossToken) (damage[r][token] += dmg, bought[r][token] += boss) and leaves it inside eligibleDamage[r].

    When the round closes, results[r].eligibleDamage includes that credit, so the matching share of the damage pool (damagePool * dmg / eligibleDamage) is either paid into the token contract by anyone calling claimDamage(r, address(boss)), where it is lost, or never claimed and stuck in the hook.

    The same transfer to the hook address forfeits the credit (eligibleDamage -= dmg) and redistributes that share to the other players, which the README states as the rule for BOSS that can never move again. The pending-credit path has the same gap: _arrive (line 800, bool sink = to == address(this);) credits BOSS taken out of the pool straight to the token contract.

    No attacker profit; value is lost for every player in that round, and the inconsistency is at odds with the documented sink rule.

    Minimal fix: include to == bossToken in the sink test on line 717 and in the sink test of _arrive on line 800. (Merged from audit_economics; verified with the attached proof, which fails on this tree with credit must not live on the token contract: 400000000000000000 != 0.)

    Fixture as in test/utils/BossFixture.sol (initial HP 1 IMD, single-sided pool, BOSS as currency0).

    1. alice buyExactIn 0.4 IMD -> damage[1][alice] = 0.4e18, eligibleDamage[1] = 0.4e18.

    2. alice calls boss.transfer(address(boss), boss.balanceOf(alice)).

    Expected: the token contract is a sink like the hook, so eligibleDamage[1] becomes 0 and damage[1][address(boss)] stays 0.

    Actual: damage[1][alice] = 0, damage[1][address(boss)] = 0.4e18, eligibleDamage[1] = 0.4e18 (the same transfer to address(hook) gives eligibleDamage[1] = 0).

    1. bob buyExactIn 2 IMD kills the boss: claimableDamage(1, address(boss)) = 40% of results[1].damagePool, which no player can ever receive.

    Run: forge test --match-path test/scratch/Proof_26f5be9fe1cc.t.sol (fails on this tree).

  • 2.lowAbilityBoard.propose accepts an EIP-7702 delegated wallet that BossHook.acceptAbility always refuses, burning a proposal id and a paid oracle roundsrc/AbilityBoard.sol:33

            if (ability_.code.length == 0) revert NoCode();

    The two guards on the same proposal disagree. The board only requires non-empty code, so an EOA delegated with EIP-7702 (23 bytes, 0xef0100 || target) passes propose. The hook applies the stricter test at acceptance (src/BossHook.sol:469-470 refuses exactly that shape with AbilityNotAContract).

    A proposal of a delegated wallet therefore advances id and proposedAt, can be paid for and reviewed by the 21-seat panel (which may even approve it if the delegation target's source passes the five conditions), and its attestation can never be relayed: the id is consumed and the keeper must propose again. Only the keeper (by mistake or a bad swarm artifact) can trigger it and no player funds are at risk, so this is an access/economics seam, not a theft.

    Fix: mirror the hook's test in propose (len == 23 && bytes3(ability_.code) == 0xef0100 -> revert) so the board rejects what the hook will reject before an oracle job is bought. (Merged from audit_permissions and audit_economics, which reported the same defect.)

    Fresh BossFixture. vm.etch(wallet, abi.encodePacked(hex"ef0100", address(someContract))) so wallet.code.length == 23; vm.prank(keeper); board.propose(wallet, "note").

    Expected: propose reverts.

    Actual: propose succeeds, board.pending() returns (1, wallet), and hook.acceptAbility(attestation(3) signed by the oracle key, sig) reverts with AbilityNotAContract().

  • 3.infoThe relayer chooses the activation moment of an approved ability anywhere inside the attestation's validity windowsrc/BossHook.sol:476

            uint64 at = uint64(block.timestamp + ABILITY_DELAY);

    Trust assumption to document, not a bypass. The activation time is relay time + 12h (or the 24h floor), and the oracle question (docs/ORACLE-QUESTION.md) requests validForSeconds 86400, so an approved attestation can be relayed at any moment of a 24-hour span. The keeper, who selects abilities and holds the signed answer, can time when a 4x-hit or 0.25x-heal ability starts (for instance right after a fresh boss with a large seed).

    Every player sees the queued ability and its activatesAt 12 hours ahead (AbilityQueued, currentAbility()), and the ability cannot be address-specific, so the advantage is timing only. The README documents the keeper's power to select abilities but not this timing freedom. If the requester wants to remove it, bind the activation to the attestation (at = a.issuedAt + ABILITY_DELAY, still floored by MIN_ABILITY_INTERVAL) instead of the relay block.

    BossFixture; keeper proposes a contract ability (id 1); attestation(3) with issuedAt = T and expiresAt = T + 24h, signed by the oracle key.

    Relay at T + 23h: acceptAbility succeeds and queuedActivatesAt == T + 35h.

    Relay at T + 1h instead: queuedActivatesAt == T + 13h.

    Both verified by test_relayTiming in test/scratch/Judge.t.sol on this tree.

  • 4.infoHook fee rounds to zero on trades under 40 wei of IMD while damage, heal and the killing blow count in fullsrc/BossHook.sol:443

            return isBuy ? specified * FEE_PIPS / PIPS : specified * FEE_PIPS / (PIPS - FEE_PIPS);

    All four fee formulas (_specifiedSideFee here, _feeAndGross lines 430 and 435) divide by 1_000_000 or 975_000 rounding down, so any quote amount below 40 wei pays no hook fee, but _play still uses gross in full: the trade deals or heals that much and, if it brings hp to zero, it is the killing blow and takes the killer prize.

    The README already lists the zero-fee dust trade as a known limit; what it does not say is that the kill, the one trade that moves the whole pot, can be landed at dust size without contributing to the pot (the previous buy of the same player can leave hp under 40 wei). The economic impact is bounded to at most 39 wei of fee per trade, and a 40-wei kill would have paid 1 wei, so this is a precision note rather than a drain.

    If the requester wants every non-zero trade to pay, round the fee up in the four formulas or revert swaps whose fee computes to zero. (From audit_math, downgraded to info because the README documents the rounding and the value at stake is wei.)

    BossFixture (INITIAL_HP = 1 ether).

    (1) buyExactIn(alice, 39): pot and treasuryOwed unchanged, hp falls by 39, damage[1][alice] == 39, BOSS out 15_111_115 wei.

    (2) buyExactIn(alice, hp - 10) leaves hp = 10; buyExactIn(bob, 10) pays fee 0 (pot stays 14_999_999_999_999_999), round becomes 2, results(1).killer == bob, killerPrize == 6_750_000_000_000_000 (45% of the pot) and unclaimedKill(bob) equals it.

  • 5.infoZero-inventory flash kill: a buy that kills and a sell of the same BOSS in one unlock keep the killer prize and blow credit with the signersrc/BossHook.sol:631

            _credit(r, killer, pd, pb);

    _kill credits the capped pending damage of the killing buy to tx.origin and reserves the killer prize for tx.origin before any BOSS has left the PoolManager. If the same unlock sells that BOSS straight back (deltas net inside the PoolManager, no token transfer, so onBossTransfer never runs), nothing is forfeited: _unpend finds T_PEND_ROUND already advanced, and the heal lands on the fresh boss at full HP.

    The signer ends the transaction holding no BOSS with 45% of the old pot as killer prize plus a damage share, having paid only the hook and LP fees twice plus price impact.

    The README states this as design (a flash round trip keeps the kill with the signer; bots race for the blow; a fresh boss after a high-volume round holds a large seed), so it is reported as a documented economic limit, not a bypass: the kill is profitable at zero inventory whenever 0.45 * pot plus the damage share exceeds roughly 7.3% of the HP left.

    Any mitigation (require the blow's BOSS to be held at the end of the transaction, or scale the killer prize by the share of the blow actually delivered) changes the agreed economic rule and needs a scope decision. (From audit_flow; reproduced with different numbers.)

    BossFixture (HP 1 IMD): alice buys 8 x 0.1 IMD (hp = 0.2 IMD, pot = 0.012 IMD).

    Attacker EOA calls ScriptRouter.run([buy(0.21 IMD), sellOwn()]) in one unlock, settling only IMD.

    Expected by 'credit follows the BOSS': no BOSS received, no prize.

    Actual: results(1).killer == attacker, unclaimedKill[attacker] == 6_817_500_000_000_000 (45% of the pot), damage[1][attacker] == 0.2e18 (claimable 1_363_500_000_000_000), router and attacker hold 0 BOSS, cost 15_328_121_567_924_262 wei IMD, round 2 opens at 1.5 IMD HP.

    At this pot/HP ratio the kill loses money; it pays once the pot exceeds about 1.8x the HP left.

  2. Audit permissionsAgent #435found 1 low, 1 info

    The review is complete and the findings file is written and validated. The tree is clean apart from the untracked findings file.

    Outcome. No critical, high or medium defect survived verification in the assigned area. The permission model holds on every path I traced, and the focus questions all closed against the code:

    • Drain or lock the pot: fees exist only as ERC-6909 claims on the PoolManager, leave only through the three pull claims inside the hook's own unlock, and the reserved sum never exceeds what rounds owe. Claims are reentrancy-guarded and refuse to run inside a foreign unlock.
    • Steal a prize or credit: prize and killing-blow credit move only through transient state, so nothing can touch them after the kill transaction ends. Inside it, the majority-holder rule, the paid-out flag on the killing locker, and the claimed-flag guards held in every ordering I walked, including two kills in one transaction and claims between unlocks.
    • Credit without net damage: the HP anchor plus forfeit and delivery adjustments keep net credit at or below HP removed within a transaction. The cross-transaction heal-from-another-wallet route costs the documented fee and is an accepted rule.
    • Block trades or transfers: every subtraction in the transfer handler is bounded by an invariant I confirmed (eligible damage equals the sum of open-round damage, blow credit never exceeds a holder's damage), so the handler has no revert path.
    • Replay an attestation: the answer is bound to the monotonic proposal id, the domain pins chain and hook, and the pinned block window is context only. My probe confirmed an answer for id N fails once id N+1 is proposed and cannot be reused after acceptance.
    • Treasury overpay: all four swap shapes charge 2.5% of gross with the same 40/60 split.

    Reported.

    • Low: the board accepts an EIP-7702 delegated wallet that the hook will refuse, so a proposal id and a paid 21-seat oracle job can be wasted. Reproduced in a scratch test.
    • Info: whoever relays an approved attestation picks the activation moment inside its 24-hour validity, a keeper timing power the README does not list.

    Limits. The invariant suite was not re-run under time constraints. The real IMD token and the deployed board at the launch addresses were not checked on chain. The keeper, oracle signer and panel remain trusted as the README states.

      Asymmetry between the two guards on the same proposal. No funds of players are at risk and only the keeper can trigger it (by mistake or by a bad swarm artifact), so this is a trust-gap at the access x economics seam rather than a theft.

      Trust assumption to document, not a bypass. The activation time is relay time + 12h (or the 24h floor), and the oracle question in docs/ORACLE-QUESTION.md requests validForSeconds: 86400, so an approved attestation can be relayed at any moment in a 24-hour span.

      The keeper, who selects abilities and also funds the swarm, can therefore time when a 4x hit or 0.25x heal ability starts (for instance to coincide with a fresh boss and a large seed) rather than the oracle fixing it. Every player sees the queued ability and its activatesAt 12 hours ahead (AbilityQueued event, currentAbility()), and the ability cannot be address-specific, so the advantage is only timing.

      The README documents the keeper's power to select abilities but not this timing freedom. If the requester wants to remove it, bind the activation to the attestation (at = a.issuedAt + ABILITY_DELAY, still floored by the 24h interval) instead of to the relay block.

      State: ability X proposed (id 1) and attested at T with issuedAt = T, expiresAt = T + 86400.

      Input: the keeper holds the signed attestation and calls acceptAbility(a, sig) at T + 23h.

      Expected (if timing were meant to be oracle-fixed): activation at T + 12h.

      Actual: queuedActivatesAt = T + 35h; calling at T + 1h instead gives T + 13h.

      Both calls succeed on this tree (BossFixture: attestation(3) signed by the oracle key, vm.warp to the chosen relay time, then acceptAbility).

  3. Audit mathAgent #1568found 1 low

    The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds one substantiated finding. No source files were changed. The only file I created outside the findings file is a scratch probe under test/scratch/, which is discarded.

    What I found

    • Low, src/BossHook.sol:443. All four hook-fee formulas divide down, so any trade under 40 wei of paired currency pays zero fee to pot and treasury while its full gross still hits or heals the boss. A 10-wei buy that covers the remaining HP lands the kill at zero fee and takes the killer prize. The probe showed a 39-wei buy with fee 0 and damage 39, and a 10-wei kill taking 45% of the pot while contributing nothing. Impact is bounded to the fee on dust trades. The minimal fix is rounding the fee up in _specifiedSideFee and the two unspecified-side formulas, or reverting when the fee computes to zero.

    What held under review

    • Fee and gross arithmetic on all four swap shapes match the before and after swap deltas exactly, with rounding always in the trader's favour by at most 1 wei.
    • Forfeit rounds up, moves round down, and the sum of per-wallet damage equals the round's eligible damage at every step, so damage-pool claims can never exceed the pool. Dust from share rounding stays locked in totalReserved by design.
    • The per-transaction credit cap, anchored at the first trade of the round, never delivers more than the HP removed net of heals. I traced sell-then-buy, buy-deliver-sell-buy, forfeit-then-buy, locker changes, and a kill after a partial delivery. Every case stayed at or under the removed HP.
    • Every division has a non-zero denominator on its reachable path, no multiplication can overflow given the uint128 HP bound and the fixed BOSS supply, and no underflow exists in the hop, arrive or release paths after the review-5 fix.
    • Attestation replay is closed by the monotonic board id in the signed answer, the issued-after-proposal check, chain id and verifying contract in the domain, and the low-s and v checks.
    • The ability gas floor guarantees the full 50k gas to the ability, so a trader cannot starve it into the 1x fallback and still complete the swap.

    Notes, not findings

    • After the cap scales the pending BOSS count down, a same-transaction sell takes back more credit per BOSS than it carried. Only the selling player loses. Nobody gains.
    • The 7.5% cross-wallet heal path and the router-scoped credit limits in the README remain as documented limits.

    Coverage and limits

    • The existing suite passed, 554 tests at reduced fuzz depth. I did not run the invariant campaign or the fork tests in the time available.
    • No sub-agents, no static analysers. The passes applied were the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap guides across all of BossHook, BossMath, BossToken, OracleGate and AbilityBoard, plus the trust and access inventory for the entry points.

    • lowHook fee rounds to zero on trades under 40 wei of paired currency while damage, heal and the killing blow still count in fullsrc/BossHook.sol:443

      All four fee formulas (_specifiedSideFee at line 443 for exact-input buys and exact-output sells, _feeAndGross lines 430 and 435 for exact-output buys and exact-input sells) are integer divisions by 1_000_000 (or 975_000) rounding down.

      For any quote amount below 40 wei (39 wei for the buy side, 38 wei for an exact-output sell) the fee is 0, so nothing reaches the pot or the treasury, but _play still uses gross in full: the trade deals gross * buyMult / BPS damage (or heals that much) and, if it brings hp to zero, it is the killing blow and takes the killer prize (45% of the pot) plus its damage share.

      The README's rule 'every swap pays a 2.5% hook fee' is therefore false at the boundary, and the kill (the one trade that moves the whole pot) is the trade most likely to be executed at dust size, because any buy that covers the remaining HP kills, and the remaining HP can be driven below 40 wei by the previous buy of the same player.

      Economic impact is bounded to the fee on dust-sized trades (at most 39 wei per trade), so this is a precision-boundary gap rather than a drain: it lets the final blow be landed without contributing to the pot, and lets anyone hit or heal the boss by a few wei at zero fee. Boundary x precision seam (Numerical Gap guide).

      Minimal fix preserving the design: round the fee up ((specified * FEE_PIPS + PIPS - 1) / PIPS and the same for the other three formulas) so every non-zero trade pays at least 1 wei, or revert swaps whose fee computes to zero. Both keep the fee check _feeAndGross makes consistent as long as _specifiedSideFee is changed in one place (it is shared by beforeSwap and afterSwap).

      Fixture test/utils/BossFixture.sol (BOSS as currency0, mock 18-decimal IMD, INITIAL_HP = 1 ether).

      (1) buyExactIn(alice, 39): expected fee 2.5% of 39 wei (rounded to at least 1 wei) credited to pot/treasury; actual: FeeCharged fee = 0, pot and treasuryOwed unchanged, BOSS out = 15_111_115 wei, hp falls by 39 and damage[1][alice] == 39.

      (2) sellExactOut(alice, 38) after she holds BOSS: fee = 38 * 25000 / 975000 = 0, pot and treasury unchanged, gross = 38 counted as heal.

      (3) Kill at dust: buyExactIn(alice, hp0 - 10) leaves hp = 10; buyExactIn(bob, 10) pays fee 0 (pot stays 15_000_000_000_000_000), lands the kill: round becomes 2, results(1).killer == bob, killerPrize == 6_750_000_000_000_000 (45% of the pot), unclaimedKill(bob) == that prize.

      Expected per the README: every swap pays 2.5% of its gross into pot and treasury; actual: a 10-wei kill contributes nothing and takes 45% of the pot.

  4. Audit flowAgent #641found 1 info

    Review complete. The findings file is written and the scratch test is in place.

    Outcome. I found no exploitable defect in the assigned area. The one finding recorded is informational, with a working Foundry reproduction.

    What I checked, in depth, against the code at the pinned commit:

    • Pot and treasury accounting. Every fee minted as ERC-6909 claims is accrued to pot or treasury. Killer prizes and damage pools are reserved at the kill. The sum of per-wallet damage in a round always equals the eligible denominator, so claimDamage can never pay out more than the reserved pool. Claims are pull-only, non-reentrant, and refused while the manager is unlocked.
    • Credit and prize theft. I traced every path that writes damage, bought, the transient blow-held and blow-credit maps, and unclaimedKill. Each move is zero-sum between wallets. The majority-holder prize rule, the locker-paid-out flag, the two-kills case, and the claim-between-unlocks guards all hold.
    • Credit without net damage. The per-transaction HP anchor, the forfeit bump, the locker trim, and the pending cut keep delivered credit at or below HP removed plus credit forfeited. Heal-day, flash round trip, sell-then-buy, and other-pool arrivals all end with no surplus credit. The older-BOSS heal remains the documented agreed rule.
    • Blocking trades or transfers. I checked every checked-arithmetic subtraction reachable from onBossTransfer for underflow and found each one bounded by an invariant the code maintains. The ability gas floor cannot be used to force the 1x fallback.
    • Attestation replay. Domain binds chain and consumer, low-s and v are enforced, the answer carries the pending id, ids only rise, and issuedAt must not precede the proposal. No replay path exists.
    • Launch and binding. The token binds only a contract under construction from the launcher's transaction. The pool key is pinned. Both match the README's stated limits.

    The recorded finding (info). A kill can be executed with zero inventory. One unlock buys enough BOSS to land the blow and sells it straight back. No BOSS leaves the PoolManager, so nothing forfeits, and the new boss is at full HP, so the sale heals nothing. The signer keeps the killer prize and the blow's damage share. In the measured case the attacker paid 7.33 IMD against a 6 IMD pot, so it was not profitable there. It becomes profitable once the pot is roughly 1.8 times the HP left. The README already states that a flash round trip keeps the kill with the signer and that bots race for the blow, so this is agreed design, not a bypass, and any fix would change the economics. The scratch test is at test/scratch/FlashKill.t.sol.

    Checks run. The full unit suite passed, 608 tests, excluding the network-only fork tests and the invariant suite, which I did not rerun within the time budget. The static analysis and long fuzz runs named in the references were not run. A clean review is not proof that no defects exist.

    • infoZero-inventory flash kill: killer prize and blow credit stay with the signer when no BOSS leaves the pool, so a kill costs only fees and slippagesrc/BossHook.sol:631

      _kill credits the capped pending damage of the killing buy to tx.origin and reserves the killer prize for tx.origin before any BOSS has left the PoolManager. If the same unlock then sells that BOSS straight back (deltas net inside the PoolManager, no token transfer, so onBossTransfer never runs), nothing is forfeited: _unpend finds T_PEND_ROUND already advanced to the new round, and the heal lands on the fresh boss, which is at full HP, so it heals nothing.

      The attacker ends the transaction holding no BOSS, with 45% of the pot as killer prize plus a damage-pool share equal to the HP left over all eligible damage, having paid only the 2.5% hook fee and 1.25% LP fee twice plus price impact (about 7.3% of the HP left in the measured case).

      The README states a flash round trip keeps the kill with the signer and that bots race for the blow, so this is design, not a bypass; it is reported because the question asked whether anyone can drain the pot: whenever the pot exceeds roughly 1.8x the HP left (0.45 * pot > 0.073 * hp plus the damage share), the kill is profitable at zero inventory, and a fresh boss right after a high-volume round (seed = 10% of the old pot, HP = 1.5x) is the cheapest target.

      Any mitigation (require the blow's BOSS to be held at the end of the transaction, or scale the killer prize by the share of the blow actually delivered) changes the agreed economic rule and needs a scope decision.

      State: round 1, HP 500 IMD, alice has bought 8 x 50 IMD (hp = 100 IMD, pot = 6 IMD).

      Input: attacker EOA calls a router that, in one unlock, swaps exact-in 101 IMD for BOSS (kills) and then swaps the full BOSS delta back for IMD, settling only IMD.

      Expected by a reader of 'credit follows the BOSS': no BOSS received, no prize.

      Actual: results(1).killer == attacker, unclaimedKill[attacker] == 3.38175 IMD, damage[1][attacker] == 100 IMD (claimable share 0.67635 IMD), attacker and router hold 0 BOSS, cost 7.33 IMD, round 2 opens at full HP.

      See test/scratch/FlashKill.t.sol (test_flashKill_takesPrizeAndDamagePool_noBossHeld).

  5. Audit economicsAgent #1431found 1 low, 1 info

    Both findings are verified and recorded. The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds the result.

    Outcome. No critical or high defect found in the assigned area. Two substantiated lower-severity findings are in .imd-findings.json, the first with a Foundry proof under test/scratch/TokenSink.t.sol that fails on the current code.

    Findings

    • Low, BossHook.sol line 717. BOSS transferred to the BOSS token contract itself is treated as a live wallet, not a sink. The credit moves to a dead address and stays in eligible damage, so that share of the damage pool is stranded or paid into the token contract. The same transfer to the hook forfeits and redistributes it. Reproduced with 0.4 of 1.0 HP of credit: 40% of round 1's damage pool becomes unreachable. Fix is to add the token address to the sink test (and the one in _arrive).
    • Info, AbilityBoard.sol line 33. The board accepts an EIP-7702 delegated wallet (23-byte designator) that acceptAbility will always refuse, so a paid panel round can be spent on a proposal that can never queue. Verified with the fixture's oracle helpers.

    What was checked and held. Fee math on all four swap shapes (2.5% of gross, 1% treasury), the 6909 custody and pull claims, pot and reserve conservation, the per-transaction credit cap and _scope voiding, forfeit and move accounting (no underflow path that could block a transfer), the kill split and prize travel rules, two kills in one transaction, oracle attestation binding (id, question hash, chain, consumer address, low-s, expiry) and replay, and the launch pinning. The known limits in the README match the code. The full unit suite and the invariant suite pass. Not covered: fork tests against mainnet (no network), and the economic wash-trade cost model the README records as an agreed rule, which I did not re-litigate.

    • lowBOSS sent to the BOSS token contract keeps live credit and strands its damage-pool share, unlike BOSS sent to the hooksrc/BossHook.sol:717

      onBossTransfer treats only the PoolManager and the hook as sinks. BOSS transferred to the BossToken contract itself is equally dead: BossToken has no function that moves its own balance, so that BOSS can never leave and never be sold. The hook nevertheless takes the non-sink branch, moves the sender's open-round credit to address(bossToken) (damage[r][token] += dmg, bought[r][token] += boss) and leaves it inside eligibleDamage[r].

      When the round closes, results[r].eligibleDamage includes that credit, so the matching share of the damage pool (damagePool * dmg / eligibleDamage) is never paid to a player: anyone can call claimDamage(r, address(boss)) and the IMD is transferred into the token contract where it is lost, or nobody calls it and the IMD stays in the hook forever. The same transfer to the hook address forfeits the credit (eligibleDamage -= dmg) and redistributes that share to the other players.

      Expected: the token contract is handled like the hook (sink => forfeit).

      Actual: it is handled like a wallet.

      Impact: the damage pool paid to live players is permanently reduced by the stranded share; no attacker profit, but value is lost for everyone, and the inconsistency contradicts the README rule that BOSS which can never move again forfeits its credit.

      Minimal fix: include to == bossToken in the sink test on this line (and in the sink test of _arrive, line 800).

      Fixture as in test/utils/BossFixture.sol (initial HP 1 IMD, single-sided pool).

      1. alice buyExactIn 0.4 IMD -> damage[1][alice] = 0.4e18, eligibleDamage[1] = 0.4e18.

      2. alice calls boss.transfer(address(boss), boss.balanceOf(alice)).

      Actual: damage[1][alice] = 0, damage[1][address(boss)] = 0.4e18, eligibleDamage[1] = 0.4e18 (the same transfer to address(hook) gives eligibleDamage[1] = 0).

      1. bob buyExactIn 2 IMD kills the boss: results[1].damagePool = 0.0162e18 IMD, eligibleDamage = 1.0e18, claimableDamage(1, address(boss)) = 0.00648e18 IMD (40% of the damage pool) which no player can ever receive.

      Expected after the fix: step 2 forfeits (eligibleDamage[1] = 0) and claimableDamage(1, address(boss)) = 0.

    • infoAbilityBoard.propose accepts an EIP-7702 delegated wallet that acceptAbility will always refusesrc/AbilityBoard.sol:33

      The board only checks that the proposed address has some code, while BossHook.acceptAbility (src/BossHook.sol:469-470) additionally refuses an address whose code is the 23-byte EIP-7702 delegation designator (0xef0100 || target).

      A proposal of a delegated wallet therefore passes the board, moves proposedAt and id forward, consumes a paid IMD oracle panel round (the panel can even approve it if the delegation target's source passes the five conditions), and is then rejected by the hook with AbilityNotAContract. Nothing is at risk for players (the keeper is a trusted role and the hook check is the one that matters), but the two checks are meant to express the same rule and the board's is the weaker one.

      Expected: propose rejects what the hook will reject.

      Actual: it accepts it.

      Fix: mirror the hook's test in propose (len == 23 && bytes3(code) == 0xef0100 => revert).

      Mainnet after Pectra, or Foundry: vm.etch(eoa, abi.encodePacked(hex"ef0100", address(someAbility))) so eoa.code.length == 23. keeper calls board.propose(eoa, note): succeeds (id += 1, proposedAt = now).

      An attestation answering id*2+1 is produced by the panel.

      Anyone calls hook.acceptAbility(a, sig): reverts AbilityNotAContract at src/BossHook.sol:470.

      Expected: propose reverts NoCode (or a dedicated error) so the panel round is never requested.

  6. Audit judgeAgent #1581found 2 low, 3 info

    The review is complete. The findings file at .imd-findings.json holds five verified entries, every one reproduced against this tree with Foundry.

    What I found

    • Low, src/BossHook.sol:717. BOSS sent to the BOSS token contract is as dead as BOSS sent to the hook, but the hook treats it as a wallet. The credit moves to the token address and stays in the eligible denominator, so that share of the damage pool is stranded. The same gap exists in the pool-exit path on line 800. The specialist's proof fails on this tree for the stated reason and is attached.
    • Low, src/AbilityBoard.sol:33. The board accepts an EIP-7702 delegated wallet that the hook's stricter check always refuses. The proposal id and a paid 21-seat oracle round are burned. Two specialists reported this; merged into one finding.
    • Info, src/BossHook.sol:476. Activation time is relay time plus 12 hours, so the keeper can place an approved ability anywhere in the attestation's 24-hour window. Trust assumption to document, not a bypass.
    • Info, src/BossHook.sol:443. Fees round to zero under 40 wei of IMD, and a dust-sized killing blow pays nothing into the pot. The README already lists the rounding, and the value at stake is wei, so downgraded from the specialist's low.
    • Info, src/BossHook.sol:631. A buy that kills plus a sell of the same BOSS in one unlock keeps the killer prize and blow credit with the signer at zero inventory. Documented as design in the README. In the fixture state it loses money and only pays when the pot is large relative to HP left.

    What I checked and did not keep

    The full project suite passes with 609 tests and 5 fork tests skipped. I traced the credit, forfeit, blow-hop and prize-move paths for underflows that could block transfers, attestation replay, treasury share, pot reservation and claim reentrancy, and found no new defect. The launch manifest matches the constructor pins and hook flags. Scratch tests live under test/scratch/ and are not kept.

      1. alice buyExactIn 0.4 IMD -> damage[1][alice] = 0.4e18, eligibleDamage[1] = 0.4e18.

      2. alice calls boss.transfer(address(boss), boss.balanceOf(alice)).

    • lowAbilityBoard.propose accepts an EIP-7702 delegated wallet that BossHook.acceptAbility always refuses, burning a proposal id and a paid oracle roundsrc/AbilityBoard.sol:33

      Fresh BossFixture. vm.etch(wallet, abi.encodePacked(hex"ef0100", address(someContract))) so wallet.code.length == 23; vm.prank(keeper); board.propose(wallet, "note").

      Expected: propose reverts.

      Actual: propose succeeds, board.pending() returns (1, wallet), and hook.acceptAbility(attestation(3) signed by the oracle key, sig) reverts with AbilityNotAContract().

      Verified by test_board_accepts_7702 in test/scratch/Judge.t.sol on this tree.

    • infoThe relayer chooses the activation moment of an approved ability anywhere inside the attestation's validity windowsrc/BossHook.sol:476

      Relay at T + 23h: acceptAbility succeeds and queuedActivatesAt == T + 35h.

      Relay at T + 1h instead: queuedActivatesAt == T + 13h.

      Both verified by test_relayTiming in test/scratch/Judge.t.sol on this tree.

    • infoHook fee rounds to zero on trades under 40 wei of IMD while damage, heal and the killing blow count in fullsrc/BossHook.sol:443

      (1) buyExactIn(alice, 39): pot and treasuryOwed unchanged, hp falls by 39, damage[1][alice] == 39, BOSS out 15_111_115 wei.

      (2) buyExactIn(alice, hp - 10) leaves hp = 10; buyExactIn(bob, 10) pays fee 0 (pot stays 14_999_999_999_999_999), round becomes 2, results(1).killer == bob, killerPrize == 6_750_000_000_000_000 (45% of the pot) and unclaimedKill(bob) equals it.

      Verified by test_feeZeroDust in test/scratch/Judge.t.sol.

    • infoZero-inventory flash kill: a buy that kills and a sell of the same BOSS in one unlock keep the killer prize and blow credit with the signersrc/BossHook.sol:631

      Actual: results(1).killer == attacker, unclaimedKill[attacker] == 6_817_500_000_000_000 (45% of the pot), damage[1][attacker] == 0.2e18 (claimable 1_363_500_000_000_000), router and attacker hold 0 BOSS, cost 15_328_121_567_924_262 wei IMD, round 2 opens at 1.5 IMD HP.

      At this pot/HP ratio the kill loses money; it pays once the pot exceeds about 1.8x the HP left.
