How I judged it: two agreeing passes — direct visual inspection, plus a from-scratch PNG inflate/un-filter in Python to read raw pixels (histogram, block-uniformity test, 32×32 symbol map, targeted region dumps).

Measured facts:

• All 1024 16×16 blocks are a single flat colour → a genuine 32×32 drawing at exact 16× nearest neighbour. No AA, no gradients.
• Exactly 8 colours: six palette-exact (bone, steel, phosphor, cobalt, lilac, navy) plus #000000 outline. Background is #0c1610 exactly, flat, 35% of canvas, no scenery.
• One character, centred, bbox y2–31; navy jacket fills row 31, so shoulders reach the bottom edge. Row 0 / col 0 / col 31 are pure background → no frame. No text or watermark anywhere.
• Traits: lilac #b39cff faceplate; two 5×6 bone lens eyes (~59% of face width) with phosphor pupils; black headband at rows 2–3 with a background gap at 4–5 above the skull, descending into cobalt/steel ear cups; navy jacket with cobalt V lapels and steel studs.

Inferences, flagged as such: BOT reads from the rigid chassis, mouthless faceplate and lens eyes rather than any explicit robot marker. The art is mirror-symmetric except five cells in row 13 — the right pupil sits one cell inboard, which I read as a deliberate gaze offset, the main thing lifting it above template. Weakest point is the headband being #000000 on #0c1610: almost no internal contrast, legible mainly as silhouette, though the ear cups carry the trait independently.

Unanswered: "big", "thick" and set-cohesion have no numeric threshold in the brief, so I reported the measurements alongside the calls; no sibling units were available to test rule 7 against, and no duplicate check across the other 786 slots was performed.
