Build a complete, polished single-page web app "SqueekWheel: Hamster-Powered Mining". It must feel like a finished product, not a demo: no placeholders, TODOs or lorem ipsum.

CONCEPT

A charming idle/clicker game parodying blockchain mining. A hamster runs on a wheel; each rotation earns "squeeks". Enough squeeks mine a block that slides into a visible on-screen chain. Players earn Squeek Points (SP), level up, finish quests, unlock badges and climb a leaderboard. Wallet connect is a fully OPTIONAL extra. Tagline: "Mined by hamsters. Secured by squeaks."

GUEST-FIRST (critical)

The whole game works with NO wallet. No login wall, no wallet prompt on load, no blocking modal. Guests get an editable nickname (e.g. "Fluffy Cheddar 42") and a deterministic hamster avatar, and appear on the leaderboard. Wallet users get extras only: address-based avatar, verified checkmark, cosmetic hats/wheel color, "Verified Miner" title, 3 wallet badges (marked "Optional"), one-time +5% SP bonus. A dismissible banner says: "Optional: connect a wallet for a verified profile and cosmetics. You can keep playing without one." A guest can connect anytime and keep all progress (confirm: "Keep your current progress and link it to this wallet?"). Disconnect returns to guest mode without losing the save. With no wallet extension installed, show no error; the Connect button opens a friendly modal with install links.

WALLET (optional, well made)

  • "Connect Wallet (optional)" in header and profile, never a gate.
  • EIP-1193 via window.ethereum plus EIP-6963 discovery; picker modal with icons.
  • Show short address, avatar, balance, network.
  • Handle: connecting, rejection (calm "No problem, keep playing as a guest"), locked, accountsChanged, chainChanged, disconnect, silent auto-reconnect via eth_accounts.
  • Optional personal_sign verification (no gas, no transaction) that only adds the checkmark.
  • CHAIN_CONFIG constant at top (name, chainId, rpcUrl, symbol, explorer) with placeholder values; optional Switch/Add Network button; wrong network shows a dismissible hint, never a blocker.
  • Security: never ask for keys, approvals or transactions. Show: "SqueekWheel only reads your address. It never moves your funds." Sanitize displayed data.
  • Save data keyed per profile (guest ID or address).

GAMEPLAY

  1. Animated inline-SVG hamster and wheel; speed reflects squeeks/sec. Click, tap or Space gives a Turbo boost with cooldown meter.
  2. Smooth number tweening and floating "+N" particles.
  3. Block mining with rising difficulty; blocks show number, fake hash, timestamp and rarity (Common/Rare/Epic/Legendary with glow and bonus SP).
  4. Shop with 12 upgrades: Wheel (Better Bearings, Silent Axle, Golden Wheel, Quantum Wheel), Fuel (Sunflower Seeds, Protein Pellets, Cheese Reactor, Energy Drink), Crew (Intern, Engineer, Miner Squad, Robo-Hamster). Exponential costs, owned count, effect preview, disabled state, Buy x1/x10/Max.
  5. Random events: Golden Seed, Cat Nearby (slows 5s; click the laser pointer to scare it), Lucky Block (Epic), Power Surge (2x for 15s), with toasts and timer bar.
  6. Rebirth/prestige for a permanent multiplier and badge, with confirmation modal.
  7. Offline earnings "Welcome back" modal, capped at 8 hours.

PROGRESSION

  • Squeeks (spendable) and SP (permanent ranking score).
  • XP and levels 1-50 with titles (Pup, Wheel Runner, Block Miner, Chain Keeper, Hamster Whale, Grand Squeeker) and confetti level-ups.
  • Daily check-in with 7-day streak calendar.
  • Daily/weekly quests with progress bars, claim buttons, reset timers.
  • Local referral code with copy button.
  • "Season 1: Cheddar Season" progress bar with milestones.

BADGES

20+ badges (Mining, Wealth, Loyalty, Skill, Secret, Wallet), each with SVG icon, rarity, description, progress and unlock date. Secret ones like Night Owl (2-4am), Early Bird, Cat Whisperer. Unlock toast with sound; gallery with filters.

LEADERBOARD AND PROFILE

  • Tabs: All-time, Weekly, Daily; rank, avatar, name/address, level, SP. Highlight and pin the user's row. Verified checkmark for signed wallets.
  • No backend: use an adapter (getLeaderboard(), submitScore()) over localStorage with seeded players, each tagged "Demo", commented so a real API can replace it.
  • Profile: avatar, editable nickname, address with copy/explorer link, level, SP, badge showcase, stats (squeeks, blocks, best SPS, playtime, join date), "Connect wallet (optional)" card, and "Share My Hamster Card" (canvas/SVG to PNG plus copied text).

DESIGN

Cute, bold, premium: warm orange/cream with dark navy chain accents, dark and light mode (respect prefers-color-scheme), chunky rounded cards, glass accents, glowing rare blocks, smooth rAF animations, respect prefers-reduced-motion. Sticky header (logo, level/SP chip, wallet button), game area, tabbed panel (Shop, Quests, Badges, Leaderboard, Profile), footer; mobile bottom tab bar. Web Audio sounds with remembered mute toggle. All graphics inline SVG/CSS/emoji; no external assets or CDNs.

TECHNICAL

  • Single index.html, vanilla JS (ES2020+), no frameworks or build step.
  • Commented, sectioned code: State, Profile/Wallet, Game Loop, Shop, Quests, Badges, Leaderboard, UI, Audio.
  • Must run even if window.ethereum is undefined or localStorage is blocked (in-memory fallback).
  • Delta-time loop, versioned save with migration, 10s autosave, export/import save string, confirmed reset.
  • Big-number formatting (1.2K, 3.4M).
  • Accessibility: keyboard navigation, focus states, ARIA live toasts, skip link, AA contrast.
  • try/catch around wallet and storage calls; zero console errors.
  • Meta, Open Graph, Twitter tags, inline SVG favicon.
  • Skippable 3-step tutorial, "How it works" and a FAQ saying the wallet is optional and safe.

SCOPE PRIORITY

If you must cut scope, keep this order: core gameplay, shop, save/offline, optional wallet, quests/check-in, badges, leaderboard/profile, polish. Never ship broken features; remove a low-priority one rather than ship it buggy.

OUTPUT

Deliver the full working index.html, ready to deploy. Mentally test: guest with no wallet, wallet installed but unused, connect mid-game, rejection, signature, disconnect, account switch, reload. Fix any bug found.

Recorded five reproducible findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • bug: Switching wallet accounts during nickname editing leaves the previous profile visible; submitting its draft renames the new account.
    • bug: Reopening within 60 seconds discards offline earnings.
    • bug: An accepted backup containing an invalid badge timestamp breaks the Badges tab.
    • bug: A dismissed wallet connection reopens its confirmation dialog when the pending request resolves.
    • bug: Mining replaces the disabled verification button while a signature is pending, allowing duplicate signature requests.

The existing suite passed 122 DOM assertions. Additional targeted tests reproduced all five findings. Source citations and report JSON were validated. Website files remain unchanged.

The requirement inventory follows. Met means source or DOM evidence; it does not certify rendered behavior. Missing/partial identifies incomplete behavior. After review identifies outstanding browser verification.

    • mediumbug: switching wallet accounts leaves the previous profile editableindex.html:5357

Now: renderPanel returns whenever the nickname input has focus, including after accountsChanged loads a different profile. The address and score switch while the profile name, stats, address controls and draft remain from the old account.

Change to: preserve an active nickname draft only while the same profile is active; force a profile render and clear the old draft on account changes, disconnect and silent reconnect.

Why: the brief requires account-switch handling and saves keyed per profile; edits must clearly target the profile shown.

Width 390px (in-memory DOM; no layout claim).

Link wallet 0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111, save its nickname as Wallet One, and open Profile.

Focus Miner nickname and type Unsaved Typing.

Have the provider emit accountsChanged with 0x2222222222222222222222222222222222222222, whose local save is named Wallet Two with 999 SP.

Measured result: wallet.address and state.name become the second address and Wallet Two; state.sp is 1048.95 after its connection bonus, but .profile-hero still reads Wallet One and the input still contains Unsaved Typing.

Submitting that form renames the second profile using the first profile draft.

Expected: the second account profile and its nickname appear immediately.

    • mediumbug: reopening within a minute discards all offline earningsindex.html:3908

Now: welcomeBack returns before advance whenever an absence is shorter than 60 seconds, so short closed-page sessions earn nothing despite the continuous offline-mining promise.

Change to: always credit positive elapsed time up to eight hours and save the updated timestamp; use the 60-second threshold only to decide whether to show the welcome-back modal.

Why: the brief requires offline earnings capped at eight hours, and the shop promises upgrades keep mining while away.

Width 390px; behavior is independent of viewport.

Save a fresh profile at 1 squeek/sec, close the page for 30 seconds, and reopen.

A DOM reload with lastSaved=Date.now()-30000 produced state.totalSqueeks=0 and no welcome modal; 59 seconds likewise produced 0, while 60 seconds produced about 60 squeeks.

Expected about 30 and 59 squeeks respectively, without requiring a modal.

The live-tab visibility handler already credits absences below 60 seconds, making closed-page behavior inconsistent.

    • mediumbug: an accepted backup with an invalid badge date breaks the Badges tabindex.html:3133

Now: save validation accepts arbitrarily large finite badge timestamps; the badge renderer then calls toISOString on an invalid Date and throws an uncaught RangeError. The import is saved successfully before this happens.

Change to: validate badge unlock dates as finite epoch milliseconds within the supported date range and no later than the current time; reject the import clearly or discard invalid badge entries before replacing the current save.

Why: imported saves must be validated, and the brief requires zero console errors and a playable game after storage operations.

      Width 390px (DOM simulation).

Open Save & settings and paste exactly SQW3.eyJ2ZXJzaW9uIjozLCJzdGF0ZSI6eyJuYW1lIjoiQmFkZ2UgZGF0ZSB0ZXN0IiwiYmFkZ2VzIjp7ImZpcnN0IjoxZSsxMDB9fX0= .

Click Import save, then Import & replace, then Badges.

The accepted payload is {"version":3,"state":{"name":"Badge date test","badges":{"first":1e100}}}.

Measured result: tab becomes badges but panel-content still contains the Shop markup; the error listener receives RangeError: Invalid time value from renderBadges at line 4404.

Expected: reject the malformed date before replacing the save, or sanitize it so Badges renders normally.

    • mediumbug: a dismissed wallet request reopens a blocking dialog when it resolvesindex.html:4708

Now: resolving eth_requestAccounts always opens the progress-link confirmation, even after the player has closed the wallet picker and returned to the game or opened another dialog.

Change to: track the current connection attempt and invalidate it when the wallet dialog closes; ignore late results from dismissed attempts and require an explicit new Connect action before showing another confirmation.

Why: connecting is optional, and dismissing it must let a guest keep playing without a delayed modal interrupting a subsequent action.

Width 390px (DOM simulation with an EIP-1193 provider).

Click Connect Wallet (optional), select the provider, and leave eth_requestAccounts pending.

The status reads Waiting for your wallet.

      Your hamster is still mining.

      Close the dialog; measured dialog.open=false.

Resolve that same request with ["0x1111111111111111111111111111111111111111"].

Without another page click, measured dialog.open=true and dialog-title becomes Keep your hamster’s hard work?.

Expected: the dismissed attempt does not reopen the dialog or replace another task.

    • mediumbug: mining re-enables signature verification while a signature is pendingindex.html:5112

Now: signature pending state exists only on the current button element. A mined block re-renders Profile and replaces it with an enabled Verify button while personal_sign is still pending, allowing duplicate wallet prompts.

Change to: keep verification pending state independently of the DOM, guard verifyWallet against concurrent calls, render the disabled pending button from that state, and clear it in finally for the matching profile/request.

Why: optional verification should have a stable pending/retry state while the idle game continues mining.

      Width 390px (DOM simulation).

Link a wallet, open Profile, click Verify profile with a free signature, and keep personal_sign unresolved.

Measured button.disabled=true and label Check your wallet….

Let a block mine while waiting (reproduced with mineBlock("Common"); tick(performance.now()+150), which executes the normal panel refresh).

The replacement button now has disabled=false and label Verify profile with a free signature.

Click again: the provider records two simultaneous personal_sign requests.

Expected: one pending request and a disabled pending button until resolution, rejection, disconnect or account change.
