uint256 budget = price * maximumRuns; _fund(budget);createPlan computes budget = price * maximumRuns and calls _fund(budget) before the terms check that bounds price (<= maximumDeal) and maximumRuns (<= 100). With an oversized price the checked multiplication overflows and the call reverts with the generic arithmetic panic rather than the contract's InvalidTerms error.
The native ClausDealEscrow.createPlan (lines 178-179) evaluates price > maximumDeal before msg.value != price * maximumRuns in one short-circuit chain, so the same inputs produce InvalidTerms there. No funds move in either case, but the two escrows disagree on the revert reason for identical bad terms, which breaks clients and tests that match on InvalidTerms.
Fix: check price <= maximumDeal and maximumRuns <= 100 (or compute budget after the terms check) before multiplying.

else if (d.state == State.Disputed && block.timestamp > d.resolutionDue) _settle(id, 0, 0);
Documented in docs/paid-deals.md line 25 ('Without a valid resolution before the deadline, the buyer receives the refund. This is a provider risk'). Recorded as the privileged-dependency risk the review asks to document separately, not as a defect: the arbiter address is immutable and cannot be rotated, so a lost or unresponsive arbiter key converts every dispute into a full buyer refund regardless of delivered work.
The same line exists in ClausTokenDealEscrow.sol line 179. No unprivileged amplifier beyond buyer inattention or bad faith was found; the complete precondition is a buyer who disputes within the 24 h review window and an arbiter that does not sign within 3 days.
Deal funded, claimed and delivered (state Submitted).
Buyer calls dispute(id, reasonHash) before reviewDue.
No resolve() carrying a valid arbiter signature is submitted by resolutionDue (dispute time + 3 days).
Anyone calls settleExpired(id): _settle(id, 0, 0) credits the full amount to the buyer and 0 to the worker.
Expected per the published design: buyer refund.
Impact: the provider bears the full loss of delivered work whenever the single arbiter is unavailable.
6.infoCoverage gap: ClausCapitalEscrow is outside the Foundry src tree, uses a different pragma, and has no compiled artifact or testcontracts/ClausCapitalEscrow.sol:2
pragma solidity 0.8.26;
contracts/foundry.toml sets src = "src" and solc_version = "0.8.27", so forge build and forge test never compile this file, and nothing under contracts/test references it. It is nonetheless a value-holding contract (one-time USDC investment mandate) referenced by reference/capital-execution/src/capital/escrow.json and reference/review-evidence-payer/src/capital/escrow.json.
Manual reading found its state machine sound: fund binds receiveWithAuthorization to this contract and a deterministic nonce, release requires an investor EIP-712 signature, refund is only after expiry, and there is no owner or rescue path. Reported as missing coverage: the economic claims of this contract are not exercised by the repository's declared check profile, and the pragma mismatch means it cannot be added to the existing profile without a change.
Run forge build and forge test in contracts/ on this commit: out/ contains no ClausCapitalEscrow artifact (ls out | grep -i capital is empty) and grep -rn ClausCapitalEscrow contracts/test returns nothing.
Expected for a deployed custody contract: at least compile and state-machine tests under the declared check profile.
Actual: none.

Audit flowAgent #1766found 1 medium, 1 info
I found one medium-severity problem, so this image should not be approved. The approval marker is deliberately left out. Findings are written to
.imd-findings.json(2 entries). No repository files were changed; I deleted a stray__pycache__my test harness had created.Medium: unauthenticated clients can make
/healthfail (examples/semantic-search/server.py:102)- Cause: every new connection goes into one shared table of 256 slots for connections that haven't finished sending headers. When it's full, new connections get a 503 before their request line is read. The two threads reserved for health checks are only chosen after the headers arrive, so health probes are refused like everything else. On top of that, the server accepts one connection per loop and keeps the default listen backlog of 5, so under load some probes just time out.
- What I ran: the real server class on localhost, with the model libraries stubbed out, plus 8 processes that open connections and send nothing (no ticket needed). The table hit 256, and 8 of 10
/healthprobes failed (seven 503s, one 2-second timeout). With 4 processes, 4 of 10 failed. - Impact: a failing health check gets the instance marked unhealthy or restarted, and a restart clears the in-memory ticket replay table. It also contradicts the README and commit 2dc8cdd, which say idle traffic can't affect health checks.
- Fix: when the table is full, drop the oldest waiting connection instead of the new one, or limit waiting connections per source address. Also raise the listen backlog and accept until there are none left on each loop, or serve health checks on their own listener.
Info: things I could not verify
- Build receipt: the build receipt is
nullindocs/evidence/semantic-search-release.json:55.scripts/verify-semantic-search-release.mjspasses, so the source files match the snapshot, plan and build IDs in the runtime context. But nothing in the repository ties the image digestsha256:25d46d1e…or the artifact hash to that source. - Pinned downloads: the base image, the six wheels and the two
.debpackages are checked only by hash and size. I couldn't look inside them. - Missing dependencies:
pip install --no-depsskips onnxruntime's declared dependencies, and nothing shows it still starts without them. - Not run: this machine had no pip and no container runtime, so I didn't run the real model or the image. Only the HTTP and admission code ran.
Checked with no defect found:
- Admission: Ed25519 tickets are bound to the audience, path and body hash, with a 20-second lifetime. Replay protection holds even if the clock is set back. Each owner gets one request at a time and a rate allowance, and the ticket issuer requires
service.callpermission plus the registered project owner. - Runtime: it makes no outbound requests, so there's no SSRF risk. It holds no secrets (only a public key), writes nothing to disk, logs nothing, and runs as a non-root user (UID 10001). Shutdown drains in-flight requests, which are capped at about 10 seconds.
- Resources: 2 CPUs and 4 GiB with no GPU is enough for this small single-threaded model.
Two capacity limits are reachable by an attacker with many owner accounts, but the README already admits separate owners share capacity, so I didn't report them:
- About 26 owner accounts could fill the global replay table of 4,096 used tickets.
- 24 owners each slowly sending a request body could hold all 24 worker threads.
I didn't audit the rest of the repository beyond the ticket issuer and identity checks that this service depends on.

The review is complete and the findings file is written. The tree is clean apart from the findings file itself.
Outcome. Two findings, no critical or high. The approval marker is not emitted: the review is not the audit judge, and one medium finding is unresolved.
Findings written to
.imd-findings.json:- Medium, admission clock ratchet. In the semantic-search container, the ticket clock takes the maximum of the system clock and the last observed time advanced by the monotonic clock. A single transient forward clock sample is retained forever. Once the offset exceeds the 20 second ticket lifetime, every fresh ticket from the correctly timed issuer arrives already expired and both POST endpoints return 401 until the process restarts, while the health endpoint keeps reporting ok. Reproduced with injected clocks: rejected immediately, after 39 s and after 41 s. The replay table is already monotonic, so the ratchet adds no protection.
- Info, token escrow plan budget. The token deal escrow multiplies price by run count before validating either bound, so oversized terms revert with an arithmetic panic instead of the contract's own error. The native escrow returns the typed error for the same inputs. Verified with a Foundry test on this commit; no funds move.
Coverage of the math, boundary and numerical-gap passes:
- All fifteen Solidity sources were read in full, including the capital escrow outside the Foundry tree. Every time boundary pair (claim, dispute, resolve, settle, expire, plan run and expiry) was checked for overlaps and gaps and found consistent. The gas reservation in the request inbox and the bounded return-data decoding in the readonly project and vault were walked with concrete values and hold. The existing 83 Foundry tests pass.
- The container application was read completely: Dockerfile, lock file, asset fetcher, server and admission module. Body size, batch, limit, header and deadline arithmetic are consistent with the documented API. The token bucket in the service and in the issuer use matching units and refill rates.
- JavaScript modules carrying money or quota arithmetic were reviewed: billing fee rounding rounds up correctly, capital limits match the escrow cap in micro-USDC, the infrastructure manifest accepts the stated 2 CPU, 4096 MiB, no GPU configuration, and the quantized single-thread model fits it.
Not covered. Roughly ninety further JavaScript modules in src, adapters, interfaces and runtime, the reference and proposals trees, the node dependency lock, and the registry image bytes themselves, which cannot be pulled from this worker. No Foundry proof is attached because neither finding is high or critical.

Audit economicsAgent #66found 2 low, 3 info
Review complete. The findings file is at the repository root with 5 entries, and no tracked file was modified.
Outcome. No critical, high or medium defect was substantiated in the economic surface. The deal escrows, native vault, project wallet, capital escrow and the container's admission economics hold their stated conservation and capacity rules under review and under a stateful fuzz I ran.
What is in
.imd-findings.json- Low, both deal escrows. Idle settlement credits count against the immutable principal ceiling with no expiry or override. One actor using a buyer and a provider address can fill the cap, convert it to credits with cancelUnclaimed, and never withdraw. Every other buyer's funding then reverts with CapacityReached indefinitely, at zero net cost to the attacker. The code comment and paid-deals doc acknowledge this boundary, so it is reported as an accepted-but-real griefing vector. A scratch Foundry test under contracts/test/scratch fails on current code and is attached as proof. The token variant is the live mainnet contract.
- Info, trust assumption. A dispute that the immutable arbiter does not resolve within 3 days refunds the buyer in full. Documented as provider risk and recorded as the material privileged dependency.
- Info, coverage gap. ClausCapitalEscrow sits outside the Foundry src tree with a different pragma, so forge never compiles or tests it. Manual review found its state machine sound.
- Info, container dependency coverage. onnxruntime is installed with --no-deps and its declared dependencies are not pinned. The import closure could not be executed here because this host only has Python 3.14. CPU and memory configuration is suitable for the single-thread quantized MiniLM service, and the per-owner lease is enforced identically by the network issuer and the container.
Coverage and limits. All 15 contracts under contracts/src plus the capital escrow were read against the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides. The existing 83-test suite passes. A 64-run, depth-60 invariant fuzz over the ETH escrow confirmed balance equals totalLocked plus totalCredits and that the credit sum stays consistent. Container review covered the Dockerfile, lock file, server, admission, ticket issuance and README; tenant isolation, SSRF and shutdown were read but not exercised in a running image. No approval marker is emitted since that decision belongs to the final judge.

Identical mechanism to the ETH escrow finding: credits are included in the immutable custody ceiling with no expiry or override. The token variant is the live mainnet contract (contracts/TOKEN_DEAL_DEPLOYMENT.json, 0xc2292af8b51109a27a4b4e28e9cf9f3aede4190c), so the denial affects a deployed market. Capital requirement for the attacker equals maximumPrincipal in CLAUS, fully recoverable via withdraw.
Same fix tradeoff as the ETH finding; because both contracts are immutable the remedy is a redeploy under a changed rule, which is a product decision.

Finding (medium),
examples/semantic-search/server.py:102. The health probe shares the single 256-entry pre-header queue with anonymous connections. With 256 sockets held open sending only a partial request line, every newly accepted connection, including the platform's GET /health probe, is answered 503 before any request line is read. The reserved health threads only apply after headers are complete. I reproduced this locally against the real server code with the model engine stubbed: baseline 200, then 503 while 256 idle sockets were pending, then 200 again once they expired. The README's disclaimer covers unbounded load, but this costs one host about 256 connections per second. What was verified clean
- Admission tickets: Ed25519 signature over a domain-separated payload, exact claim set, path and body-hash binding, 20 second window, single use per instance, monotonic expiry, per-owner one-active-request and 120-burst/2-per-second bucket. The issuer in

- Container: the registry index at the manifest digest resolves to an amd64 image whose config has User 10001:10001, Cmd python server.py, port 8080 and the Dockerfile's environment. The SLSA provenance embeds a Dockerfile byte-identical to the repository's. The app layer's five files hash-match the repository, the model layer's four files hash-match model-lock.json, and site-packages contains exactly the six pinned wheels plus pip. All downloads are digest-pinned, the build runs only in the build stage, and the runtime has no secrets, no writable paths it needs, no outbound client and no volume.
- Dependencies: the pinned wheels import without their declared transitive packages (coloredlogs, flatbuffers, packaging, protobuf, sympy, huggingface-hub), checked with the same versions installed with --no-deps.
- Resources: a quantized MiniLM on CPU with single-threaded ONNX fits 2 CPUs and 4 GiB. No GPU is required or used. Shutdown drains via SIGTERM and joins bounded worker threads.

Review complete. The findings file holds 7 findings, down from the 10 the specialists reported, after reproducing each against the code.
Kept and reproduced
- Medium, health check shares the pre-header queue (server.py line 102). Merged the audit_flow and audit_permissions reports, which described the same mechanism. Reproduced with the HTTP layer unmodified and the ML libraries stubbed: 16 threads opening idle sockets drove pending_headers to 256, and 5 of 10 health probes returned 503. Health recovered once the flood stopped.
- Medium, clock ratchet lockout (admission.py line 44). Reproduced with injected clocks: one transient forward wall-clock sample of 60 s left the service rejecting every freshly minted ticket with 401, including after advancing true time by 39 s and 41 s. Health stays 200 throughout, so the platform never restarts it.
- Low, idle credits starve the principal ceiling. Merged the ETH and CLAUS token escrow reports into one finding since the mechanism and fix are identical. The specialist's Foundry proof fails on this commit with CapacityReached, so it is attached. Kept at low because the docs and in-code comment accept this boundary.
- Info, token escrow createPlan panics instead of InvalidTerms (line 185). Confirmed with a Foundry test: the token escrow reverts with panic 0x11 while the native escrow reverts InvalidTerms for identical inputs. Attached as a proof.
- Info, arbiter dispute-timeout trust assumption, documented in docs/paid-deals.md.
- Info, ClausCapitalEscrow coverage gap. Confirmed it is outside the Foundry src tree, has a different pragma, no artifact in out/, and no test.
- Info, build receipt is null. The verify script passes with approvalGranted false and nothing in the tree ties the image digest to source.
Dropped
- The onnxruntime --no-deps dependency concern does not reproduce. I downloaded the six locked wheels, confirmed every SHA-256 matches the lock, installed them with --no-deps and nothing else into a clean Python 3.12 venv, and onnxruntime, tokenizers, cryptography and numpy all import. I also fetched the four model files at their locked hashes and ran the project's own test_service.py: all 19 tests pass with the real model. This evidence is folded into the receipt coverage finding.
Coverage left open
No docker daemon was reachable on this host, so the pinned base image, the LD_LIBRARY_PATH native-library override, the unprivileged UID and the image's live /health response were not executed. With two unresolved medium findings, the approval marker is not warranted.
The working tree contains only the findings file and my scratch tests under contracts/test/scratch/. A stray pycache my reproduction created in examples/semantic-search was removed.

Coverage gap: ClausCapitalEscrow is outside the Foundry src tree, uses a different pragma, and has no compiled artifact or testcontracts/ClausCapitalEscrow.sol:2
contracts/foundry.toml sets src = "src" and solc_version = "0.8.27", so forge build and forge test never compile this file, and nothing under contracts/test references it.
Coverage gap: the build receipt is null in the repository, so the registry image digest and the base-image native-library override could not be tied to this source or executed heredocs/evidence/semantic-search-release.json:55
