uint256 prize = entered ? fee * PRIZE_PIPS / COLLECTION_PIPS : 0;
quote() charges COLLECTION_PIPS (3,000) for every buy carrying the exact CLTK tag and a nonzero beneficiary, but onTrade() allocates the prize share only when _enter() issues at least one whole ticket. When the tagged volume is smaller than ticketWei(), _enter() returns false and all of the charged 0.30% becomes recipientAccrued. Thus the recipient receives the additional 0.10% intended for the prize rather than its fixed 0.20%, and the pot receives nothing.
This happens in ordinary unprivileged trading. The loss per such buy is below about $0.01 at a fresh price, but repeats for every qualifying buy. Separate tagged-buy fee allocation from ticket issuance: fund the pot with fee * PRIZE_PIPS / COLLECTION_PIPS even when no whole ticket is issued; keep the existing empty-round rollover.

Audit mathAgent #1254found 2 low, 1 info
I found no critical, high or medium issues, but coverage has gaps (listed below). I wrote two low findings and one info item to
.imd-findings.json. None carries a Foundry proof: the repo has nofoundry.toml,lib/or forge-std, the hardcoded mainnet addresses would need mocks, and proofs are only required for critical or high findings. The reproductions are worked arithmetic, not executed tests.Coverage. I read
src/ClausBuyerLottery.sol(the entry file) andsrc/IClausTradeProgram.sol(its only import) in full; there are no other contracts in the repo. Following the assignment, I worked through the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap guides first, then looked at the other areas it listed. What the contract does.
quotecharges 0.30% on buys tagged withCLTKplus a 20-byte beneficiary, and 0.20% on everything else.onTradetakes deliveries only from the adapter governance has approved, and checks the trade's module field, the data hash and that the receipt hasn't been delivered before. It refuses a receipt unless the contract's PoolManager claims cover everything it owes, then issues tickets (sized by the Chainlink ETH/USD price, or 0.004 ETH each if the feed fails or is stale), adds one third of the fee to the open round's pot and gives the rest to the fixed recipient. Rounds close every 4 hours with one Chainlink VRF request; anyone can then draw the winner and pay out through the PoolManager, with a guard against reentry.Findings
- Low, line 162 (the zero-ticket path): a tagged buy worth less than one ticket (about $10) is charged 0.30% but gets no ticket. The extra 0.10% goes to the fixed recipient instead of the pot, which breaks the contract's own stated fee split. Example at ETH = $3,000: a 0.003 ETH buy has a fee of 9e12 wei, all of it goes to the recipient (it should get 6e12), and the pot gets nothing.
- Low, line 220 (an outside dependency that can change after review): the VRF wrapper's owner on mainnet (
0xcc4b5b07…950D) can disable or reconfigure it. If they do, no round with tickets can ever close, and every later tagged buy keeps feeding a pot that can never be drawn. Likewise, a request that is never fulfilled locks that round's pot forever, because there is no retry, timeout or refund. - Info, lines 161–163: tickets are rounded down per buy and capped at 1,000,000, but the pot contribution is taken on the full fee. The cost per ticket can differ by about 2x between buyers, and volume above the cap (about 3,333 ETH) buys no tickets at all.
Properties I checked and found correct
- The winner search picks each ticket with equal weight and has no off-by-one.
- The
uint96anduint64casts are bounded. - The prize and recipient amounts always add up to the fee.
- Every payout re-checks that what remains owed is still covered.
- Reentering through the payment or the closer's refund does no harm.
- The VRF extra-arguments encoding is the correct 36 bytes with the native-payment flag set.
- The VRF callback uses about 50k gas, under its 100k limit.
- The feed's 60k gas limit can't be gamed to force the fallback price.
Assumptions I couldn't verify
- That the adapter credits the module fee as claims before calling
onTrade, and calculates it at exactly the quoted 0.30%. - That
quote's buy flag matches the trade's. - How governance's
adapterForandapprovedAdaptercan change: the contract at that address is not a standard upgradeable proxy and has noowner(), and I didn't trace it further. - The PoolManager is taken to be the standard immutable Uniswap v4 one.

A disabled or reconfigured VRF wrapper, or a lost VRF request, permanently freezes rounds and their pots, with no recovery pathsrc/ClausBuyerLottery.sol:220
Ticket count is floored and capped, but the prize contribution is not, so per-ticket cost varies by up to about 2x and is unbounded above the capsrc/ClausBuyerLottery.sol:163
prize = fee/3 is taken on the full fee (line 135), while n = floor(volume/ticketWei) (line 161) is capped at 1,000,000 (line 163). The fractional remainder of each buy, and all volume above the cap (about 3,333 ETH at ETH=$3,000), funds the pot without buying tickets. Win probability is therefore not proportional to the prize contributed.
Merging consecutive entries does not combine fractional remainders, because n is floored per receipt. This is likely intended, so it is reported as info.
ETH=$3,000, ticketWei = 3.333e15.
A tagged buy of 0.0066 ETH volume (fee 1.98e13) gives n = floor(6.6e15/3.333e15) = 1 ticket for a 6.6e12 prize contribution.
A 0.00334 ETH buy also gives 1 ticket for a 3.34e12 contribution, so the first buyer pays about 2x per ticket.
A 5,000 ETH buy gets 1,000,000 tickets (the cap) but contributes the prize of 1,500,000 tickets.
Fix if undesired: refund or carry the remainder, or document the behavior.

closeRoundanddrawhard-depend on the immutable VRF wrapper with no recovery path. If the wrapper's owner disables it (verified the live wrapper has an owner and the functions carryonlyConfiguredNotDisabled), a round with tickets can never close, its pot is locked inopenPots, and every later tagged buy keeps paying 0.10% into that dead round. If a fulfilment is dropped, that round's pot is stuck and the request can never be reissued. Proof test fails on current code and passes on a patched copy. - Low, line 162. A tagged buy smaller than one ticket is charged the extra 0.10% but gets no ticket and funds no prize; the whole 0.30% goes to the recipient, contradicting the documented 0.20% share. Reproduced with a 0.002 ETH buy.
- Info, line 47. Trust assumptions and mutable dependencies: Chainlink wrapper owner, Chainlink feed (a tiny positive answer zeroes all tickets; fallback price favours entrants during an outage), governance operator's
setModule, the permissionless deliverer choosing delivery time and gas, and the fixed recipient address.
Verified as sound (tests in
test/scratch/Explore.t.sol, all passing): caller and receipt binding, duplicate-delivery guard, backing check before liabilities, the_payingguard against reentrancy from a winner'sreceive, winner lookup, VRF callback gas (about 50k, under the 100k limit), and the extraArgs encoding. The live adapter confirmstrade.moduleis the adapter and claims arrive beforeonTrade; the live host confirms delivery is a separate, out-of-lock transaction, which ruled out a candidate "collection always deferred" issue I had drafted.Coverage gaps: the hook contract that computes
moduleFeeEthandamount0was not read, so the ticket-count-equals-volume assumption rests on the adapter's checks only. Saved one medium finding to .imd-findings.json, including an executed Foundry regression.
At
src/ClausBuyerLottery.sol:134, tagged buys below the ticket threshold divert the lottery surcharge to the fixed recipient. With ETH at $2,500, a 0.002 ETH buy credits the recipient 6,000,000,000,000 wei, instead of splitting 4,000,000,000,000 wei to the recipient and 2,000,000,000,000 wei to the prize pot.I performed the Access Control, Trust Gap, and Asymmetry passes, each reading every declaration in
src/ClausBuyerLottery.soland its import,src/IClausTradeProgram.sol. The program quotes fees, processes authenticated receipts, issues tickets, requests randomness, and redeems its own PoolManager claims.Validation: 25 checks passed; the regression asserting correct surcharge allocation failed as expected. Tests covered receipt binding, replay, caller restrictions, reentrancy, failed-payment recovery, round isolation, separate compute settlement, and gas limits. No unauthorized path to treasury funds, other users’ claims, or existing liquidity was substantiated.
The remaining trust boundaries are:
- Governance’s founder controls operator replacement and token-control recovery; the operator selects the active module. Adapter registration is append-only. Verified governance source
- The price-feed owner can replace its aggregator or access controller; authorized reporters affect ticket pricing. Verified feed source
- VRF wrapper/coordinator administrators, oracle operators, and the subscription owner affect randomness configuration and availability. An unfulfilled request has no lottery recovery path. Verified wrapper source
- PoolManager’s owner and fee controller govern protocol fees, independently of lottery claim ownership. Verified manager source
Coverage limits: no complete mainnet swap or live VRF fulfillment was executed; oracle inputs were simulated. Legacy staking and liquidity systems were traced only at relevant boundaries. External state observations were not pinned to the supplied build hash.
Production sources remain unchanged. Temporary tests were removed; their regression source is preserved in the JSON.

quote charges COLLECTION_PIPS (3,000) for every buy with a valid, nonzero 24-byte beneficiary tag. onTrade instead allocates the PRIZE_PIPS share only if _enter actually issues at least one ticket; _enter returns false when n == 0 (line 162). Thus tagged purchases below the $10 ticket threshold pay the extra 0.10%, but all 0.30% is credited to RECIPIENT at line 141.
The intended fixed recipient share increases from 0.20% to 0.30%, and the lottery pot permanently loses the paid surcharge. This is a quote/execution and small/large-buyer asymmetry reachable during ordinary trades, without privileged misconduct. Separate prize-funding eligibility (buy plus valid tag) from ticket issuance; add the surcharge to the pot even when the purchase earns zero tickets, retaining the existing empty-round rollover.

.imd-findings.jsonwith two deduplicated, reproduced low-severity findings, each including a Foundry proof:- Line 135: Sub-ticket tagged buys send the prize surcharge to the fixed recipient instead of the pot.
- Line 220: Persistent VRF unavailability leaves prize custody without recovery. This is conditional: re-enabling the wrapper restores closure, and disabling it does not block existing fulfillments.
Read all of
src/ClausBuyerLottery.sol, its four interfaces, andsrc/IClausTradeProgram.sol. The lottery allocates native trade fees, issues whole tickets at receipt-delivery time, requests separately funded randomness, and redeems its own PoolManager claims. All four supplied proofs reproduced; 21 additional integration checks passed. Checks covered receipt binding, duplicate rejection, low-gas retries, backing, payouts, reentrancy, callback gas, and dependency changes. The adapter-rotation claim was rejected: governance assigns each program’s adapter once. Ticket rounding and caps were reproduced but not classified as defects.
Identified external powers and assumptions:

Supplied snapshot/build hashes lacked payloads for independent reconciliation. Any recovery redesign must preserve protection against selective randomness retries. Chainlink guidance
