Build a polished small HTML5 browser game named Lily Hop for the Pepe2Pepe game launchpad.

Single-player arcade: a green frog jumps between lily pads, avoids moving hazards, collects coins, score and three lives, 60-second rounds, title/tutorial, pause/resume, game-over/restart, keyboard WASD/arrows plus touch controls. Attractive vector/canvas pond art, clear readable UI, responsive desktop/mobile, juicy but restrained animation and optional synthesized sounds after gesture, mute control. Real playable game, no server required.

Use relative ./ asset paths, static export dist/index.html, no external CDNs, no wallet, no token, no paid prizes, no network dependencies. Store local best score only if storage is available, catch SecurityError because the game runs in an opaque-origin sandbox. Add a attractive 1200x630 cover.svg and pepe-game.json to dist.

Manifest JSON exactly: {"schemaVersion":"pepe-browser-game/1","title":"Lily Hop","version":"1.0.0","summary":"Hop across the pond, dodge the hazards, and bring home the coins.","description":"A quick arcade pond run. Collect coins and survive for 60 seconds.","controls":"Arrow keys or WASD to hop. Use the on-screen arrows on mobile.

P pauses.","genre":"arcade","players":1,"mobile":true,"entry":"index.html","cover":"cover.svg"}. Implement optional non-privileged iframe bridge: listen to postMessage from window.parent with data {protocol:"pepe-game/1",type:"init",channel:string}; save channel, reply to parent {protocol:"pepe-game/1",type:"ready",channel} using targetOrigin "*" since embedding may be sandboxed. On game over reply {protocol:"pepe-game/1",type:"score",channel,score:integer}.

Accept pause/resume messages only from window.parent with matching protocol/channel; no credentials ever. Work standalone too. Include README run/build commands and gameplay test checklist, run production build.

Publish static export to IPFS and ENS via the requested hosting flag. Do not attempt to register on Pepe2Pepe or use any admin APIs; I will submit the resulting pinned release for review after testing.

Saved three medium findings with exact source snippets, measured reproductions, and fixes in .imd-findings.json:

    • bug: starting a scrolled mobile round leaves most of the pond above the viewport. At 390px with 200% text, starting preserves the scroll offset while the stage shrinks, leaving only 74.5px visible. Bring the game into view after the layout changes.
    • accessibility: hit feedback overflows the phone viewport at 200% text. At 320px, the message measures 352.33px and extends beyond both edges. Constrain its width and allow wrapping.
    • taste: four slogans compete with the game on the first phone screen. Keep “Make a little splash.” and its gameplay sentence; remove the surrounding promotional lines while retaining directions.

The 21 engine tests and 10 Chromium browser checks passed. A production build in a temporary copy matched the committed export byte for byte. WebKit could not launch because required system libraries were missing; Safari remains unverified.

The probe’s layout and contrast failures measure invisible canvas fallback text. Its remaining failure flags the game frame’s border plus shadow, an established design choice. These were excluded from findings.

    • mediumbug: starting a scrolled mobile round leaves most of the pond above the viewportsrc/main.ts:84

Now: Starting or resuming focuses the canvas with preventScroll: true while the mobile stage shrinks to its playing aspect ratio. The old scroll offset survives, so a player who scrolled to the Play button starts with the timer, lives and most of the board offscreen.

Change to: After applying the playing layout, check the game shell position in the next animation frame; if its top is above the viewport, scroll the shell into view with block: "start" and behavior: "instant", then focus the canvas. Keep the current scroll position when the game is already in view.

Why: A playable, responsive arcade game must reveal the board and round statistics when play starts; the player should not lose round time finding the frog after activating the primary action.

      Chromium, 390×844 mobile viewport.

Load dist/index.html, set document.documentElement.style.fontSize = "32px" (200% text), scroll until Play Lily Hop is centered in the viewport, and tap it.

Expected: the active board and statistics are brought into view.

Actual: scrollY stays 869 while the stage height collapses from 784.55px to 283.72px; its top is -209.22px and bottom is 74.50px, leaving only 74.50px of the pond visible as the countdown starts.

Repeated at 320×844: scrollY stays 883, stage top=-175.83px and bottom=62.30px.

This happens on start before any hop or collision and is separate from feedback-text overflow.

    • mediumaccessibility: hit feedback overflows the phone viewport at 200% textsrc/styles.css:148

Now: The hit-feedback message is absolutely centered with white-space: nowrap and no width limit. At 200% text, its left edge falls outside the phone viewport.

Change to: Give .game-feedback inline-size: max-content; max-inline-size: calc(100% - 24px); white-space: normal; and text-align: center so the whole message wraps within the pond.

Why: The brief requires a clear, readable, responsive mobile UI; enlarging text must preserve the life-loss explanation without horizontal overflow.

      Chromium, 320×844 CSS-pixel mobile viewport.

Load dist/index.html, set document.documentElement.style.fontSize = "32px" (200% text, the same enlargement method used in test/accessibility.test.mjs), select Play Lily Hop, then press Right, Right, Up with 200ms between presses to land in the water at column 6, row 5.

Scroll back to the pond while the message is visible.

Expected: the complete message remains inside the viewport.

      Actual: "Splash!

Land on a lily pad." measures 352.33px wide, with left=-16.16px and right=336.16px; document.scrollWidth grows from 320 to 336.

The first characters are outside the left edge.

The supplied title-only taste@1 layout check does not exercise this state.

    • mediumtaste: four slogans compete with the game on the first phone screenpublic/index.html:49

Now: The first screen stacks "A little pond. A 60-second adventure.", "One happy little escape", "Make a little splash.", and "Little hops. Big possibilities." around the game; the last slogan precedes the actual controls.

Change to: Keep "Make a little splash." and its gameplay sentence. Delete .game-intro p, #overlay-tag (including its lookup and phase updates in main.ts), and #game-directions > p > strong; retain the existing arrow/WASD/pause directions. Let the intro close to the height of its existing best-score panel and re-center the remaining overlay content inside the existing pond.

Why: The supplied copy bar calls for one strong headline/explainer pair and cutting a stack of four or more slogans. The pond illustration already supplies the personality; directions should be immediately readable beside their controls.

      At 390×844, load dist/index.html at scrollY=0.

All four quoted slogans are visible above the fold: the intro paragraph, #overlay-tag, #overlay-heading, and the bold line in #game-directions.

The intro paragraph occupies two 21px lines plus 6px top margin (48px), while Play Lily Hop begins at y=538.14px.

At 1440×900 the same four lines are visible. taste@1 slogans reports only three two-beat lines because its heuristic excludes the single-sentence heading and tag; the screenshot confirms the four separate promotional lines.
