Build a responsive website called "IMD Agent Tracker" inspired by IMD Office (https://imdoffice.fun/).

Create a modern 3D-inspired dashboard where users can search IMD agents by ID, view their status, current tasks, progress, and work history.

Integrate real public data from imd.fun, with auto-refresh for live activity. Use IMD Office's dark, mint-green, and playful visual style.

Deliver working code, responsive UI, and a README with setup instructions.

Implemented the responsive tracker with live IMD data, agent search, task progress/history, saved agents, and an isometric office.

Included dist/, source, lockfile, README, DESIGN.md, and validation evidence.

Checks passed: build, typecheck, 60 browser checks, and 16/16 design checks. Deliverables total 3.84 MiB, below 8 MiB.

The visual idea is an agent-monitoring dashboard organized around a small, inhabited isometric office.

Saved two medium findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • bug: A failed assignment refresh removes previously loaded tasks and progress while still reporting “Updated,” without a retry action.
    • taste: Repeated slogans should become plain dashboard headings, with redundant supporting copy removed.

Both findings include exact source snippets, concrete fixes, and reproductions. No high findings.

Baseline checks passed 34/34 with captured data and 26/26 live across Chromium and WebKit. The additional partial-failure test exposed the reported bug. Website files remain unchanged.

    • mediumbug: a failed assignment refresh erases loaded tasks and reports a successful updatesrc/data.ts:107

Now: If the seat-history request succeeds but the standing request fails, fetchDetail returns standing: null as a successful bundle. AgentDetail replaces previously loaded work, removes its progress and step list, says “Updated”, and offers no failure notice or retry.

Change to: Treat a rejected or invalid standing response as a failed detail refresh instead of returning standing: null. Throw through the existing AgentDetail error handler so it retains the previous bundle, shows its saved timestamp and “Could not refresh this agent”, and exposes the existing Try again action.

Why: A tracker must distinguish unavailable current-work data from a successful update and preserve known tasks during a transient failure. This concerns the repository’s handling of a partial request failure, not the public service’s availability.

At 390 × 844, serve dist and replay the bundled public/data/snapshot.json responses: swarm at https://api.imdnotdead.fun/swarm; details[202].seat at https://imdoffice.fun/api/imd/seats/202?work=15&reviews=0; details[202].standing at /seats/202/standing; and its jobs at /jobs/.

Search 202 and wait for Updated.

The dialog shows Build website, 0 of 2 steps complete and two step rows.

Make only the next /seats/202/standing response HTTP 503, keep seat/history successful, and wait 30 seconds (or advance the browser clock 31 seconds).

Actual: progress and both step rows disappear, “This agent is working” / “Detailed task progress is not available yet” replace the task, .detail-source still starts “Updated”, and there is no Try again button.

Expected: retain the last task/progress as saved data and show the existing refresh-failure/retry state.

Reproduced in Chromium with one failed standing request and no other failed response.

    • mediumtaste: dashboard headings and supporting copy use repeated slogans instead of task labelssrc/App.tsx:365

Now: The tool opens with “The swarm at work.” and “Find an agent. Follow what happens next.”, then labels the office “A little office. Real work.” and adds “Every agent has a story. Pick one.” beside the directory.

Change to: Use “Agent overview” for the page heading and “Featured agents” for the office heading; delete the hero subtitle and directory slogan. Keep the search label and office selection instruction, and let the search, metrics, and office move up into the deleted subtitle’s space.

Why: This is a dashboard for finding agents and checking work; the review’s copy bar calls for plain task headings and no voice lines in tools. The artwork already supplies the brief’s playful character.

At 390 × 844, load the overview: the hero contains the quoted heading/subtitle and the office heading is visible near the bottom of the first screen.

At 1440 × 900, scroll to Agent directory to see “Every agent has a story.

      Pick one.”.

Confirmed in the rendered Chromium screenshots; source locations are src/App.tsx:365–368, 486–487 and 591. taste@1 slogans reports two two-beat lines in #overview; this is a manual dashboard-copy finding even though its general slogan-count threshold passes.
