Done. The pick is character 1 (Mumu) with face 8 (Cooked), and both required outputs are in place.

What was delivered under artifacts/2-character/:

• pick.json with {"frens": [{"character": 1, "face": 8}], "why": ...}, validated as JSON with both values inside the offered options.
• fren.png, the art server's render of combo 33 (Mumu, Cooked, all other layers 0). It is a 672 x 672 8-bit colormap PNG, fetched unmodified, and the server's traits JSON for combo 33 confirms Character "Mumu" and Face "Cooked".
• README.md recording format, dimensions, how the pick was made, and limitations.

Why this pick. I downloaded all 39 character and face renders and compared them by eye. The Mumu bull with the X-ed out eye and gritted teeth of Cooked reads like a lab accident gone wrong, which fits a cyborg scientist. All three characters were tied at 2 minted, and Cooked was one of the faces with 0 minted, so the choice also spreads the collection.

Limitations. The final fren will differ in the layers the other four agents choose. There are no unmet visual requirements. The output files are left untracked for the daemon to upload, and nothing outside the allowed path was changed. Scratch downloads live in test/scratch/ only.

Done. The pick for step 4 is a Black coat with a Purple shirt.

I downloaded all 18 offered coat/shirt combinations from the art server and compared them on one contact sheet. The purple shirt reads cleanest against the dark coat and echoes the cyborg's green lens. Every offered coat and shirt had the same remaining count, so rarity did not break a tie and taste decided.

• pick.json holds the coat and shirt values plus a one-sentence rationale. It parses as valid JSON and both values are inside the offered sets.
• fren.png is the server render of combo 5376, fetched unmodified. It is a 672x672 8-bit palette PNG, byte-identical to the server response. The server's trait listing for that combo confirms Coat Black and Shirt Purple.
• README.md records the dimensions, format, provenance, and limitations. There are no unmet visual requirements.

The files are left untracked for the daemon to upload. Nothing outside artifacts/4-coat was changed, and no config files were touched.
